Perfect Combination of Comedy and Romance
This drama has a perfect Combination of Romance, Melodrama, Office vibes and Family vibes. But the best part of this drama is comedic timings. The creators have cracked the code of how to make audience laugh on small things. They've handled everything brilliantly. The Main Leads are so cute and their chemistry is amazing. This is a must watch!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

ultimate sweet rom-com shouldn't be missed!!!
this drama is one of the most ever valuable and high level performed rom-com for this year and among all the comedic korean dramas ever seen, it was unexpectedly so good to watch it as I enjoyed every single moment through all the show that I didn't want it to finish so early as it was a successful choosed cast of actors for all the characters in this story were top notch in acting that I am so glad to give it a try being truly worthy to watch and being pleased with the progression of story and the amazing funny scenes that were accomplished in a great and outstanding way with no any boring times and being flawless that I didn't skipped any scenes giving an excitement to stay focusing on the screen!!!shin min ah was the star of this show and I think she carried the worthiness of the show with her facial expressions that are most suitable for funny roles, it was the first time I watch a drama for this actress and heard that she was so good in previous dramas so wanted to try it as from the poster she seems to have a charisma to make this drama one of royal korean rom-com and really just seeing her from the first scene wearing these socks at the wedding of her ex made her looking so funny that I wanted to know more about this interesting character, though son hae young is a character written on the premises of being calculative and materialistic wanting to benefit from every single chance as she suffered from her mother and that foster home her parents opened for not getting enough care but in the core hae young is the best to protect and loving her foster sisters when she can't give up on gathering them under her care being concerned about every problem facing her two adoptive sisters so the character of hae young is lovely and strong, always being honest and stealing the spotlight through all the show!!!!
I think one of the most funny scenes that shin min ah portrayed was when she attended the wedding of her ex, indifferent for the fact of being his wedding and taking pictures in the foreground besides the groom and brides and donating money as a congratulatory for their wedding was a strong start of the drama showing the firm and amazing funnily personality of hae young in addition how kim ji uk proposed to hae young in the part time market job bringing her a bunch of her jelly packets she liked the most!!!!
kim young dae's character was for the first time the most successful one cause I am used to see him a cold and ruthless person with repellent facial expressions in his two dramas moon in the day and the forbidden marriage that I hated every character he played but I was wondering how he will look in a new unusual role for a rom-com and regarding many watchers praising his role so here was the surprise, alongside shin min ah together they shined as a beautiful and amazing couple in this drama, their chemistry is the most firing and attractive among the noona romance ever seen so I liked all the scenes including these two actors and kim ji uk appeared to be mysterious for hae young but I empathized wity his character being abandoned by his parents and being bornt out of wedlock and raised by his grand mother so son hae young and her mother lee eun ok gave him the real meaning of being among a family even though it was a fake marriage but surprisingly I liked the character of kim ji uk as much of liking son hae young, so the first leads was so outstanding and marvelous adorning the screen while watching them all the time!!!!
han ji hyun portrayed the character of nam jae yeon the lovely and friendly girl, though always being smiling this girl was unfortunately insecure from a hidden and dark part she lived under the aggression of her unjust and evil father and her mother whom abandoned her but I was glad to see the warmth hae young gave to her adoptive sister caring about her and sharing the same house so this strong bond between female leads though shaked sometimes was so good and worthy to watch!!!
lee sang yi portraying bok gyu hyun is an amazing second male lead to mention him importantly as his entered the life of jae yeon in a funny way but he was a healing character for her, falling for her unexpectedly while they started on bad term in their first encounter when he was attacking her novels but the progression of their relationship was so fantastic from enemies to lovers they added more beauty to this rom-com alongside the first leads!!!
I liked the most among this drama the episode 11 was the turnpoint that made me rating it 10 when I started with 8 then 9.5 but couldn't stand just to give it a complete mark still seeing the amazing acting of han ji hyun when really portraying the role of the girl being afraid from her evil father and screaming in his face and the scene where bok gyu hyun hurried for saving her from the grip of her criminal father and how son hae young though knowing the father of nam jae yeon being the killer of hae young's father, she couldn't gave up on her foster sister cause jae yeon is innocent but their sisterhood was stronger than anything could be happening to shake it!!!
the scene of hae young letting ji uk going in his way for not being restricted in this fake marriage was so painful for both of them but the end shown that no matter it takes long time being separated their true love will make them being together again cause they are needing each other at every moment...
the annoying scenes for me was when hae young discovered that kim ji uk was one of the last forster childs her mother raised him, she threw a tantrum over it as she shouldn't did it when it wasn't his guilt to be abandoned by his parents and the scene of bok gyu hyun wanted to firing kim ji uk from the company just for being his half brother and illegitimate child of his father and how that affected hae young to be fired too and first leads were forced to divorce for her to stay in her position at work but all these events vanished when didn't lasted for a long time as the story was carrying beautiful and magical moments to fix all the problems happened between all characters to bring ultimate sweetness while watching it so it is deserving 10 with merit that shouldn't be missed!!!!
I liked all the support characters especially ahn woo jae who though cheating on son hae young but he was a great character added but his facial expressions were so hilarious and liked the scene how hae young dumped him being so powerful in addition to kwon yi rin who was so lovely and amazing character and cha hui song the adoptive sister of hae young acting so good to portray what is the meaning of real family though not being blood related!!!
episode 12 though was saddening at the start when running the funeral of hae young's mother and being painful moments but it was so impressive to see a relastic acting for hae young whether being funny or sad but as this drama is titled to be a rom-com so the funny side of the story didn't leave it till the last moment of the drama!!! it was so smart after adding grief moments to the story how the funny side was included again to not make a melancholic ambiance in the final so that twist was so greatly done!!!!

