I feel like odd man out when it comes to this drama. Nine Times Time Travel is a really great drama, one that I think anyone could enjoy. It has something for all types of drama watchers, and I think the storyline is unique enough to keep you guessing at every turn. As soon as you think you have it figured out, the writers throw your notions out the window. It's rare for a drama to excel at that aspect so much without seeming like they jumped shark.
But here is where I start feeling odd man out from all of the people who gave this story a ten. I am not sure where to place the blame for this on. The writers touted the story as even better than Queen In Hyun's Man. The similar time travel also leads to comparisons, and every single person that recommended it to me mentioned QIHM and how similar they were. And, to a degree, they are similar. But 9 focuses much less on the romantic aspect than QIHM did. 9 is all about all of the relationships between all of the characters, not just the main couple. It also lacked the levity that QIHM embraced. There wasn't an episode of QIHM that went by without making you smile at least once. 9 was much more melodramatic and tearful.
All of that aside, the actors seriously did an amazing job, every single one of them. Lee Jin Wook just has this smile that conveys so much sadness and heartbreak, you just want to hug him. And the supporting cast all were absolutely phenomenal as well. I really liked the few QIHM Easter eggs that I noticed, like when the head reporter guy (who was the baddie in QIHM) ringtone was Hee Jin's ringtone. It was cute!
This drama had a lot of action and drama and was constantly moving from the getgo. There were very few slow scenes, and almost no useless scenes, which can be nice. Every scene felt like it had a purpose, even if you didn't understand the purpose for 10 episodes. There were, however, a lot of really boring car chase scenes. I mean, one or two is OK, if it's like a 3 minutes shot. But almost entire episodes were devoted to car chases, so it felt excessive.
All in all, this was definitely a drama I could recommend to anyone, and I really do think anyone would enjoy. My only caution would be to not go into this expecting a lot of romance, cause you will be disappointed.

It has the perfect mixture between love and family, making it more interesting. Even if it is a remake, it was as good as the original and Tamamori Yuta was really good acting the part of Ren, and could show really well the tsundere-like personality of the protagonist. I liked it because the love story is not the typical one, and it's full of suspense. Besides, there are not the usual romantic drama's cliches that make you know the end halfway.
So in the end, if you want to watch something fun, romantic, unexpected and that will keep your eyes on the screen, this is the right drama.

But if you are not a teenager and don't like dramas that feels like you are watching a shoujo anime, don't lost your time watching this.
The story is really cliché... A High School where all the boys are from rich families, good looking and all well dressed. And the main girl is the typical protagonist, who get a scholarship to study in the prestigious Ouran Academy. Overall, a easy rom/com drama, who could be better, if it weren't for the constant use of comedy, in an exaggerated way (the effects were so similar to a anime show, even the facial expression were to extreme).
The Cast was ok. Yamamoto Yusuke is so good looking and I loved him in Tumbling, but here It wasn't enough for me to enjoy the drama. Some of the characters were weird (like the 2 twins and the boy who was always with that bunny - did you find that cute? I didn't!) and I didn't feel any empathy with the characters.
The music was ok... Hum... I don't have most to say, it fits the drama.
Overall is mediocre. I enjoy it while I was watching it, but sometimes I had to skip some scenes, because many of them were simply ridiculous. Rewatch Value for me is a 1, because I can't give 0. I don't have any intension of rewatch this drama. Mainly because I was so glad to finished this drama, the sooner I could.
But like I said at the beginning of this review, this is my opinion, from someone that didn't watch the anime version and was curious about this. But after all, this is the kinda of dramas I don't like.

As the show goes on, all the interesting plotlines disappear, and the show's sole focus becomes petty family arguments. The reason I have dropped the show twice is because the way this show portrays women has made me uncomfortable and angry. All of the "good" characters are totally spineless women who will subject themselves to all manner of abuse at the hands of men and in-laws without any resistance at all. All of the show's villains are cunning, mischievous women. Even when men do horrible things in the show, it is revealed that their evil women pushed them to behave that way.
The second half is about to start, so I am hoping that it resumes focus on something other than poorly-written cat fighting. However, you should know that the first half, and especially episodes 10-24 can be really hard to stomach.

LIFE is an extremely dark drama that focus' on school bullying and how it effects everyone; teachers, parents and of course, the students.
The acting was fantastic, they all managed to bring out the characters emotions really well, not to mention how freaking scary Hosoda Yoshihiko's acting was!
LIFE is the type of drama that is so insane and unpleasant but at the same time so compelling and brillaint that you just can't stop watching!
So much happens in each episode and each episode leaves you wanting more, another good thing is that each episode is only around 36 minutes long, so it doesnt drag on.
i also want to mention the music, the soundtracks were all perfect background music and fit in with the scenes really well - made me cry and smile and even gave me goosebumps in some scenes!
all in all, this drama is a much watch! i recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a serious and dark drama, you will not regret it!

