This was one of those dramas that are unforgettable. Plot of the story is wonderful, acting professional and very good, music nice, but the views and romantic chemistry between the leads was out of this world. Such a powerful performance! Till the end the drama did not disappoint me, but the ending although satisfactory, looked too rushed to me. The main lead actress was not only beautiful, but playing a blind woman was to perfection and she could have fooled us all thinking how real it was. It was very real and she did outstanding job! I cried a little in this drama, I did not laugh, and my heart bled when watching those two leads performing with such deep emotions. You should not neglect this drama. Very maturely done, with great cast too. I gave it such a high rating because it deserves all the applause it should get. After watching it - you will have a completely different definition of love and what it stands for.

where do i even start, my man jo in sung just hands down and our most beautiful girl song hye kyo. this melodrama brings out the characteristics of these two fine people and lets not forget kim kibum. the ost was really awsome i wish i knew the name. jo in sung was just tear easy he would just stand at one point and tears come out i mean seriously are korean people made out of tears, they can cry in an instant. anyways the story of a rich blind heiress who falls for a conman and is surrounded by untrustworthy people. i watched the movie version "love me not" and they kept the same story line. the last episodes was sad but it also left us with unanswered questions, wot happened to boss kim, and wot happened btwn oh soo and jin sung

The best drama ever with Superb acting of Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo. Body language, movements of the lips, fingers and mouth are observed in the portrayal of their characters. Very passionate and they are admirable as couples.

I could never get tired looking at them on screen. They are so good together especially when their faces are so near each other when they sleep together. And the beautiful scenes of nature does count to the beautiful love story.

The ending was perfect which I will never forget.
Indeed, fate is not created but as the wind still blows the bells will ring to it.

I read the reviews as i watched it and honestly almost dropped it by the negativity from them especially when people stated how bad the ending was - the ending is the BEST PART; but luckily i literally went with my emotions and i am SO SO SO HAPPY i did not drop it.

This is by far the BEST live show i have watched so far. Even when i think of my anime list; it surpasses it - although could be on the same level as 'Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan'(Manga).
These stories drag you in as the story goes on that you start to feel emotions like you are living them yourself

Despite its slow progression, for once i was hooked each episode that i finished it in less than 24hrs.
I felt as the lies started being explained, it totally made sense why certain people, had such tense relationships. And as each person's past choices started being revealed; the acting of each actor portrayed such sincerity and passion that i literally felt pure understanding and empathy.

MUSIC:
Each piece of music sorted the moment; even though certain songs were repeated; it did not matter because the emphasized the emotions of the scene each time.
At times i would just sit their rewarding certain songs (hahaha)

ACTING:
No negative comment about the acting of Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo because their truly portrayed their characters so well; at times i felt the story as true

So what can I say about TWTWB. First of all, the cinematography is absolutely out of this world. The scenery shots are all beautiful, pastel, blended and even the costumes are pretty much a perfect fit. It's like the drama is a painting. Getting that out of the way, the story is pretty much your standard melodrama. It's full angst, deep love, bromance, and unwavering loyalty of all kinds. Even some of the would be villains are redeemed. For me, 5/6 of the drama was amazing. BUT, the last few episodes were a bit rushed and full of loop holes in my opinion. There are some characters, mainly Moo Chul, that I would have been glad to see get more screen time especially at the end. He was jipped and glossed over! Plus, the whole happy ending seems almost farcical to me on one level. Perhaps its because I've seen the movie version first, Love Me Not, that it has biased me against the drama. The ending really seems unrealistic. I did hear rumors that netizens pleaded with the writer for a happy ending. I understand why his best friend did what he did at the end, but HOW did he survive it? EH? Just thinking back to how Maru in Nice Guy almost was a goner reminds me of this. Why would Boss Man let him go too? Hmmm? Anyways, overall, it is a great drama, plus or minus the ending, depending on what you prefer. For me, I could have cut it off at any section before the last 6 min and have been satisfied. To end on a happy note, I believe this is one of Jo In Sung's greatest performances. His sorrow and self-torture was portrayed deeply and every gesture spoke of his feelings. As for Young, it is one of the only roles I ever liked her in. If I didn't know she could see, I really would have thought she was blind! Jin Sung and Hee Sun were lovely secondary characters and surprisingly fleshed out. Overall, this drama is worth your time!

