Drama with a college romance and a touch of fantasy, low budget.

Firstly, the plot is interesting: a mermaid-androgyn (FL) who chooses her sex according to the person to whom she gives her heart (once and for all). Having saved a handsome, cold, student (ML) from drowning, the mermaid's body gradually becomes more feminized. By chance, she finds herself in the same university, and the same apartment as her lover.

We find here all the clichés of mermaids: scales, one love in a lifetime, tears that turn into pearls, etc.
We also have all the clichés of gender dramas: the "I can't love a man", the ML2 who knows that FL is a girl at first glance, love rivals of all kinds.

The story is well written, the young actors are good, the production quite dynamic and the special effects of quality.
BUT
- the image quality is really bad for a 2019 series.
- the twists are really too obvious and everything is so predictable!

=> Nice series but nothing more.

Drama romance-universitaire-Fantasy petit budget.

Le plot est intéressant : sirène-androgyne (FL) qui choisit son sexe en fonction de la personne à qui elle donne son coeur (une fois pour toutes). Ayant sauvé de la noyade un jeune homme, beau, cold, étudiant, le corps de la sirène se féminise peu à peu. Par hasard, elle se retrouve dans la même université, et le même appartement que son lover.

On retrouve ici tous les clichés des sirènes : écailles, un seul amour dans une vie, larmes qui se transforment en perles, etc.
On a également tous les clichés des gender dramas : le "je ne peux pas aimer un homme", le ML2 qui sait que la FL est une fille au 1e regard, les rivaux amoureux en tous genres.

L'histoire est bien écrite, les jeunes acteurs sont bons, la réalisation assez dynamique et les effets spéciaux de qualité.
MAIS
- la qualité d'images est vraiment mauvaise pour une série de 2019.
- les ficelles sont un peu grosses et tout est tellement prévisible !

=> Sympa mais sans plus.

Catchy College-life-romance with excellent young actors.

Classic plot with the ML, cold scientist (borderline autistic) and the warm, playful, easy-to-contact FL. The context is within a university research laboratory on the brain-emotions link and the development of a robot-emotional companion.

The story is well built, the production quite dynamic, the OSTs are excellent (I'm still looking for the song in English that accompanies the OTP moments :). The secondary characters are well developed and endearing. I really like the CL2 which strays away from clichés a bit.

A few downsides:
- why do screenwriters love couples who had a childhood bond so much? Relationships are so compartmentalized in China, that without this link, you can't meet anyone?
- forgiveness, excessive indulgence for the people who betrayed you: this very moralizing message is not realistic... It's good to turn the other cheek, but there are limits to masochism!
- part of the drama revolves around a competition, but we end the series without knowing which place our favorite team got... FRUSTRATING!

=> fairly short drama and, if not memorable, allows for an enjoying time.

Rom-Univ accrocheur avec d'excellents jeunes acteurs.

Plot classique avec le ML scientifique froid (limite autiste) et la FL chaleureuse, enjouée, au contact facile. Le contexte se situe au sein d'un laboratoire universitaire de recherche sur le lien cerveau-émotions et la mise au point d'un robot-accompagnateur émotionnel.

La story est bien construite, la réalisation assez dynamique les OST sont excellentes (je suis toujours à la recherche de la chanson en anglais qui accompagnent les OTP :). Les personnages secondaires sont bien développés, attachants. J'aime beaucoup le CL2 qui sort un peu des clichés.

Quelques bémols :
- pourquoi les screenwriters aiment autant les couples qui ont eu un lien dans leur enfance ? Les relations sont si cloisonnées en Chine, que sans ce lien, tu ne peux rencontrer personne ?
- le pardon, l'indulgence excessive pour les gens qui t'ont trahi : ce message très moralisateur n'est pas réaliste... C'est bien de tendre l'autre joue, mais il y a des limites au masochisme !
- une partie du drama tourne autour d'une compétition, mais on termine la série sans savoir quelle place a obtenu notre équipe favorite... FRUSTRANT !

