History of a Salaryman is the most underrated drama of all time…

Story- I honestly don’t know where to start! The first half of episodes deals with the main character Yoo Bang trying to make it in the business world. Along the way we are taken thorugh hilarious antics while he fails a lot and but starts to succeed by the middle of the drama. During that time the murder mystery gets solved. After that your wondering how are they going to fill the rest of the episodes. Well there is a lot that happens. After Yoo Bang Succeeds he hits a roadblack, succeeds, then falls once again. Basically the theme in this drama is power. Everyone wants it and you get to see what all these characters (good and bad) do to obtain it. I never expected I’d laugh so hard from episode 1 all the way to the very end. I usually never give a 10 for a dramas story because I always find some fault somewhere but seriously this drama is perfect. The ending was the most original I have ever seen in a drama. It definitely keeps in line with the tone of the show.

Acting/Cast- Perfect casting! I like that the writers wrote the characters in a way that everyone’s role was important whether they were a lead or supporting. I loved the 4 leads the most but Jung Gyu Woon really outdid himself acting wise. His character was complex because he was one of the villains but you really can’t hate him for it. It was very interesting to see all these different sides to him. Yeo Chi was another character that I absolutely adored. I loved that they made her a chaebol but not your typical well respected one. She cusses a lot and shouts at everyone but I love that she never hides her emotions. I think her character development was really well written.

Music- the score matched the scenes so well as they helped to heighten the ever-changing moods. The OST was very good but there is this one song that I put on my ipod cause it was so fun and catchy.

Rewatch- I can rewatch this drama once a year because it’s so freaking hilarious.

Overall History of a Salaryman is the most innovative show to come along in a while. It might be a change from your typical preference but if you give it a chance you’ll be in for 22 hours of nonstop entertainment!

I was trying to wait until the season had finished before writing a review but I don't think I can wait any longer >.<

I'm going to start by saying that I didn't hate this drama. In many ways it was really good.... however..... compared to season 1, Dream High 2 is a little disappointing.

I like how the plot this time round is completely different, I liked that there was a new cast of actors to play with and that the writers gave us an entirely new story of the problems idols face once they've 'made it' rather than more students trying to achieve their dreams of becoming idols. I also like that the couple pairings could go either way, this drama has kept me guessing the whole way through (but often for the wrong reasons).

The story had a lot of potential but I felt was slightly let down by the characters. Hae Sung is fairly lukewarm, she doesn't have much fight and her relationships with other characters are unclear. For example 14 episodes in and I have no insight into how she feels about Yoo Jin. And what reasons (besides the fact he's an idol) does she have for liking JB? I just don't know.

Im Jae Bum did very well to get the part of JB as his debut part and I initially felt his character was very strong. I disliked him for his arrogance but at least I felt something about him. As the series progressed his character became more and more confusing, I failed to notice the point at which his character began to change and develop, it went from one extreme to the other so I can't decide if anything he actually does is serious or not. Furthermore the JB and Hae Sung story line is unconvincing, both characters are so watered down and fickle that I just can't work out what their motives are for doing anything.

Yoo Jin was one of my favourite characters but I also felt as a main character, there should have been a little more focus on him. He seemed to get shunted into the background slightly towards the second half of the drama but every second he was on screen I enjoyed. He's funny and his emotions are convincing, his 'G minooooooor' had me in tears of laughter.

Overall Rian was by far the best character in this drama. I began the series thoroughly disliking her but as I came to understand her more she began to grow on me. She's the only character, in my eyes, that really shows a true passion for performing. The others didn't appear to have much fight in them, however much they claimed they did, for this reason Rian shone in this drama more than all her co-stars put together.

One redeeming feature of this drama was the music, there wasn't one song that I disliked or bored me and 'B class life' is probably one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard. The drama really lives up to Dream High 1 in this category.

Overall I did enjoy this drama, the individual story lines never dragged on for more than a couple of episodes each and SOME of the characters are likable. However after about eight episodes or so I stopped feeling excited about new episodes coming out. I think it was the characters that did it for me, I don't think the actual actors are to blame but the way the characters are written, many being weak and unconvincing.

