I found this by accident and even if it's a bit outdated I decided to try it anyway.I liked the fact that the main lead was not the always present dick of a chaebol but a normal guy, yes he's not poor but he's not the top of the top of the top and so I didn't had to watch any of those cringeworthy scenes of him choosing between a several amount of clothes , cars and whatever. So no "wealth bragging" and his character was quite cute, I can even understand why for a while he was confused between Chae Rin and the female lead, I mean she loved that noona for so long and she didn't see like us her true face..so the male lead, considering this is from 2005 was cute and I happily cheered for him!
The fem lead was okay I guess but she was kind of annoying in the middle, they both made clear they feelings for each other but they were going slowly because she was reluctant to go for it.
The supporting characters I loved were the father in law (cuteness run within that family lol) and the male classmate, he had the right intuitions and gave the best advices (at the very beginning I thought he was going to be a love rival, fortunately he had only eyes for Dan Hee), also I can understand why at some point Dan Hee pushed Chun Yang towards the awful ceo, she was trying to protect her from the sufference caused by Myong Ryong's wavering.
The second leads just made drop the value of this drama, but you know, without them the show would be ended by the 4th episode xD
The things that made me despise them are two: the motivations for keep chasing the main couple were based solely on pride and jealousy and not love but most of all they were always in the right place at the right moment eavesdropping some important infos (like where the main couple is or what are their intentions)...at some point I exclaimed a "come on" so loud because of this that I scared my husband xD
Oh another annoying thing: the opening with all that screaming and noises. (????)?????

The plot is about two people who dealt with their heartbrokes in two different ways: she chooses to be the "love doctor" to fulfill her longings through others and he chooses to be the ceo (because there must be the word ceo...it's actually a thing in dramaland) of a divorce agency.
I wasn't really really convinced about the utility of an agency that throws parties to celebrate divorces...and I am still lol
The title (also the first bunch of episodes) can make you think the story talks about misfortune but the whole concept loses itself to favour the overused and overannoying ex-girlfriend-that-abandoned-the-male-lead-without-giving-notices-for-x-time-and-then-comes-back-to-be-clingy-and-irritating. Why in the world when you have a car accident you chose not to tell your boyfriend about it and disappear in thin air? That doesn't make any sense. A text, a letter, whatever. You also known he had complex because the mother abandoned him...did you really thought he would pause his life waiting for you? Meh.
I felt sad for the second lead because he was the only interesting character (the male lead looked like a stalker at some points).
The opening credit also disturbed me because there was too much yellow lol I love yellow and I love yellow/blue combo but the characters were yellow at a point that they looked like the simpsons lol
I actually skipped a lot near the end, too draggy and too boring to me x.x

