After a lot of time and a lot of tears, I finally end this beauty. Seriously, if you don't watch the Reply Series, you need to begin now. I'll not give any spoilers here about the main couple, but all I have to say about this is that I didn't cheer wrongly this time, and I was always hoping that the couple was exactly that. Not even for a second I cheered for the rejected one.

I'll start talking about my favorite character, Seong Deok Seon (Lee Hye Ri). Lee Hye Ri it's an incredible actress, and I'm very happy that she had the opportunity to shine again recently with "My Roommate Is A Gumiho", but Deok Seon is my favorite female lead these days. The charming of this character to me is to see how Deok Seon represents the most part of the teenage girls that lived in the 80/90's. Her strength and kindness were touching so many times that made me think about many things that I do in my life and the way how I see my youth. This girl will be unforgettable.

All the boys were also amazing, but I have to emphasize my Master Choi (Park Bo Gum), that started as a moron but turns out into the most incredible guy, with great strength and maturity that made me cry and smile all the time. Seon Woo (Go Kyung Pyo) was the bomb that I was expecting would explode, but nothing happened. His personality seems quite repressed for me, even more than Taek sometimes, and I wish could see a little explosion there. The same for Dong Ryong (Lee Dong Hwi), which clearly acted as a support role between the friends, which we can see even in the appearance of his parents. He was so fun and necessary sometimes, that I felt his character was a little wronged. And, of course, my major frustration here, the moron Kim Jung Hwan (Ryu Joon Yeol) - yes, I'm still enraged -. Guys, seriously... I wanted to root for this guy, but every time he disappointed me with his double actions, and uncertainness... His speech in the penultimate episode was the synopsis of his attitude, and that drove me crazy. I understand the motive, but at the same time it isn't justifiable for me. The ring scene... oh my gosh...

This show is far away beyond romance, and I remember a lot of "Go Ahead". See the interactions between the families and friends and how the things going on was incredible and each character marked me in a certain way. I wouldn't take off anything from this, it was everything perfect. To say something bad, I just made the episodes a little shorter because some had almost 2 hours, and it was a little hard to keep up the rhythm, but if you like big dramas, you gonna love it.

This one is another chosen one for me (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★★★). This drama will give all kinds of emotions to you and any second will be worth it. I have to say that, even being better produced and more elaborated, the 1997 is still my favorite one :D

This is not a simple romance.

If you are looking for something fairytale-ish or you're watching "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" and thought that this film would be the candy that you need in your life... I'm sorry. THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE! That's said, let's beginning.

"Sweet and Sour" tells the love story of Jeong Da Eun (Chae Soo Bin), a nurse that works very hard but found out the sweetness in the little things of her life. One of them is Jang Hyuk (Jang Ki Yong), her boyfriend who loves her pretty much. After getting a promotion in his job, Jang Hyuk needed to move to Incheon, and there he meet Han Bo Yeong (Crystal), an ambitious woman who will mess up his head. When I started the movie, I was pretty sure that it will be a lovely story about pure love and hold on tight in your conviction, but it turns out very different. I won't give spoilers here, but I'll try to describe what I think this movie is really about.

I saw many people saying that the story was superficial and nonsense, but I think that everything was made to be that way. The superficiality was what we need to develop the characters in our mind, and give to them the burden that we thought was right. We made deductions following the formula of the perfect romance, and then the end comes and punches our face.

I think this movie was made to show that the life in fact isn't just sweet, that we have sour things that cross by, and it that. The frustration that I experienced was based on my own expectations and my idea of perfection. I wanted to see perfection in a relationship that wasn't perfect at all. This made me think a lot that we really only see what we wanna see.

For me, this movie was a pretty good one (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★). It wasn't the best script in some moments or the best edition either, but the idea was very good. If you are looking for a simple romance, stay away from this.

See you soon,
Mari.

I'm the girl of k-dramas, so you don't see a lot of other dramas here on my profile, but I saw a lot of posts about "Go ahead" and this made me very curious about the show. I have to say that I do not regret it at all. What a drama!

