The female lead goes through way too much, putting herself in the most exhausting and pathetic situations, all for a man who quite honestly doesn't seem to match her energy.

Easily one of the most infuriating and pathetic female leads I have ever seen.

The stories with the kids are lovely, but everything that has to do with hip hop and dancing makes me think of that white woman "teaching" hip hop, at any moment I expected someone to say "people ask me all the time 'what are you gonna do when hip hop goes out?', hip hop is an attitude, so it can't go out".

Yet another drama I watched a while ago and sadly don't remember much about it. What I do remember is loving the lead couple and thinking their love story both in and out of the drama was adorable. It's truly sad that Masahiro Higashide fucked it all up, and I wish nothing but the best for Watanabe Anne and her children.

22. Hanako To Anne
Japanese Drama - 2014, 156 episodes
- Aired: Mar 31, 2014

The drama never picked up steam for me, I'm not quite sure why.
-
23. Massan
Japanese Drama - 2014, 150 episodes
- Aired: Sep 29, 2014
A slow start and a strong ending, as a biracial woman, it was lovely to see an interracial relationship being portrayed with so much care.
-
24. Mare
Japanese Drama - 2015, 156 episodes
- Aired: Mar 30, 2015

Tao and Kento were born to play husband and wife on screen, it's their fate and I hope they keep blessing us with their chemistry.
-
25. Asa ga Kita
Japanese Drama - 2015, 156 episodes
- Aired: Sep 28, 2015
- Top #2 "Favorite Asadora Heroines" by Oricon
The romance was definitely the issue for me, mainly because I never bought the male lead, he was too much of a bum for me, and the actors didn't have enough chemistry to make up for it. On the other hand, the female lead and her tenacity made the drama, she was the highlight.

26. Toto nee-chan
Japanese Drama - 2016, 156 episodes
- Aired: Apr 4, 2016
- Completed: Jun 13, 2022
- Top #8 "Favorite Asadora Heroines" by Oricon
I'm too much of a hopeless romantic for this, and I admit it's a flaw of mine.

Japanese Drama - 2017, 156 episodes
- Aired: Apr 3, 2017
- Completed: Apr 29, 2022
- Top #3 "Favorite Asadora Heroines" by Oricon
The highlight of the story is the mystery surrounding the female lead's father, the issue is that I don't think the resolution was all that interesting.
-
29. Hanbun, Aoi
Japanese Drama - 2018, 156 episodes
- Aired: Apr 2, 2018
- Completed: Jun 15, 2022
The lead couple was the main issue of this drama, there was no chemistry whatsoever, and on top of that the romance was poorly written.
-
30. Manpuku
Japanese Drama - 2018, 151 episodes

-
31. Hiyokko 2
Japanese Special - 2019, 4 episodes
- Aired: Mar 25, 2019
- Completed: Apr 29, 2022
This felt a bit unnecessary to me, I can't lie.
-
32. Céu de Verão
Japanese Drama - 2019, 156 episodes
- Aired: Apr 1, 2019
- Completed: Dec 13, 2023
It feels like the romance was very rushed, both the lead couple and the female lead's little sister's marriage, it was all very sudden, and while I enjoyed them, especially the lead couple, I can't help but think how much more I'd have liked them if they had taken their time to establish the relationships. With 156 episodes, for the romance to start 100 episodes into the story, and for it to happen out of the blue, that's a writing mistake in my opinion.

34. Okaeri Mone
Japanese Drama - 2021, 120 episodes
- Aired: May 17, 2021
- Completed: Feb 2, 2022
I know and understand that the entire point of the drama was to show how distance could not destroy the lead couple's relationship, but when the chemistry is this good, the lack of more romance becomes an issue. Or maybe I just like SakaKen so much that I wanted to see more of him, either way I loved it, but not enough to give it a 10.