Beware because this is basically me ranting a lot. If you feel like trying this drama park your brain somewhere and retrieve it after you finished because ugh. If you liked it and don't agree well good for you xD, I just felt my pride as a woman very very hurt by this drama. This drama is basically some 50sog bad written fanfiction (while that novel was already a bad written fanfiction lol) but the "smut" parts are so cringeworthy and straight up uncomfortable to watch I actual had chills on my spine, facepalming and rolling my eyes like a freaking ferris wheel all the time lol
The male lead is what is called a basic f#ckboi, the female is a brainless spineless girl who's constantly oblivious of her surroundings and she apologizes even to someone who just forced a kiss on her. The plot....what plot?! Lol
If this would have been a psychological thriller that depict the risks of being captured by sexual predators and become prisoner in a dangerous mental state (aka brainwashed) then it would be a great start, but unfortunately this thing is supposed to be a romantic fantasy. (??)
So the main leads accidentally meet in a coffee shop, he saves her from one really persistent guy who was trying to hit on her (the 4th in 2 minutes of drama) and there's this moment when their eyes met and the time stops. He asks her on a dinner and she accepts. During this date we get to know that he's 30 and she's 20, but I swear everything about him screamed 20 yo (the amazing thing is that the actor himself is 30 but he looks so young! To me wasn't a good choice but okay, some have baby faces or they're immortal, dunno. Good for them xD) and here's the first red signal: she got asked if she drinks wine and she just seem incapable of saying what's really in her mind, she thinks "gosh I never drank wine" but she does it. In front of a stranger you just met?? That's really dangerous!
She faints after one glass and she wakes up at his house. And he just confess that he loves her (love not like, yes) and asks her to be his girlfriend. She accepts because...idk he's handsome I suppose. In the real word there are two options: is fu#king up your mind to get into your panties or he's a creep. Either way, your spider senses should be tingling in that situation. The fact that it was promised some dark past when he's actually serious got me dumbfounded because I was waiting the time she discovered she's been played all along, he's a drug lord, a killer or idk he sells young naive girls like her. But no, his corny and cringey sentences are really sincere. Lol
But the girl...oh she's another level of irritating. Spineless and in constant search for a validation: the perfect victim for a sexual predator. Every man in this drama just violate her space and she's petrified looking down - well that could be a realistic reaction because even the strong ones can unfortunately experience that panic...the point is that she had this reaction also with his lover: she clenches her fists, shut her eyes and turn her head every time he makes a move on her, the sex scenes looked like he's just raping her or in the best cases, using a sex doll. I don't know if it was the actress who couldn't get in this role or she was requested to be this much passive but I swear that was so uncomfortable! I get the passive type thing, but she was shaking like crazy unbuttoning her shirt and it wasn't even their first rodeo!! How can you call that consent? She looked like she was doing any kind of stuff (even the wine thing) just because she didn't want to disobey him. Gross.
Also! I was really annoyed how she apologized basically for being alive: she was FINE if he was ashamed to date her publicly (it was just her thinking it but still you can't be fine with something like that), she apologized to a couple of guys who forced themselves on her, she apologized for not being a "fine lady" and she was fine he disappeared for weeks with not even a text (my cells screamed he's so shadyyyy but it turned out to be yet another damn young CEO) This girl needed a consultation not a possessive dude that only says "gosh you're cute" and awkwardly pat on her head like she's a pet.
Oh and in the final episode he said something like "we already broke up so I don't need to listen to what you want"............. That really was a calling for a well placed pointy shoe on his jewels at 100km\sec speed. Destroy them so he can't fool anyone else. (I'm usually against violence, but these guys just drained my tolerance)
And yes, I decided to go in with the thriller part and it has a happy ending, she successfully escaped his grip, got him jailed and gained a bit of self respect.
Ps. Also what's that random "youtuber-like" music?? Lol
I really apologize if this rant hurts your feelings about this drama but my pride was hurt too watching this thing xD

This drama is a bit old, so some of the characters have very old fashioned way of thinking, but I have to admit that it's a bit forward in certain aspects. The things I liked most were the relationship between kids and uncles (especially Pa Rang and Kang Ha, they share a very cute bond and I have to say Pa Rang is the very hero of the whole drama even tho at the beginning was a bit annoying - I swear later he grows on you) and how the female lead became from a superficial useless girl to a very cool woman who never lost her cool (there was a moment in the middle, when Kang Ha almost married that other girl, but for the rest she was okay). Usually in those kind of old drama the female lead's traits never changes but they're even seen as an attractive point for almost all the guys that will appear during the story. She's not nosy, loud, she doesn't do things for her loved ones sake and , when she decided to change her life, she stayed faithful to her new attitude. Just don't judge her from the first episode.
The chemistry between the main leads is natural, especially when they argue but there's a lot of time stole by that useless second leads subplots. And this is what I was thinking talking about "old fashioned" the second leads are more clingy than a gum on your hair!! Both Jae Young and Joon Ha had no consistent reasons for their attachment to the main leads and they just don't know when to give up (BUT they magically do it near the end, like that.)...she had to marry him because she decided so, there's no love involved, she just thought something like "we're beautiful and successful so we are a great pair"...how pathetic would that be? Add to this the fact that she went around slapping and yelling at everyone just to vent her frustration and we have the most annoying character ever imagined. I think they should've added a serious reason to make her fall in love with him just to begin with ...I mean she even threatened him to reveal the big secret to the brother (the "big" secret of them being step brother...and he knew already!! All that episodes wasted like that). And for Joon Ha I kinda liked him at the beginning even if he seemed like a weak character, but I don't understand at all his changing obsession between the two girls so fast...he first was madly in love with JY and for her sake he started trying to steal Pal Gang from his bro but he fell for her like that, in two seconds he didn't remember anything good about JY (quote). And that girl that won't cry thing, I don't even understood how good of a reason to fell for someone would be. She was a spoiled brat from the beginning.
The worst of the worst was that verbal duel between the brothers "I can't steal her like I did with our mother" "for my bro's sake I can give up her"....she doesn't get to decide whom she like?? Why I had this feeling her opinion on this matter was so unimportant that she wasn't even asked about it?
*I really need to insert that Aladdin's gif where Jasmine scolds everyone for playing with her future like she's some sort of prize*
The nephew was cute with the kids but really he was an unimportant character...he's here just to have another contestant for Pal Gang's hand but he didn't even stood a chance so meh. I wish he would've given up her before and started being a cheerful character with no romance implementation... (You are in dramaland when a whole family just go nuts for the very same plain looking girl lol)
But beside clingy characters and bipolarism it was entertaining for at least the three quarter of it - in some parts I even thought "wow this is very good" (when it was more focused on the family struggle and the children), so I suggest to give it a shot if you like those improvised family drama when leads become surrogate of dead parents and slice of life ones.
Also I loved the fact that the kids and the girl had all color names! I learned something in Korean!
Ps. Some of the characters has different hairstyles than the posters o.o