=> drama assez court et, s'il n'est pas mémorable, permet de passer un bon moment.

Unbearable. Sorry for the actors !

The humoristic tone and too obvious twists are unbearable for this romantic-historical drama with lots of fights and martial arts (abusive use of cables).

Could be entertaining if it was more subtle...

The story is incredible:
- woman/wife who wants to be independent (in the 21st century sense) to do business in pastry.
- rivals who are not discouraged even after marriage,
- unbridled behavior without any protocol or good manners (since it's whitin an aristocratic context, at the imperial court sometimes...)

In short, it quickly becomes unbearable.

Pourrait être divertissant si c'était plus subtil...
La story est invraisemblable :
- femme/épouse qui se veut indépendante (au sens XXIe siècle) pour faire du business dans la pâtisserie.
- rivales qui ne se découragent pas même après le mariage,
- comportement débridé sans aucun protocole ou formalisme

Bref, cela devient vite insupportable.

An unusual plot and production for a thaï drama, very dreamlike & aesthetic

Plot: 1 young fashion designer & 1 disillusioned actor/model communicate telepathically when it's raining. Over the years, they have forged a strong bond.

The production is subtle, very aesthetic, with a fairly slow pace, a touch of fantasy, romance, thriller and an immersion in the world of fashion and creation. Plot and production are unusual (very dreamlike, slow rhythm, few words, soft and adapted music) for a modern and mature Thai drama.

The actors (all of them but especially the 2 leads) demonstrate all their talent. KUDOS !

Plot et réalisation inhabituels (très onirique, rythme lent, peu de paroles, musique douce et adaptée) pour 1 thaï drama actuel et mature.
Plot :1 jeune créatrice de mode & 1 acteur/mannequin désabusé communiquent par télépathie quand il pleut. Au cours des années, ils ont tissé un lien fort.
La réalisation est subtile, très esthétique, avec un rythme assez lent, une pointe de Fantasy, de romance, de thriller et une immersion dans le monde de la mode et de la création.
Les acteurs (tous mais particulièrement les 2 leads) démontrent tout leur talent. BRAVO !

One of the best slap/kiss to date!

IN MY TOP 10 LAKORNS
I like this type of lakorn where the FL has a strong personnality. I hope she will keep it for the duration of the drama... And yes, even if it can be a little too much :)

Plot: Hate-love between 1 reporter (FL, fired from her job because of ML's deeds), and an arrogant heir (ML) with a girlfriend. The FL is friend with the ML's mother who is in a psychiatric hospital. This mother will do everything in her power to marry his son with the FL, despite the girfriend's tricks and schemes.

- The CL is bickering all the way. We get attached very quickly to these 2 leads, they are super talented.
- The story is less nice with FL2, an actress who always plays FL2 (rival/evil/sneaky) but impossible to sympathize with her character!! She is UNBEARABLE!! Selfish, arrogant, manipulative, vindictive, etc. UGHHHH.
- The mother character, on the other hand, is adorable. A little crazy, smart, very wise, and has humor :)

As usual in lakorns, the production includes long freeze frames on eyes and ubiquitous music.

DANS MON TOP 10 DES LAKORNS
J'aime ce type de lakorn où la FL a un fort caractère. J'espère qu'elle va le conserver sur la durée du drama... Et oui, même un peu trop :)

Plot : Hate entre 1 reporter (virée de son job à cause du ML, et un héritier arrogant avec une girlfriend. La FL est amie avec la mère du ML qui est en hôpital psychiatrique. Cette mère va tout faire en son pouvoir pour marier son fils avec la FL, malgré les tours et tricks de la girfriend.

