My Favorite Directors and Screenwriters
Not sure how good I am looking at the directors but I'm trying to give them more attention. I also merged this together with my favorite screenwriters since sometimes the director also does the screenwriting. Let the chaos begin 'xD...
Some from outside of MDL:
- Wes Anderson
- Satoshi Kon
- David Lynch
- Jack Stauber (he is many things, and I love them all, also on YouTube)
- Joel Haver (posts on YouTube)
-
Wong Kar Wai
Honconguês
Just love his artsy style !! He makes films actually feel like art. My absolute favorite director!!
-
Lee Soo Yeon
Sul-coreano
Whatever she writes, I will watch. I have a trust in her work. I will follow her blindly. 8D
Save me from this madness.
-
Nogi Akiko
Japonês
All the works I have seen from her seem to be so interesting!!! I love them! Some oddness, but also some interesting thoughts!
-
Soo Not Sue
Sul-coreano
Her works are really nice :> ! Tryly the queer representation that I need :D !!!
-
-
Kim Eun Hee
Sul-coreano
I think her Kingdom series are awesome and Signal was also really nice. We will see what kind of works she will be part of in the future :D
-
Koreeda Hirokazu
Japonês
This is the kind of director/screenwriter that I feel like others respect so I also need to. I have only seen one movie from him and I liked it, but that doesn't meant that I would die for him.
-
Bong Joon Ho
Sul-coreano
Again with the other respect him, so I should too. He does seem like a nice guy but I haven't seen enough works for me to support this. I'm sure we all loved parasite and I have heard that his style is full of dark humor and sudden mood shifts (which is right at my alley). But I haven had enough time to actually know if that's true.
-
Aof Noppharnach Chaiwimol
Tailandês
He is truly moving up in the world with his works! I'm interested to see what he makes next.
-
Yoo Bo Ra
Sul-coreano
I love her work on Just between lovers. All the character where nice. I'm looking forward to her future projects
-
Song Ji Na
Sul-coreano
Faith and Healer where one of my favorite dramas in my teenage years. And Healer is still works as a timeless work of art (ofc in todays standards I wish the woman was more bad ass xD)
