Finding your own happiness
Kang Ji Won taking her revenge, growing and finding her own peace and happiness is all very dear to me. Her character was just so wonderful and wholesome, I am so happy she found her happiness and took back control of her own life. This show was really good from start to finish, even if episode 12 was maybe a little rough for our couple – I didn’t care and it wasn’t even as bad as people said, honestly, some were incredibly dramatic lmao.Ji Won finding two new girl-friends was just so pure and beautiful, and all three of them being happy in the end fulfilled me too! I wish we would have gotten more of Eun Ho x Hee Yeon and Mr. Lee x Mrs. Yang because they were all so cute in their own way, but the show didn’t give them as much room 😔. I also think that BoA is not very suitable as an actress for this role, her acting was really bland compared to Song Ha Yoon and Park Min Young, who acted like rent was due. Overall, very satisfied with this show, I am happy to know that it was successful and that we got the most beautiful K-Drama wedding ever!❣️

This rant is from a couple weeks ago lol, anyway:
One thing that has bothered me a lot while reading the comments on this page, is that people seem to be too focused on the "taking revenge" part of the story. In my opinion this show isn't about revenge, it's about self-discovery and self-growth. It's about finding peace, and getting rid of something that has ruined you before but that you won't let define you this time. In her previous life, Ji Won put herself last, not even second or third, but last. She was never her own priority, people walked all over her, she got sick and then she was accidentally killed (but how much longer until MH and SM actually killed her?). In her second life she gets a new chance. She gets to get rid of SM and MH, yes, but she also gets to change her appearance, she gets to learn and do new things, she gets to enjoy life, she gets to meet new people who truly appreciate her, she gets to find her inner peace without needing anyone's apology in order to get it.
Her newly found self isn't perfect, and we see how it's a slow progress because she was abused (twice) after all. People complaining why she didn't leave MH once she travelled back are so... annoying? Are you watching the show? Do you understand the characters? SM is a scumbag because she likes taking things and people away from Ji Won. It happened with Eun Ho in highschool and it happened again when she stole her "other half's" husband. If MH isn't Ji Won's, there is no fun is stealing him from Ji Won. Because THAT is the catch. SM is truly a deranged and nasty woman because she does everything in her power to isolate JW from anyone so that she is the only person ever (which is, surprise, pretty abusive).
Ji Won is playing mind games, planting insecurity and at the same time a sense of superiority into SM and MH's minds. They THINK she has no idea, but of course she does. That's the whole plan. Ji Won is not a weak woman here, she's a victim of abuse - several kinds of abuse actually: domestic, emotional, physical. Like, she's BEEN through it. And you want her to be normal about it? Do you think she's healed in 2 seconds just because she took revenge and found a decent man? You don't heal from stuff like this that quickly. Sometimes, it comes back. And we get to see that from time to time.
That's it, anyway, the show is great. I like the visuals and the acting as well as the OST! The cinematography is also great, especially in E11 when JW and JH went to the beach 🥰🥹 I'll go more in depth once the show is over.

Good until Episode 11
I'm not a big fan of cliche romance flicks, especially one involving weak female characters waiting to be saved by a rich, almost perfect male lead. Hence MMH was not on the top of the list of K-dramas to watch. However, after seeing some rave reviews on various platforms, and since I was in the mood for something light-hearted and fluff, I thought to give this a try.The storyline was pretty captivating all the way until episode 11, then it really started to go downhill on logic, pacing, character development etc. Things just started going all over the place, almost like the writers were just throwing out options on which ending scenario might work best and doing some market testing.
The actors tried their best and as much as I liked seeing Na In Woo as the ML, thought there was decent on-screen chemistry between the ML, and was enjoying the character design and development of the villains, the last 5 episodes were a complete let down. Messy logic flow, missed opportunities to develop great sub-plots with the secondary leads, repetitive 'brave' talk that didn't really deliver in terms of action. The FL just kept psyching herself up and building up expectations on her 'revenge' plan, which in my opinion, was really weak.
I blame the script and the scriptwriter, it was like they swapped the original scriptwriter out after episode 11 or didn't pay him/her enough to produce quality work. It was like a 3 course meal with an amazing starter that whet the appetite (time-travel + revenge plot + character development plot), have a solid main (decent cast, good development of sub-plots and some plot twists), only to be disappointed with a terrible dessert that almost makes you forget how great the starter was.
Was gonna give this a 6/10 rating given the disappointing ending, but given i kinda enjoyed two-thirds of the whole series, gave it a +1.