My eyes hurt, not because i cried, but because i was hooked by the computer and finished it in 1,5 days. I waited till it finished airing, and now i see that i made a right decision, cuz it would be impossible to start it and wait for weeks to finish watching it. I never expected that it would be such a great drama, though it was a very popular one. I never give scores before finishing the drama, but in this case after watching the first 2-3 episodes i gave it 10/10. In this drama everything was perfect- story, acting, music, romance between the blind heiress and the fake brother....... There were times that made me think it wouldn't have a happy ending, but fortunaltely it had.
I highly recommend everyone to watch this drama.

Once again I feel like I'm the minority here. This drama... was a disappointment, a great one at that. This won't make it even close to my favorite dramas list, even though in the beginning I was totally in love. Still, I think this show is worth trying. Who knows... so many people loved it after all.

The beginning was awesome but after wrapping this up I now look back wondering what did I even like about this in the first place? What? The show rings hollow, 16 episodes and nothing really happened. The characters didn't really grow, bad won over the good, pathetic ending, unanswered questions.

I must admit acting here was pretty good, SHK was like a really blind person, JIS was intense and Kimbun cute. What else do you need? They really invested a lot into cinematography but that's about it...

The intensity of the first half was replaced by boredom around episode 10 if not before that. The director and writer did it so well, they cheated me into thinking like something was happening but the more I watched the more I realized that nothing was going on at all, the whole story could be wrapped up in some 2 hours. This would have been a great movie.

I feel betrayed by the ending which didn't make much sense in general. The plot twist was pathetic, unreasonable and felt like a last minute decision. Sure it came out of the blue but seriously, it just made no sense.

Strange characters kept popping out, they stayed for a few minutes and then disappeared. In fact, the whole drama went in depth only with Yongie and secretary Wang, the others were left in the shades. Like, why would anyone care about them? Even Soo's background was introduced hastily and in the end his character stayed one dimensional after all.

Okay, and I must mention that Yongie, the main girl, drove me crazy with her annoying character. During three last episodes I downright loathed her for being such a disappointment to simply everyone around her.

Since the secrets were revealed quite late in the show I was waiting for something interesting but to avail. What was revealed wasn't anything special and it turned out the truth had been there all along, the boring truth.

I've got to hand it to the director of That Winter, The Wind Blows because this drama was beautifully shot. The lighting, camera angles and pastel colour palette were all very appealing to the eye. But beneath that superficial shell there was barely anything of value.

Whilst it certainly started off well - with the first 5 to 6 episodes being good - TWTWB eventually ran out of steam before it even hit the halfway mark, turning into a limp, thinly spread out drama with glaringly obvious plot holes that were almost migraine-inducing. Just when you think that the plot is heading somewhere interesting, the writer goes and fucks everything up making you feel like you've been had. I found it to be a major insult to my intelligence when The Big Reveal was finally revealed after being dragged on for what felt like a milllennium. What was revealed was already known by the audience RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING, and after that nothing much happened. There was no explanation of the characters' motives and neither was there a satisfying story of redemption (or failed redemption). Instead, all we got was needless exposition and lots of angst. Which meant I wasted 16 bloody hours on a weeping mess. A weeping mess that wasn't even fun to watch. And what was with that totally deceitful and illogical ending that totally disrupted the tone of the show? I could forgive the ending in Innocent Man because the whole show had been the total opposite of TWTWB and it was what I wanted to see, and was totally deserved, despite the execution being rather iffy, but the ending in TWTWB was just farcical. Don't even get me started on that creepy as fuck faux-incest either. I'm still trying to wipe that out of my head.

Sometimes a weak plot can be saved if the characters are relatable. However, TWTWB's writer seems to have failed on all fronts because all of the characters were flat as a cardboard cut-out and failed to ignite any sympathy from me. The only one who was remotely interesting was Hee Sun, otherwise I couldn't have cared less about what happened to the rest of them. Oh Young was the one I hated the most - she started off as selfish and conceited, and she ended as selfish as conceited. She also talked too much, way too much, and most of what she had to say was repetitive, superficial and incredibly vapid. But at the end of the day, her character progression was like all of the others: it simply did not exist. How the two leads ended up falling in love with each other is simply beyond me, but I guess toxic attracts toxic

I've seen a lot of praise in regards to the acting, namely the performances provided by Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo. Honestly, while these two were quite good - and I use the word in the prespective sense - their performances suffered during the latter parts of the drama. Jo In Sung's tendency to overact when it comes to more emotionally powerful scenes is cringeworthy and Song Hye Kyo's face eventually came to resemble that of a dead fish. OK, I get it, she's blind, but that doesn't hinder her ability to look like a human being on screen. You can tell these two became tired by their performances, but who can blame them when their characters were so pathetic to begin with?