- Le CL est bickering à fond. On s'attache très vite à ces 2 leads, hyper talentueux.
- La story est moins sympa avec la FL2, actrice qui joue tout le temps les FL2 (rivale/evil/sneaky) mais impossible de sympathiser avec son personnage !! Elle est INSUPPORTABLE !! Égoïste, arrogante, manipulatrice, revancharde, etc. GRRRRR
- Le personnage de la mère, par contre, est adorable. Un peu folle, intelligente, bonne psychologue, et avec de l'humour :)

Comme d'habitude dans les lakorns, la réalisation comporte de longs arrêts sur images sur les regards et une musique omniprésente.

A cute series on birth, hesitations, the progression of the 1st romantic relationship.

Plot: meeting at university between a shy/withdrawn and insecure medical student (FL), and 1 little math genius (ML) with an EQ (emotional quotient) = 0.

The story follows their university life, the friendships, the loves, the rivalries, the growing-up of this band of young people.

Very well played (I really like the ML whom I'm waiting to see again on screen) but, in the 2nd part, the rhythm becomes slow. That's a shame !

Série mignonne sur la naissance, les hésitations, la progression de la 1ere relation amoureuse.

Plot : rencontre à l'université entre 1 étudiante en médecine timide/effacée et en manque de confiance, et 1 petit génie des maths avec un EQ = 0.
La story retrace la vie universitaire, les amitiés, les amours, les rivalités, le growing-up de cette bande de jeunes.
Très bien joué (j'aime beaucoup le ML que j'attends de revoir) mais , en 2e partie, le rythme devient lent. Dommage !

A mini revenge series but without the mini's flaws

Watched on viki (mini, compacted in 8 ep.)

Very catchy historical drama (although I don't like the FL very much :( ) but the ML is TOP (Dai Gao Zheng = hot and intense) and ML2 is absolutely hateful.

Plot: The FL finds refuge in the governor's mansion, after her entire family has been killed. Her half-sister has usurped her place as ML2's fiancée, so the FL enters as a maid in an attempt to get revenge (on the governor, whom she believes is behind the massacre).

A very short format, but without the flaws of minis. Lively production, fairly well-developed characters... but a sad ending (I would have liked to see the ML, suffering and injured throughout the drama, enjoying a bit of happiness).

Drama historique très accrocheur (bien que je n'aime pas beaucoup la FL :( ) mais le ML est TOP (Dai Gao Zheng = hot et intense) et le ML2 est détestable à souhait.

Plot : la FL trouve refuge dans la maison du gouverneur, après que toute sa famille ait été tuée. Sa demi-soeur a usurpé sa place de fiancée du ML2, le FL entre donc comme domestique dans le but de se venger (du gouverneur, dont elle pense qu'il est à l'origine du massacre).

Format très court, mais sans les défauts des mini. Réalisation vive, personnages assez bien développés... mais fin triste (j'aurai aimé voir le ML, souffrant et blessé pendant tout le drama, profiter d'un peu de bonheur).

A little gem, don't mis it !!

Story of the Kokdu (god of death more or less Reaper) who comes to earth every 99 years, and finds his doctor (after reincarnation) lover, embroiled in a plot of corruption/medical shenanigans.

The story is remarkably well-written, played by very talented actors (Kim Jun Hyun is absolutely fantastic ❤❤❤), the special effects are TOP and the direction smart.

A little gem!!

L'histoire est remarquablement bien écrite, jouée par des acteurs très talentueux (Kim Jun Hyun est absolument fantastique ❤❤❤), les effets spéciaux sont TOP et la réalisation intelligente.

Easier to confide in a stranger

A really good movie, cute and bold, but which for once considers man/woman relationships in a realistic way, with an oh so cute Ji Sung!

A man depressed after his breakup, receives a sex call in the middle of the night (in fact intended for the FL's boyfriend). They will discover each other step by step and end up really loving each other.

Excellent directing, good OST and a lot of young actors who will become famous later...

Très bon film, cute et cru, mais qui envisage pour une fois les relations home-femme de façon réaliste, avec un Ji Sung craquant!

