Another Masterpiece
Okay, let's get this straight. When you say the series, long, numerous revelations, more complete, numerous villains and many die. And usually, series has to be like 10+ episodes to be called series consisting of 10+ hours. But this series proves, "That's not the time, that's the substance."
First, I do not consider watching this because it's not a good trailer. You will not be interested in a trailer anymore. Well, usually the trailer is the base if you watch the show, or maybe if you want to see the acting of the actors. But this series is an exception. Fantabulous(Fantastic and fabulous!)
Thai producers of series like this always tease me. Why ?! Why always produce a simple trailer for a spectacular show ?! It's a trap my dear, 'do not trick the thai series just to simplify the trailer, your type you'll get bored. So much goodness!
From actors, to the cinematography, settings, to travel to various Thai temples, together with mixed fun, sadness, crying and love you do not know. This series made it possible to bring in my eyes what society does not see. The deeper perspective on how gay couples or other same-sex couples really struggle, how they feel, how they love, how they can be loved, and how they can succeed in life. So damn good!

Another masterpiece. Hays, very well done. 'Not satisfied with the "simple" trailer, it's too smart in the plot itself. : D

I decided to watch this because of the good reviews that I've seen and a lot actually recommended it to me. During the first two episodes, I was just pushing myself to finish it but I am slowly losing interest because it felt like for a 4 ep series, it progresses slowly which is somehow good just that it felt like there's something better that can be done. I liked that the actors were actually manly in nature, they didn't seem that soft in appearance which is good imo.

Before I decided to watch this series, I accidentally saw a comment on how I should stop watching it at around 1:02 to have a peaceful sleep but I wanted to know wha t will happen in the ending and tbh I somehow wished that I didn't finish it and just stop while they were taking pictures just right before Porsche dropped all the unexpected bombs. I can't really say that it was a tragic ending because that was so sudden. The first thing that I thought is why no one tried to bring him to the hospital, I know that what we saw was just a flashback or Porsche reminiscing all their moments together. I just hoped that they built up that part more by making us feel more of the characters' sadness.

Overall, this was a good series and I recommend it for others to watch.

Pros: Really good acting! The two guys have really put the story to works, and becoming into a powerful piece. The whole series is really worth the watch.

Cons: The story. It pretty much tries to be melodramatic in each parts but most of the time it fails, it forces you so much to feel sympathy instead of feeling it by yourself. I must also protest that Thai BL's should never touch a serious note, for they do not achieve it that much; Thai BL's are better at doing romance and comedy rather than attempting a Western style of BL drama. Like example *minor spoiler (the end) the last part was just there, it was just a random thing that popped-up without even starting with a conflict. The Exposition is decent enough, the Rising Action is pretty good, the Conflicts (are many) is fine because some were just fake and just burnt-out by the end, the Ending was ehh... trying too hard to be sad with eloquent words. SO yes, it was a decently made but a wonderfully acted series that falls short by the end and gone strong at the beginning. The first part was a really good foundation! Some people may say that they're wailing by the end but for me it just an ugh part.

FINAL WORDS:
If you want a society based and a serious BL film, go check the Western's, they do it better.

mentre il mondo faceva i primi passi nel mondo dei BL ecco che veniva creata questa serie che ti distrugge direttamente l’anima. il rewatch value è così basso perché so, che anche se questa serie ha lasciato in me qualcosa che solo Not Me aveva lasciato, io non la potrò rivedere mai più. è una storia d’amore, ma anche di tanto altro: di accettazione, di perdono, di comprensione. ma anche di voglia di cambiamento. viste le nuove leggi tailandesi sulla legalizzazione dei matrimoni gay mi piace pensare che Porsche sia nell’allevamento di elefanti contento, che anche la sua ricerca, quando ancora sembrava tutto immobile abbia fatto qualche cosa. e anche se il finale non è quello che vorremmo, perché nessuno vorrebbe vedere scomparire la persona che ama più al mondo il giorno in cui si dovrebbe essere più felici anche questa può essere la vita. questa serie ti spezza l’anima e se ne prende un pezzo, lasciandoti sia con qualcosa in meno, ma anche, forse, con qualcosa in più. onestamente non so se consiglierei di guardala, perché lo fai e ti ritrovi quando la finisci a scrivere una recensioni fra le lacrime mentre la tua coinquilina di chiama per cenare dicendoti che una serie non dovrebbe spezzarti così tanto. oppure, devo consigliarvela, perché è per quel pezzo che ti regala che merita di essere vista.

