Considering that fact it is shounen anime so it has to stick to certain stereotypes... hey, this series wasn't bad at all, however, the plot is not very original (see Ergo Proxy, Claymore or the classic of classics - Neon Genesis Evangelion). But that's the only flaw that comes to my mind.
It was very well done, pretty animation, battles/fights combined with mostly eargasmic soundtrack managed to get me excited and energized. Our main hero, Eren, didn't really grow on me because he was either sunk deep in sorrow or on the peak of deathly rage, never admitting that he just can't do everything on his own, pushing poor Mikasa away. Fortunately, side characters got their fair share of screen time as well because they pretty much added most of the spice - I mean, I will really miss the officers of the Survey Corps.
Oh well. I don't do this often, but this will definitely be a rewatch!
btw - wikipedia says that a live-action film is in production. I can't imagine how that will turn out...I thought this is one of those animes that would never get a live-action and it would be for the best.
