Firts this movie will not be for everyones like. I feel the movie runs away from the point. It is about a man, that change is face and tries, to search for his sister.Taht begans it show us what happen in past,that make him hate is father. But then it leaves us with a lot of questions: as what is evil, what is a monstre, why he need to became one?, why is sister is the key?.But the movie didnt answer them, in fact makes a mess of what ievil, trauma, and the most important give us execuses to belive he need to became one because it is part of is famaly. But the fact is evil is not just hurt othres is more deep, and i think that message wansts pass in the rigth away, we could have been more violence, show us how this world is confuse and prove people taht not everything as one colour, and that our values and morals are change by the ones aroung us. It is a movie that reall think it was a waste of time.
Evil and the Mask tried to tell a story, but failed to focus on that task. Actually, I only got half of it. The part where the hero was becoming the evil, the origin of it all, and his quest to save his first love (?). The rest, were a mess. His actual evil personality never really resurfaced, as most of the other characters were the epitomy of the drak side, while the main character looked rather than the victim of a poor up bringing, who was actually, trying to do the noble thing and save the girl... So, the story was a mess and kind of boring. The performances, however, were really good. So four out of ten.
