1. Phi Wak Kha Rak Nu Dai Mai
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
COMPLETED [Nov 8 - Jan 16]
First engineering GL <3. I loved to see so many sapphic characters, the relationship chart was messy (in a good way). I loved Gyoza, although her and Manaow should really start communicating better ngl. Belle shouldn't have done that, Luktarn was such a snake, she was enjoyable at the beginning but by the end I hated her. Thida was the greenest flag, the bestest girl, I want a friend like her. Honestly Gyoza had the best friendship squad. Warang and Prang were really cute together. The amnesia plot and Pure's confession at the end were so unecessary tbh.
Kudos to the drama for being directed by a sapphic director.

2. Family Gravesite
Korean Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
COMPLETED [Jan 24 - Jan 25]
Two days binge because I was stressed about exams and needed something to keep me hooked, which dark mystery/thriller stories do well. The drama had an interesting winter village setting and amazing instrumental OST that made the whole vibes even more creepy and unsettling. Kim Youngho gave me creeps but it was understandable, I didn't like Yoon Seoha as much as I thought I would, and the policemen Choi Seungjun and Park Sangmin friendship change was great to watch. I wish there were some policewomen though...
Also why does nobody keep their phone locked?? There were at least three times when a character used someone else's phone without needing any password, like what, do the creators realize that it's so unrealistic, right?
Once you see the MDL recommendations and know what Old Boy is about, you know there is going to be some incest, however it was surprising who the child actually was. Why was the family so fixated on the gravesite though?

3. Garden of Life
Taiwanese Drama - 2012, 20 episodes
COMPLETED [Jan 16 - Jan 29]
This drama really can't be rated anything else than 10/10. It was different from what I usually watch but the story pulled me in really quickly. Shuihe's life journey was heartbreaking and inspiring, I was rooting for him in every step of it. My most favourite parts were when he started planting cabbages, rode down the mountain for the first time on his own, and when he took care of all the flowers and plants, and helped the other disabled people.
The people around Shuihe were all so nice and hardworking and all the relationships were so healthy. I didn't agree with some of his father's actions but that's okay, we all process grief differently and it's important to show these parts as well. And later his father rebuilt the whole house for him and worked so hard ahhh. </3 I wish Shuihe's girlfriend wouldn't just leave so abruptly but at least she came back in the last episode and there was no bad blood between them.
And the fact that it's based on a true story adds even more value to the drama. Such an underrated gem that should be appreciated and watched by more people!

4. Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
COMPLETED [Jan 29 - Jan 30]
Mostly watched as a treat for myself after a Latin test and oh boy, what a treat it was! The drama combined two of my favourite stuff, sapphic women and food and honestly I'm not sure which I liked the most in it. The aesthetic were nice and cozy, the meals delicious looking, the women so nice to each other and understanding. I also like how it touched on the topic of Nomoto's cooking being seen as only something that would make her a good wife for some man, that hit hard. Her and Kasuga were so cute together and the slow-burn adult romance suited them so good! I'm glad I watched this just in time for season 2. :) I'm sure it will be as good as this one.

5. Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Joshi wa Watashi no Moto Kano
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
COMPLETED [Jan 19 - Mar 25]
I loved to see the all female team and how each women was different and unique, even the side characters. Itsuki's texting with her co-workers was amazing. Fuyu could step on me and I would thank her (also her voiceee, I could listen to it all the time). Also was Asami in love with Fuyu too? Like damn.
I still don't understand why Fuyu married her husband though, like she said she loved him but also that she was a lesbian so what's the truth? Apparently bi people don't exist? I would just like to know more about the reason because the fact that she married him and had a child with him because of her break-up with Itsuki doesn't seem like a reason enough for ALL of that. And I really hope that Fuyu could bring Tsuki with her to Itsuki since they seemed to have such a good relationship together.
That perverted old guy really gave me the ick, I would literally start screaming if I were next to him. (Yeah, and why was he the only one with curly hair *sigh*)

6. Meu Nome
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
COMPLETED [Mar 25]
My first one day binge! But seriously this drama was great. Fighting scenes were amazingly choreographed and done, be it with guns, knives or just hands. Han So Hee nailed her role, both emotional and fighting scenes. Gang leader Cho Moo Jin was so hot, his right-hand man and lawyer too. Romance between Ji Woo and Pil Du was unexpected but I didn't mind. Ending was satisfying, the whole last episode was probably my most favourite.
I wish there were more women though.
(February pick for The Recommendation Challenge by Xiao Zi.)