Un homme en dépression suite à sa rupture, reçoit un sex call en pleine nuit (en fait destiné au boyfriend de la FL). Ils vont se découvrir peu à peu et finir par s'aimer vraiment.

TB réalisation, bons OST et un tas de jeunes acteurs qui vont devenir célèbres ensuite...

Series that focuses on the evolution of couples and romantic relationships

Very nice short series (14 episodes) with Yoo In Na (FL) and Yoon Hyun Min (ML), both of whom I really like.

Plot: meeting between an editor and a radio host /dating consultant, around the purchase of a wedding ring (for their respective couples, which are going to ... break up). They will work together on a book, help each other, support each other in their breakups, and fall in love.

More than the main leads' romance (which only really works at the end), the story mainly deals with break-ups, evolution of couples, marital life, divorce (through the various annexed couples). It is told with intelligence, nuance and a bit of humor.
All the actors are excellent. We laugh with them, we cry, we want to slap the selfish ex, ...

Two characters, however, do not seem coherent to me: the ex of the ML who plays the victims while she was dating 2 men at the same time, and the very young employee in love at first sight with her boss who's 20 years older. This Puppy-love was really not essential here.

The production is dynamic, the neat framing and the OSTs are at the top <3 <3).

Très jolie série courte (14 épisodes) avec Yoo In Na (FL) et Yoon Hyun Min (ML), que j'aime beaucoup tous les deux.

Plot : rencontre entre un éditeur et une animatrice de radio-conseillère en dating, autour de l'achat d'une bague de mariage (pour leurs couples respectifs, qui vont ... rompre). Ils vont travailler ensemble sur un livre, s'aider, se soutenir dans leurs ruptures, et tomber amoureux.

Plus que la romance du CL (qui ne se concrétise vraiment qu'à la fin, l'histoire aborde surtout la rupture, l'évolution des couples, la vie maritale, le divorce (au travers des différents couples annexes). Elle est racontée avec intelligence, finesse et un peu d'humour.

Tous les acteurs sont excellents. On rit avec eux, on pleure, on a envie de gifler l'ex égoïste,...
Deux personnages cependant ne me semblent pas cohérents : l'ex du ML qui joue les victimes alors qu'elle sortait avec 2 hommes en même temps, et la toute jeune employée amoureuse au 1e regard de son patron qui a 20 ans de plus qu'elle. La puppy-love n'était vraiment pas indispensable ici.

La réalisation est dynamique, le cadrage soigné et les OST sont au top <3 <3).

Series very well played, produced, with an adaptation of the story to the Thai context.

This remake of "Another miss oh" is better tyhan the original (although I liked the original).

Here, the production is more dynamic, and the actors are exceptional!! Congratulations to the 2 leads for their performance!!

BUT some flaws :
- the ML2 actor is not up to his character. He is supposed to be very handsome, attractive. He is not. And besides, the character is a moron!
- the character of the therapist is completely wacky (charlatable, unprofessional, half-divine)! If this is the image of therapists in Thailand, I understand that patients are reluctant...

On the other hand, there are a lot of lines in French (almost understandable :) and the character of the mother is great.

Series very well played, produced, with an adaptation of the story to the Thai context.

Ici, la réalis° est plus dynamique, et les acteurs sont exceptionnels !! Bravo au 2 leads pour leur performance !!

MAIS quelques bémols :
- l'acteur du ML2 n'est pas à la hauteur de son personnage. Il est supposé être très beau, attractif. Il ne l'est pas. Et en plus, le personnage est un crétin !
- le personnage du psy est complètement farfelu (charlatant, pas professionnel, à moitié devin) ! Si c'est ça l'image du psy en Thaïlande, je comprends que les patients soient réticents...

Par contre, il y a beaucoup de lignes en français (presque compréhensible :) et le personnage de la mère est super.

