Too Much sacrifice for love!
I watched it recently in Netflix and got me frustrated most of the time. I actually forwarded almost all episodes.. lol. Si Feng's sacrifice was just too much! I was also waiting for him to get that BIG redemption arc where he is this SUPER strong character that wipes out all the enemies, but until the end, he was still all about the FL, then poof! went into coma. The effects were great though & glad it was still a happy ending, coz I'd be really frustrated if Si Feng went through all that difficulties, then just dies at the end.. I just think the story should have been better, if they weren't torturing the ML most of the time. =D. It was an okay drama overall.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Gosh I'm so late
I actually really liked this drama in the beginning. I didn't mind the childish FL because she has a reason for being like that. But then it started getting draggy and I just completely lost interest.Let's talk about the good things first, the acting. Cheng Yi did a brilliant job portraying Si Feng and is very good at emotional scene especially ones that include crying. I really like Liu Xue Yi in this too, although I wouldn't say his acting is at Cheng Yi's level but he still did pretty good and I especially loved his character. I actually really liked the villains in the show which are him, Yuan Lang and Wu Tong, I was basically rooting for them to defeat the main characters.
The costumes and sets were pretty nice as well, I thought Yuan Bing Yan looked really pretty in the beginning but apparently a lot of people disliked it. The CGI although not as great as Ashes of Love was still decent and acceptable. Si Feng's fighting scenes in the beginning was really impressive.
The songs were amazing, I loved the title song sung bu Liu Yu Ning.
Now on to the not so great parts.....
Firstly, who edited this drama? Because holy shit, there are so many random cuts that are so frustrating. One of them being at the beginning where a girl fell into a pool or something. (I think it's the FL but because of the editing you can barely see her face) That scene was so quick that you can't even tell what's happening.
Next, the awful misunderstandings. The ML basically had so self love and I find it really baffling that someone can actually be like that. Xuan Ji has shown time and time again that she had no trust in him, I mean she literally stabbed him but he still stayed by her side. There were so many easily solved misunderstanding, Si Feng could have told Xuan Ji his plan to pretend to be Mosha Star and that they could have worked together to solve it but no. I really dislike the trope of purposely being bad to protect someone, talk about your problems and communicate please. But I mean, with proper communications, 99% of the drama wouldn't be a thing.
Next up would be the repetitive scenes, you basically had to watch the ML can beat up, tortured and vomit blood for 40 episodes. He literally spat out blood when he was beaten from the back, which doesn't make sense whatsoever. It was boring ok, I cried in the beginning but then bursted out laughing when I saw it for the 15th time.
Annoying characters, Ling Long and Xiao Yin Hua
When Xuan Ji said she "likes" the 6th disciple Min Yan, who Ling Long also had a crush on she got mad at him somehow. Why? I don't know, maybe projecting her own insecurities? She also very stupidly went and fought Wu Tong herself when knowing she cannot defeat him. Xuan Ji who is the god of war is literally your sister, what are you doing???
Then Xiao Yin Hua, who doesn't get signals thrown at her. Liking someone and in her case Si Feng is fine. But it becomes a problem when purposely third wheeling yourself trying to break him and Xuan Ji apart. She knows very well that Si Feng loves Xuan Ji but still thinks she has a chance. Si Feng has never shown a liking to her and even after he rejected her, she still went for it and died in the end. Was it worth it?
Xuan Ji's selfishness also really bothered me. She didn't care that billions of people would have died because of her opening to bottle that contained Mosha Star to save Si Feng. He himself told her not to do it but she didn't listen. I know that didn't end up happening no one died but I still dislike her after this.
I still find drama more or less okay, it's definitely better than Ashes of Love I can tell you that but would I recommend it to someone? Probably not.