The main problem I had with the show was the writing- there were too many elements mixed together. The supernatural element especially was only thrown in from time to time- as if someone occasionally remembered it was supposed to be there, but didn't know how to fit it in. The ending felt strange for that reason. The acting was a bit clunky at times, but I felt that the actors did the best they could with a dubious script- or in the case of the actor who played Alex, with a character who was written with very little personality.
But, like I said, I enjoyed this show. The romance was sweet, although I was angry at the main female lead more than once. Jin and Kay had a lot of personality and weren't bad to look at. The case of the day, while usually weird and (for some weird reason) leading everyone to forgive someone who committed a crime, was usually interesting.
If you are looking for something amusing and not overly coherent, this might be for you.

The acting is pretty good, the music didn't make much of an impact on me, and there were elements that were just plain silly. I will say all in all it was cute.

I thought the story was good it follows our main character and Xaio Bei and her job as a hair stylist, she gets recruited into working for a famous company called Neo image. Although the opening makes it look like a reverse harem it's not so if your'r looking for something like Ouran you won't find anything like that. The story is good and has some twists the problem i found was one the ending seamed a bit rushed and at the very beginning you can tell who will end up with who their's really no surprise at the end.
Acting 8/10
I thought the acting was very good i found my self feeling for almost all the characters who i was suposto feel for the only reason i hesitate to give it a higher schore is because sometimes it seams stilted but most of the time it is quite good.
Music 7/10
The music like most dramas consists of the main title end title and songs for when things are happy, sad ect. The reason i'm giving it a 7 out of 10 is because while the opening and ending are pretty good i found it a bit annoying when they were playing the really tense music when their was a tense moment i mean i get it but sometimes i feel like we as the audience can tell when it is a tense moment and when it is not, I also find it a bit annoying when i feel like the same loop of We wish you is repeating over and over in the background.
Rewatch Value-This one has an ok Rewatch value I found myself rewatching it because I liked to watch the actors but because of the twists and things once you've scene it you kinda know what's going to happen. I feel like you could watch this maybe twice if you had the time.
Overall
This Drama is pretty good the comedy when it's good it's pretty good I did find myself sometimes getting annoyed at Xaio Bei but that's probably because she reminds me of Tohru honda from fruits basket and her selflessness can make you think twice about suspending your flag of disbelief but I think it's nice to have an all-around nice character these days.

As expected it was a typical idol drama which promotes the idols. The story was refreshing. It was my first time watching a drama about nail arts mixed with gumiho elements. Customers with problems go into this nail shop and get cured/help by/from the nice nail artists and slowly we get to know more about the artists - I emphasize slowly. The drama is mainly a mixture of the story of the drama and the story of the story in the drama (the main lead is a writer).
About the music - I'm not sure I've only heard one song and that one was good. Maybe I overheard the instrumentals or I focused too much on the actions.
After the first 5 - 6 episodes I thought that I was going to regret watching this because nothing happened! I mean you just didn't know anything about the nail shop artists, yes they helped persons, the story of the writer was going on and so but you were just like - oh, it's already episode 6? I don't know anything about them...
However in the second half their story started to develop and I started to like the drama and then it ended.
I would definitely recommend it to KARA/MBLAQ fans and drama watchers who think they need something totally different from your typical romance, gumiho drama.

i love that yoon hwa and park shin hye are there
love the choice of music
Lee Shin, (Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in Western Music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of a band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant person, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye).
Lee Gyu Won is a jolly, bright, and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in Traditional Korean Music. She plays the gayageum. Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.
Yeo Joon Hee (Kang Min Hyuk) is a bumbling, shy, and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a complete childlike personality, shaggy idiot by day, Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases during the day, he comes across University Princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee Joo (Woori), who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee Joo's personality than his naïvety knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for Hee Joo and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives.
The time when Lee Gyu Won decided to join the performance for the festival, every one sees her potential talent and this triggers Han Hee Joo's mother who plans together with Tae Joon, one of the school's administrators, to destroy Lee Gyu Won's and the Director's image for her to quit the upcoming festival in her fear that Lee Gyu Won might outshine her daughter Han Hee Joo.

