1. Algum Dia ou Um Dia
Taiwanese Drama - 2019, 13 episodes
First 2 episodes - 7/10 but gets better & better
Not for the distracted type
-
2. Voltem Cônjuges
Korean Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
This drama is pretty good with good life lessons, the best one, is I'm gonna record my mum's voice
No SLS for me. But because the main couple were so toxic for half the drama, I wasn't really rooting for them either. Just lead separate lives yo. Towards the end, you kind of see how much they care for each other, though painful to watch.
The ending was a paradox. Marriage isn't about HEA, but gives a HEA. Can't make this shizz up haha.
The actors were good.
Time slip underdeveloped and weak. -
3. Porque Esta é a Minha Primeira Vida
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
-
4. O Romance do Tigre e da Rosa
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
Fast pacing with a stagnant plot.
There were elements I arguably enjoyed ( a lot) but fundamentally, this is about a scriptwriter conking out due to a cold (or workload?) and living out a love story in her own script for 24 episodes. No thought given to her previous life. Wishing to live in dreamland forever (but what about real life?). This drama could easily be a 8, if the scriptwriter female lead was given a past, friends, family etc, REALITY instead of being a hollow shell to be that easily thrown away.
Poor actor Han. He gets his life hijacked by her fiction man, with no say.
Bits I enjoyed: the script within the script was fast moving lol, and the story isn't instalove but very slow burner. Also cheap sets, but good depth given to most drama characters. How is the drama within the drama better than than the actual drama lmao
*puts hand up to answer oneself*
I know! Because 15min was spent in REAL WORLD, and 24 EPISODES in FICTION WORLD. Of course fiction world will be better. I might sound contradictory but I'm not.
Think about it.
