Ideal drama for those who like screechy female leads
I probably should have dropped this after one episode, when the female lead had already had 4 incomprehensible, pointless, screeching fits, two of them accompanied by grabbing or violence. But I'd liked Hwang Jung-eum in She Was Pretty so hung in there hoping this was a soon-resolved thing - in the way the writers did with the FL in My Shy Boss.
Sadly, it was not to be.
Jung-eum swung between weepy drip and neurotic, screeching drunk (the latter seemingly a growing trope with the writers of Kdramas - the opposite to Candy but no less repellent). I could see potential in some of the other characters - the second male lead, the quirky coach, the funny client - but my ears had started bleeding by then so I gave up.

Watch it or Not ?
Opening Shot: A thunderstorm rages over a mountain. A small, dilapidated building has “Police Line: Do Not Cross” tape stretching around it. Inside a woman’s body is lying motionless.
The Gist: It’s not a dead body we see in the first shot of the series but the very much alive body of Lee Hong Jo (played by Cho Bo-Ah). Hong Jo is a low level civil servant for the city of Onju’s Green Space Division where she responds to the worst complaints the citizens have: she cleans dead fish out of the local ponds, she tries to calm angry residents with noise complaints. While responding to a noise complaint about a construction site working all night, she tries to calm the tension between the workers and their angry neighbors, when one of the men in the construction crew throws himself off the fourth floor and dies.
Six months later, we see a trial playing out and a young lawyer named Jang Sin Yu, played by K-Pop star Rowoon, is defending the construction company in a negligence lawsuit brought by the dead man’s wife. Sin Yu proves he’s clever and cunning, revealing in court that the dead man and his wife planned for him to get injured on the job to collect insurance, and things went awry during his fall. He and the rest of his legal team are ruthless, but his lack of emotion and empathy aren’t his worst trait: He’s plagued by a mysterious curse that manifests in different ways. He has body tremors. When he’s alone, a bloody red hand envelopes his face. It’s not really clear if this curse if truly evil or what, but it obviously haunts Sin Yu every day of his life.
So what brings these two very different people living in very different worlds together?
After a young man who was hiking dies at the site of a mysterious and reportedly haunted temple, Hong Jo goes to investigate the scene of his accident. While she’s there, she gets spooked when she thinks a statue is speaking to her, and she slips and falls, getting knocked out. Sin Yu also happened to be there checking in on it, as his wealthy family owns the shrine and the land it was built on. Eventually, the shrine has to be demolished, but while it’s being torn down, Sin Yu unearths a wooden box buried beneath it. A shaman, a woman who used to live in the temple on the land and obviously knows something about Sin Yu’s curse, tells him that his suffering will end now that he has met the owner of the wooden box. And guess who THAT is…

Nice but not the best
It’s a refreshing comedy drama. Dylan perfectly portrayed Xu Qi An, a modern guy with all the knowledge. However I started to drop the drama after several episodes princess lin an. Why is the heroine character so fvcking dumb??? I can’t tolerate such trying-to-be-cute-but-dumb character. So it’s a big no for me. I honestly skipped everytime she appears 😂Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Just loved it!
Just finished the last episode feeling very sad because I will miss them so much! It's funny that I started to watch this drama because I liked the trailer but the first episode was quite strange and a bit boring because of the Interviews format. But I really like the actors so I continue watching. After episode 4 I was completely hooked... I don't normally follow Instagram, but I started following the "Lovestruck in the city" page for spoilers and news about the drama, like daily!!
The love story of the YangYang couple is quite beautiful, specially for romantic people like myself. And you find yourself always wishing they will meet again and feel angry and frustrated because they don't!
During all 15 episodes you feel a mix of emotions. You sympathize with the female lead but at the same time hate her!
You want the main couple to end up together, but then you don't !
I found myself thinking that Park Jae Won would eventually fall out of love with Lee Eun Oh and meet the real Yun Seon Ah by coincidence at the end of the show... :)
All 3 couples are so real, I think if you had a couple of relationships in your life you will relate with one of these for sure... Sometimes you love somebody but your goals in life are so different that eventually you end up following different paths, or break up because you were afraid to show your true feelings! The acting of all 6 actors is amazing! It's really feels like a documentary, not a drama... like they are really being their self's. On the last episode you could feel the happiness on Jae Won expressions, it felt so real! And the sadness on the other two couples...
Definitely this will be one of my favorites for a long time...

