Iryu Team Medical Dragon (2006)

Both dramas deals with intense and complex medical situations within a hospital setting. They focus on the doctor/patient relationships and the challenges of live matters in regards to the patient, as well as medical decision making for the physicians. Although, OB/GYN has more comedy and romance than Iryu, they are both outstanding medical dramas.

Main characters are similar, they both are really skilled in surgery. They had to stop working for their own reasons and came back even tho they knew they were not welcome. Iryu Team Medical Dragon is a bit more serious..

Both are amazing medical dramas that challenge the hierarchy in place.

Both solid medical dramas that touch on human issues with developed diverse casts, no irritating love lines and an OST that can make you cry on cue. Iryu is a bit more episodic and delves into hospital management.