Plastic surgery advertising
First of all, I know this movie is old, but still I can't just considering like a pile of garbage (ノ ̄皿 ̄)ノ ⌒== ┫We have a fat female lead with weak personality who has a kind heart and foolishly falls in love with her good looking boss (or whatever xD) and after eavesdropping a convo between him and the other girl where he says "she's ugly but she has a good voice so be kind to her because we need her" decide to drastic change her appearance.
Girl, where was your brain when they highkey made you into that Ammy playback voice??? What kind of working contract is that???
WHY DID YOU FUCKING ABANDONED YOUR DOGGO???
Why in the name of the lord of bananas Kong the mighty you got back to that place??! Without some fine vendetta plan??!
The guy is just our typical asshole. He never acknowledge or apologize for his behaviors, but oh he's soooo different inside right? (?) And since he's good looking we forgive him. Go get a plastic surgery on that personality of yours, won't you?
And why the friend continuously called her ugly, monster and so on? What kind of friend do that?
To me this movie has no sense at all, the characters just make weird decisions and says atrocious things like they're talking about the wheater all the time.
There are also two attempt suicide that are inserted for COMIC RELIEF.
I need to pause to let you digest it.
In conclusion, this movie shows how normal is to mock someone for their weight (because fat people don't have feelings you know) and that no matter if you can do something really good and you're a nice person, just change your body in order to grab that asshole boy you had the misfortune to fell for. 2006 was a wild year.

This drama is such a waste of great ideas. I mean trot music? What's that? I was so intrigued because those are not the typical melodies we get to hear in dramas (not from people under 40 anyway) and the girl can really sing. I replayed each song she sang because she was really spot on. That said the first episodes got me. There were few clichés but bearable, the male lead was a total piece of trash and I got the second lead syndrome right away, because the second male lead just sparks with his weird vibe and charisma. Actually I think he would have been a better choice for first lead, their interactions were weird, funny and unusual. Then something changed. The ceo who couldn't remember his own password and mistakenly took other people's stuff, who was all flirty and easygoing (also kinda mysterious) became the boring third wheel of another damn triangle. The girl who told him he was weird, crazy and psycho just had a little tiny crush for some episodes and became all nice (I particularly liked the scene when ceo and the shady boss of the bar contracted her purchase because she has temper and she's not sexy and she just yelled things and run away lol it was so funny hahaha I laughed a lot also when the gangsters buried the ml and the fl run away after a call and forgot about him xD)
I love the interactions between Byul and both male lead, but more with Jang Joon. He was such an housewife lol
And that's all I think was memorable about this show. There were some pretty good inputs like the older unni, the gangsters who love trot misic and that assistant (I loved him in go back couple) but they just took the time they found and became flat and boring pretty fast. Also some characters (male leads in particular got a complete u turn in their personalities like if you watch the first episode and then the 10th you won't recognize them lol)
The premise of the father running away made no sense, especially because at some point she supposedly paid off the debt (we don't get to know much about it tbh), she just entered the company like that and boom. First single. Broadcast. Of course the other people thought she was a gold digger or smth. I don't feel like hating the second lead, even tho they won't really get punished (as usual it all ends up well even for the antagonists who just plotted and plotted against the protagonist)
It's like at some point they ran out of ideas and they just put into the cauldron every possible drama typical trope: amnesia, triangle, noble idiocy, bitchy female second leads, an old secret between the parents and so on. What a shame, really. This drama could have been a gem!