This show is probably going to be canceled ?.
Was really looking forward to seeing this as I love anything with Tod and Cheque in it and then found out Cheque left in the middle of this being filmed so it wasn't finished. Sucks too, because the trailer looked promising! I hope it gets picked back up for filming, but they'll have to find someone who can match Tod's intensity in acting. Cheque seemed to be the only BL actor who could and now that he's gone......Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Expected it to become better(in terms of direction/acting/quality)compared to other history seasons.
History series has some good ones like MODC, trapped where everything was good. So it's normal that you'd expect a better comeback, at least I did. As I started watching it, I felt so irritated for a bit. THE CAMERA WORK is absolutely the worst, I mean it was so unstable it was as if the cameraman was flying in the air or smthn, sometimes he would just move it like a lightening, and the other times he would film their nostrils, like what?!!! As far as I remember History 1 was way too better than this. The acting; Okay, I understand that Li Cheng's character is hyper active sometimes, but I cringe when all of a sudden he tries to act crazy or cute out of nowhere. And his acting is so bad! I don't even know whether it's the director's fault or the actor's, because he's literally overdoing it to make it funny(like some typical thai bl dramas). Their acting wasn't even natural at all. I mean almost every scene like pushing, fighting, "quarelling" looks so fake. It's either over done or no feeling at all.
But the girls did a great job though! Better than those leads I felt. They represented typical Fujoshis in a good way it was funny to watch them together.

Overly pathetic and patriotic
I basically picked this drama because I wanted to see the cast of the Eternal Love in modern outfits and check what sort of deals the Chinese security office investigate. Industrial espionage that is. For a short moment it was even interesting to observe the level of intertwinement between the government and a corporate world, but I am not really into corporate dramas, which this show appears to be by the third episode. What they'd offered by the fifth episode wasn't my fav type of intrigue. All the security service guys looked too flat, pathetic and immaculate. Vin Zhan and Yang Mi look way better in historic costumes, whereat I'm going to continue enjoying them.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Initial impression rather than a review
Obviously, after dropping the series after just 4 episodes (in fact after three, I watched the fourth one some two months later and it didn't help) I cannot really provide a proper review, so here's just my personal reasoning.Note that I'm writing this as huge fan of Janice Wu: I truly dislike the character she's playing here. People are praising the fact that she (the character) is not another dumb sweet girl, but for me the creators went way too far in the opposite direction. The character (at least how presented in these first episodes) is simply a bully; she was bully in the past, she is bully towards the male lead in the present (which I'm OK with, as I don't mind ML&FL bickering), and what's by far the worst, she's bully/bossy towards her friends - or I should rather write 'servants'. The 4th episode does make some attempt to portray how she won them over, but to me it still feels like "I helped you this once, so now you'll follow me and I'll order you around".
Maybe it gets better in further episodes, I don't know. For me this series is already a lost cause and the biggest disappointment of 2020 so far.

Fans of this show are not going to like this
I really anticipated a new gl after watching gap. However, I was ultimately disappointed with love senior. I really started off the show all enthusiastic despite it's trailer already making me sceptical and worry about how I'm probably not going to enjoy this one. Nevertheless, I gave it a go and I really couldn't..... I've ultimately dropped it after episode one. It was way too cringey for my liking, the cinematography and the camera works were also a let down. I usually would still go on if the previous aspects aren't up to my expectations. The deal-breaker for this show was the story though. Despite all it's shortcomings, the main reason why I had to drop it is because I couldn't overlook the poorly paced storyline that I couldn't find myself getting attached to or even find any sort of entertainment in. It was rushed, poorly developed and all over the place which led it to be messy and boring for the most part in the first episode itself. However, I may or may not pick it back up as others have said in their reviews that it gets better later on and we'll see if my opinions will changeEsta resenha foi útil para você?
Cute light drama
So far this drama is cute and light. It’s giving very rom com vibes. I like our main cast. The two male leads are both cute and seem to have pretty decent chemistry between each other. I Ike the city boy comes down to the small town vibes. From the beginning the plot moves pretty fast. I like the friend of Sakae and other members of the town. They give off wholesome vibes. There seems to be this angst vibes for one of our main leads. The editing has been pretty decent so far as well.
One thing I liked so far is one of our main protagonist has a good many funny facial expressions that really add to the dialogue.

Hideyoshi Kan on the BL planet
Most Japanese BLs in nonschool settings have foods to connect and to tell a story. This one operates the same, where we have a handsome, charming young man who runs small food corners (I would not call it a restaurant). While the story, based on the premise, is so much usual, nothing extreme and nothing new-- I think honestly, I don't look forward to how it progresses---Sukiyaken is still worth watching. It is a reminder of what it is like to live on BL planet, where being gay is so acceptable and normal. And seeing Kan Hideyoshi on this planet is so refreshing.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