I just want to say that I'm both shocked and heartbroken! I’ve been watching Thai BL dramas for the past few weeks, ever since I happened to run into Waterboyy The Series on YouTube and I suppose I became obsessed with the genre!
And every single BL series that I had seen so far made me feel hopeful about love between two men. Until I watched Grey Rainbow; I wish I hadn’t seen it, to be honest. I’m so sorry that I didn’t have any clues and as a result I was just perplexed when I saw the wedding scene where Nuer just drops and dies! I mean, a young guy like him! And with no warnings!
Anyway, I guess that’s life! If I learned anything at all, is that your time on Earth is precious and you should really enjoy life to the fullest… because you never know when the love of your life can drop dead, literally.
I suppose, if you think about it, the name Gray Rainbow is kind of ominous.
Frankly, I don’t know if I will keep watching BL dramas after watching this one. I might try to numb my pain by watching some more, though. Love is love, and life is a gift, so we should take neither for granted.

Grey Rainbow so dynamic and original. Every bit of this movie was thoroughly thought out so that each piece is essential to understanding the movie as a whole. The music flowed beautifully and it was perfect for each and every scene. The acting was amazing and very believable. It wasn't choppy nor cheesy, it flowed smoothly. The story itself was not predictable or cliche what-so-ever. I tend to not like re-watching movies but I definitely will. I will say to prepare tissues because it will be a long ride but it is totally worth it. All in all this movie was remarkable!!

Unexpectedly poignant. A critical look at how bigotry can result in undeserved feelings of shame and guilt. An amazing story that has none of the camp I've seen in other BLs. I wouldn't even call this one a BL, but a realistic portrayal of a homosexual relationship that attempts to defy the standard. One of the most thoughtful and progressive series I've ever watched. The acting was also superb. The characters had depth and stories of their own that rounded out the series wonderfully. The use of death and betrayal was intelligent and naturally pushed the plot further. Every moment was interesting and necessary, from the shots of the landscapes to the descriptions of the history of Changmai. A wonderfully told story of perseverance, defiance, and, ultimately acceptance. 10/10.

Prendre le temps... à la ferme des éléphants

Petite production sympathique

Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'épisodes sur cette série mais ceux-ci durent le temps d'un film ce qui nous permets un bon développement des personnages ainsi que de l'intrigue. J'ai trouvé que les acteurs jouaient très bien, il y a beaucoup de moments très mignons et très émouvants.

Les thèmes abordés sont constants aux autres BL mais on ne se lasse pas une seconde car il y toujours des situations un peu différentes. La scène de l'agression (je n'en dit pas plus pour ne pas spoiler) m'a particulièrement choqué, mais pas dans le mauvais sens car cette scène rapide mais crue dans sa réalisation dénote dans le paysage de la série et je pense que c'était la volonté du réalisateur pour mettre en relief, que la personne qui regarde s'arrête en mode : "Mais QUOI !". De cette manière il attire et retient l'attention pour pointer du doigt le fait que c'est un traumatisme énorme.

Le thème principal de la série, c'est le temps. Celui qui passe, celui qu'on a avec ceux qu'on aime, qui nous fait grandir, mûrir et vieillir mais aussi et surtout, celui qu'on voudrait pouvoir arrêter pour déguster chaque petit moments, chaque petite seconde. Dans la série le personnage principal / narrateur montre son attachement au temps et le pouvoir qu'il aurait aimé avoir sur le temps

j'aborde également des points négatifs sur cette série car, malheureusement (ou heureusement) aucune production n'est parfaite. Je dirai qu'à mon sens le "méchant" de la ferme aux éléphants n'a pas vraiment de relief, il est méchant parce que c'est comme ça, c'est un sale gosse qui est vite expédié, je pense que le personnage aurait pu être un peu plus approfondi pour être davantage crédible.

Pour finit, et bien, la fin ; alors je ne suis pas du tout contre ce genre de fin (de temps en temps) mais ce que je lui reproche, c'est que rien, pas un détails au cours des épisodes, pas un moment concernant le personnage à qui cela arrive, ne prédestine à ce final et donc je trouve que ça tombe à plat, elle ne m'apparait pas travaillée, comme si le scénariste (qui est aussi le réalisateur) se disait qu'il ne voulait pas une Total Happy Ending mais n'avait pas réellement d'idée, alors POUF !, il nous sort ça de son chapeau. je reste pas très convaincu.e et sur ma "fin" (oui, je sais c'est "faim", mais j'aime les jeux de mots).

En définitive, malgré cette fin un peu bâclée à mon goût, j'ai aimé cette série (et pourtant j'ai l'habitude de rejeter en bloc les productions avec une fin qui ne me plait pas), je vous conseille donc de prendre le "temps" de voir cette production.

Grey Rainbow is indeed one of the best BL series out there. The storyline is good. The plot is perfect. Actors are equally handsome and acting is just superb. Trully, this series is an eye opener and I learned a lot from it.

The ending is heartbreaking. Like I literally got depressed after watching. I do not care is the ending is subject for individual interpretation - but you can't just make us fall in love and break our hearts at the end. A good and sensible BL series is hard to find; and although this series depicts reality, rubbing it is just too much for me.

Anyways this is a good series, watch it if you dare but I will never watch it again.