Ok honestly high school dramas are not my cup of tea, but I have to say I enjoyed this. We have the usual nosy, good hearted but not really good at studying female protagonist...we can say she's dumb, but I don't think that's the case, and I had a really good vibe from her mostly because she thinks carefully through stuff and she make her own decision (and probably the fact that she has low scores it's just because she's too busy being a teenager and having fun). I was kinda like her so maybe it's because I can relate to her character. The male lead, on the other hand, didn't gave me a special impression, it was just okay. The usual number one student with great ego and flirty personality and some dark family past. But if they wanted to use this as leverage to make us take pity on him, well he's nothing compared to the second lead, and here's my legendary second lead syndrome over Ji Soo's characters. Will he ever be able to get the girl? Only the time will tell xDFangirling aside, I always use as a meter of judgment for a good drama the message it contains and I have to say, in this is a pretty good one: I like how the guys didn't outcast completely Soo Ah despite her actions, they showed their humanity and tried to understand her instead of marking her as a villain and such. Basically I think it's more pleasant to have an antagonist who isn't like a disney villain, to see his/her backstory and having a reason for being that way. People are not good or bad, they just make bad or good choices and that leads them to become more or less evil. She is just a girl, and she suffered more than anyone for her bad decisions, so she's salvageable. Also the female lead always had the chance to humiliate her publicly and get revenge, instead she chose not to use this power she had over her to damage her. That's what this drama conveyed me and I think it's a good example to show to young people (we always forgot that those programs are meant to young people and that they're affected by everything they're surrounded, as the drama clearly shows us)
The only negative thought on this drama I have is that there are things not really well developed (like the issue with Dong jae just resolved itself in few minutes and his character isn't very explored) and some stuff like self harm, suicide, abusive parents, sexual harassment are treated a bit too lightly in my opinion. I would have kept the whole storyline more bright instead of putting in all that stuff and not develop them properly.

Also, I'm just expressing my opinion, I'm not dissing anyone, actors, writers or whatever.
I probably let some minor spoiler slip away, but I've seen only 17 eps so you know.
First of all a note: I know this story was written in 1992 but if they found the necessity to update the time in which the drama is set (a smartphone is the symbol of the main leads first encounter), why not updating or cutting some very very crappy scenes? There was a scene that I found very uncomfortable to watch, especially knowing at the end the two people will end falling in love to each other...I imagined them in a future married telling their friends "oh dear, do you remember when I almost punched you and I kissed you by force? Holy moly the good old times". I mean...no. Forcing yourself to a girl is not the best move... but okay I get it: he's spoiled, he's arrogant, he doesn't know what a "no" means and he doesn't know girls or love and he has some anger issues but still, times are changed, there's that #metoo stuff and are oversensitive about it... there are other ways to let the audience know he has those issues.
I honestly don't get why this and mischievous kiss (itazura na kiss) are so popular...why abusive rich brat x naive girl is so shipped?? Because I didn't felt any chemistry/romance vibe at all, I just wanted to beat up both of the main characters all the time.
The major element of my anger tho is the girl. She's supposed to be the typical anonymous girl with no breast (because that is widely emphasized LOL), naive, that find something good in everyone and everyone ends up falling for her (we have a record that is absurd even for dramaland tho...I counted at least 7 people who fallen or felt attraction to the girl!) and maybe (that's optional) with a bit of attitude - which she had, but just for three episodes. Then she declined to become the dumbest human alive. She just went with the flow every time, letting all sort of things (mostly bad) happen to her.
The worst thing is that she must have some sort of selective amnesia because she plays dumb about the guy's feelings even tho he clearly expressed the words "I like you" in her face and he kissed her (with consent). So what game you're playing girl? You don't like him but you like strolling around the world (they went on vacation like four times in 17 episodes) and she's not even intentionally toying with the guy so I felt like there was an error in the chronological order of the storyline (?). One minute they are a couple, the other minute they're back to square one. And repeat. And repeat
I liked the culinary competition and the fact they decided to gave her some ability! That was interesting and even if it was a bit cringey, the support of the male lead was cute.
The most interesting characters were the second fem lead, the chef guy and the chef girl. I enjoyed their storyline but they seemed a bit too mature for the standards of this show LOL the second male lead seemed a real zombie, he was so passive and everytime I watched him I tought of a sloth LOL
At the end I decided to surrender at episode 17, there's a limit on the quantity of shit I could've taken and if I am not enjoying, I don't see the point of watching it anymore. I was expecting a bit of renovation... more "based upon" than just "transcribed as it is" but okay, let's just say the leads really deserve each other xD