Romance is A Bonus, Second Half Mess is A Destiny
Marry My Husband. The title seems intimidating. At first, I was thinking that I may get a story full of intriguing and complex marriage. It isn't wrong though. However, the writer packs the story so well that makes it lightweight and easy to watch, yet not missing out the point. The lead Kang Ji-Won gets a second chance to fix his miserable marriage and life. Park Min-Young does a savage job in this role. She takes us into the journey of her second life. We already know the ending, and now she comes prepared. But everytime she does something, she always makes us guess: Will she cause a better outcome? Will the ending change? She brings us into this circle and makes us keep wanting to see the outcomes more and more. We keep wondering, will the villain suddenly regret? And the answer is always a no. Yi-Kyung and Ha-Yoon potray these villains excellently. They all seem innocent from the surface, but once an evil will always be and evil. It may need to take a life for people to change, but going through everything only make them more and more vicious. It is all a really enjoyable story... until the writer stupidly adds Yu-Ra in.The addition of Yu-Ra is no difference than hopelessly adding a serial killer to a romance story. The stories around her seem hyperbolic and unreasonable even in this kind of fantasy genre. The way she messes up with Su-Min's family does not make sense. Same thing with the threat to Eun-Ho. How does he come into her mind? Eun-Ho barely knows Ji-Hyuk! It is just like a hopeless premises that need to be added for the sake of episodes number. Like there is a straight road, but they decided to take a turn to an unpleasant gravelly path. This show might be better if they focus on the main goal and packed into 12 or 14 episodes.
The overall story is pretty good. Although I think Ji-Won should push Ji-Hyuk more to find out his goal. Because she knows that the reason she get the second chance is to get a revenge, so there must be a reason for Ji-Hyuk too. However, Ji-Hyuk always reluctants to discuss about it. And everytime that happens, Ji-Won annoyingly just gets over it easily. The story then hit by a hurricane, again, after Yu-Ra appears. Every character suddenly has a sixth sense, as they all know other people's secrets and what other people are planning.
On top of that, this is a really good show since it is kinda easy-to-watch. It tells us not to be blinded by other people try to sugarcoat everything in front of you. You need to be more cautious, take a step back, see clearly and look wider. When you feel betrayed, fight it. For me, this show is categorized under incorrect genre: it is more like a thriller. Romance? It is a bonus!

WAY TO START 2024
If you're contemplating whether to watch it or not just do it cuz this is definitely a must watch and it is sooo much better than a lot of kdramas out there...THE PLOT: The storyline is simultaneous with the webtoon and the delivery is amazingg....they've really brought the webtoon to life....there are a couple variables here n there...some are great the others not so much (the entrance of miss yu ra for example) Overall you're in for a hell of a ride with this one and it's like basically a whole package of romance comedy betrayal and revenge and to top it all off we have our badass female lead...
THE ACTING: The actors here are insaneeee like they're really good at what they do.....at first I couldn't really see lee yi kyung and song ha yoon play villains cuz their previous roles have been soo different (like laughter in waikiki and fight for my way) but goddd they served!!! The way they portrayed their characters is just wow.....song ha yoon was amazing as the psycho best frnd and like can you even imagine lee yi kyung as a cheating husband who's gonna kill his wife....like they were just so good (fr i've almost forgotten the soft song ha yoon from ffmw). Also not to forget our main leads: park min young was spectacular as always and did an amazing job (specially all that weight loss just so she could look the part of a patient was just insane like the dedication to do that fr) and na in woo was the best eye candy fr (i do feel like his character lacked a bit of depth but thats fine)
Also the chemistry was great but like that's not the main thing that's going on so it's shifted to the side a bit but romance was there.....like u get it just some really impressive work by these guys..
THE THINGS I PERSONALLY DIDN'T LIKE: The addition of yu ra- like wth she wasn't even in the webtoon and she sure wasn't a genius idea istg the drama was going so well till like the 10th episode and then this lady comes out of nowhere and it's just annoying...i feel like they added her plot just to increase the number of episodes (as if shorter kdramas don't work here smh).
Also the pacing was a little slow after half time (compared to the webtoon). Plus the romance wasn't as great (or prominent) as the webtoon one which is a shame but honestly the plot makes up for it (even tho we all secretly wish they had more scenes)
Also they really started adding some kdrama cliches which was a little annoying tbh (like the psychotic ex gf, the truck accident etc.)
THINGS I LOVED: The side characters: godd they were good like in their own ways they did amazing....even tho they were the side characters they had their stories too.....Also the depth they've added to mr. lee's character here is a really great addition...Plus obv the whole plot was done very well
SO CONCLUSION: GO WATCH THIS IF U HAVEN'T ALREADY and give it a rewatch if u finished haha cuz the pros definitely outweigh the cons by a high margin