I was putting off writing a review in case my views on this drama dramatically changed, but with 14 episodes of dreary characters and confusing plots I don't think there's going to be a sudden change in the last two episodes. Sad but true.

Alone I think the drama is pretty good, but anyone who watched Dream High 1 will agree that in a fight, Go Hye Mi would definitely floor Hae Sung.

This drama is full of exciting twists and dark humor. I was a little reluctant to start watching it, but I'm so freakin glad I did. I loved that the characters' personalities had a nice development as the drama progressed. My emotional tummy almost fully satiated--there were heart-wrenching moments where I was just bawling like a baby, fist-clenching moments where I yelled at the screen and let loose curses that would've made Yeo Chi proud, and painful-I-can't-breathe moments when I was guffawing so loud my neighbor came to check if I was mentally stable.

The acting is absolutely top-notch, the music is currently on infinite repeat in my apt, and I would watch this drama again.

I wished that there were more heart-pumping, squee/cringing moments--that kind that make you feel embarrassed and avert your eyes to give them privacy. But that's just me.

If you enjoy having a characters of the following variety:
love-to-hate, endearing, kick-ass, hilarious, hopelessly tragic, and one-you-watch-bc-you-fell-in-love-with-them-in-a-diff-drama/movie/etc

THEN THIS IS THE DRAMA FOR YOU!! ;D

Just finished watching it. I'm a huge fan of the original A Little Princess movie. Makes me cry every time. Started watching this because of the same storyline. If you have seen the movie, then this drama will be a bit of a disappointment. It's fine to watch but the things that happen within the drama are just, i'm not sure how to describe it. I mostly kept watching it until the end for the mini romance. the drama itself doesn't do the story justice.

Even though I've only seen 13 episodes, I'm giving this a 10. This drama has made its way to being my favorite. There were a few things here & there that I didn't like so much but overall: amazing.

At first, I really didn't want to watch it, but I gave it a try anyways. & I'm so glad I did. The storyline isn't completely original but it's still pretty good & it's played out in a nice way.

The acting & music are awesome. All the songs have been stuck in my head for days already. Hopefully they make more.

I can sincerely say I liked this a whole lot better than Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. & if you're wondering if you should watch this, I highly recommend that you do.

I wanted to watch Color of Woman because it was suppose to be Jae Hee’s comeback drama. I was also looking forward to another romantic comedy…

Story- I loved the first episode! It caught me off guard because it was so different. This is the first drama where the romance is between 2 former lovers. The story isn’t really anything new but it still managed to differ itself with the settings/locations. In the beginning it was so light and funny. I was looking forward to work competitions and also the romance. But it didn’t really go in that direction. I think they focused too heavily on the romance to the point I just became restless. After episode 15 I actually just the recaps till the end. The ending was kind of silly but happy nonetheless. This show would have been so much better if they cut it down to 16 episodes because they really did focus on the 4 leads to much.

Acting/Cast- I actually loved the entire cast. They all fit their roles well. Although the 4 lead characters had moments when they pissed me off, I still liked them. I'm a little disappointed with So Ra’s character development though. In the first couple eps you saw glimmers of what the professional So Ra working in the beauty business could look like. I found it odd that they didn’t stick with the makeover. I mean she looked like a bag lady for the entire drama! If this was the real world she would never get hired. I know she’s not about her looks but sticking out in your work environment is not the way to go if you want to be taken seriously, which she never was. I had second lead syndrome with Shim Ji Ho’s character. I'm a new fan of his. The supporting cast made this show awesome. Their side characters really added to the entertainment factor being hilarious and all.

Music- Great OST! I put a couple songs on my ipod.

Rewatch- I’d rewatch this about 2 yrs from now just because I loved the cast.

Overall Color of Woman is not anything you haven’t seen before and it can be frustrating to watch especially toward the end but I’d say watch for the cast at least. That’s the only reason this drama will be memorable for me.

