My cousin sis is gonna make salads and Christmas Puddings. My elder brothers are gonna cook mashed potatoes and french fries.

Evie and Moonies pals, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Evie, nice to hear u r in Greece! Trust it’s some delightful parts of the Island. I love Greece for its deep in antiquity history, food, people and the sights! Greeks are super friendly and action packed haha. I remember having dinner at 11pm till 4am Greece time omg ! I am watching ‘Riverside Code’; an investigative cdrama in Song dynasty. Quite interesting! Finished gawking at ‘Fangs of Fortune’ ; Ahaa ADG’s cousin Hou Hou was the ml!! Apart from dat, rewatching the super satisfying ‘Light of my Lion’ with the family. Not sure if I wanna pack another cdrama as The year ends…. But I ll watch 1st episode of TTEOtm on 1/1/25! Wahaaa holiday in 2025.. Definitely Chengdu, Xian China & maybe nearby home la. Toooo lazy nowadays. Wishing u and all a happy safe year!! Stay blessed and lovely!!

Yeah Greeks are friendly. Planning on staying at home today and tomorrow. Already bought groceries and such for tomorrow Christmas Party. As Christmas is off season in Greece, you get to enjoy sight seeing and such in my opinion. I'm currently re watching Grey's Anatomy. Mini Moonies are having a blast with their uncles and cousins. According to their uncles and some of their oler cousins our mini are chick magnet !

All this seems yummy. And I like to see men / boys cooking because after they can be proud of their culinary creation. Yes, I am lucky to just seat at my family's table but I will bring a roasted chiken with me, to participate to the cooking effort. After all Christmas is about sharing love and blessings.: )
I am happy that you can bake desserts. The only dessert I have been able to do right was a banana cake and a tiramisu. Pastry baking is not what I am good at. Temperatures, the method one use to manipulate ingredients, all of this is so important It is like chemistry. To difficult for me. (^_^')
This is why I admire those like you who are bakers. I should consider taking classes :/
My grandmas and my mom taught me to cook , bake, etc since I was quite young. Plus me and my cousin sister attended cooking, knife skills, baking, sewing, embroidery, etc classes. Got certificates too.

As for those men / boys. They always complain LOL. But at least, they end up doing something. This is also helping.
Whenever I am in the kitchen my dad refuses to help. He says that men are not supposed to be in a kitchen. *sigh*. He only looks at me and gives me orders. I don't know how my mom could stand this for so many years. As a filial daughter I just obey. But Oh dear God. I am happy that the reign of Matchist is over and now man also help in the kitchen.

Yeah best way to learn is from your family. Although I can knit pretty well I don't really enjoy knitting. My mom made me learn all things that she deemed essential for a proper lady. Hahaha According to my mom, if it's up to my Dad, and brothers, I'll be spoiled rotten as I'm the baby of our family plus only girl among us siblings.
My brothers can do basic sewing, cooking, baking plus properly clean and tidy up our home. My mom made sure of it. Maybe that's why they're still not married even though they are over 30. Hahaha If my Dad said Man/Woman work, she'll give a long long long lecture and he'll have to sleep on sofa until she says otherwise. Hahaha she is all about equality. Our mom rules the house with iron fist hahaha but she never disrespect my Dad though. Oh come to think about it, my aunts are pretty much the same as my mom. Hahaha that's why they say apple doesn't fall far from the tree, or something along the lines. Hahaha can't think of something suitable at the moment anyhoo.

Christmas party (a very loud one, hahaha but well every party in our families are pretty much loud anyway, guess just because we've big families) . Already gave Christmas presents and get lots of presents too. Hehehe We're only gonna move our Christmas tree to our living room tomorrow. Hid our Christmas tree in the room as we have too many grabbing little hands.

In my father's family side, my grand mother gave him to much freedom. Whereas my aunts were doing everything. Us children, will not let that happen in our households.

One of our family tradition is no work/chores is beneath you. Every family members must contribute/share the house hold chores. My paternal grandmother absolutely do not believe in spoiling your children. My maternal grandmother is the same too.

Guess silver lining is you can do whatever you want when you get married right? Start division of labor aka house hold chores from the very start. So later you don't have to suffer. What I hate most is man play while the woman is serving/slaving. Grr

I think everyone is busy this time of year, the last round I came back to MoonBase I was covered in Christmas tinsel. Hahahhaha...Happy Christmas busy!!! As such have not been watching any new Cdramas ,though the recommendation seems to watch Blossom next. I shall see how it goes, because by the time I have time, maybe Xixi's or Weiwei's new drama would have dropped. So no time for other men, only our TTEOTM sweeties.