I was very excited about the first episodes, and this was kept until episode 20. The plot was full of twists and emotional stuff, but I felt that in the middle of the process the things started to get a little slow. I took a little time to finished this mostly because I was watching with a friend, but also because I wasn't so motivated to go on sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I really love the story and the most of the characters, but I think I was on a path with many crazy and different dramas, so a regular story didn't catch so strongly. That said, I thought this drama very strong and deep, and I cried a lot with the pain in the character's life. I could see a lot of my struggles with my parents being approaching in the show and this was very intense. The message about family bonds just can make you melt with just a few episodes.

About the actors and characters, as I said on my first impressions, Li Jian Jian (Seven Tan) still is my favorite here. The character of Li Jian Jian was the soul of this drama, no doubt about it. She was so intense and soft at the same time, and Seven Tan's performance was just amazing. He Zi Qiu (Steven Zhang) also captivate my heart. He was so troubled with the issues in his life and we could see everything in his eyes and attitudes. But about Ling Xiao (Song Wei Long) I have to say that I wasn't a fan at all. I know his personality was shy and more introspective than the other brothers, but I thought him a little tasteless sometimes. His expressions and lines aren't my favorites and I thought some actions a little forced too. I understand the concept of the character (the mental health and stuff), but I think that this could be more explored in the performance. I could understand the growing romance between him and her, but I couldn't feel this in the process. I don't know if I'm being clear, but my feelings about it are a little confusing for me too. The plot of the secondary characters also was very emotional, and I could feel a lot of things with them. I just thought that the problems that endure during all the drama just was solved too fast at the end. Maybe the most critical part here was the pace of the show.

In general, I really love the drama. The story it's very different than usual and makes you think a lot about your life and choices. I just think that if they made fewer episodes, the process would be better for keeping the audience. I will put this one as "amazing" (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) because it was pretty amazing for me, besides these topics that I mentioned. If you are looking for something strong and deep, but that also can make you laugh and sigh, this is your show!

I really thought about what I should write about this drama. I'm a little confused about my feelings about this one, but I'll try my best to explain my point of view. You can read my first impressions here: [https://mydramalist.com/profile/8270201/feeds/Wl2mrC3] So, I'll go straight to my opinions.

I'm not talking about each character separately because I don't think this is necessary. And this is the first thing that I have to complain about. I wasn't interested in the second plot between the love triangle at all. I really was hoping that Na Ji Na ends up by herself because either Lee Hyun Gyu or Cha Joo Ik was just tasteless and even pathetic for me. I'm sorry for the ones that love this plot, but I really skipped most part of the dialogues because I just couldn't stand it. Joo Ik wasn't a childlike Hyun Gyu, but he also wasn't so amazing. The lines were confusing and sometimes just boring. Sadly I don't was captivated by these guys, and I said sadly because they occupied a big part of the episodes, mostly the last ones.

So what captivated me? Dong Kyung and Sa Ram. The chemistry between Park Bo Young and Seo In Guk was amazing and was the main reason for me to finish this drama. So why am I frustrated? Because I know that this story could be a lot better. When you start a drama with a sad premise you only have two options: or you follow the sadness and do it worse, or you surprise the audience with a big twist. My problem is that "Doom at your service" stuck in the middle of this. I see many people comparing this drama with "Goblin", but this is the perfect example of what I said. "Goblin" went to the edge of sadness and delivered an incredibly bittersweet ending, but here we had a bunch of things that weren't explained or were justified in a poorly way.

I know the hype is pretty high with this drama, and I was also pretty excited when I started, but if you watch a lot of dramas, mainly fantasy dramas, you will agree that something was lacking here. I wanted more "logic" in some explanations and more clarity. The dialogs were pretty deep (between the main couple and the main couple plus God), but the events didn't follow this deepness.

Sadly, I'll put this as a "good one" (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★/2). It worthed watch the cuteness of the main couple and some parts of the plot, especially in the first episodes, but I'm with the feeling that this could be much more.

See you soon!
Mari.

After my excitement with "Mouse", this pretty thing came to fulfill my heart with thriller, fear, and amusement. This drama is my Korean "Black Mirror", and I just loved it! You can see my first impressions here: https://mydramalist.com/profile/8270201/feeds/RzYdBCP

I had a good feeling about this drama and I was right. The plot was pretty incredible and I have just some little things to point, but in totality, this experience blew my mind.