City Hunter is amazing, there is no other way of putting it.

The leading characters are protrayed beautifully and they seem so realistic, they are supported by an aray of different characters each with their own personality and traits.

The storyline is possibly the most original storyline I've ever come across. It had me hooked from the start and mantained the flow till the very end. It had me laughing, crying and shouting at the screen throughout the series.

The music is catchy and it gives suspense in all the right places and makes the fight scenes even more badass. I was humming the tunes whenever they came on.

Overall a brilliantly entertaining and egaging watch, that I would recommend to anyone. A nice mix of action, romance and with a hint of commedy. Plus theres the fact that the lead is tottaly hot!

Oh how I loved this drama! It made me feel so many emotions. I got angry, and sad and super happy. I loved the characters except for Yoo He Yi and reporter guy. But I think that`s a given since they are suppose to be the bad guys. I adore the music from this drama. I have the entire OST on repeat on my i-pod. This drama made me realized how great an actor Jang Geun Seok is, I now can't stop watching him. I rewatch this drama over and over again just to see him. This drama also introduced me to the sexy voice of Jung Yong Hwa and his amazing band CNBlue. It also made me realize just how versatile Hongki's voice is and how adorable he is as Jeremy, I wanted to pack him up and take him home with me ahaha.
Overall I love this drama to bits so of course I recommend it to anyone!
Happy Watching :)

When I had decided to finally watch this drama, it was basically on the fact that Lee Min Ho was going to be the lead(I had just finished watching Personal Preference). But, I had also heard that it was based on a Japanese anime and manga series, which I love, and I figured all the Korean dramas that I've watched based on an Anime have been great so far - so what the heck. I waited until it was about 8 episodes in when I couldn't wait any longer, and for good reason! This drama was amazing!! I watched all 8 in one sitting, and when I reached that far I hated myself because then I had to wait for the next weeks episode! It was painful to have to wait for it.

City Hunter had it all; mystery, bromance, comedy, action, shiny cars, and let's not forget the romance! Each episode was so packed with suspense, I fell in love with the show the first episode! With 20 episodes, you would think it dragged on, but the flow was actually on schedule. I also really enjoyed the OST for this drama, and that is really rare for me! I had never actually watched the anime of City Hunter, so I don't know if it actually was similar to it, but I believe it was good on its own. I loved all the action in this drama, along with its great film quality. The acting was also quite incredible; with Lee Min Ho (looking quite fine) I had previously just watched him on another drama and thought he was great then, but when I watched City Hunter, I didn't see him as his character in Personal Taste, but as a whole separate person. I thought Lee Min Ho actually rose to a whole other level with Lee Yoon Sung - his character. Lee Min Ho really captured Yoon Sung, making him my favorite in the series along with his hot cool moves! Haha

All in all, I Highly recommend that you watch City Hunter! It is NOT something you would want to skip out on!!!

The whole plot sounds amazing. Three girls, who are desperately trying to become idols, witness a crime and become male idols to protect their identity. What doesn't seem funny and dramatic about that? The thing is though, the acting was just so corny and the way the story played out it was so unrealistic. None of the characters are particularly likeable. I love a good gender bender, but this was not one of them. I personally couldn't finish watching it. I gave up, I thought it was so bad. That doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try, you might like it. I just didn't.

If you're into happy dramas then this is perfect for you. I couldn't finish the drama because it was so . . . happy. There wasn't enough pain or drama for me to continue on. I liked that Joe Cheng was in it, the acting was fair and the music okay. I just prefer drama's with more drama. That doesn't mean you shouldn't give this drama a try, you might like it. I just didn't.

What made me watch this drama in the first place was the amount of positive reviews for it. I had no idea what to expect, and I didn't bother to read the synopsis. After finishing the first episode, I honestly didn't get what the big deal was. The characters seemed ok enough, but the story seemed pretty standard (with some cute special effects thrown in). Once I started to watch the 2nd episode, all of the high reviews started to make sense.