Série très bien jouée, réalisée, avec une adaptation de la story au contexte Thaï.

It could have made a great drama with a better written story

I have quite mixed feelings about this series. I watched it because I really like the ML, Wang Zi Xi. For that, I don't regret anything, as usual, he is fantastic in this drama.

The plot is interesting:
The relationship between 1 FL (30aire lacking in confidence, without professional success, under the influence in her relationship with a calculating & dominant ML2) and her guardian angel (the ML) still in training. They live together and he does everything to make her happy, despite the misdeeds of an evil who wants to obtain omnipotence.

The special effects are of high quality, the dynamic production and the OSTs are very suitable.

BUT :
- the story is quite confusing, poorly written. The FL character (innocent and quite naive) is annoying at times. The multiple twists on the angel's future are boring.
- I don't like the CL (Wang Zi Xi, yes, but the 2 leads don't match and the chemistry doesn't work).

It could have made a great drama with a better written story (and another FL :)

J'ai un ressenti assez partagé sur cette série. J'y suis venue parce que j'aime beaucoup le ML, Wang Zi Xi. Pour cela, je ne regrette rien, comme d'habitude, il est fantastique dans ce drama.

Le plot est intéressant :
La relation entre 1 FL (30aire en manque de confiance, sans réussite professionnelle, sous emprise dans sa relation avec un ML2 calculateur & dominant) et son ange gardien (le ML) encore en formation. Ils cohabitent et il fait tout pour la rendre heureuse, malgré les méfaits d'un evil qui veut obtenir la toute-puissance.

Les effets spéciaux sont de qualité, la réalisation dynamique et les OST sont très adaptés.

MAIS :
- la story est assez confuse, mal écrite. Le personnage de la FL (innocente et assez naïve) est agaçant par moments. Les twists multiples sur l'avenir du gardien sont lassants.
- je n'apprécie pas le CL (Wang Zi Xi, oui, mais les 2 leads ne vont pas ensemble et l'alchimie ne fonctionne pas).

Cela aurait pu faire un grand drama avec une histoire mieux écrite (et une autre FL :)

Only for Push's or Ghypso's fans !

I admit that I came to this series for Push and it is well rated. However, I struggled to get to the end!

PLOT: meeting & cohabitation between 1 ML star more or less fallen out of favor (scandal) and 1 FL who wants to become a star without having any network or training. Ex-manager shenanigans, competition, lingering ex-girlfriend, etc. Construction of the FL's career with the ML's help.

BUT the usual flaws of the lakorns, are here brought to the maximum:
- unbearable comedy on the first 6-7 episodes (caricatural characters, screams, everything is overplayed, etc.). I know that Thai people like this kind of humor, but for me, it's really too much!!
- FL character not believable (I'm not questioning the talent of the actress Ghypsos, she was ordered to play that), but a super naive girl, who can neither sing, nor dance, nor act, and who wants to become a star :) :) :) She is gullible, trusts everyone,... Seriously ?
- always the same permanent music, too loud.

Fortunately, there is Push to support the many unbearable characters (so exaggerated that they are stereotypes, particularly the gay characters, who except the best friend of ML, play into typical gay men cliches).
The story is relatively well constructed, but the ending is a little disappointing as far as the CL is concerned. We would have liked to see them more.

J'avoue que je suis venue à cette série pour Push et qu'elle est bien notée. Pourtant, j'ai eu du mal à aller au bout !

PLOT : rencontre & cohabitation entre 1 ML star +/- déchu (scandale) et 1 FL qui veut devenir star sans avoir aucun réseau, ni apprentissage. Magouilles de l'ex-manager, concurrence, ex girlfriend persistante, etc. Construction de la carrière de la FL avec l'aide du ML.

