Relatable story with an interesting filming, at times feels more slow-paced than it should

When it comes to first impressions, this doesn't seem to be a typical K-drama. The main thing that stood out to me, given this was my introduction to the drama, was the very interesting and somewhat different style of the director. The filming and editing seems very simplistic, minimal, with no special effects or elaborate scene transitions, which helps set the mood and adds even more to the realistic plot-line . The story that begins to unfold between the main characters seems quite relatable and sweet, which gets you invested in their blossoming romance until you find yourself rooting for them even from their first and, somewhat awkward, encounter. The hinders of this potential relationship are visible from the very beginning and that helps engage the interest of the viewer concerning its progression. That being said, the episode somehow felt quite long and that is, I feel like, one of the downsides of choosing the more minimal and "realistic" directing approach. Real life, at times, can be a bit boring and this episode could not fully be an exception. The exciting aspect of the episode was the dynamic of the main characters, but I would like to see some more aspects of the next episodes become just as interesting and engaging. The interesting and relatable story that has only just started and the quite original and refreshing filming helps overcome the few fall-throughs and make this a good overall episode and a solid start to what feels like is going to be a good K-drama.

Four Stars

I live stream this through mbc which has two episodes that considered to be episode one on Netflix. The first episode didn't disappoint me, I actually have high expectations to this because it's from Ahn Pan Seok and it's because I anticipate this for Han Ji Min. I was caught off guard that the pairing of Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In actually looks good too & they seem perfectly fits with their roles and for the potential romance.

The episode starts off with Jung In with her friend who is about to go to her friend's apartment then cuts to the next day where Ji Ho is playing basketball with his colleagues then he meets Gi Seok who is a senior in his college as well as his friend's senior in the company. Jung In who stayed the night with her friend's apartment sees the time and in a rush went to a pharmacy to buy a medicine for her hangover; there she meets Ji Ho, the pharmacist. Both already have their first impression of each other but one of them already sparks curiosity. As we go to the final act of episode one, we get to know that Jung In has a long time boyfriend while Ji Ho is a single dad who has a young son.