Cha Seung Won and Gong Hyo Jin's chemistry was palpable. I loved the hilariously charming arrogance of Dokko Jin, and that Gu Ae Jung was a secure female lead. I felt my heart flutter, and break with them throughout. I guess there is nothing really new about their relationship scenario, but it still felt fresh, and was exciting to watch.

I also have to say that Yoon Kye Sang, was one of my favorite second leads ever. He was so great as Yoon Pil Joo (aka "Mr. Perfect"), that I felt myself starting to root for him [team pil-line!]. My only complaint is that Dr. Perfect started to seem a little too repetitive towards the end. It seemed like the hong sisters just didn't know what to do with him after a while.

Speaking of the Hong Sisters, I think they did a great job making this drama fun. The music played a large role in setting the mood, and the cast was great, but it's the script that played the biggest role in what worked (and what didn't). Even though I knew how things would generally turn out, there were many rewatchable moments, moments that made me swoon, moments that caught me off guard, moments that brought unexpected tears, and moments that made me laugh out loud.

I also have to mention little "Ding Dong" who was so cute. The bromance between him & Dokko Jin were some of my favorite moments.

I'll admit I didn't have much interest in the girl group backstory, though I do think It was funny watching them mask the fact that Gong Hyo Jin is not the greatest singer. The fact that such small things could cause such huge scandals for Hallyu stars felt exaggerated to me, so It was hard for me to get too invested in that part of the drama. I think that has a lot to do with my cultural differences than anything at fault with the drama itself. It still swayed my overall opinion of this drama, and made me lean more towards 8 than 9.

Although it sometimes reminded me of other dramas (and not just because of the shiny tracksuits), I think "The Greatest Love" still holds it's own. I can easily see why it is high on so many people's favorites list, and I certainly never expected to love "The Greatest Love" as much as I did. Add me to the bunch of people who highly recommend this Rom-Com. If the romance in this one doesn't get to you at all, you might want to check to see if you still have a pulse.

This was a drama that I had originally dropped a few years ago after about 2 or 3 episodes and gave score of only 4. I even skipped to the end and watched the final, but it really bugged me that I didn't really KNOW the story. I am writing this after just watching the last episode and WOW just WOW. YES it was long and hard to get through sometimes the main female lead said "I'm Sorry" so many times I wanted to smack her.
They made her character so "blah" that by the time she gains a little backbone you don't care and hardly notice.

I have never watched a drama that kept me saying "What the heck could happen after X, Y and Z!" and yet something always did. I spent many a late night telling myself just one more part then i'll go to bed just one more! There were times when I said, ok they could end this now and I would be happy or yeah they can't do any more to these people lets end it now. One crazy thing is that I feel they could have added a few more episodes to close a few gaps they had to give the story full closure.

I would never re-watch this so I can't give it a 10 but I don't feel it was a waste to watch,
If you really don't think you could handle watching such a long series watch about 10 episodes every two weeks (but if your like me you will be hooked after 10) The main male lead Kim Tae Hyun (I find his name as Jin Tae Huyn as well ) should have gotten a Grand Bell (even though it's for movies) I don't know why he doesn't appear as the lead in more dramas this man has talent you notice the growth and development of this character!

The music wore on my nerves, 159 times hearing the same song not a surprise there were other "tunes" but the main song they played just didn't move or reach me it just had the emotional sound to tie with the drama. Overall I gave it an 8 because some of the characters and subplots were just not to my cup of tea. I would watch another drama by the writer(s) if i haven't already, though at this moment I don't think I could handle another one this long.

I liked this drama very much. I love the manga Hana Yori Dango so I enjoy watching all the adaptions of it. I loved the story line of this one it was a interesting twist from the normal story. I would have rated it higher if it wasn't for the character Jan Di. In the beginning she drove me NUTS I wanted to strangle her so many times. But as the drama continued I fell in love with her. I loved the rest of the cast too! So much eye candy I thought I would die!
I recommend people to watch this drama.
