I literally went through every emotion watching this

This was a show i was really excited to watch and honestly it exceeded my expectations. I wish i could just forget the entire thing just to watch it again? i literally love every single cast member and omgggg THEIR ACTING?!?!? Amazing. I expexted the ending although it was really sad, i liked how it was a realistic ending and not one where he would magically find a cure ALTHOUGH I DID WANT HIM TO LIVE. I dont even know how a show is capable of making me die of laughter one second and make me ball my eyes out the next? The ending when Haejo said "Youre the last scene of my life. Well then i guess i had a good life" absolutely broke me. I hope i see them in another Kdrama together❤️❤️❤️

masterpiece.

i was hesitant to start this drama, but im so glad i gave it a chance. its truly a masterpiece and i would have regretted not watching this.
the plot is unusual; kidnapping your ex from her wedding isnt exactly normal but did i like it?... yes... the storyline keeps you on your toes.

i initially watched this for woo do hwan, and he exceeded every singleeee one of my expectations. his performance here is one of his best. he conveyed his emotions so genuinely that i found myself crying SO many times. its no surprise this was created by the same writer behind its okay to not be okay, my alltime favorite drama. knowing they shared the same writers made me hit play right away.

every detail in this drama felt intentional and meaningful. a lot of people are mad about the ending and saying its sad but imo its bittersweet, which only adds to the emotional weight of the story. while part of me hoped for a happy ending, i appreciate the sadness, it made the drama even more impactful. i felt so attached to the characters because of the backstory we get to learn.
with all the actors delivering mature performances, avoiding the same old tropes of immaturity. that quality sets it apart. dare i say this is one of the best dramas of 2024.

ill definitely be recommending this drama to all my friends, if you haven’t seen it yet, i hope this review convinces you to watch. you wont regret it!

The chemistry is off the charts

First of the story was amazing, having a rekindled relationship instead of one from scratch made the story tension so much more entertaining and lee yoo mi and woo do hwan were too good at it, the casting was so good even for SML i loved him too. Honestly watched this how for lee yoo mi because shes so talented and her work in strong woman was so dissapointing, not because of the acting per se but the writing was too much and all over the place.

I just love this show so much, it was pretty depressing at times and Hae jo was an asshole when he ran away from jae mi but it was all worth it, atleast the ending helped.

Would really recommend this show to new comers to kdramas too honestly.

More Than a Rom-Com with emotional realistic story telling

This drama made me very emotional, after a long time i have watched this kind of succcesful drama in that aspect. It is very funny and sad at the same time.
With emotional depth and incredible acting from all the actors specialy woo do hwan Lee Yoo-mi s acting are praised by lot and made it very relatable.
I wonder why they named this drama as only romcom. It is mix with life aspect reminding me my mister drama.
It's not your typical rom-com, and it offers a more nuanced and complex look at love and relationships.

It's a drama that lingers in your thoughts long after you watched it.
It avoids cliched plot devices and predictable character arcs, providing a more authentic and engaging viewing experience.

As person who appreciate unconventional storytelling and complex characters i love this drama so much. offers a more grounded and realistic portrayal of human relationships, friendship ,love ,loss and family. The characters' interactions feel genuine and relatable, making it easy to connect with their stories.

While there were lot of popular dramas that got high ranking of charts and websites recently which often rely on exaggerated plots and melodramatic unrealistic and cringe story lines, Mr. Plankton offers a more grounded and realistic approach.

Even though it is was very sad ending ?, this realistic Ending made the drama more quality work rather than a tidy and idealized resolution. This departure from conventional happy endings resonates with viewers who appreciate a more grounded approach to storytelling.

And also, cinematography in is stunning ?.
It captures the beauty of the Korean countrysides and the city of Seoul.
If you're looking for a K-drama that will make you laugh, cry, and think, Mr. Plankton is definitely worth checking out.
This drama shines brighter than lot of dramas that were merely popular but lack quality.

Strong characters, realistic portrayal of relationships, and excellent acting make it a standout among recent Korean dramas.

Funny, cute and veryyy sad

i definitely didn’t think id love this kdrama so much, i just started watching it for the main cast ofc mainly for woo dohwan but i loved the story soo much, the pace was perfect and every ep was soo entertaining, i cried almost every ep cuz the acting was soo good and i could feel every single emotion that the cast portrayed? i loved all the characters and how different and unique each one of them were, i also love the ending, the sad ending was unavoidable since he was dying and even tho it was sooo sad it was still the best ending in my opinion, both main leads stories break my heart but at least they experienced real love even if it didn’t really last unfortunately☹️ id love to watch this again… definitely worth the time and id definitely recommend??

Even though you know the ending it's worth the watch.

What can I say about this bitter sweet romcom. From the first episode it makes you more than aware of how this series will end, but the more you watch it the sadness you feel is not because of the ending but because of the life they ended up having and the mistakes they made along the way. The male and female leads act their heart out. Between the playful fighting, the constant chasing and running away from everyone and everything, we see a beautiful love story between two broken, and in their words, unlucky people.
We witness, through flashbacks, their first meeting. We see them fall in love and live a beautiful life together as a couple. We also see their breakup.
After they have a chance meeting at a hospital whereby they both get bad news. The male lead then kidnaps the female lead from her wedding (he wants to find his biological father, and wants to take her along for the ride), and their bitter sweet love story commences.
All I can say is, yes it is definitely a sad story (you see it from the beginning of episode one), but the traumady is not as harsh as I was expecting. It shows that as long as you are with someone you love in your final moments in this world your life would have had some meaning, and you are the luckiest person to have lived.
If you want a typical happy ending story (boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl get married) then don't watch this drama.
If you want to watch a bitter sweet love story, that looks at all aspects of love (family, friends who are like family, partners who become your family) then this is the series to watch. Well worth the 10/10 stars ? ?