Waste of Time & No Substance
The biggest let down of the year 2024. Doesn't even deserve a final rating of 8.5. It belongs to 7.0 rating category. The first few episodes, well 1 to 2 looked promising but don't be fooled, once you reach the middle of the plot to the last, everything is extremely flat and boring. No character development. No redemption for shitty characters. A bunch of red flag characters. Some comedic scenes aren't even funny but feel so forced. Chemistry between both FL & ML is nonexistent. ML can't act and always looks so stiff and expressionless. The only time ML can get an expression out of his face is when he is pushed to the extreme, but even the emotions he would let out is not even at par with FL acting level.
Cheating and polygamy being highlighted. No girls girl here. If you are in for the junk then feel free to waste your time. Overall, the story itself has no substance. Overly cringey. They used the same old tropes yet still failed to meet a good execution mark. It's mediocre start to useless finish. The ending is completely flat. The worst and a complete downgrade to all romcoms out there in kdramaland.

I have finally decided to drop this drama...
Many may be confused why I waited every week for the episodes and then just gave up on episode 10, so I want to clearly want to explain my thought on this narrative. This story felt like a slice of life comedy since no matter what dramatic situation the character was in there was a bit of a comical twist as well as a deep topic with a dark turn.
Example:
One of the fl sister is in a polyamorous relationship, the fl found out and thought one of the sister's partners was cheating and beat him up with rage (filmed in a comical way from the exaggerated attacks comical) then finds out she is pregnant.
Another of her sister wrote spicy novels and a the CEO finds out his mum read it so spammed it with hate from shock. While serving his community service from the hate comments their romance arc started but then it touched on the sisters trauma with the harshness of the comments leading to her abusive dad.
In conclusion the side plot bought in dark situations from everyday life but added some comical element to not make the side story not too dark.
Or some stories are just comical e.g the fl planning a wedding just to get her cheating ex boyfriend's wedding money back
But all of these drastically contrasted the main plot e.g. the potential chaebol that became an orphan who is now looking for revenge is just deeply contrasts all the other topics written in the show and makes it seem so dramatic because it really stuck out for me. Which was not funny, just serious and very stereotypical. I think this just really put me off because they primarily shifted the focus to that plot which annoyed me.
In summary this is MY OPINION about this drama, I honestly found the main plot , the whole chaebol thingy just so boring because it is a very saturated market and has been around since for ever so I got bored and decided to drop it...

