Such a funny yet inspiring movie
you must watch this if you looking for comedy.I love this movie. It simple, funny, have subtle romanticism (like other Japanese movies) and
fresh with not so many overused plot.
All character well develop. And it teach you everyone have a skill that may not seem important but who know will save you in whatever tricky situation.
I was surprised by the casting of this movie I was like "eh, that is shota matsuda but he is not the main lead".
And they featured a lot of cameos of the famous actors.

Death! Worth the watch!
Let me first apologize in advance for my grammar. Thank you.Story.
The storyline is so crazy. It is hard to explain, so watch it instead. The plot twists are amazing. I especially love the ending. Please watch till the end (including the credits).
Acting/ Cast.
Suzu Hirose is one of my favorite actresses. She did an amazing job. She came out of her comfort zone in acting this role. It's so different from Chihaya from Chihayafuru live actions.
Ryo Yoshizawa's role is interesting. He's so handsome.
Takeru Satoh is in this movie! Sadly, he's just an extra.
Music.
I was not aware that Suzu Hirose can sing. I enjoyed listening to the music. I also sang along, "DEATH!"
Rewatch value.
It depends on the person.
For me, rewatching value is 5. I would rather watch some scenes than rewatch the whole movie.
It's worth the watch!
(It is so obvious that I do not know how to write a review.)

Chekov's Gun Galore
We're all familiar with that apoplectic feeling when you finish a movie and think of the possible loopholes and plot faults. This movie doesn't only recognise Chekov's gun, it thrusts it right into your temple saying, "What about it, you want to die once?"A mix of rebellion, self-expression, discovery; this movie has it all (and numerous cameos). Watching this was really delightful. With the beautiful Nanase and her indifferent father, president of a pharmaceutical company, they both navigate through his "death". Whilst battling the odds to save him, subordinate "Ghost" Taku who has literally everyone doesn't realise is there, follows Nanase in her journey in the present and reconciliation with her past. She comes to realise that the cold, analytical exterior of her father is not all as it seems and soon starts to realise her place in her family and future. This movie packs more twists than a pretzel can accommodate (even at its epic ending), so if anything it tastes much better than a freshly baked pretzel any day.
From wishing death and holding masses in her death metal band to orchestrating possibly her largest display of affection for her father ever, Nanase's character development is not only refreshing, it's down-to-earth. Yet it's so felicitous you'll relate to this late bloomer of a rebel and come to love her and her interactions with her aides.
You'll also perhaps memorise the periodic table in Japanese while chanting "Death! Death!"...so there's truly much to learn and absorb from this movie. Rewatch value is definitely high. One of the better new releases of this year, do let me know what you think!

A really funny comedy starring Hirose Suzu & Yoshizawa Ryo who didn't get their happy ending in Natsuzora - but they do here!Suzu plays Nanase, the daughter of the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, a genius death metal band leader, and Ryo plays Taku, her father's assistant, a guy with no presence whom everyone overlooks. When the CEO is targeted and set out to die in two days, these two have to band up together to save the day. Hilarity ensues, of course.
Gosh, I loved them two's hijinks! I honestly love it when Ryo plays nerds, he's always absolutely fantastic, and this part was no different. His "Ghost" - as everyone called him for his tendency to just fade into the background - is smart but very nerdy and timid while the heroine is also smart but very bulldozer like and rash and brash. It's water on my mill, honestly!
Also, the most hilarious plot point? When the heroine's father, the "dead" CEO, is revived... by TAKU's kiss, I kid you not! Why? Because they needed to kick start him with a shock and Taku was famous for his static electricity discharges that were so strong that when Taku and Nanase wanted to touch - or kiss - one of them had to stand with one bare foot on the ground to, well, ground them. This was so funny! Honestly, Ryo and his man-kissing. Is he actually aiming for some record?
Also, there are some really funny cameos, like by Satoh Takeru or Shison Jun or Matsuda Shota!

Good Enough
Japanese Movie " Not Quite Daed Yet " is a comedy- action drama with fantasy element and a father- daughter relationship at its core. The movie has a messy pace, with things happening out of nowhere and their progress being all over the place. The twists and the main idea behind the story weren't explained either.
On the other hand, the film is entertaining and the story original, thought predictable. The relationship between the father and the daughter could have been handled in a better way.
The performances, finally, were all great by all the actors and the actresses of the cast.
So, overall, six out of ten.