Disappointed, but loved the concept
I am so disappointed!! I really really really wanted this drama to be on my favourite list but they literally flushed away all the potential just to follow the same old crappy storyline after half (I didn't read the webtoon so I don't really know whose fault is xD)First of all, I liked the actors, especially the main girl, she did a great job portraying the unlucky side character (and if I found her "haruyaaa" annoying at some point I can only blame the lame script)
In the beginning I thought this was genial. The characters who basically break the 4th wall by becoming self aware and start a quest to set them free from their destined path. I'm totally sold! The really fact that is an invented universe and there is this "shadow" had the potential to make literally anything happen!
The very idea of "mocking" boys over flowers adds a cherry on top lol (because I despise that drama, sorry 🙈)
The most fascinating part was when the true character came out from Pre-established characters who are usually very flat. I wondered how they would be off the stage? The same? opposite? To me opened an universe of possibilities and questions: if they're able to think outside the storyboard did they became real? Are we all part of a bigger play? How they become self aware? Why there is the manhwa in the library?
Then appears this unnamed side character who somehow gets in the way and succeed (briefly tho) in what the fl constantly failed: changing the story (even tho it doesn't really makes sense...like when he put Dan Oh's watch to Se Mi and it worked (?) Like other times things just appeared from nowhere during the stage part, how exactly did he fool the writer? can he do this because he's a tiny extra? Or because his connection with other characters? We won't ever get the answers to these questions unfortunately 😅)
I don't despise the romance per se, but if it's going to be that repetitive and redundant, I'd rather leave it out, it's not like there wasn't anything to say here. Yes Haru is cute but what else? They really did a poor job with his characterization, Baek Kyung has a shitty set up and he's a jerk who can't apologize but at least he has something other than Dan Oh in his life.
And to be honest there was already a love drama between the "protagonists" of the manhwa going on, no need to add another shitty and draggy triangle.
Also, I really wanted Do Hwa to get the girl, he was really a superb character, really funny and honest he made me laugh every time (the fact the author only makes him play violin in front of Ju Da lol), but in the end she chose the hyper flat discount version of Jun-Pyo (his lines are only "my woman here, my woman there" gosh we got it you're the alpha uga uga)
The worst thing tho is that the lesson from this drama seems to be that no matter how much you try, you can't change your destiny - it may be true for illnesses somehow but it's really not a good morale to me 😔

This drama combined fantasy, mystery and romance very nicely! Time traveling is a really difficult trope because relativity can dig really big holes, but this show didn't fail and ended up to have his own uniqueness, even tho it has frequently used themes.
I really loved the male lead performance, he was able to differentiate the past and future self with only his acting, even tho they're the same character they are different and you can tell. There was also some hilarious parts (especially in the beginning) and some very romantic (the scene on the stair was very natural and I found myself giggling when she answered his confession through his past self.)
The mystery was good, I predicted some things (in part because of the op) but still really enjoyable, I didn't felt the urge to finish it (it happens frequently that I get bored in the second half of many dramas unfortunately)
Also no annoying music effects or jingles repeated infinitely, the opening song is quite good