About the performance, I don't have a complaint about any actor. Maybe just a little frustration about the character of Judge Oh Jin Joo (Kim Jae Kyung), because I really wanted to see her more active in the plot, and making some difference, but turns out that her character was tasteless and even disposable sometimes. But the others... Oh my gosh. I loved Judge Kim Ga On and his duality, the way how we could see his struggle to do the "right thing" and how he was slowly involved with Yo Han's personality. Soo Hyun and her strongness, and at the same time her devotion to Ga On... And of course, my psycho queen, Jung Sun Ah. Really, Kim Min Jung is just amazing. I will watch "Mr. Sunshine" just to see her again. I have nothing to say about the performance of Ji Sung, besides he was simply incredible. He is one of the best actors in actuality to me, no doubts. But... I have to say that I expected a little more ambiguity in Kang Yo Han. In the first episodes we really feel unsure about him and everything, but with the process, his character kinda loose a little of that and it is almost predictable. In episode eight I started to figure out some things and wasn't took long to suppose the answer to the fire's mystery, and I think if they put Yo Han a little more ambiguous, this wouldn't happen. Another character that was changed in the process was the President. He was clearly a moron in the beginning, but start to change and this was a little sudden to me. But I'm saying that just to say something bad because I loved Yo Han and loved the entire plot.

This is a drama that will put you to think about society and about your choices in life. I like a lot of philosophy, so this kind of discussion about justice and rights really excites me, because it's always a current question. If you like this kind of drama and if you want to freak out without knowing how things will end, this is for you. I'll put this as an amazing almost chosen one (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★/2) just because of the little things that I mentioned about the change in the characters, but still is a great show and worth your time for sure.

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

I was in such a good vibe with my picks these days, but this one came to ruin this vibe strongly. "Twilight" never seemed so different.

Until episode five, I was understanding the process and enjoying it a little beat, even with the lame effects, but, after that, I just was frustrated. The premise to turn the vampire theme into a scientific theme was interesting to me, but they didn't know how to put this on the script. It was too much unnecessary information and this made the story get boring. The outcome was also unlogic, to say with kindness. Nothing, in the end, makes sense to me, especially al the twists that we have (no spoilers). I felt like anything happened until episode 14, and then BOOM. The writers just got crazy and incorporate Tarantino.

The characters were also pretty superficial. I love Ahn Jae Hyun, but Park Ji Sang was a terrible role. I understand the vampire vibe, with introspection and toughness, but for me, he was just unbearable. The feelings for Yoo Ri Ta (Gu Hye Seon) showed up from nowhere and didn't convince me. I know about the past and the connection with this, but it was not enough to make a good bond. They were cute together, but the script wasn't in their favor. About Yoo Ri Ta, I like her personality, but since Ji Sang was so tasteless, she was fade out into the mess of the information and terrible relations established between everyone. I won't even talk about Jung Hae In's character because this pissed me off. The only character for me that made an excellent job was the director Lee Jae Wook (Ji Jin Hee). This villain made me crazy in anger, and I think that this is the job of a good villain. His end was also ridiculous considering his journey, but this happened with everyone because was a ridiculous end.

I think that this is my lowest note since I started to write this kind of review, but... For me, it was a wasting of time (★ ★ ). I saw a lot of bad reviews here, but I saw a few with high scores... I don't know how this can be, but this shows to me that nothing is definitive, including my opinion. I'm just exposing my point of view, but maybe you could have another opinion about it. If you didn't watch it, and you think that your taste seems like mine, keep it that way. But if you want to confirm, go ahead.

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

Finally, I could watch a "Viki original". I think the best thing that I've made was to sign the Viki Pass Plus. Because of the dollar, this has been very expensive for me, but it was a good investment, only that way I could watch productions like this one and also support these projects.

After "Flower of evil", I started to look for some dramas with tension and action, and this is a good example of this. The story of "Lie after lie" is so absurd that makes you attached from the beginning. The ups and downs in the process made me so upset and immerse that I need to take a break in many episodes because I just couldn't stand the tension. The way how the things were resolved also was very instigating, and the few things that I thought a little off weren't related to the plot, but with the involvement of some characters, what I'll describe in the next paragraph. The ending also wasn't so remarkable for me. I think everyone knows that they will put a big twist in the final episodes to explain all the process between Kim Ho Ran and Ji Eun Soo, and this was what happened, but I guess that all the process was so intense that in the end, the plot twist was just too soft. It was unexpected and exciting to me, but it didn't make me vibrate in surprise.

