  • Então me Casei com Minha Anti-fã

    1. Então me Casei com Minha Anti-fã

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    7.0

I watched this for Chanyeol. It was an okay movie, there wasn't anything memorable about it since I'm writing this way after I saw the movie

  • De Repente Dezessete

    2. De Repente Dezessete

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    9.0

This movie was actually more memorable than the first. It's basically that Zac Efron movie 17 Again except there no weird incest-y thing with their child, it's more that she has turned mentally seventeen but still looks the same so it was a more interesting concept

  • Tão Jovem 2: Então você ainda está aqui
    8.5

I watched this for Kris Wu and I realised the lead actress lowkey looks like the female version of Suho which was weird lol maybe I'm the only one that saw it but if you did too then please let me know that I wasn't crazy for seeing it. It was a good watch, I was surprised by Kris's acting and I did enjoy the film

  • A Testemunha

    4. A Testemunha

    Chinese Movie - 2015

    7.5

I watched this for Lu Han lol I see that my earlier motivations for watching Chinese movies were all because of EXO but I mean I am a fan so it was only natural that they introduced me to it. This was more of a thriller movie, so no romance really but it was still interesting, it had me on edge a lot. I later realised I recognised the lead actress (Yang Mi) from a variety show she was on with Tao, it was like the Chinese version of the Korean show Real Men (called Takes a Real Man: Season II) and I liked her on that too.

  • Doces Dezesseis Anos

    5. Doces Dezesseis Anos

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    7.0

Again I watched this for KrisI had to refresh my memory on this so I went back to watch it and skipped through it to remember but after I did that I realised why I kinda forgot about it because this movie was tragic and I guess my brain deleted the sadness of it all. I also saw the tags for this movie so this won't be a spoiler but damn the whole sexual assault part really was hard to watch but I was so impressed by Kris's acting again, like he really played his role well in this. I'm pretty sure I cried when I watched it knowing how much of a crybaby I am. If you can't take tragic storylines then this probably isn't for you

  • Edge of Innocence

    6. Edge of Innocence

    Chinese Movie - 2017

    8.0

You probably know at this point that I watched this for Tao and because I saw the trailer for this before it came out so I was already excited to see him in a romance movie. There this eerie feeling throughout the whole movie but I guess because is tagged under 'suspense' for the genre. This isn't a typical love at first sight romance, it's kinda creepy if you really think about how he actually met her and the situation he found her in was also questionable too but they managed to love despite it. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat but that was mostly from the suspenseful music and I don't like being tense lol tbh I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I watched it, I was thinking it would be a happy easygoing romance film, so if that's what you expected from this then you'll be disappointed. It had it's good moments though

  • To Love or Not to Love

    7. To Love or Not to Love

    Hong Kong Movie - 2017

    8.0

When I first watched this, the first thing I noticed was that it didn't sound Chinese (or at least Mainland Mandarin Chinese which is what I was more familiar with) then saw that it's actually a Hong Kong film so it was different than what I had seen before. This was a nice story about first love, then heartbreak and reuniting in the future. It is kind of a cliche and overdone story but it was still a good watch

  • Nossos Tempos

    8. Nossos Tempos

    Taiwanese Movie - 2015

    7.0

I watched this for Darren Wang after seeing him on Suddenly Seventeen and wanted to watch another movie with him since I liked his character in Suddenly Seventeen. tbh it wasn't that memorable of a movie for me. After refreshing my memory once again, this movie is your typical good girl who likes the popular boy but later makes the 'bad boy' of the school angry because of some chain letter and so he makes her do stuff to make up for it by making her his slave basically and this in then turns into a nice friendship and then she helps him get better in school etc. ... writing it out makes it sound like a Wattpad book. You can find out for yourself what happens in the end..

  • Girls Love

    9. Girls Love

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    6.0

I completely forgot I even watched this movie tbh, it was just meh, I mostly skipped through it since it got boring but it does highlight the struggles they had to go through being in a lesbian relationship in college.

  • Railroad Tigers

    10. Railroad Tigers

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    7.0

This is no surprise that I obviously watched this for Tao but also because Jackie Chan is in this movie and I'm also a fan of him. This was different from what I've seen Tao in because this is an action film so no romance which is my go-to genre. I didn't even realise Darren Wang was also in this show till I looked it up now. I mean the action part didn't disappoint, it is a Jackie Chan movie after all. It was a bit slow at times but it was a good movie overall

  • Kung Fu Yoga

    11. Kung Fu Yoga

    Chinese Movie - 2017

    7.0

Yet another Jackie Chan movie with an EXO member but this time it's LAY. This movie was funnier than Railroad Tigers and that made it more enjoyable for me. The ending with the Bollywood dancing really threw me off tbh

  • The Foreigner

    12. The Foreigner

    Chinese Movie - 2017

    6.5

I guess I was just on a Jackie Chan binge since I watched 3 of his movies in a row but this was more of a background movie to play, I didn't fully pay attention to it tbh

