    1. Crash Landing on You

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

x is a variable whose value is the number of times I have rewatched CLoY.

Two people who helped each other overcome their hardships and past. Company 5 and NK Ladies will rob your heart, and each character has a well-defined personality. Leaving fate aside, Seri and Jeong Hyeok brought out the best of each other. He helped her become more amicable and down-to-earth. Seri helped him become more vulnerable and warm. Both walk hand-by-hand in their relationship, protecting and healing the other one. As the show moves on, you realize that both have reasons to be as they are. For example, why is Jeong Hyeok distant and why is Seri so stern.

Also shows that sometimes non-blood-related people will become dearer than those who are blood-related. Her closeness to company 5 will bring you tears and the solace she found on the NK ladies. Seri at first, obviously, regretted not turning right where Jeong Hyeok told her to. She said she always made the right choice. Later on, she said she would make the same choice again just to relive their moments together. They made sacrifices, risking their own lives at times, to protect the other one.

There is a love triangle but becomes a square triangle, or there's no longer a geometrical figure.

  • Nosso Eterno Verão

    2. Nosso Eterno Verão

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

It shows how a simple storyline can be fun to watch with the correct actors playing their characters. Dami eonnie and Woo-Shik oppa nailed their characters. Two people who loved each other deeply, and later split, not because of falling-out-of-love, instead of circumstances where they didn't want to drag each other into. Years later, after crossing paths again, they realize they weren't really over each other.

I know it's a cliche the whole never-over-you kdrama plot, but it shows how after many years of knowing each other intimately and loving each other deeply despite how different they are and how they fell in love with their flaws and annoying things of the other one, it's almost difficult to ignore resurfacing feelings after spending more time together. A close friend of mine married someone who went through the whole cliche. I wouldn't say their storyline is completely implausible. If the person they fell in love with is the one you're supposed to have, it'll happen sooner or later when the time is right.

    3. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Two opposites, as Hyejin said herself before confessing, can be each others' strength. It has a little bit of destiny involved (as expected) but also shows how you can help someone overcome their past, fated or not. Dushik helped Hyejin have her feet on the ground and become warmer, and Hyejin helped Dushik open up and become a happier person.

"Women aren't supposed to be the man's psychologist." Hyejin never intended to do so, she willingly waited for him to open up. The moment he did, all she did was to help him find solace in her; to become the partner who will help him forever.

  • Pretendente Surpresa

    4. Pretendente Surpresa

The drama is cliche, predictable, and lovey-dovey. But after many heartbreaking dramas--2521--this is a glass of cold water.

  • Na Direção do Amor

    5. Na Direção do Amor

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

Siwan's sweet talks, plus realistic and healthy relationships. No weird/dramatic/traumatic past in any of the characters. No love triangle that makes the story more complicated and cliche. Life lessons of going after what you want, speaking up, loving yourself, and taking risks.

I loved when Mi-Joo constantly said or reiterated that one mustn't endure everything. It is okay to simply rest or quit. Also, the importance of loving oneself first and foremost. It is the key to a happy and healthy life and relationships.

  • Amor Louco

    6. Amor Louco

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

A pair we never knew we needed until we got it. Who would’ve thought that someone with amnesia could fall in love with someone who claims to be their fiancée when he never had amnesia in the first place?

  • Toque Seu Coração

    7. Toque Seu Coração

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    9.0

If you watched the Goblin, you would like this one. The Grim Reaper and Sunny meet again in their next life. This time as a lawyer and an actress. This one DOES have a happy ending for both of them because, unlike The Goblin/Guardian, they have a bittersweet ending. This one shines blindingly bright.

  • A Love So Beautiful

    8. A Love So Beautiful

    Korean Drama - 2020, 24 episodes

    7.0

It is a cute drama is you want time to pass by. It has cute scenes and presents what is like to be a high schooler with a crush on someone. Also, what is it like growing up, maturing, deciding what you want in life, and meeting your partner. There is a love triangle, but it is not exhausted, nor used to extend the storyline. Unlike the Chinese version, this one has a more gentle/sweet male lead.

  • O Que Houve Com a Secretária Kim?

    9. O Que Houve Com a Secretária Kim?

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    8.0

If you want a nice laugh with different characters, this one is for you. Each character has a different personality, and some are crazier than others. Kim Mi-so and Lee Young-Joon met years ago when they were young. He remembered her, but she didn't. After nine years of being a secretary who sustained her family of three with no more debt, she decides to quit because she wants to find herself now. Due to his brother, Lee Young-Joon has a terrible siblinghood. His brother blamed him for something he didn't do.

What I didn't like about this drama is that Mi-so came across as dumb to me at times. She knows very well her boss, like his triggers. Once she saw some hideous scars on his ankles that left her wondering for some time. Suddenly his brother tells her he was the one with her that day, and she calls him oppa and believes everything that he said. Like, are you blind or something? Like, you decide to trust a random dude you just met instead of the person you've known for almost 10 years now?

She came across as selfish at times too. She didn't mind hurting the person she was dating just to dig into her past. Getting pissed at your fiancee because he is pissed that you chose to work over a dress-fitting for a wedding that is just around the corner. Staying close and going out for what we could refer to as "date" with oPpA when you know how the siblinghood is between oPpA and your boyfriend. OpPa confessed in public, so you looked for it!! Young-Joon has every right to feel betrayed by many of her actions. He respected her every decision, but it didn't reciprocate.

SPOILER: Mi-so and Young-Joon were kidnapped by a crazy criminal minds lady when they were young.  He got her out of there, but since she was young she started to forget the incident and his name. She eventually starts remembering fragments of that day until the point she wants to know what happened.

  • A Vida Privada Dela

    10. A Vida Privada Dela

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    6.5

They have great chemistry, with cheesy lines and moments. It presents a mature and healthy relationship. Both sides helped each other to bring out the best in their significant other. Plus, we all want to be a successful fangirls just like her.

What bums me out is that her fangirl life becomes almost nonexistent in the drama's second half. Her younger brother storyline that came out of nowhere, obviously put in to make time for the 15th and 16th episodes, was absurd and unnecessary. You feel satisfied with of course, but the last episode is not what you would expect for a grand finale. Makes a one-year-later jump, but it is not big deal.