Well, the actors! Ji Eun Soo (Lee Yoo Ri) was a little annoying to me. It was my first time seeing a drama with Lee Yoo Ri (and I guess that will be my last one, considering her age and the preferences of this industry), and I thought her lovely. Her expressions, voice, eyes... Everything was so cute and fragile, and this was my major issue. The character of Ji Eun Soo, from my perspective, needed to be a strong and suffering character. I could see the suffering of the crying, but I always saw Ji Eun Soo as a fragile woman, and this got worse when she started to get close with Jin Min (Yeon Jung Hoon). I know she was a fragile woman, who was hurt so much by many people and circumstances, but after pass 10 years in jail, faced so many evil by Kim Ho Ran (Lee Il Hwa), she could show to us a little more intensity, and every time that I saw her I just couldn't feel the weight of all these problems. The chemistry with Kang Jin Min (Yeon Jung Hoon) also doesn't make me flutter. I thought them cute sometimes, but in a couple of moments, I just felt like they were too forced. Besides that, Yeon Jung Hoon was pretty good as a reporter and dad, I really enjoy his character in the process. The high point for me was Lee Il Hwa as Kim Ho Ran. Oh my gosh, I hated this woman so much! I think that a good actor needs to pass this feeling to the audience, and she seriously did this. Go Na Hee as Kang Woo Joo also did a great job! I like so much to see little actors and actresses doing so well on this path... I hope that she receives a lot of opportunities.

I enjoy all the process of this drama, and the little things that disturbed me don't enough to fade with all the great processes. Because of this, I'll put this like a PRETTY GOOD ONE! (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) If you are looking for something thrilling and full of conspiration and twists, go for it!

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

I'm trying to understand why I never heard about this drama before. This excites me because now I know that I can find a lot of good dramas hide on many platforms. I saw some reviews about this show and don't understand why people thought it so bad. "The bride of Habaek" isn't a masterpiece, but is pretty good entertainment.

Like I said before, I don't like fantasy very much. I can watch it but isn't my favorite gender. I think that this made me keep my expectations low and watch the drama without think that I will watch a major production. The story was interesting and made me keep following the process with anxious, this is enough to me.

The actors didn't impress me much, but about Nam Joo-hyuk (as Habaek) I have to say that I was impressed. I just finished "Weightlifting fairy, Kim Bok-joo" and see him in such a different character was very fun. He is really acting like a god until the ending and I liked a lot of his performance. Honorable mention to the kiss in episode fourteen, OMG! Take my breath away! And I never saw in any video of kiss compilation, that's absurd! haha

I'm getting used to bittersweet endings, but still let a sour taste on my mouth... I thought that they could make the ending with more elaboration, I felt that they waste much time with some unnecessary scenes and ended up rushing things to close the plot. But everything was closed, so I can complain about it, just would like to see the resolution with more details.

Anyway, I thought this a good drama for pastime if you're up to fantasy and stuff like that. Already missing Habaek waiting for me on the wall :D

After a lot of tears and procrastination, I finally ended this deep, painful, but also breathtaking adult drama. If you didn't see my first impressions, go for it here: https://mydramalist.com/profile/8270201/feeds/dKJ6jFB

First of all, I have to say this is not a drama for those who seek a simple and beautiful love story. As I said, this drama has an intense plot that makes you think a lot about expectations, bonds, and what is love indeed. We have the main plot, which is pretty good, but what brought me down was the side stories, which also have the same intent to show love in different ways. I'll emphasize here the plot of Jeon Mi Suk (Park Hyo Joo) and Kwak Soo Ho (Yoon Na Moo), with a story that starts with no pretensions but catch us in the process and was responsible for all my tears in the end. The way how these two interact and grow each episode is just impressive. The parents of Young Eun (Song Hye Kye[o) were also an enormous surprise for me. I could feel the despair of Kang Jung Ja (Nam Ki Ae) and the way how this mixed up with the story of her daughter was very emotional. Seok Do Hoon (Kim Joo Heon) and Hwang Chi Sook (Choi Hee Seo) were a big promise, but their story was pretty affected by the low point that I'll mention in a minute.