7. O Jogo do Detetive 2
Korean TV Show - 2019, 10 episodes
COMPLETED [Apr 4 - Apr 8]
Funny, amazing, and wholesome! Can't believe it took me so long to finally watch the second season after the first one omg. I loved all the cast members, although I kind of missed Kwang Soo in the later episodes but all of them are AMAZING. They must have so much fun shooting this show. Some members are smarter than others (Park Min Young is carrying the team!) but all of them get their moments to shine (the fool Jong Min, my beloved).
But the absolute disrespect to not have detective Ahn on the poster when this is his last season, ahh T_T

8. Min Guo Da Zhen Tan
Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes
COMPLETED [Jun 16 - Apr 8]
Gorgeous costumes, visuals and aesthetic that made me bump the rating up by 0.5. Otherwise the drama was average with interesting cases but bad premise and for some reason I couldn't concentrate much on the cases despite the fact that I know them from the British Poirot series. I wish the male leads had better chemistry, their characters just weren't doing it for me. But the romance was good. Bonus points for Zhou Mo Wan to be revealed as a spy at the end like yasss queen. Also the Russian Ge Ai was so beautiful, someone get Anastasia Sedikova another role in a republican drama please.
We needed more of Mr. He though, like was he supposed to be a tribute to Hercule Poirot, I want more of him and his backstory, his witty remarks were the best!

9. U Loves You
Taiwanese Movie - 2021
COMPLETED [Apr 21]
I still don't know what to think about this movie, I had a hard time rating this one. Normally it would get 7.5 rating from me because it's the type of movie which I usually like: short, aesthetic, full of interesting and bizarre shots, queer, with a dash of sci-fi. It reminded me of PTS Original: Butterflies but that one was way better.
The main problem: the female leads, who are shown kissing and being all touchy, are SISTERS IN REAL LIFE! Like who thought it was okay... who casted it... why did they agree to this... just no.
(I contemplated giving this movie one star because of that but settled for five at the end.)
-
10. Bu Liang Zhi Nian Qing Chu Shi
Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
COMPLETED [Apr 8 - Apr 25]
This drama is so good like omg, it mixes all the genres so well, it has comedy, mystery, supernatural, even some horror-like elements but it's such a pleasure to watch it as it blends the heavy topics with light-hearted ones.
The main trio has such a throuple energy, I can easily imagine them in a poly relationship. I want Pu Yiyong's hairstyle. Chuying in her police uniform can step on me. Guangyan was so cute (how is the actor 31 year old?!) and nerdy about Yiyong's comics and precious. I liked how Yiyong didn't abandon his old friends from high school and hang out with them as well. His mother was so beautiful, especially her freckles ahhh.
I definitely wouldn't mind a second season if the creators decided to make it.
(March pick for The Recommendation Challenge by Xiao Zi.)

11. Xia Ye Zhi Dao Feng De Tian
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
COMPLETED [Apr 29]
The subtext is strong in this one, they even said they are partners, eeeek!
I was expecting Yang Fuyu to play another bubbly and naive character but she surprised me so much in this drama. Huaichu was different from her other roles and I absolutely loved it! And her wardrobe was to die for, especially her sort of goth outfits. However one of her outfits made me really uncomfortable, the combo of cute dress, pigtails and TEDDY BEAR as an accessory.
Wang Xuexi never disappoints, she was born for these roles of cold-looking yet caring female leads. Everytime I see her, she makes me 10% gayer. (P. S.: Her French maid outfit is in episode 13, you're welcome.)
Also their approach to bullying and harrasment was amazing, give me more women who are not afraid to be unhinged and get their hands dirty while protecting each other.

12. 23.5 Degree the World Incline
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
COMPLETED [Mar 26 - May 26]
Was this drama perfect? No. But did it bring me joy, make me long for a high school romance like this, which I never had, and did I giggle and kick my feet while watching it? 100% yes.
All the couples were so cute and I liked all the characters (except Ton because he doesn't take no for an answer, his crush on Charoen was so weird in that way). Bonus points for Mawin, I want more diverse body types in dramaland, please! Bambam and Nida, our double t4t couple (trans for trans & teacher for teacher), would earn this drama 10/10 regardless of any other aspect because this is how you do a good trans rep.
Absolute queer joy, 10/10, would recommend.

13. She Makes My Heart Flutter
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
COMPLETED [Jun 2]
Sapphics + café setting = perfection
Soo Not Sue knows her formula and does it perfectly. All female casts, sapphics, often cozy cafés, posting on social media, all of her works feel so real and this one is particularly striking because it's the longest with more characters. And they all feel so real and relatable.
I know nothing about coffee and I would be a terrible barista but this drama makes me want to open a small café and live my best life there.
Also Park So Mi (who played the aunt Jung One) is my new crush and I absolutely love her unique hair!
(May pick for The Recommendation Challenge by Xiao Zi.)