the leads became the second leads?
Overall the drama is good, light and funny. Its a good show to watch when you feel like having a good laugh with some romance. The comedy scenes are really quite funny, even during serious moments you will be shocked by the sudden change in vibes. That being said, halfway through the drama the second leads gained a large amount of attention and their story was cute indeed (haters to lovers). So towards the end actually the second leads started getting more screentime and cute moments...hahaha which eventually extended to their own spinoff drama
The starting episodes of the drama were really good but the last few episodes felt very dry for the leads. Glad the drama was 12 episodes because there wasnt any big plot they were trying to solve or anything.
Overall it was a cute a fun drama!

No Gain No Love- while everyone praised tf outta this drama, I highkey hated it. spoilers aheadAn above average drama, which leaves a very bitter aftertaste because of such terrible writing towards the end. Very unsatisfactory indeed.
This drama certainty could have been a masterpiece, if the writer hadn't completely thrown the plot out the window.
Things I liked-
Progressive writing for the most part.
A strong headed, kind and compassionate FL.
Green Flag ML.
The sisters and their relationship with each other.
Adults acting like adults instead of throwing tantrums and shying away from topics of sex like pre-teens.
Pointing how important it is to be a good parent, and not having a kid if you aren't ready to have one coz the damage parents can cause their kids.....
Things which I didn't like-
Most of the cast's acting was good but ML's bad acting was actually jarring to see, and it sucks coz he was THE ML
No backstory for ML??? Like hellooo, he is the male lead??? He didn't even have a personality except being a "green flag" tbh.
Second couple overshadowing the first couple in their own story? What was the writer even thinking-
No resolution for FL's ex?? He just took her credit and suffered no consequences for plagiarizing and cheating.
While for more than half the drama, getting promotion was FL's goal, in the climax she was left just a struggling start up CEO, worse than before??????!!!!!!! She just took her demotion like a doormat without doing anything when she was all like LET'S FIGHT TILL THE END. It was so out of character for an otherwise very assertive FL who doesn't take shit and always takes a stand.
And also lest we forget, what was the HR doing here when they were so quick to jump on a report of FL abusing a newbie? What were they doing right now? Sleeping?
The shitty ending- In the end she was left begging to SML, her boss who unfairly demoted her through abuse of power and gave her idea and rewards to someone else(her ex). And SML's audacity to call HER the bad guy for leaving his company????
Things that made no sense- On that note, how were the SFL and SML even together? Like how did SFL not mind that her boyfriend has demoted an extremely talented employee unfairly, that too HER SISTER (what about all those claims of loving and wanting to protect your sis)?? Like how did SFL not mind any of that?!! It absolutely makes zero sense.
In the end, SML seems like a jerk, a bad guy to me. So I can't even be truly happy for SFL and SML moments which sucks coz their moments overshadowed and took up the time of ML and FL too.
Usage of stupid tropes- What was that stupid noble idiocy trope in the LAST episode? For a drama, that was only subverting tropes since the starting, the last episode was just filled with stupid tropes. Very ironic.
Filial Piety Propaganda- No suffering for FL's mother and all the shit she put FL through by neglecting her? In the end, she is looked on as the angelic mother who fostered so many kids, while FL and her suffering is ignored, no one acknowledges or even validates FL's mother neglecting her unfairly and how FL was the one just left suffering. (dad died, mom got dementia) Even during the funeral, the vibe was that the mom was right to foster so many kids (at the expense of neglecting her own very daughter). Very very disappointing for a show that was trying to put across the message "only have kids if you're ready so that you don't traumatise them for life."
No resolution for SML's parents?
No backstory for third sister and why she even stuck with FL all these years?
And the way I may actually be forgetting even more plotholes.
The writing was a full on mess to say the least. I have no idea what the heck was the writer even thinking in the last third of the drama. And I have no idea how people are even singing this drama's praises by overlooking the jarring, blatant, in your face plotholes.
Just one word- ridiculous, that's what the last third of the drama is. Even the first third and second third of the drama was downright boring, objectively speaking, at least there were no issues with writing that time. And for a drama that's named "because I want no losses", the main leads certainly took a lot of losses. I believe "Because I want losses" is more of an apt name. Certainly don't recommend this drama.