i am crying literally crying not over how amazing or tragic or whatever this drama is but because of the stupidity of the characters. in one word we can give this drama the tile a whole bunch of misunderstandings made on purpose. like shut the hell up just be direct and resolve the misunderstandings but no to drag the drama to 60 eps there was nothing but misunderstanding and trust issues!!!!. i hate the fact that the hero tried to prove his loyalty again and again and again but his "friends" and "lover" just doubted him again and again. i was in support of devils at last. the stupidity of other sects were not in my bear. no investigations just accuse the one who seems the most.. i am like in the 47 eps and crying over my wasted time. but will end this and give review again. and at last i dont even want the male lead to end up with the female lead!!!! NOT LIKE MY EXPECTATIONS ..NOT MY TASTE FANTASY DRAMA
I tried to start this drama after reading some comments about this drama ... but this drama is not like what I imagined so wow ...... far from my predictions ...This drama starts with a more interesting story and then gets more and more absurd (although at first I was a little amazed by those humans who have god-like abilities, but I still try to accept it and think of it as their cultivation style, even though it is true and should not be that far human capabilities should be)
I even recommended this drama on social media at first but as I continued watching it, I started to feel disappointed about it. too much plot hole in this drama.
The story in this drama is exaggerating in my opinion and cannot be logically accepted, even though it is a fantasy drama story but it has exceeded the limits of a fantasy drama in my opinion. humans can behave like gods, gods mingle with humans, as well as demons. as if there are no restrictions between these 3 realms. so that the story in this drama seems a bit chaotic and messy.there is no clarity of where this fantasy drama story will be taken ... humans can find out the origin of their reincarnation easily and it seems like it is something normal in their minds ... with bells they can communicate like now we are using cellphones ... lol ... totally absurd and exaggerating (for those who are still human) humans and gods have the same abilities ... there is no definite boundary between the three realms in this drama.honestly I am very disappointed with the story in this drama ...and once again " vomit blood and get a hurt is the best thing in this drama "especially the ML is very very weak, maybe He is the most weak male character I've see...lol...always get a hurt and vomit blood.
but I like the actors and actresses who play in this drama ... they have very good acting skills. besides that they are all very beautiful and handsome ... but unfortunately the story in this drama really doesn't attract me to be able to continue it anymore ...
Overall I can only give a 4/10 rating for this drama ... and of course I will not continue it anymore especially for rewatched it ..thanks.

NOT XIANXIA DRAMA...THIS IS MOXIA DRAMA... (finished it very disappointed)
at first I thought this is a very heavy fantasy xianxia drama, but after watching it to the end, it is not a xianxia drama but a drama "MOXIA" which focuses the story on mystical things, stealth mixed into the human realm (humans are friends with demons or other kind)This drama explains that the realm of demon is better and has a better character than the realm of the god.. This drama insults the realm of the god and distorts the facts about reality.
story development that is too wordy and boring ... this drama is closer to a kind of children's cartoon story ... and weightless ...
The chemistry between the two main players is also weak. the male lead character is not attractive at all ...
This is the most boring fantasy drama I've ever watched .. (1/10)

Extremely boring
I hate it when a lot of people mislead other fans to watch this kind of drama. Its super boring and the FL is weak until episode what? I watched until ep 27 and she still weak no progress and a pain in the butt for most of the characters how can you tolerate watching it for more episodes? You have so many time to kill huh? Do not waste peoples time and recommend this drama its so annoying it makes me think they are just trolls trying to advertise such a disaster drama. Btw I'm not finish watching this. But I really cannot resist myself anymore! ? Everytime I see Hao chen from start until now, I feel very annoying. I really wanna block him from my view ?? but ofcourse I can just skip. Very super annoying. Besides, I don't know why the sects are so helpless. They would focus more to destroy the kind one rather than the real bad. Which is super stewpid & annoying too! They would send a dozen just to deal with the kind one that are powerful one but at the same time weak. But they send just a few to the real bad one who are just as powerful. I don't know whether they even care or not about the najam lamp. They care more about someone they don't have certain confident more. Yeh stupid. But I still gonna watch this. Fantastic drama, but a torture to get through at times
The visual effects and costumes are gorgeous in this drama, and the fantasy elements do not disappoint! In particular, I appreciate that the story doesn't offer stereotypical images of gods and demons (as exclusive symbols of good and evil, respectively). In addition, I love that it explores a variety of current themes using mythological filters (racism, interracial relationships, gender issues, same-sex relationships, etc.)The cast in this drama is fabulous! First, kudos to actor Cheng Yi for portraying the overly self-sacrificing Si Feng with such finesse. He was such a captivating presence and so incredibly expressive, especially in the scenes that conveyed his character’s physical and spiritual suffering! Also, the assortment of villains in this drama is absolutely fantastic! Most of them have interesting layers and motivations, giving the main themes more dimension.