MAIS les défauts habituels des lakorns, sont ici portés au maximum :
- comique de situation sur les 6-7 premiers épisodes insupportable (personnages caricaturaux, cris, tout est surjoué, etc.). Je sais que les thaï aiment ce genre d'humour, mais c'est vraiment too much !!
- personnage de la FL pas crédible (je ne remets pas en cause le talent de l'actrice Ghypsos, on lui a demandé de jouer ça), mais une fille super naïve, qui ne sait ni chanter, ni danser, ni jouer, et qui veut devenir une star :) :) :) Elle est crédule, fait confiance à tout le monde,... Sérieux ?
- toujours la musique permanente, trop forte.

Heureusement qu'il y a Push pour supporter les nombreux personnages insupportables (tellement exagérés qu'ils en sont caricaturaux, particulièrement les personnages gays, qui sauf le meilleur ami du ML, jouent "les grandes folles").
L'histoire est relativement bien construite, mais la fin est un peu décevante en ce qui concerne le CL. On aurait aimé en voir plus.

Short series (16 ep.) but breathtaking.

Same cast and same quality as "Mysterious love" (which I really liked, and not only for the ML visuals ;) with a good romance/suspense/action balance.

The realization is lively, the images and the framing are neat, the OSTs are modern (eng. lyrics) and pleasant. The chemistry within the CL is palpable, with interactions being natural (lots of kisses and skinship, as expected in a mature romance :). I'm more mixed about the FL, who looks older than the ML, who lacks micro-expressions and who I don't really like.

The plot is a bit "dramaland" but that passes: exchange of an heiress during an accident, with her twin-clone remained hidden since childhood. Search for the truth with the help of his bodyguard.

Même cast et même qualité que "Mysterious love" (que j'avais beaucoup aimé, et pas seulement pour les visuels du ML ;) avec un bon équilibre romance/suspense/action.

La réalisation est vive, les images et le cadrage sont soignés, les OST sont actuelles (eng.) et agréables. L'alchimie au sein du CL est palpable, avec des interactions sont naturelles (pas mal de kisses et de skinship, comme attendu dans une romance mature :). Par contre, je n'apprécie pas beaucoup la FL, qui fait plus âgée que le ML, qui manque de micro-expressions.

Le plot est un peu "dramaland" mais ça passe : échange d'une héritière lors d'un accident, avec sa jumelle-clone restée cachée depuis l'enfance. Recherche de la vérité avec l'aide de son bodyguard.

A pretty fable about trust, understanding in the couple

The story is well builded : 1 FL mangaka is going through a divorce with her (ML) editor husband. She draws a historical manga with a body swap between a cold, calculating and haughty king, and his main wife, whom he has ignored for 3 years. The body swap will allow them to see the other's point of view, to understand each other, to love each other and to settle internal and external issues.

Excellent actors, dynamic production (without length), very Comedy tone, "cute" OST (the classic type of OST found in all Chinese dramas to lighten the atmosphere :), a little boring after a while) . Lots of wired but well-choreographed action scenes (Chinese actors really have to go through intensive physical training to be able to pull off such performances!)

Nice series, not too long, not memorable either.

Une jolie fable sur la confiance, la compréhension dans le couple

Story construite de façon intelligente : 1 FL mangaka est en instance de divorce avec son mari (ML) éditeur. Elle dessine un manga historique avec body swap entre un roi froid, calculateur et hautain, et sa principale épouse, qu'il ignore depuis 3 ans. Le body swap va leur permettre de voir le point de vue de l'autre, de se comprendre, de s'aimer et de régler les pbs intérieurs et extérieurs.

Excellents acteurs, réalisation dynamique (sans longueur), ton très Comedy, OST "cute" (le type classique d'OST que l'on retrouve dans tous les dramas chinois pour alléger l'atmosphère :),un peu lassant à la longue) . Beaucoup de scènes d'action câblées mais bien chorégraphiées (les acteurs chinois doivent vraiment subir un entrainement physique intensif, pour être capables d'effectuer de telles performances !)

Série sympa, pas trop longue, pas mémorable non plus.
