The final act is the main highlight
It surprisingly turns out that this is less of an action movie than ever, in contrast to its movie poster and trailer that screams adrenaline. The focus on the tension between Hwang Jung Min as diplomat, and Hyun Bin as NIS agent is the main driver that pushes the movie forward, but that could be a hit or miss sometimes. The final act will be the main highlight of this movie, Hwang Jung Min's sheer amount of acting skills during the final negotiation is so prominent that it's keeping the audience at the edge of seats induced in fear. Overall the cinematography was shot with great attention to details, and a storyline that works well, it's still a brilliant movie to be fair.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I really enjoyed watching this film. The pace, the feeling of chaos, the diplomatic infighting that must go on, the old guard verses a more proactive approach. I thought the two male leads did a fantastic job backed up by the translator, the support actors did a really good job adding to the atmosphere. The cinematography was brilliant, capturing the stunning scenery beautifully. i believe it was filmed in Jordan a country i would love to have visited.
All in all a entertaining watch which i will probably visit again.

a cinematic revelation that compelled to step out of comfort zone
The Point Men is a cinematic revelation that compelled me to step out of my comfort zone, primarily driven by the magnetic presence of Hyun Bin as the lead actor. While not my usual genre of choice, this movie managed to captivate me from start to finish. However, what truly sets it apart is the electrifying chemistry between the lead actors. Their performances infuse the characters' struggles with palpable emotions, allowing the audience to connect deeply with their plight. This synergy between compelling acting and a well-crafted narrative elevates the film above the typical confines of a hostage drama.
Although the storyline is fictionalized, it sheds light on a remarkable real-life event where Korean hostages were held by the Taliban. The movie delves into the intricate negotiations between a Korean diplomat and a Taliban representative, resulting in a dramatic narrative filled with tension and intrigue.
It is a testament to the power of storytelling, offering a gripping tale that keeps you at the edge of seat throughout. It's an inspiring reminder that cinema has the capacity to take us on unexpected journeys, exploring the human spirit even in the most challenging circumstances. This movie is a must-watch for those seeking an exhilarating and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