My only criticism is that the storyline tends to be repetitive, especially in the second half. Whoever wrote it must have been a sadist! That is, the romance is centered on continuously torturing and pounding on Sifeng (the male lead), whose commitment to the female lead verges on dangerously toxic. The relationship is fraught with misunderstandings and omissions, to the point it becomes almost unbearable to watch. A side effect, unfortunately, is that the female lead ends up being portrayed as naive, manipulable, and even unintelligent. At times, I found this aspect of the characters’ dynamic to be emotionally draining and vexing.
Still, despite these shortcomings, this drama IS a solid 10 out of 10 (for its great entertainment value), though I do want to mention that personally, I don’t think I could stand to put myself through it a second time.

Such a good drama!
Just finished watching this and what a ride of emotions it was. I love it when i find dramas that are long and so good. I had actually watched like 8 episodes a few months back and i dont know why i stopped watching it but what a mistake it was. This drama has so many episodes and i was afraid that it would get draggy half way through it but i really enjoyed all 59 episodes. There was not one episode where i felt bored or where i skipped scenes. Even tho there is a lot of angst there are also so many cute and happy moments. This is probably my favorite drama of this genre. The story, the acting and the ost were really good. I liked the leads a lot, Si feng and Xuan ji's love is so sad and beautiful at the same time. Amore & Malintesi....
Uno xianxia/wuxia che difetta per alcuni effetti speciali ma nel complesso è unico nel suo genere e davvero magistralmente reso grazie soprattutto alla performance recitativa di Cheg Yi. Finalmente un attore non monoespressivo ma che riesce a rendere espressivamente tutte le emozioni e le disperazioni che vive.Sì perché in questa storia Yu Sifeng, il ML, è davvero un martire d'amore, un giovane uomo puro, coraggioso, spesso disposto al sacrificio per il bene dell'umanità e irrimediabilmente innamorato, anche a proprio discapito. Un uomo che decide di rinunciare a tutto e sacrificare tutto.
Vi consiglio di guardare con attenzione i primi episodi perché alcune frasi spiegheranno e anticiperanno il finale.
La storia è avvincente, con delle soluzioni narrative e dei colpi di scena davvero geniali, e gli sceneggiatori sono stati davvero bravi a lasciare indizi ma mantenere il mistero fino alla fine del lavoro, negli ultimi cinque episodi verrà illustrata la storia alla cui base c'è un grosso malinteso che determina tutta la storia.
Non ci sono solo enormi malintesi tra i personaggi, il ML è un uomo perfetto e incorruttibile ma anche un pessimo comunicatore che decide di farsi carico di tutto senza coinvolgere nessuno e questo determinerà un grosso pasticcio nella parte centrale fino quasi alla fine del drama.Non è un drama perfetto ma rimane un po' sottovalutato rispetto ad altri xianxia che secondo me sono meno all'altezza per trama, interpretazione dei protagonisti e intensità.
Non c'è nulla di geniale o di nuovo davvero nel messaggio del drama, nel senso che l'amore come fattore teraputico, è qualcosa alla base di forse l'80% dei drama sia cinesi che coreani, eppure le modalità con cui hanno deciso di lanciare questo messaggio, mi riferisco all'idea di un personaggio "multidimensionale", complesso e sfaccettato, ai colpi di scena finali, agli ultimi combattimenti ed effetti speciali, hanno avuto un peso talmente rilevante da aver alzato la mia valutazione che inizialmente voleva essere 8 ma alla luce delle emozioni, delle idee genialmente spese, del messaggio e di quanto questo drama mi ha lasciato ho deciso di alzare perché vorrei premiare cast, regia e sceneggiatore per delle scelte inusuali, geniali che hanno reso questo lavoro diverso: più profondo, sentito e sperimentale, mai scontato e con un impatto scenico ed emotivo molto forte.
