I've gotten into lots of long running variety shows but this is the first that that I didn't get annoyed of or bored of after a period of time.
Once they changed to the school concept, the show was only going up from there. (Although I do enjoy the old eps as a fan of the show).
Every single person in this cast is CRUCIAL to what knowing bros is. At first I didn't like a good number of the members, but then I realized they are all extremely funny in different ways and they all make jokes off of each other which is why having the seven of them is so important.
This the ONLY show I have seen that can make the show extremely entertaining even when the guests they have are boring. They also have no limits on this show which makes it much more fun to watch. The jokes they make are jokes that definitely would not fly on other shows, and their use of informal language also makes the show much more fun for both the viewers and for the people on the show (as they've said themselves).
The games they play with guests are always extremely entertaining and fun as well.
The occasional skits are always great too. Some of the members are extremely good at ad-libbing and it makes the skits extremely fun to watch.
Even when you don't know who the guests are, the cast does a great job at promoting them and making the episode funny. (I've learned so much through this show it's insane).
The producers are also very funny and enjoy filming the show with the cast, which once again makes the show more entertaining.
The editing team also does an amazing job with editing in really weird animations for certain things that happen in the show.
Overall, the combination of the concept, the cast, and the staff, is genuinely amazing and results in episodes that are extremely memorable and still funny when watching them over and over again.

Your idol can be funny too.
I'm a person who doesn't like shows, especially long ones, but this is just the exception. The show includes both reality and script (although Jang-hoon said there is no script). Every Saturday, guests come to visit the «Bros school», which include idols, actors, singers, athletes, TV presenters, comedians and a large number of unlisted activities. Some of the main cast has changed since the show started, but the show is still funny.
What am I missing from the old episodes of the show? Smart games. It was interesting for me to hear about the secret stories of the guests and to play game with them about countries or capitals. I hope that they can return it in the future.
At that time, the composition of the show's participants was almost unknown to me as a foreign viewer. I knew some of the members by appearance and Heechul as a singer. But they all have their own character and atmosphere. I don't know how in life, but in the show they can joke with each other as if they have known each other all their lives. I love it.
This show is worth watching for people who understand the mentality and humor of Koreans. And you can also learn kdramas and music for this show.
This is a show where the stars have to work hard and win the trust of the audience in order to get high ratings.
If you want your favorite celebrity to appear there, then support this show.
Have a nice viewing :)

Not as good as it was
back in 2016 the show was on at like 11pm - this is when the best episodes came out, I still watch those reruns. The show was not getting good ratings at first and JTBC moved it to a later timeslot, which made the members a bit more desperate to keep the show alive, and it allowed them to talk more shit to the guests which became like the identity of the show for about a year.
as it got popular, JTBC moved it back to around 9pm in 2017 or so. They seemed to lose their identity for a while, trying to keep their edge while attracting a larger audience but then the last PD who founded the show, Choi Chang Soo left in 2018, thats when their focus really changed, I mean they are literally making a kids song these days. Now its just a regular variety show - the only distinguishing factor is informal speech
I still watch everything with Heechul & LSG but KB has lost its magic for a while. If I only considered episodes 1-130, this show would get a clean 10/10.

To be honest, I started watching the show because of Kim Heechul's funny clips and compilations from this show on youtube. At first, I felt the entire show revolved around him and Lee Soo Geun, even if he wasn't the main MC. He added the humor which isn't normally seen in other variety shows and he was brilliant at that. When the show had a later time slot, they were able to make more daring jokes and talk about more sensitive topics which was fascinating (they still do but there's way less sexual innuendos and jokes now). Topics include smoking, gambling, divorce and debt which you don't regularly see in regular variety shows, which is probably why this show got really popular.
Members tease each other and guests every episode about controversial topics but not to the point when they get really uncomfortable. This is how I got to know each member of the cast and guests better over time. After watching 5-10 episodes, I understood everyone's character and some of their background history which was really nice. By this point, I felt that each member really plays a big part in the show and they all fit together, kicking out the stereotype that Heechul and Lee Soo Geun carried this show alone.
I really enjoy the "Ask us Anything" segments of the episodes because it's a unique idea which is comical and kinda educational(?) at the same time. It's really interesting to get to know the guests in these segments but one thing is, the more guests in the episode, the less questions and air time each person gets which is sometimes frustrating especially with big boy and girl groups.
The other big segment is when the guests battle against the members. This part really makes or breaks the episode for me. Most of the time the games are funny and great to watch but sometimes it's boring so I stop watching. Also, the boys cheat most of the time to get the advantage which sometimes gets annoying to watch because it gets too repetitive.
Overall, this is a really great show to watch with a fantastic cast (regardless of what people say about Ho dong and other members). The range of guests is also really cool, it's not just kpop artists who come but actors and comedians. If you are going to watch it, I highly suggest starting from episode 16-18 since the first concept is a completely different show to what it is now. Also, I think the best episodes are the earlier ones (20s to 50s) before they got 5% ratings and got really popular because the members tried really hard during those times and some of the jokes were still original.

Firstly, the strength of this show comes from two people in the cast. Kim Heechul and Lee Soogeum. That is it. Everyone else is relatively a non-factor since the dynamic between all individuals has been decided and the structure of how to treat guests or situations are relatively the same. I am not saying that if Kang Ho Dong was replaced by Yoo Jae Suk it would not make a difference because that would surely changed the entire dynamic of the show. However, the comedy and gags and pace of the show is determined by Kim Heechul interactions with guests and Lee Soogeum's comedic timing and ability. Honestly, if you told me they would replace half the members except these two than new gags would come up and new personalities and relationships would be highlighted.
Secondly, this show is build around Kang Ho Dong's personality which is loud, abrasive and often times insensitive. There are many jokes that are said that on any other show would be contraband such as divorce, gambling, alcoholism. This is refreshing in a sense that it makes everyone more human. However, it also means that the show must play on the fact that its the hosts of the "school" versus the guests that come. This can get boring because picking on female idols over and over for the same thing loses its charm after a while. And disregarding guests becomes disrespectful at times. There are moments where the hosts throw away this system and its image, however, that makes the show lose its meaning if done too frequently.
Thirdly, I will say it again, but Kim Heechul is the sole reason this show is where it is. Because giving Heechul an abrasive platform to make whatever jokes he wanted makes this show fresh. Seeing him talk down to SNSD or tell EXO and Shinee and Infinite to get lost are novel. Similarly, flirting with guests is also novel. However, there is a limit to certain things and certain things get repetitive. Making jokes about smoking is funny, but than it becomes serious after a while when you consider he could do it every episode. It would lose meaning. The main thing saving this show is Heechul's vast connections and his ability to talk and play off of them.
Fourthly, most of this show is boring. This is partly due to the hosts not treating the guests well and sometimes blatantly ignoring them. But there is also the fact that the guests are asked to introduce themselves but can't say anything that is "real." I will be honest, who cares about a spot on Jonghyun's body. I don't even care if its Seolhyun's body. Or how Momo feels about this or that. It's just not that interesting. The only interesting parts are when Heechul or someone else is able to relate and make it more interesting. The most boring parts, however, are the skits or other aspects of the show because to be honest they are not funny and do not play onto the strengths of the show which are the abrasive relationships between members and guests.
Overall, the best moments are when relationships are teased and jokes are made. However, this can get boring very quickly. Is it worth watching entire episodes again? Not really. Is it worth rewatching certain clips? Sure, just go to Youtube and you'll find compilations and categorization. Having people show off their talents is what makes things like this memorable. For example, can anyone tell me what Jonghyun and Irene did when they came? How about Davichi? No idea. Cause it is not memorable.
