Really good K drama. Liked the growth of characters, especially the FL. In the beginning she seemed spoiled and uncaring but with the war she turned out to be strong and determined. She was able to keep herself and her friends alive. The ML fell for the FL basically at first sight, but she already like someone else, the 2 ML Yeon Joon. Now this guy was promised to the FL'S best friend Eun Ae. Their friendship was so cute and they stood by each other. The 2 ML annoyed me, with his so high morals but in fact he could not protect the innocent. The part where the FL had to survive the war and when she was kidnapped by the barbarians and taken to Qing was really good. The ML was extremely smart and caring for the refugees and captives of his country. He risked his life many times to help them and also the FL. There was another woman who liked the ML, the princess of the barbarians, that was really annoying and had a saying of if she could not have him nobody could so he should die instead, but fortunately, right at the end she realized he was never gonna be hers. The Crown prince at first seemed uncaring but he grew and cared for his people but was poisoned and died along his his wife, just because of his hallucinanting father, the King, who thought he wanted to dethrone him. The ML's friends were nice but the singer Ryang Eum that liked him annoyed me as he kept being in the leads way.
Overall, beautiful and tragic love story that had a good ending, some deaths that I felt bad about, and the harsh plot of the historical time the story happened was heavy sometimes.
