They both start with the same basic premise: the girl uses a photo of a random guy who ends up being a fellow classmate at her school. The boy then finds out and gets upset (although in WGABP I wouldn't necessarily Kento's character got upset) and so the girl does errands for him. The rest of the story in Best Mistake isn't very similar to WGABP, however, they both begin with the same premise.
Both of these dramas revolve around a girl who lies about having a boyfriend. She takes a photo of a random boy and shows it to everyone, saying that he's her boyfriend. Unbeknownst to her, the boy in the picture goes to the same school as her and isn't the kind type.
I've not watched Best Mistake but having seen the trailer I can say that Be My Boyfriend is far superior - not only because CLC does one of the OST's for it (which is brilliant) but the cast is great and the 9 minute run time keeps you wanting more. In fact, that's it's negative too as I'd love it to be a full drama.
It's a guilty pleasure - I've rewatched the series each week waiting for the next episode. Lee Si Woo (Bingbing in Sisyphus) is the star of the show!

Both dramas are high school teen stories with love triangles and high school drama. While Failing in Love is a more coming of age story with a little more realism doing a great job in portraying the complexity of being a teenager. Best Mistake is a more fluffy, fun to watch and doesn't really have a deeper message but it is nice to binge-watch.
Not that these two shows are super similar but they take place in the same universe.
Although Light On Me first shows up in season 3 of Best Mistake, you need to have seen all the 2 prior seasons, of Best Mistake, to understand most season 3. Because of that, I recommend you start with Best Mistake season 1.
Also both
Takes place in a school
Are about young people finding their identities/themselves