incredible acting and good story
I've started reading the webtoon at episode 12 so I didn't finish it yet so I can't compare it thoroughly. I know there are some major differences but I liked the drama a lot. especially the acting, all actors gave it all, Sumin (SongHa Yoon) was an incredible villain and I'm happy the actress got this recognition same as the main male lead JiHyuk (NaIn Woo) who was mistreated at first by k netizens for not being handsome enough, I'm glad they finally open their eyes and see how much potential he has and how much he personified the character so well. They all did such a great job, I was a bit disappointed at certain scene (eg : end of episode 14) about the acting performance but it was only a few ones. the overall drama is quite good i liked the performances, the making as well how the scenes were proposed. when we had flashback the layout changed to 16:9, and the colours faded w kind of sepia. I also liked how the main character evolved at some point i was like "wtf don't become the villain" but at some other scenes when she could see herself in the mirror it was my most emotional and favorite scene. supporting characters are very lovable too. I think I'll watch it again later ♡Esta resenha foi útil para você?

(a mulher ainda mata a sogra à sangue frio)
ENFIM, é um típico clichê de vigança? É, mas que ainda vale a pena.

a good revenge story
having a second chance to change your path and your life choices, and for the better. how amazing it will be if we all can do that right? with realistic situations, friends like Soo Min do exist in real life and it can be less severe but still..while yes they shoudnt be called a friend but you know there is those type of people who are close to you pretending that they care about you but they are just jealous and wanting to drain your happiness, the plot is interesting, and i loved the chemistry btw the mls, the only thing i disliked is the appearance of O Yu Ra, her character was not only so annoying but the acting was poor and her appearance made the show wilder (about the events) but thankfully its just the few last eps, in general i loved itEsta resenha foi útil para você?
What a blast year to start my K-binge watching again?
Well well, I'm starting of my review with my first watched K-drama. I had a lot of fun with this Korean drama. Was it perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I still had a fun time and I thought it had a satisfying ending. I loved watching Kang Ji Won change and become more confident. I loved watching Yoo Ji Hyuk support her. I even loved watching the villains because they were so deliciously evil. There are a lot of things to love about this drama. It was quite the wild ride. I might be a little bias with this drama and its' review though because I do love these revenge/makjang stories.WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THIS DRAMA
THE ACTING - l thought the acting in this drama was quite good. Multiple actors/actresses in the cast took on roles they never did before and pulled it off well. I definitely had never seen them do these types of roles before and I think I was able to appreciate their acting more because they took this risk. Especially the actors/actresses who took on villain roles for this drama. The cast made their characters and stories believable. I was not taken out of the story because of their acting which is a good thing. When a villain can cause me to ABSOLUTELY hate them, that is a sign of good acting.
THE REVENGE - I did read webtoon like a year ago so I don't remember much and but there were some scenes from Webtoon was included and excluded y'all. I thought the end was very satisfying. I loved watching the revenge play out and see the villains get what was coming to them. I also liked that there were twists on what I assumed would be the ending for the villains. I thought the revenge part of the drama was tightly written. I had a blast watching the revenge. I also liked watching where the points in Ji won's life played out and what character they went too - some sad but others were fun to watch them be assigned to the new character.
THE VILLAINS - THE VILLAINS WERE SO JUICY IN THIS DRAMA! I assumed that Park Min Hwan being her husband would be the big villain in the drama. That turned out to not be true and I loved that twist in the story. I thought the person they chose to be the ultimate Big Bad was a better choice and it made the ending so much more satisfying. The villains' acting in this drama was so good and believable. I had a lot of fun watching how evil they were.
