Romantic dramas tend to put more focus on kiss scenes being like the epitome of the realization of feelings. They are seen like the main starting point for a romantic relationship in a drama. But I honestly really love hug scenes. When the two love interests hug, so much more can be seen in that. It's a whole variety of emotions and it just feels more  like "You're precious to me" or "I treasure you." Hugs feel like warmth, like love.