Quello che non ho gradito sono stati alcuni effetti scenici "economici" da due lire (sangue arancione in certe scene, uccelli peluche, catene di plastica, mani mozzate che erano quelle del manichino da abbigliamento, una scena pietosa...), tuttavia alcuni animali fatti al pc, quali draghi, volpi viola molto meglio rispetto ad eternal love.
I dialoghi spesso mancano di spessore e riflessività, quelli di ashes of love sono stati molto più profondi nonostante il team traduzione sia stato molto sbrigativo, approssimativo e superficiale , qui invece il team traduzione ha fatto un lavorone, la traduzione è puntuale, precisa, corretta, di senso compiuto per il 99,5% del lavoro (BRAVI).
Personaggi femminili fastidiosi, specialmente la sorella della protagonista e la belva spirituale del ML, salvo solo la volpe viola e la protagonista che ha fatto un percorso evolutivo e di crescita notevole nel corso dei 59 episodi.
L'attrice protagonista nonostante non sia generalmente il tipo estetico dei drama è riuscita a dare profondità e spessore al personaggio, sapendo calibrare l'espressività, il tono della voce, le espressioni e ha saputo interpretare il doppio ruolo in maniera esemplare. Nessuna penso sarebbe riuscita a dare quella grinta , quel tono, quella aura alla Dea della Guerra, una donna fortissima ma anche piena di rancore e risentimento per i torti subiti.
Il protagonista maschile è uno dei pesi maggiori della mia alta valutazione, CHENG YI è stato senz'altro il migliore attore per presenza scenica ed espressività, riesce a rendere qualsiasi tipo di emozione sul volto, e la sua voce è profonda ed eccezionale.
Alla coppia principale viene riservato moltissimo tempo nel corso di questo lavoro, contrariamente ad altri xianxia con valutazioni altissime ma che si vivono davvero pochissimo , in questo lavoro ogni episodio riserva più della metà del tempo alla nascita del rapporto tra i protagonisti. I due mi sono sembrati credibili e all'altezza, non mancheranno momenti di tenerezza ma anche di quasi passione sul finale del drama.
Il finale è davvero molto bello , scenografico e spensierato.
Carine anche le altre storie d'amore che vengono rappresentate che portano in scene dinamiche e tipologie di rapporti diversi: amore tossico, puro, romantico, non ricambiato. I personaggi tutti bravi e credibili.
Nel complesso tutti gli attori hanno fatto del loro meglio e a parte qualcuno, o la risata di Wu Tong, sono stati tutti abbastanza credibili e azzeccati nel ruolo che sono stati chiamati a interpretare.
Colonna sonora gradevole ma non indimenticabile (e qui davvero è stato un peccato).

A must watch
My feelings are absolutely hurt right now. I wanted more episodes. The series was 59 episode which normally is enough for me but by the last two episodes were so revealing and intense that I feel like I needed more. Don’t get me wrong the ending was sweet and perfect in every sense but after all of that, me wanting more simply mean that it was just that good.I would say for some you may get the Romeo and Juliet vibe with the sense of good and evil background however that vibe will most certainly not lead to the ending that Romeo and Juliet actually had. You will get some struggles and hardships but but the outcome is worth it. This series has so much depth and it is so darn heartfelt that you just cannot help but be sucked into it.
The male lead did not fail in any capacity in the series. His acting, his demeanor and his personality match with his appearance or perfect. He played his role well.
The female lead manage to pull up her role as well. The fact that she had to play two different personalities speaks volume about her abilities in terms of acting. She was able to shift from her sweet normal self to her strong and bold self like nobodies business. I really enjoyed her character because she had such a sense of goodness and innocence within her.
Why should you watch this? First of all, it is heartfelt. It is well written. It has so much depth to it. It tugs on so many emotions either love, loyalty, revenge, justice or hate. This series is more than just about the god of war it is really about how an individual often perceives things differently from other people and how one man’s opinion of what is right and wrong can change the world. To me, it was an eye-opener because it shows how some people do things based on their own thoughts without really knowing things and also how people tend to act based on what they think may or may not be without realizing that your actions play a part in what will actually happen. It is in every sense romantic and although there is not a lot of like romantic seems there are some but is more about love and unity and understanding which really encompasses everything. The ending was great as well. You will not be disappointed.