The main couple has chemistry, but not so much as I expected. Jang Ki Yong is very expressive and I think this was a big contrast with the limited expressions of Hye Kyo. I said I don't like her acting, and here I could see for sure why. This doesn't ruin the entire connection but is a big problem if you wanna finish the drama soon. I paused because there weren't any new episodes, and this made me discourage a little bit. Another low point was the script. I didn't understand some lines and had the feeling that they wanted so badly to make a poetic and deep script that they lose a hand in the process, making things confusing sometimes. In my opinion, Chi Sook and Do Hoon were the most affected by this. I had to come back in a few scenes to understand the decisions and scenes of these two many times because didn't make sense. Which was a shame because these two were so cute together!

I'll give a "good one" place for it (★★★★★★★) because I really think this is a drama that talks about love with reality and beauty, without limitate choices or absurd deliveries of who you are just because you are in love. Is an adult drama that will teach you a couple of lessons, maybe not with so much fun, but developing a lot of deep thoughts.

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

Before my considerations, I have to say that I'm happy that many things change since I made my first impressions. I'm glad that Kim Seon Ho could clarify the story that was leaked in such a careless way, but sad because the damage that this brought to him and to his ex-girlfriend is unmeasurable. A problem happened, people were hurt, and this impacted both of them. I'm cheering for Kim Seon Ho's recovery and really expect that this is the justice that many people (including me) were looking for. If you didn't read my first impressions, go for it: https://mydramalist.com/profile/8270201/feeds/47jqBiA.

If you are looking for a healing and soft drama, this was made for you. "Hometown Cha Cha Cha" has the cliché that we love so much in Dramaland and also a mature story for the ones who are tired of childish characters. I loved Hye Jin! At the first sight, I thought that I would hate her personality, but with the pass of the episodes, we can see a peculiar way that we don't see in many female leads. She is apparently superficial, but actually has a unique way to see the people and the world. The thing I loved the most about her was her facility to ask for forgiveness. We don't see this in many main characters. Shin Min Ah is so cute and so femme fatale at the same time! I love her since "My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho" and now is just another character of her that I really appreciate. Doo Shik was also pretty good to me, but I wanted a little more deepness in his character. His background was built with so much expectation, and I had the feeling that everything was solved too easily. Kim Seon Ho's great performance in cuteness is undeniably good, but I think that he shines better when it becomes deep drama. I hope that his next projects explore this.

The side characters were also pretty good. The story of Young Guk and Hwa Jeong made me melt into tears. Eun Chul and Mi Seon not so much. Ji Sung Hyun was the second lead that we love until the end, without craziness, evilness, and nothing that makes us angry. I cheer for him until the last second, not with Hye Jin, but with the OBVIOUS CHOICE (right???).

I'll give the position of pretty good to this one (★ ★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★ ). It is a drama that will warm your heart and make you feel light and peaceful.

XOXO, Mari.

I didn't expect much logic or veracity in this show. Since the beginning, we can tell that the script isn't the most elaborated in Dramaland, but it kinda surprises me at certain points. I really figure out about the killer and the brother in episode two, but that wasn't the main question of the show, at least that was what I felt.

The relations between the characters and motivation of each one actually were the goal here. The reason behind the murders, the reason behind the emotional issues... I think this was a drama that tried to made a deep plot but was limited by a low budget (I suppose) and a poor script.

I wanted that they explore more the duality of the character and put the audience to really doubt everyone. But when you started to see the things showing up, the mystery turns quite obvious. Somethings really bothered me, as the police station where anyone can do whatever they want (including fraud and case's covering) and don't get punished, or just receiving a scold. The many cases crossing over the main plot were also a little forced to me, and sometimes I had to go back to understand the connection because there were many. It wasn't the greater performance of my oppa Seo In Guk either, but I could feel that was a direction choice because his character was pretty stereotypical. The script was really a problem to me, and seeing that was the same screenwriter of "Suspicious Partner", I can get that. The idea was good, but the development was frustrating, catching you by the curiosity and not for the involvement.

I won't complain about the few romantic scenes because this wasn't the point of the drama, but already complaining... Why not a few more scenes between these two? I think that is the curse of noona romance, where the producers and actors don't wanna expose the actress... It's a shame because the chemistry between them was great.

The highlight for me was the performance of Park Bo Gum, because I always saw him as the good boy and here I really had chills seeing his cold smile. It's not for nothing that he received two awards because of this character, it was a good job.

