A WHOLESOME SLICE OF LIFE DRAMA - ignore the title and trailer

Ignore the title and trailer. It's a solid 10 Slice of Life drama with bomb chemistry, and a healthy relationship where mains communicate their issues openly and maturely, a character's trauma-related PTSD are actually part of the plot and not taken lightly (there is no magic cure, he is still in therapy until very end). The fight and sex scenes are actually decent and "believable" because the MC/Min is a supposed to be stuntman/bouncer who is trained to fight, and not some college boy who is suddenly an expert in martial arts when surrounded by thugs. I know everyone says ML (Q) is basically a damsel in distress, but he is a civilian who is caught in the crossfire between his "Righteous Hero-Cop" dad and the criminals he is pursuing. The guy isn't trained to fight, he has severe PTSD from watching his mom get killed in front of him and he keeps getting kidnapped and hurt by his dad's enemies. U can't really blame the guy for not really being excited about it.

Also, most viewers here underestimate how much your "fight and flight" reflex can be conditioned in case of frequent threats. For eg, if you are "fight" person, your first instinct will always be run towards the threat instead of away, because your mind honestly believes that u can fight it, whether u have the body to back it up or not. So, Q finding himself in situations where he gets in trouble because doesn't have the physic to back up his "fight" instinct (i.e confronting criminals, or running towards the gunfire, even if he gets panic attacks at the sound) didn't seem as weird or strange to me.

That said, all the introduced plot-arcs actually do get completed (some take until the end of show, and there is a time-skip in between); no character, INCLUDING minor characters, is wasted; no unnecessary drama between main leads, or with the dad. ALL communications happen openly and on-screen. The dialogue is at times cringe-worthy, but u can always stare at Ohm (whoever was in charge of his styling deserves an Oscar and a Nobel prize, because MY GAWD!!) and ofcourse, the OST. I'm sure even the people who hated the drama love the OST, so I won't waste my breath on it.

Signal The japanese version

So I knew about this drama or about the Korean version when it's first released and I think there was a huge fuss about it at that time , I didn't watch it yet but I guess It will be on my list to watch , I really liked the Japanese version there was so much things going on and of course I just binged watched it all and I really like it , it was drama about cold cases, each case has something to do with the past or somehow it has beginning in the past that needed help from the detective (one of the main characters in the series) of course other characters were good too , I didn't get bored at all , I was so excited to continue watching the next episode to know what will happen , it was a really good drama , even though it didn't have any good ending but I think it was a satisfying ending more than the one in the movie,but the whole drama is very good .
and I loved how everything were going fast.

This is a great romance miniseries with Ben Wang (Jin Ze) and Han Yu Tong (Song Wan Xing) as the leading couple. Although they met on a blind date by mistake, they both had had a prior positive impression of each other and both agreed to get married immediately, each one with problems to be addressed through a contract marriage. As they get to know each other, the feelings of mutual trust and admiration grow into a heartwarming and steadfast loving relationship. What sets this miniseries apart is that both Song Wan Xing and Jin Ze are honest and forthright individuals that communicate in a healthy and sincere way and, above all, have a great sense of self and mutual respect toward each other. The leading couple has great witty and romantic chemistry. Overall, this drama is well written and entertaining, enjoy it!

Friendship, Love & Second Chances

‘’Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!’’ is a story about Joke, who, using his exceptional disguise skills, robs wealthy oppressors and redestributes their riches to aid the poor and struggling people. On the other hand we have Jack, a kind hearted young man, who wants to open a school for the poor. After their first blessed-turned-cursed meeting, Jack swears to never allow Joke near him. However, after several years they meet again as an ex-con and a debt collector. Despite the past, they have to collaborate with one another on a grand heist.

Personally, at the beginning I thought that this was just a fun drama that I will watch and go on with my life, but now, I changed my mind. First of all, the cinematography is stunning and very pleasing to the eye. The locations are chosen very carefully and it shows. It showcases the realities of those living in luxury and poverty very well. Second of all, the acting is brilliant. At some point, you just forget that they are acting, because of how natural and convincingly it is played (the hospital scene in the 11th episode, I’m talking about you). The whole cast took time to understand the characters they are playing and are doing their best, which at the end of the day just makes the whole drama shine among others. And lastly, the chemistry. Let’s be honest, the drama can be exceptional, but without the chemistry between the main characters, it’s just bound for failure. Thankfully, this is a great example of what a good cast looks like. I’m not that familiar with YinWar, so I was curious about how this would turn out, but I am definitely far from disappointed. They feel comfortable which each other and it shows.