It started off the story with a lot to offer, and I feel that even though they tied all the lose ends it would have been better if they had not waited until the 10th episode to do so. It felt like too much was happening that we could not even understand feel the weight of what was happening.
We needed at least two more episodes to flesh out the ending a little more.
I liked the ending despite all that. The acting was okay in general from the main girl, but, I was really glad that there were better actor than her in this production including the male leads.
My favorite character was Kay from this show, and that is why I really wish that the ending could have been fleshed out a little more for his sake.
But, if you are bored and enjoy cute dramas you will in general enjoy this drama. I loved the couple moments!

I know that some people will not agree with what I'm going to say, but I thought this was an outstanding drama. It was NOT perfect, but really good. Sure, the action might not be that superb, but the story kept me interested throughout the whole drama. I especially loved the parent's story. Wol Ryung still loved Seo Hwa even after what she did. Even though kang Chi and Yeo Wool's story isn't as deep, it was still so cute! ^_^
Acting/Cast... Lee Seung Gi is amazing as always! I could feel his emotions and all. Of course Choi Jin hyuk was fabulous too. Suzy's acting truly impressed me. I know some people hate her acting, but she did well here! She carried out her character really good. I thought she couldn't act back in Dream High and I was ready for her to ruin the drama for me, but she was great ! I wish the chemistry between Suzy and Seung Gi is a bit better though..
Story... I really liked the story honestly. It really kept my interest up. But it jumps all over the place sometimes. Kang Chi's goal was to find the Gu Family Book, but because of so many problems occurring, he ended up not. And I didn't like the ending much either....
the Music was absolutely amazing! I love Suzy's Ost "Don't Forget Me" !
There ya go! I really do recommend this drama. My favorite drama of this year so far!

Story:
The story is good, even if it's not really original. We can understand the main girl's feeling and relate to her I think. The fact that it's set in a nail salon is actually original, and I really liked it for this.
Acting: I think we can say that we have here a good set of hot guys. I never know how to say wether people act good or bad, but I touhjt it was good here.
The music is not bad either. Anyway. This is not the best show ever, but it has some really good moments, some cute scenes, and it's not very long, which is a good point in my opinion!

Man, this show. If there were ever a text book case of the old adage, too many irons in the fire, this show would be it. Some of the things this ambitious show aimed to cover: gumihos, ghosts, hidden identity, romance, love triangles, writing, nail art, medical issues, mysteries...the list could go on and on and on. Seriously. When I started episode 10, I knew the goal of my review would be to convince people not to watch this drama. At the end of the series, I still am so far away from recommending it, but I can argue that it really wasn't as bad as my brain kept insisting.
I think I'll start with reasons why you should save yourself the hours you would spend watching this show before jumping into the few redeeming qualities it possesses. First, this drama was just all over the place. I mean, one second it's about a girl pretending to be a boy so that she can get more info on the guy she wants to write a story about. The next, we are dealing with ghostly rape and shaman mothers. Yes, I did just say ghostly rape. Cause, you know, that's a thing.
This drama reminds me a lot of KPop TUA. Not because of the gender bender aspect, but because none of the acting is that good, and the characters are all so young and fresh and have no idea what they are doing as actors. I think if they wanted to have so many balls juggling up in the air, they should have gone with some veterans. But given the storyline, what veteran would have accepted a role?
The romantic aspect of the show was 4 parts irritating, 1 part cute. None of the characters could ever make up their minds about anything. I suppose in some way, that makes it pretty realistic. The indecision and fighting got old pretty quick though. I'd have liked it more if Bunny had picked Alex or Kay at like episode 6 and then we had happy episodes in between, not waiting til the end to find out who she will end up with. The constant back and forth was just tiring.
OK, now to the few redeeming things that make this drama, at the very least, skimmable. First, Kay. Even though his character was poorly written, the actor really did try and give his all in the role, and I really think there are times where he did an amazing job. His struggle with his sexuality was cute, and he was really graceful about it at times. The danger of gender benders is that writers can really make homosexuality sound like a fate worse than death. And while I understand that Korea is a different society than where I am, it's refreshing to see a character not too emotionally distraught over the idea that they might be gay.
Jin and Ji Soo would be the second reason this drama is worth a skim. Their relationship, for the most part, was the cute breath of fresh air this drama sorely needed. Even when they were fighting, it was mostly adorable.
I could have swore I had more redeeming qualities to list, but none are coming to mind. I wouldn't say that I regret watching this drama necessarily, but every single week I was yelling at the TV trying to figure out why I kept watching. It was oddly compelling, wanting to see how the characters would work things out in the end. That being said, I still don't think this drama redeemed itself enough in the end to be worth the time. I'm glad I finished it, but unless you have the patience of a saint, and the ability to MASSIVELY suspend disbelief, you might try something else instead. The popularity of gender bender dramas ensures that there is something immensely more enjoyable right around the corner.
