My favorite action thrillers

Terrorism thriller. Some pretty strong action scenes. Fizzles at the end, unfortunately.

Death game thriller. The games are more cerebral than the ones in "Squid Game."

Mystery, action, buddy comedy. Mismatched partners, Triads, romantic triangles, and a deadly addictive drug.

Mystery, rom-com. Really long (47 episodes) but breaks down into several arcs. Loved the chemistry between William Chan and Ma Sichun.

Terrorism thriller. Very much like "24" with annoying family members and moles.

Sci-fi, time travel. Compulsively watchable even though it ultimately doesn't make sense.

Mystery. Very similar to "Love Me If You Dare" but not quite as good.

Death game. Does a better job making you care about characters than "Alice in Borderland," with the result that the deaths hit home harder.

Mystery, rom-com. High IQ/low EQ forensic psychologist hires college graduate as his assistant in helping solve fiendish murders, while sparks slowly develop.

Sci-fi. A bit long at 30 episodes but solid adaptation of Cixin Liu's mind-blowing novel.
