Moon River is a Chinese spinoff. The underlying story is similar to all the other adaptations/remakes of Hana Yori Dango-- countryside girl ends up attending a private academy where a group of friends (kind of F3) rule student life. Rich boy falls for the poor girl, however, the plot differs. Unlike the other adaptations, this lead male undergoes character development. In a way, the story is less superficial because the crux of the show is not only about overcoming the lead male's mother/parents objection and vying against other rival girls.

It's similar in terms of
- rich male m/c and poor female m/c
-male m/c falls in love first
-school setting

Both dramas have similar stories about Flower boys and a poor girl. I think "Moon river" is better than BOF.

Both girls practice martial arts and they are very strong; however, The Whirlwind Girl seems to be a bit more serious than Moon River.

Although moon river doesn't have gender bender, the main lead girl is a tom boy and very innocent but is really good in martial arts. (love that fact). Oh and there is a love triangle which gives a very similar feeling to you're beautiful. Moon river is a taiwanese drama which got me hooked up after a long time (while taking a break from my usual korean dramas). Worth trying.

Both have tough martial artist girls as the main lead. Both are in a school setting with a bit of romance too.

Both are about girls who are a bit out of place in their new environments and just happen to befriend and fall in love with rich and powerful people. Moon River takes place in a university, while Boss & Me is at a workplace.
Both are romantic comedies...but have drama in various episodes.

Although they're completely different, the part (in Moon River) about the election of the school's spokeperson, reminded me of City Hall: both dramas' female lead wasn't interested in politics, but was convinced to participate in the election.

They are almost the same with the way the love triangle goes. In When Love Walked In There are three main dudes and 2 of them like the same girl. The one the girl is going to be with has a friend that likes him and she is a sister to the other guy that likes the female lead. In moon river it is sort of like that but the girl who is female lead has 2 guys who like her and out of the two guys the third one is the one the other girl likes. She likes the male lead that would not be with the main female at thee end of the day. Kind of confusing but if you watch you will understand.
