TharnType: A série (2019)

SPECIAL SIMILARITY :- BOTH DRAMAS ARE HARD TO FORGET.

The dynamic between the main couple is very similar, with two friends falling out over learning one is gay, leading to a rivalry. There is a lot of similar conflict in both, but the couples end up happy

Tharntype is the prequel of 7 Years Of Love so it's highly recommend to watch that first. Otherwise, you may not know the plot and how Tharn & Type ended up together. Also their actions might seem weird if you watch the second season first

There is lot of cold war before. But then true LOVE pops up , however the only difference is ex boyfriend coming back.
So it also match with love by chance .

Just like Tharntype, Addicted started with 2 Alpha males who are tall and good looking. Both leads on screen chemistry are out of this world. Contains violence, offensive words, and one of the best plot lines in BL history. For mature audience only.

Although these 2 series are pretty different in tone and premise, their respective main characters (Preuk and Type) are very similar to each other. And they both have a satisfying end in which they are able to expose the background manipulator of their respective storylines.

Amazing storyline, dramatic scenes and great chemistry among characters . Couple overcoming homophobia around them and striving together.

Dont Say No seems to be based on the side couple from TharnType... Type Thiwat is a handsome freshman with a passion for football and spicy food. Although he’s a friendly boy, he hates gay people because, in his childhood, he was molested by a man. His life turns upside down when the new academic year of college brings along a charismatic roommate, Tharn Kirigun. Tharn is a gorgeous, compassionate music major, who is also openly gay. When Type learns this, he is determined to make Tharn leave the dorm, as he won't live with a gay person. Tharn is equally determined not to give into Type's homophobic tantrums. With a gay guy and a homophobic guy that have to share a small space together for the rest of the year — what can possibly be the outcome of their story? Hatred? Or maybe love?

In both BL series of of the leads identifies as gay from the start (Tharn/Chonlatee) while the other has a hard time understanding his same-sex attraction and insists he's straight in the beginning (Tonhon/Type) and that's part of the drama in the series. Also in both, one of lead's father is not accepting of their relationship.

Both Thai queer romances feature a budding romance between 2 newfound college roommates - one of which expresses a lot of homophobia and animosity towards the other in the beginning and seeks to switch rooms. Their relationship consists of a lot of back-and-forwards and playing coy with each other. The homophobic lead's family is also relevant in both of these franchises. And jealousy plays an integral role in the leads' relationship development.

One lead is from humble rural origins. One lead likes to play music. There's a prominent plot point of one taking care of the other. One of the leads also apparently lacks the ability to read a room (which plays more into TharnType 2 as a source of conflict, but still very reminiscent of each other).

They differ in that homophobia in Yes or No is largely restrained to microaggressions, while TharnType is much more aggressive. Tharntype also has more triggery and problematic content, while Yes or No tends to focus more on cute moments.

This is the continuation of the Parent story TharnType which is the most popular bl drama I have seen so far and one of my favorites.

The main couple in TharnType and Stay By My Side starts out as enemies then turns to lovers. Initially, one would try to drive out the new roommate but was unsuccessful because the other would retaliate by other means. Their dorm mates would also be involved in their feud.

They don't really have the same vibe, but its like enemies to lovers. Also the fact that one is homophobic. Okay tharntype has a clearer and better storyline, but both are really good and worth watching in my opinion.

Reminders has the characters that are related to love by chance and it’s the prequel to love by chance.
