Yong Pil is a seemingly old-fashioned forecaster at the Jeju Weather Agency who dreams of being dismissed. He frequently voices his opinions and criticisms to the main office, even directly calling the head of the main office to express his complaints. Despite his outward appearance, when it comes to actual weather forecasts, Yong Pil is remarkably accurate – predicting rain when it rains and snow when it snows. Despite receiving constant offers from the main office in Seoul, he remains loyal to his hometown, Jeju Island.
Though Yong Pil may seem like a traditionalist, he possesses analytical, predictive, and judgment skills comparable to a supercomputer. When he was a child, he dreamed of being a dragon flying in the sky for three months.
Being a devoted fan of singer Cho Yong Pil, his mother insisted on naming him after the singer when he was born.
