I just started The Story of Pearl Girl with Zhao Lu Si.
Its start is an amazing and REAL underwater sequence by LuSi as Pearl Girl. Now "air" underwater wirework for my Lu Si :).
I quickly went through the first two episodes. First impression--very interesting intro, like an epic story. LuSi as a slave, fierce and in survival mode all her life, then LuSi trying to figure an escape, meeting ML1 (Liu YuNing) and ML2 (Daddy Tang) all in episode 1 happening. It's not fast, though; they take time to show her desperate situation.
I'm pretty intrigued by Episode 2. No one CRIES like LuSi, I tell you! So this will be my next drama to continue. See you guys at the new board HAHA!
Millie:starting pear girl right now. I am so excited for it.
Finished Episodes 3 & 4. It's keeping my interest. The pacing is good--not too fast and giving time for our emotions to stew a bit while watching our girls suffer. While watching 1 & 2, I realize that was what was missing in Kill Me Love Me--there was a lot of telling and not much showing of the story, so we get the story but we never really felt the suffering, like we do Lu Si's.
I hope you enjoy The Story of Pearl Girl! See you there!
Still have to finish Kill Me Love Me. Just finished Rise of Ning (Loved it). Currently watching Judge from Hell, since it's finishing airing tomorrow, so I'm binging it. Pearl Girl and Eastern Game are on my watch as they air list (Reunion CP Month). And I'm seriously considering Fangs of Fortunes. November is so busy😅🤣

Wow! You're defying destiny all right! Heh. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
Ahahahhahaha. I have something funny to report.
YouTube has all these short historicals with rebirth/revenge now. There is one with the male lead named Su Guo Gong and he wears red and fans himself. Except, he's nowhere near the calibre of our Su Guo Gong and his red robe hangs loosely on him like borrowed Shakespearean costumes for a school play. It is beyond funny watching him, even though it's a "serious" drama. I'm still watching it because the FL is a heroine whose father was a general.
I'm highly amused by this.