  • This Is Not What I Expected

    13. This Is Not What I Expected

    Chinese Movie - 2017

    7.5

My introduction to now one of my favourite actresses Zhou Dong Yu. I just found her really cute in this movie, the lead actor just looked way older than her though. The story is a bit cliche and it could even be a Wattpad book lol but it was still good

  • Tão Jovem

    14. Tão Jovem

    Chinese Movie - 2013

    7.5

I watched this because it was on Netflix and I already watched So Young 2: So You're Still Here with Kris so I thought I would give it al go. I think I preferred this one to the one with Kris, I rooted for the characters more because it actually showed the different characters and how their lives were, giving a backstory and everything but damn the ending man

  • Pérolas no Mar

    15. Pérolas no Mar

    Chinese Movie - 2018

    8.0

This was also on Netflix and had Zhou Dong Yu so I had to watch it. This movie kinda hits deep, its really realistic story about love and life, things don't always work out between people in both love and career but that's how things are. It felt a bit slow and at times depressing but that was kinda the beauty of it in my opinion

  • Coabitação

    16. Coabitação

    Chinese Movie - 2018

    8.5

The story is basically about a man and woman living in the same apartment but they're from different timelines and they can both exit the apartment in their respective door to go to their own timeline. I liked the story, it was a new take on time travel (at the time I watched it at least)

  • Nunca Disse Adeus

    17. Nunca Disse Adeus

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    7.0

When I saw that 2 of my favourite actors Lee Joon Gi and Zhou Dong Yu were in a movie together, you know I had to watch it. I swear this movie was a rollercoaster of confusion for me. When I thought it was turn out one way, it switched on me then went back and was tragic again and I was left crying, I would still recommend in nonetheless though.

  • Outra Mulher

    18. Outra Mulher

    Taiwanese Movie - 2015

    7.0

This was a good watch, I mostly watched it for Ariel Lin. I liked how it really showed a lot of complexity when it comes to relationships relationships

  • Crying Out In Love

    19. Crying Out In Love

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    6.5

I think I was mostly confused when I watched this show because of all the flashbacks but it was still a beautiful story

  • Yesterday Once More

    20. Yesterday Once More

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    7.0

This was a nice feel-good movie, I wished there was more with the ending though

  • Making Family

    21. Making Family

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    8.0

I saw a clip of this from YouTube and had to watch the whole movie because of it. It was a cute story of a boy trying to find out who and where his donor dad is.

  • Seu Sorriso É Muito Encantador

    22. Seu Sorriso É Muito Encantador

    Chinese Movie - 2016

    8.0

I watched this mostly because I watched the TV Show version of it, it's basically the same storyline just less detailed and drawn out than the show obviously

  • You Are the Apple of My Eye

    23. You Are the Apple of My Eye

    Taiwanese Movie - 2011

    8.5

This is such a nice movie about growing up, friendships and life. I really liked it even the ending

  • Meu Melhor Verão

    24. Meu Melhor Verão

    Chinese Movie - 2019

    7.5

I absolutely loved this movie. It was super cute and I loved the relationship and chemistry between the leads

  • Love The Way You Are

    25. Love The Way You Are

    Chinese Movie - 2019

    8.0

My introduction to Song Wei Long and how adorable he is. This is another cute drama with a simple love story and I really liked the female lead she was so cute

  • A Dama Imprópria

    26. A Dama Imprópria

    Hong Kong Movie - 2018

    8.0

An interesting movie, definitely more mature but the storyline allowed for growth with the characters which I really liked

  • Os Anos Roubados

    27. Os Anos Roubados

    Chinese Movie - 2013

    8.0

I watched this on a whim after having it on my list on Netflix for so long and I don't regret watching it. It's another one of those romance amnesia storylines but it was well done, the ending had me in tears though

  • Youth Never Returns

    28. Youth Never Returns

    Chinese Movie - 2015

    7.5

I loved the friendships in this movie. The name is very fitting for the story and I was bawling my eyes out in the end, it was such a beautiful story of youth, growing up and just life in general

  • Dias Melhores

    29. Dias Melhores

    Chinese Movie - 2019

    10

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Zhou Dong Yu really doesn't disappoint with her roles and movies. It was just a beautifully tragic story about friendship, love and bullying and it's based on a true story which makes it more sad

  • Para A Minha Eu de 19 Anos

    30. Para A Minha Eu de 19 Anos

    Chinese Movie - 2018

    8.0

I watched this for Austin Lin since I loved him in I Will Never Let You Go. It's really one of those films that make you think about life and how you should live it to the fullest and how you should love and appreciate those around you.

  • Fighting Youth

    31. Fighting Youth

    Chinese Movie - 2015

    6.0

It was alright to begin with but that ending with Van Fan just left me confused tbh, this movie was just meh