I'll put this one as an "I expected more, but okay" (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) because I could watch until the end and I could enjoy until a certain point.

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

A cotton candy drama to the broken heart

What will I say of this piece of sugar with honey? This drama came to make your heart flutter and give you the false hope of being in love with a supernatural rich, sexy, and handsome fox. It's the perfect call to the ones who don't wanna suffer or get angry. It's the cotton candy of 2021 Dramaland.

I'll start with the amazing performance of our stars. Lee Hye Ri is a pearl and to see her on the screen it's always fun and different. Lee Dam was an amazing character, and for me was the gold of this show. I love strong female leads and the ones who don't follow the pattern of the suffering lady. This totally matches with Shin Woo Yeo's personality. I was afraid that he could be the kind of male lead always rigid and with the overprotected speech, but his personality was pretty good and solid, and Jang Ki Yong keeps impressing me with his skills. The chemistry between these two was incredible, and I forgot that Hye Ri had a boyfriend many times watching the bts.

Other highlight was my cute couple Hye Sun and Jae Jin. My gosh, these two kill it! Kang Ha Na was amazing in "Start-Up", but now I could see even more how good she is, and I hope that she gets another drama soon as the female lead. Hye Sun was so fun and light, and I laugh a lot at her foolishness. Her friendship with Woo Yeo was also an amazing thing and I loved to see them together fighting all the time. Kim Do Wan is a baby and this character was made for him. I created the fanfic inside my head since "Start-Up", so this was my dream coming true. Bae In Hyuk is another baby since "Kiss Goblin", but this character was just terrible and I felt nauseated every time that I saw that moron sunbae appearing.

Amazing things said, I will point some not-so-good stuff. The first episode was very interesting, and I was excited to see the main plot developing, and the way how they do the waiting part was incredible, but... The waiting never ended. I thought all the problems that the drama presented were very superficial and sometimes even illogical. Episode 12 was the lowest point for me and give me the feeling of "Why this is a problem? If is a problem, why was solutioned so fast?" and this kind of thought. It wasn't terrible, it was just frustrating if you are a person who is used to watch many dramas.

I will put this one as a pretty good one (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) because I really think that an initiating drama addicted will think this incredible, and a more experienced will find it at least fun and well done. I hope the best to the actors and I will highly recommend this one to my friends who are entering now in Dramaland.

The most lovely cliche ever

Guys, I'm just in love. That's all. I love soft dramas, with comedy and romance enough to make you recover your energy after the tense ones, and this drama is just the cutest thing in the entire world! I gave the synopsis in the first impressions, so you can go there to see what I said. Let's to the characters!

LOUIE, THE BABY WHO WILL STOLE YOUR HEART

The character of Louie isn't the kind that attracts me. When I saw the first episode, I thought "There we go again with another Gu Jun Pyo", but how wrong I was! You will think that Louie is a shameless profiteer that only gets headaches to Bok Sil, but when we immerse in his story and start to see how kind and sweet he is, you just go with Bok Sil and get down for this baby. Seo In Guk is just amazing and I have to say again: I can't believe that he is acting in "Doom at your service" with so many different. I saw episode twelve today and thought "Where is my baby Louie?". I IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN! I'm watching "King of High School" now, so wait for more of this great actor here.

BOK SIL, THE WONDER WOMAN

As I said, Ji Hyun isn't my favorite actress, but this character is far away better than "Suspicious Partner". Go Bok Sil is a clichê (as many things in this drama), but she does her job and delivery the sweetness and innocence in the right measure. The chemistry between her and In Guk is also pretty good and I smiled a lot watching these two. I cleaned my mind so I can follow Ji Hyun in her next characters without any ghost, yay!

There were a lot of interesting characters in this drama, but as a cliche, they weren't very deep. I will make a notification here to register my pain every time that I saw a "Ma Ri" in a drama. Why every Ma Ri is annoying? Please, someone, create an amazing Ma Ri character! For me! T_T Let's move on.

If you don't like cliches, this drama isn't for you. We have everything and more here. Chaebol, memory loss, gentle/strong female lead, conspiration... And the big one that I will tell in the comments, with spoiler (which was my only low point in this drama). This drama is pretty funny, from the edition until the script. The cuteness is something that you won't be able to handle (I'm watching repeatedly the red carpet scene and I'm exactly like the ahjumma and In Sung). If you wanna something fun and cute, just watch it. And you're welcome. Honorable mention here to the OST. Only amazing songs!

