Bai Jue | Qing Mu | Bo Xuan

Fictional Character

Bai Jue

Bai Jue is one of the four TRUE GODs and is the God of Fire. Known for his cold, impersonal, stoic demeanor he is nonetheless revered by women and goddesses for his male beauty and by others for his wisdom, fairness and cultivation.

He was asked by True God Zhi Yang to teach True God Shang Gu cultivation and ready her to head the God Realm. Through her tenacity and warmth, he begins to experience feelings and eventually returns her love. Devastated when he lost her, all his subsequent actions were focused on finding and protecting her.

Bo Xuan

Bo Xuan is an identity that Bai Jue assumes after the God Realm closed. Only God Gu Jun knows his true identity. Working with Gu Jun he gathers and nurtures remnants of Shang Gu spirit until a child was born of them which he named Hou Chi. Stern but caring, he helps teach and raise Hou Chi. He promises to return to the palace after 10,000 years.

Qing Mu

Bai Jue split his being into Bo Xuan and Qing Mu in order cultivate both Immortal and Demon Energy in order to learn to control Chaos, as Shang Gu was able to. During cultivation, something unknown happened and animated Qing Mu while Bo Xuan fell into a coma. Having no memories, Qing Mu's only clues to his identity are a beaded bracelet on his wrist and occasional flashes of visions.

Qing Mu is aloof and antisocial, having only one friend - the Second Prince of the Heavenly Palace, Jing Jian. Tales of his adventures coupled with his handsomeness have made him an obsession of many women but he is uninterested in them or his unwarranted reputation. While traveling with Jing Jian he encounters Hou Chi and thought she resembled the woman in his visions (Shang Gu). He pursues her hoping to find out more about his origins but eventually falls desperately in love with her. He is completely devoted to her, despite eventually learning that he is just an unintended fragment of True God Bai Jue.
