Could Have Been Great Until It Wasn’t

I want to love this drama. Truthfully I loved it from th get go until episode 17. Despite Li Zi’s annoying personality during these episodes I prevailed with the hope that Cheng Yizhi’s love and full devotion to her would change her which sure it happens in the future towards the end, but like the whole abortion/ miscarriage thing was unnecessary. Also her not being able to have children again (kind of deserved it). I don’t care if my opinion is unpopular but I can’t believe for a second she didn’t even take a second to think about her actions before going to get the procedure. Even if it had just been that I could have maybe looked pass it, but to then go and throw divorce at Cheng Yizhi who has been entirely devoted to her despite all the hurt she has caused him. She is an undeserving character in these episodes and most likely the reason that I will drop this drama. Like I said I want to keep watching it because up to here it was a 10/10, but I’m not sure if I can put up with the annoying FL.

Don’t waste your time on this!

I’ve had this drama on my watching list for a long time. So much so that I have finished many dramas while simultaneously watching this one. Many of these other dramas were airing at the time. If I can estimate how long it took me to finally complete this it was about two to three months. Fir me it was just okay until episode 15 from there on it was messy and nonsensical so for a lot of the time I would actually find myself skipping through the episodes. Hobestly I really wanted to give it a chance and not drop it which is why I kept it going until I finally finished it. I usually have at least something good to say about the dramas I watch even if they sucked, but this one was bad as a whole. The story was bad, the characters were difficult to get attached with. The music score was meh. And I could continue to go on and on about how bad everything was executed. So my recommendation to you who is considering watching this… Don’t bother. It’s not worth it. China has produced many awesome dramas but this is not one of them.

I Was Extremely Let Down

I usually can tell when a drama is going to be a disaster pretty early on and that usually leads to either me skipping a lot of useless scenes in my opinion or going to see how it ends. Typically this only happens with this genre of dramas though. I have to give it to the creators of Beauty of Resilience they outdid themselves making one believe the entire time that the drama will somehow end well. However just when you think things might be getting better at last it gets worse. Listen I truly hate Romeo and Juliet like stories, and yet I can at least manage to understand them, but in this drama we get Wei Zhi falling in love with Yan Yue despite him murdering her in her previous life, then “attempt” it again, but finally let her live. Yet maybe when we think they’re finally going to get together and fix their issues instead we get the Heavenly Emperor going completely nuts and literally murdering/ destroying every important character save for Wei Zhi and Yan Yue. But if this makes you think that maybe at least they get a happy ending think again. Whatever was that ending I honestly have no idea what happened. The egg became a Phoenix and flew but Yan Yue and Wei Zhi were missing or something. I honestly don’t know I want to say I like this drama but that ending was awful. Those last few episodes were excruciating trash.