Choppy
The first few episodes are the best from the series, then it kinda goes "meh" with some highlight moments in between. The story overall is intriguing enough. But the script and editing feels choppy, with no easy flow. The last 2 episodes also, it feels there is a rush to wrap things up with ultimately a predictable lukewarm ending. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the hype for the series. Lastly, I was surprised from the Spice up our Love crossover.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

The leads got shortchanged
Shin Min Ah absolutely shines as Son Hae Yeong who in the hands of another actor would probably be a very misunderstood character. I love her range from being organically cute without any over acting like in the scene she's munching away on the kimbap with her chair pushed back out view in the car and does her little moo to breaking my heart when she confronts the pain that her parents caused her. Genuine foster parents are very important, but I agree with the advice for people considering fostering that if their biological children can't handle it well then fostering is not a good fit for their household. Hae Yeong was just a child who still needed to be cared for and they put their own needs to be saints above their daughter. It also hurt her every time someone who became family would leave her. All she wanted was a stable homelife and to be loved in return, she doesn't even hate the foster kids. She fiercely loves the sisters that came back and stayed. Sadly the show also put the happiness of all the side characters above Hae Yeong.I loath all the side pairings which also has the worst characters Gyu Hyun and U Jae, both of whom are scumbags who abused Hae Yeong in a professional setting with Gyu Hyun the creep who both spammed Ja Yeon with hate comments as well as making his secretary do it then demoting Hae Yeong out of spite because she's married to his father's extramarital child and U Jae who dumped her to marry up, creepily stalked her after he's married, and stole her work and keeps failing upward. It's so much worse that the show chickens out and makes it that Gyu Hyun did not write the worst hate comment, they don't even let his character growth count for anything. He also never rectified what he did to Hae Yeong. He should have given her all the money she wanted for her start-up as compensation. The lip service to the polyamory storyline ends in the most heteronormative way with Hee Sung marrying the one guy and having the child instead of getting an abortion and being the independent person she wanted to be.
I did enjoy Hae Yeong and Ji Uk's romance. He knew who she was, but truly got to know here as they gradually built up their rapport through their interactions at the mini-mart and supporting her schemes. I also like how their first meeting made sense because it's her house that he was staying at and was trying to walk by to avoid her while she was contemplating smoking for the first time and he just so happened to have a lighter which foreshadowed their future as co-schemers turned lovers. He actually looked better with his longer hair, it frames his face very nicely. Ji Uk's story was also swallowed up by the annoying side characters. I would rather see his friendship and brotherly/fatherly relationship develop with that guy that was formerly the Bok family secretary and settle his angst with his birthmother. Hae Yeong and Ji Uk deserved their fantasy ending being happy in love, snuggling with their cat Baby and her with a successful business venture instead of ending on a kiss after reuniting post a long separation.

Bright start but a poor development of the characters
The start was fantastic! We have a strong story, a female lead (FL) that seems intelligent and ambitious, and a handsome male lead (ML) that is strong, sweet and has his own convictions. We also have good side characters. At the beginning, their stories seem to take almost equal attention as the main story, which makes sense as the series advances. However, the development of the characters is so bad, specially the FL, who becomes very annoying (Min-a is a good actress, is the character who becomes insufferable).
Just when you think the FL is finally evolving and becoming less selfish, she strikes again with another tantrum. The perfect example is episode 10, when the ML really needs to hear from her that she loves him. Well, she didn’t not say it and in top of that, when she realises that Ji-wook was one of the kids her mother took care of, instead of asking for his reasons to hide the truth, she only explodes and says she is disgusted by him. The ML losses all his convictions and he becomes a total FL pleaser, he is immensely patient and always demonstrating his love for the FL, and she keeps being her annoying self.
the FL’s sister/friend and the Chairman’s son had a much better character development… it looks more and more as they were the main characters and not the originals.

Refrescante
