they make it.

This is a list of my favorite directors, producers, writers and staff, without them there would be no masterpieces.

  • Kim Sung Soo

    Sul-coreano

Directed Save Me, which is one of my absolute favorites! Everything made the perfect scary thriller.

  • Choi Joon Bae

    Sul-coreano

His work with the cinematography in Come and Hug Me is amazing. The scene where Na Moo and Nak Won is looking at eachother with cherry blossom trees in the background both as young and their older versions is one of the most beautiful scenes I've encountered during my k-drama days.

  • Lee Eung Bok

    Sul-coreano

My favorite director when it comes to beautiful shots! He's the man that directed Mr Sunshine, Descendants of the Sun, Goblin and so much more. Even though his dramas may not be the best regarding scripts it certainly wins in cinematography. His work made every scene in Goblin seem like it came straight out of a painting. From the scene where Ji Eun Tak is kidnapped and saved -  to the first snow scene, all of it was done with such finesse and beauty.

  • Na Young Seok

    Sul-coreano

Na PD is like a god to me.

  • Yoo Bo Ra

    Sul-coreano

Just Between Lovers had one of the most romantic and sad plots that I've heard. The lines between Kang Doo and Moon Soon were beautiful and felt real instead of the fairytale romance.

  • Han Jun Hee

    Sul-coreano

The vibe that he provided Coin Locker Girl was thrilling all of the scenes had good post production effects and the locations really worked in the movies favor. A skilled first time try, I'll be looking forward to more of his movies!

  • Kim Eun

    Sul-coreano

Her script for Something In The Rain felt real and heartbreaking, something that is hard to come by in k-dramas. I would love to see her write more scripts and concepts in the future!

  • Ahn Pan Seok

    Sul-coreano

I have only watched Something in the Rain from this well seasoned television director but it gave me "mersmak" (means that the taste wanted me to have more in swedish). Beautiful work with streetlights and color set the mood for this lovestory.

  • Baek Mi Kyung

    Sul-coreano

Screenwriter for The Miracle We Met and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon! Love her when it comes to cute unrealistic romance, hopefully she gets to do another drama with an A-List cast.

  • Lee Byung Hun

    Sul-coreano

He wrote and directed Twenty! Directed Sunny. An amazing director for comedy it seems like although he wrote "Love Forecast" aka one of the worst movies I've tried to see ever. Twenty was gold and felt so refreshing against all the censoring in Korean TV and film.

  • Wong Kar Wai

    Honconguês

Director of the 2000 Hong Kong classic In The Mood For Love. The way the movie was shot was what made that movie special. It felt like you were peeking into the main characters lives because the scenes were always half-shown half-hidden. The affair between the two married couple felt even more forbidden because of them being hidden for us. Beautiful movie, amazing with lighting and shooting.

  • Kim Won Suk

    Sul-coreano

Probably the best director of dramatic series in South Korea today! His work on Signal, Incomplete Life and My Mister shows that he can make us feel different things depending on lighting and angles. He seems to be a master at picking out the most "boring" sceneries and picking out small details that makes it into art by putting a certain feeling to something ordinary. Always makes dramas that feel polished and beautiful, not one scene is done without thought behind it which is something I really admire.

  • Kim Jin Won

    Sul-coreano

He is the director of one of my favorite dramas off all time; Just Between Lovers. Great with displaying what the characters are feeling without script or facial expressions which often makes the drama feel more intense and "real". As a fan of realistic dramas I appreciate his style of working in weather and time into the plot!

  • Bong Joon Ho

    Sul-coreano

  • Park Chan Wook

    Sul-coreano

  • Jung Yi Do

    Sul-coreano