THE COUPLES - I honestly was not expecting multiple couples in this drama. I thought it would be the lead couple and maybe a second couple. WE GOT THREE COUPLES AND I LOVED ALL THREE!! I liked them all for different reasons. I even liked our horrible villain couple because they deserved each other. I enjoyed watching all of these couples' relationships progress. I loved the sweet moments with all of them. I loved that the couples were different ages and had different attitudes. I thought all the couples had great chemistry with each other. I loved that I could root for more than one couple in this drama. I also loved that these couples supported each other's relationships.
THE ENDING - I thought the ending was a highlight of the drama for multiple reasons. One reason is we got a satisfying ending when it came to the revenge. Everyone got what they deserved. I was satisfied with how the revenge played out and who ended up with what. I loved that there were twists that I did not see coming and some characters got an ending I didn't think they would get. I liked that the good characters I was rooting for got their happy ending. I also loved that we got to see the happy ending that our lead couple got in the end. I loved that we got a wedding and a look into their family life. I loved to see all of couples supporting each other in the end as well. I loved seeing where our villains all ended up. IT WAS JUST A REALLY SATISFYING WAY TO WRAP UP THE DRAMA!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
LESS EPISODES - I don't think this drama needed to be 16 episodes. I think it would have been even better if it was 12. Maybe because the one thing I disliked was what everyone else did not like. That was the addition of a certain fiancée that showed up in episode 12. I think if they had reduced the episode count down to 12, they would not have needed that unnecessary character.
ONE STORY ARC/CHARACTER NOT NEEDED - The fiancée was not needed. I saw her as a way to extend the story for a couple of episodes by adding her as an additional villain. She just added more drama to play out for a couple of episodes before the true revenge could start and everyone could get what was coming to them. I think we had so many good villains already, we did not need to add another. I think everyone can agree with me that she was not needed.
What I was feeling here is that in flashback scene where Hui Yeon speaks to Ji won about her brother's engagement where she spill the tea of the fiancee's psychotic madness in the past but she doesn't seem to have that extreme level of madness. And lol, she was ugly and plus I don't remember the mentions of an ex-fiancee. So what y'all think

Typical for a Comic,But surprisingly Well made as a Drama.
I did actually Read the Manhwa First,Then later heard there will be a Drama based on this Manhwa. Honestly i didn't have much expectations because this type of story is really hard to put in a drama style,cz its very easy to come out as a cringe story. But i was really surprised when i see that they really made it well.Story: I am sure its not new for many.Specially those who love to read manhwas, this type of story is so common there. But yes you'll definitely love this drama version.
Cast: I love Min young,i follow her drama blindly because she is a very good actress.I feel so connected while watching her drama. She didn't disaappoint me as well.very well acted. I love lee ki young "Gwenchena" guys.but he made me hate him too. The character who impressed me the most is Jung soo min.what a fine actress!!!! she is really a gem!! she played a villain role who always make u disgust. And she is so beautiful, her skin is like glowing all the time. Acting/Cast gets 10/10 from my side.
Music: Okayishh..
Rewatch: i hardly rewatch any drama. So may be i won't rewatch it either.
overall, highly recommended. If you like a Revenge genre drama, then surely Go for it....

It's okay, great at times but derailed at episode 11 onwards
kang ji won suddenly lost rationale during episode 12 (the quality of script and progression became worst going forward) where she invalidates the ml and can't accept that he has a prior engagement that he broke off at both timelines btw, i get that she has trauma when it comes to cheating but holy sh*t. everyone pretty much ended up dating the other opposite sex that is available....sweet but not very good writing, there is even this one instance where mr. yu is wondering why his sister likes the chef, yeah that doesn't have a build up although i predicted that it will happen because of how they look (they have chemistry when it comes to looks alright) but other than that then what? kindness? cooking skills? the looks? well still there is no buildup. anywya there is a LOT that can be pointed out but you don't have to try hard enough to ignore it for the most part and it was enjoyable, 6-7 out of 10.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