14. A Médica legista Imperial
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
COMPLETED [May 24 (2023) - Jun 23]
We need more dramas like this one! Chu Chu had her limitations but she was actually really smart and did her job so well. Xiao Jinyu was the one tasked with solving the cases and I love how he was so smart and soft at the same time, like he couldn't fight at all but nobody was making fun of him. And he was such a green flag, his relationship with Chu Chu is one of the healthiest I've ever seen in dramaland! I loved Jing Yi (especially his funny moments and window escapades) and Leng Yue was great too - am I allowed to say that her and Chu Chu were gay for each other? Princess Xiping was amazing and beautiful and NOT THIN and I want more diverse body types like her in dramaland please!
It was interesting how the whole drama was basically one long case. And the plot twist with the final mastermind was so good.

15. Even If
Thai Movie - 2022
COMPLETED [Jul 9]
This was so heartbreaking and real and my heart was aching so much during the bullying scenes, oh my god. The singing scene at the beginning was so beautiful. I want a different ending though!
-
16. Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2024, 20 episodes
COMPLETED [Jul 9 - Jul 11]
Finally watched season 2 and I want season 3 right now! The manga is still ongoing so I hope we will get it one day. :)
This season was just as great as the first one, I loved the new characters and the way everyone treated each other in such a nice and kind way and they were so supportive of each other. I liked how it touched upon the topic of marriage and divorce and that marriage doesn't need to be the final goal in a relationship but everyone should be able to get married if they want to.
-
17. O Jogo do Detetive 3
Korean TV Show - 2021, 8 episodes
COMPLETED [Jul 23 - Jul 24]
I love Busted so much, like the format, the cases, the bickering of the detectives, both the scripted and unscripted scenes, everything is just *chef's kiss*. It really lifted me up, I was laughing out loud during many moments. It was also a bit bittersweet for me as I knew this was the last season but the cast continued to have so much fun and I did too with them.
Kwang Soo with longer hair is just *mwah* and he totally slayed in his episode 7 outfit.
I would give them 10,000 dollars for another season tbh. xD
-
18. My Dear Friend
Korean Drama - 2019, 4 episodes
COMPLETED [Jul 24]
I watched this because I mostly wanted to clean up my PTW list and this was the oldest thing on it lol. Maybe I'm a bit harsh with my rating but this short drama just wasn't doing it for me. I was just confused. It was probably meant to focus on how the lines between friendship and romantic love can blur but I didn't feel much chemistry between the actresses so it kind of fell flat for me. Also everything was so bright with faint bleak colours without any saturation.
And I finally finished my Spring Cleaning challenge with this!
-
19. Zombie 100
Japanese Movie - 2023
COMPLETED [Jul 24]
Phew, I'm not really sure what to think about this movie. I liked the anti-capitalistic message and I related a lot to Akira, like the sheer joy he felt when he realized that he doesn't need to work anymore? I feel you, bro, I really do.
I was so anticipating the romantic pairing of Akira and Shizuka (because they reminded me of Arisu and Usagi from the author's other work Alice in Borderland) that I didn't even notice that they didn't end up together, which was actually a really nice change.
The zombie shark with the dangly legs was a bit too much for me. Also never would I have anticipated that the tags about nudity would be about zombie boobs.
-
20. Senhorita Sherlock
Japanese Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
REWATCH [Sep]
Rewatched this with my sister due to us wanting to watch Sherlock Holmes adaptations and I remembered this one. It still holds up and she enjoyed it a lot too.
-
21. Ayaka-chan wa Hiroko-senpai ni Koishiteru
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
COMPLETED [Jul 7 - Oct 15]
This was such a breath of fresh air since both of them were very confident lesbians but absolutely clueless, especially Hiroko. Ayaka's outfits were to die for but the make-over trope really needs to die, why do people hate glasses so much? I loved the lesbian bar and I'm glad that Risa got her romance too. Although I have to admit that I enjoyed the first half better than the second, it was still such an enjoyable j-drama.
-
22. Dear Uranus
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 3 episodes
COMPLETED [Oct 16]
Very cute and I feel like although the MDL synopsis doesn't tell you anything about the plot of the drama, it really captures its vibes. I liked seeing the taekwondo scenes. Expressed consent, my beloved. I'm not sure how to feel about the open ending, like was it done on purpose or did they just never make more episodes?
-
23. Happy to Have You Here
Thai Special - 2021, 1 episode
COMPLETED [Oct 16]
They were so cute! If all advertisments had sapphic couples, I wouldn't mind them at all. They managed to put a lot of plot into just nine minutes and didn't waste any second.