It's an AMAZING ONE (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★★/2) just not CHOSEN ONE because of what I will say in the spoiler below. I'm crying already missing my precious!

As I always say, the expectation is the enemy of the process. I started this show with high expectations, but I have to say that I am a little frustrated now. Now I could understand the reviews and critics that I saw before and I'll explain why I can agree with some of them.

The beginning of the show was rushed and somethings just weren't explained. I was hoping that with the following episodes this could be resolved, but it was the opposite. The dialogs and plots just get more and more superficial and confusing. I will talk about each character and the high and low points of each one.

About Moo Myung/Kim Sun Woo/Dog-bird, or as I like to call him, my husband, LOL. I love Park Seo Joon and I think that he is a great actor, but the script didn't make a good job to exalt his character. Sun Woo had everything to be the kind of character that takes your breath away, but sometimes I thought that he could be summed in two sentences: "I gonna kill the king!" and "I will protect Ah Ro!". He was so strong and important, they could make an amazing plot! Ah Ro (Go Ah Ra) was deceived as a female lead. I really don't like female leads that play the helpless maiden, and this is all we can see of Ah Ro in the entire show. They put some lines that talk about her "strongness", but this didn't match with the things that she did. They summed her in a potato bag to Sun Woo, that he had to protect, and kill the king... I will talk a little about the rest of the boyband: Sam Maek Jong/Kim Ji Dwi (Park Hyung Shik) was the promise that never happens. Started with strength and charism, but in the process, I couldn't tell if he was weak, or if he was scared, and then he just gets courage... It was very inconstant. Park Ban Ryu (Do Ji Han) had a big idea at first, that he just hold with all his strength, but then, in just an episode, everything blows up and he changes everything, I really didn't get it! I was like "ok, why you didn't this earlier?". Suk Han Sung (V): Weak, fearful, funny, in all the 17 episodes, then... BOOM! He did something totally unexpected that made me stay awake all night because my anger didn't let me sleep.

I noticed now that I was more disappointed than I thought. But I think it's because the big problem here was the script. They had amazing actors (and by amazing I wanna mean AMAZINGLY HANDSOME too), an interesting story, the main couple with chemistry... But they ruined everything with terrible dialogs, URGH! Sometimes I wanted to slap my own face to forgot the ridiculous lines of Poog Wol Joo (Sung Dong Il) with diarrhea or the no sense dialogs between Ah Ro and Sun Woo.

I almost forgot to mentioned Seo Ye Ji (Princess Sook Myung) and this was because her character was totally unnecessary. When I saw her as a badass princess I thought "WOW, THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD", but then... nothing. She does nothing. Exists for nothing in the story. I'm trying to understand why they put this character with an actress like Seo Ye Ji if they didn't want to explore this.

So, I'll be VERY generous here because I love the bromance between the Hwarangs, but this doesn't sustain a badly written story. For the bromance, and the OST singed by Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Shik (I LOVED IT), I'll put one more star on my review and say that "I expected more, but okay" (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★).

I'm very upset because I really wanted to love this drama. Tomorrow we gonna have the "first impression" of "Tale of the Nine-tailed", wait for it!

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

This plot catches me strongly. Seeing the persistence and determination of Ko Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) and Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) I was involved with the story and started to cheer for them. The story was consistent until the end and I love this. I'm very happy that I didn't handle the usual "couple problems" of the most part of the rom-com. The problems were on another level and everything was surprising and very emotional. As I said, I had some unknown feelings about Baek Seol Hee (Song Ha Yoon) and Kim Joo Man (Ahn Jae Hong), and this was revealed in a few episodes later... I loved the fact that Seol Hee didn't follow the cliché of the "regular girl" that pass through a makeover and then finds herself. She didn't need a new appearance, just a new path and self reveal, very amazing! About Joo Man... I didn't enjoy his acts, but also I could see a human doing human things. He wasn't a prince, just a regular guy, and this is also cool to show in a drama.

I have to say that the OST was the high point for me here. Amazing songs in the right moments! The edition also capt my attention, it was very fun!
