WOW! That was all I was thinking for the last few episodes with my mouth hanging open. I feel like every few months I stumble upon an awesome Japanese mystery/thriller that reminds me why i love this genre so much!Story: Refreshing new twist to an old plot line-a female villain?! Its usually a crazy male who is playing cat-and-mouse with the police and takes an interest in the lead during the investigation. In Siren, its completely reversed-its BECAUSE of the interest the villain (Kara Tachibana) takes in Yuki that the cat-and-mouse game begins. And boy what a game it is! But don't take anything at face-value because the ending will leave you scratching your head and surprised at where all of the twists lead you!
Acting/Cast: Perfection! Let's be honest, without a good charismatic villain manipulating everything behind the scenes series in this genre would not be worth the watch. And Nanao as Kara Tachibana delivers crazy flawlessly (so much its scary!) I can't see any other actress pulling this role off as well as she did. As a matter of fact, there are other times and in flashbacks (which I won't speak of so as not to reveal any spoilers) when she is portrayed by another actress, but it falls short in comparison. And Matsuzaka Tori as Satomi was the perfect lead to play off of. Watching the two fight over Yuki for 9 episodes was a real chess match!
Music: Don't look for an OST that you can sing along to, but the instrumental build up to some of the more shocking moments were well-placed, and the comedic moments were cute and well timed.
Rewatch Value: A must. Especially the last few episodes when everything comes together and is being explained. I like to think of myself as a somewhat smart person, but I had to go back more than once to make sure I was following along without getting confused. Because the 'big reveal' at the end needs time to sink in and understand....And I'm still not quite sure I've got it all right!!
Overall: Highly recommended to ANYONE! Its got the romance, thriller, mystery, action and so much more.

- The story is interesting with a female villain who is a psycho killer seeking perfection as well as her true-self. I think the first episodes were a bit slow, you would find it boring at first, but Satomi is a charismatic character, you will love him definitely. The second half was extremely good, I expected there would be some twists and even prepared for it but when the story came to the turing point, i couldn't do nothing but WOW (completely surprised).
- Acting/cast: As i said, i watched this drama because of Kimura Fumino (litterally got my eye on her after watching Zeni no Senso). But i was disapointed, her casting terrible. However, Matsuzaka Tori (as Satomi the mc) and Nanao (as the main villian) were wonderfully good. Especially Nanao, Her expression was too good that made me amazed.
-Music: Nothing much to say. It was fine
Overall: Despite having some flaws, but i really enjoyed this drama. If you are looking for some soft romance, thriller, mystery, or some unpredictable plot twists.. I highly recommend this!
P/s: If you are looking for a serious detective stuff. This is not for you.

Kara and Satomi fighting over Yuki for nine episodes
This drama is a mess but it's an entertaining mess.Story
Overall, the story is good.
Who is Kara and why is she obsessed with Yuki?
It's explained in a few plot twists at the end. I predicted them and I think anyone who watches a lot of crime dramas can see what they are.
The ending is wacky. I'm not disappointed but it could have been better.
This drama has a great (not love) triangle , Kara is obsessed with Yuki, Satomi is obsessed with Kara and wants to prove she is involved in a crime and Yuki thinks Satomi is cheating on her with Kara.
Yuki was annoying and kinda dumb, she gets better later but her character wasn't really fleshed out. She is Kara's obsession and Satomi's girlfriend, other than that there's not much importance.
She trusts Kara who she met a few days ago over Satomi who she knows for years.
She goes to the villa in the woods with Kara and doesn't tell anyone.
She is okay, meh character.
Side characters are also dumb and annoying. Sometimes so dumb I want to slap the screen. They don't investigate anything properly and they are fast to point fingers at Satomi.
Satomi is cool. He is smart and he does everything to protect Yuki.
He was the one who realized Kara was fishy and started to investigate her.
Kara is cool and smart. She is also crazy. She keeps murdering people but nobody seems to notice (except Satomi).
She is always close when a murder happens but the police can't connect the dots.
What made this drama awesome were Satomi and Kara. He keeps chasing her, she keeps running away.
It was fun watching them. Their dynamic and conversations were what made me watch this drama to the end.
For them this drama gets 10/10.
For the rest 7/10.
Would I recommend this drama?
I don't know.
It's a bit frustrating in the beginning, ep 1-5, it gets good and crazy from ep 6 and then ep 9 is completely insane (insane in a way leave the logic out of the door).
