The daughter of Sect Leader Qin Yu, whose death she witnessed. Since no one believed her, she leaves her fiance, Liu Cang Ling, and the sect to go to Wan Lu Sect in order to cultivate and eventually avenge her father's death.
While traveling she gets lost and inadvertently revives Lu Zhao Yao. Through their mysterious connection, she learns more about the world outside her sheltered upbringing. Eventually she becomes more assertive, resolute and responsible. Along the way, she helps teach Zhao Yao about friendship, communication and commitment.