That Winter, The Wind Blows decides to threw logic out of the window in favour of a highly stylised drama that lacks both a proper storyline and depth. It's plot induced stupidity is an insult to intelligence and its characters are some of the most insufferable people to date. If I hadn't enjoyed the first 6 episodes,TWTDB wouldn't have scored more than a 2. If you like to be respected as a viewer, avoid it all costs - and I mean ALL.

This drama doesn't follow the korean drama template. The one here the girl is either stupid or aggressive for no reason. I had my doubts about this drama since the female character was blind, I just thought knowing how kdramas, that the writers was going to abuse her blindness and focus the hole story on how shes hopeless without male lead. this really wasn't the case. if you not sure on whether you should watch this just do it, `This drama was so beautifully done, their acting is the best iv seen in all the korean dramas i have watched. This broke off the conventional everything for korean dramas and i hope to see more modern drama like this.

After the first episode, I was completely absorbed in this drama. My expectations were very high after the first episode (which is already a mistake), but I couldn't help it. This kdrama was one of the best kdramas I've ever seen, though not my favorite, very griping and mind-provoking. This definitely will have you at the edge of ur seat. I'm gonna state right off the bat that this is a heavy drama, as in not one I'd really rewatch. Maybe I will at some point, but definitely no time soon. And not because this drama isn't good, because I think this drama is excellent (I watched it in two days), but the themes are so serious and I'm more of a light-hearted gal myself. The only true issue I have with this drama is the finale, it was very confusing and not very satisfying. The ending felt lazy and rushed, and I was left thinking "that's it"?

I originally decided to watch this because of Song Hye Kyo, but her character wasn't very likable to me. Then I saw Kim Bum was in this, and I knew I had to watch. But honestly, Jo In Sung made this drama for me, and now I want to watch everything with him in it. His laugh kills me lmao, but that's neither here nor there. The acting and cast was phenomenal. The ost was breathtaking. This drama was beautiful.

In Sung's character, Oh Soo, is a gambler/con-man who shares the same name as Oh Yeong's brother. Oh Yeong is blind and believes there's no one she can trust, and Oh Soo is mistaken as Oh Yeong's brother. This case of mistaken identity happens at the most opportune moment, because Oh Soo has gotten himself into some serious trouble, and he has a large debt to pay or else he'll be killed. Oh Yeong's family just happens to be rich, so Oh Soo pretends to be her long lost brother so he can get the money to pay off his debt. Gaining Oh Yeong's trust is much harder than he thought, and in the process of doing so he falls in love with her.

It's really a beautiful story. Only reason why I didn't rate it higher is because of the finale, I was just left so unsatisfied and had a lot of questions that never got answered. I really did enjoy this drama though, and I'd definitely recommend it, especially to those looking for a serious, different type of love story (because this one's definitely not typical).

Though this drama could easily have been scored an overall 10, I chose a 9 simply because of the ending. It's not a bad ending, though I personally didn't like it, but it's ambiguous as hell and I HATE that. It leaves you wondering what really happened... and after such a great emotional drama roller coaster, don't do that to the viewer!

Summary: The story and acting are top notch, and the acting so much so that you fall into the characters without realizing you've done so. I'm lucky that I started watching it after all episodes aired and could do a 16 hour marathon or I might have had a heart attack. The ability for the story and actors to blend so well that you feel punched in the gut at times, cry like a baby, and smile through the tears is amazing. Few dramas achieve that this well. For most of the drama, the first 13 or 14 episodes, there is nothing incomplete and it just flows right along. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but about ep 14, it feels a bit off, but it still moves you. The OST is fantastic and matched the moods perfectly.

As for the cast, Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo had some of the best on-screen chemistry I've seen in a while. Song Hye Kyo played the tortured blind heiress like she grew up that way and you felt like you really were watching Jo In Sung grow from street thug to respectable human right in front of your eyes. There were other really great actors/actresses in this cast, but these two just captivated me.

All in all, this movie was put on my top 5 favorite list for a reason. It has it's flaws, the ending being the biggest in my opinion, but jerked my heart strings like a professional guitar player.