The story itself is making you want to know more about what’s going to happen next. It’s a drama done with love and by people who actually wanted to tell you a good story about friendship, love and second chances. I absolutely love the balance between the funny moments and the more serious ones that occur in this drama. I rarely cry on TV productions, but seeing Joke break into pieces on the hospital floor just hurts so badly I nearly ended up in the same state by just watching him.

Before I finish, I just want to say that War’s acting is one of my biggest surprises this year. This man is simply outstanding. I’m definitely looking forward to his next projects.

Also, am I the only one who just loves the friendship between the piglet’s group? Watching their evolving friendship, them being there for each other whenever there’s a need makes them such a comfort zone for me.

A Guilty Pleasure

My Sassy Girl (2017) is a historical romantic-comedy Korean drama that reimagines the 2001 hit movie of the same name in a Joseon-era setting.
The story follows a free-spirited and headstrong Princess Hyemyung (played by Oh Yeon-seo) and a scholarly but pragmatic commoner, Gyeon Woo (played by Joo Won). The princess, notorious for sneaking out of the palace and causing trouble, is determined to uncover the truth about her mother's mysterious death. Meanwhile, Gyeon Woo, known as the "Nation's Treasure" for his intelligence, unwittingly gets involved in her antics, leading to comedic misunderstandings and romantic tension

Personal Anecdotes:
Nothing grandeur about this drama. It pulls off cliches just fine i guess and has its balance.

How is this not being renewed

Everything from the acting to unpredictable storyline to incredible fight scenes was mind blowing. I've never seen Esther Yu in a completely serious role and it was AMAZING. The casting was done so well I'm not sure if they could have picked anyone better. Also, the fight scenes were just mind blowing. I know the ML and FL had amazing chemistry and were the focal point but I think my favorite storyline was Cheng Lei and Lu Yuxiao. My only regret is that I can't watch this show for the first time again. That and the absolutely insanity that this is not getting more seasons.

Great Watch but the Script got lost

The show started off action packed with mystery and intrigue. Then it kinda just stopped. I think once they return to the ML home town it kinda pauses the whole story and turns into a detour about his annoying "sister." Also his actual stepsister is AWESOME. I enjoyed the detour from one woman needing to fill every role from soft-mannered women to warrior. This was more realistic and enjoyable.
I also enjoyed the dynamics and power struggle but again felt like the queen was just an aristocratic version of the ML "sister." I enjoyed it and the scene where the ML thinks he lost the baby is extremely powerful. The acting there was amazing. Not sure if I can say much on the FL acting as she is phenomenal and delivers moving scenes in every show she is in.

I really want to love it but I have so many bones to pick with this drama.

I was so hooked in the beginning and I love the main couple and 2nd couple so much. But I feel like for me the cp carried a lot of it. The end of the drama especially just felt super rushed because the main point of the whole story they were in was to defeat the 9th level demon (I forgot I her name in english) but the scene kind of felt underwhelming as it was just one stab/one move and boom done nothing else. And at some point it felt like rather than having everything tie all together from information from the beginning it seems like they just kept on adding more and more new powers that weren’t previously mentioned before for the purpose of fitting whatever was going on. Which is fine and makes sense but there are so many new powers for what reason that would have changed the entire trajectory of the story if it were mentioned a lot earlier and it did not seem like new information they learned as it was just spoken. I like how it was complex but at the same time it felt kind of unnecessary at times and to the point where it loses the plot. When miaomiao goes back to the modern world she sees cuicui and grandpa at the book signing which is adorable but I feel like it would have made more sense if it was mu yao or liufuyi because in the end they are the second leads and if cuicui and grandpa are there wouldn’t muyao and liu fuyi too technically speaking. The ending of just fu zhou calling miaomiao name felt like it definitely needs more to add on to clarify or even give base to support the information they just dumped the last episode. How did miaomiao even end up going back? How did ziqi go back? Why is ziqi just remember now he’s fuzhou and how did he even get in there? I feel like the story between miaomiao and fuzhou little crush thing could have also had some more to it. Maybe I am just a little nitpicky here but it really just ended off with a lot of holes.

cute & lovely mini drama

Yay my new show after the others finished haha..
Glad to see kay song and DeDe as the main characters.
Remembering I once watched the drama "A Familiar Stranger" kay song's debut drama was very good.
Then I also remember DeDe playing the role of 'Shen Lan' in the drama "Pavilion Secrets" it really made me annoyed, but I'm very happy DeDe played a very good role in this drama, hopefully the annoying role can cure me when watching this drama hahaha...
They both deserve better, Thank You MANGOTV.
