Episode 9; A beautiful end for

EP.9 was truly beautiful, it compelled me to write a review about it. The episode started off with such a fun filled journey to the wedding with them trying different vehicles to get to their destination and the beach and beach night party, them getting to know each other a bit more.
Then came the wedding of the cute couple and then Day & Mhok perfect dance..the perfect blend of song and their pretty dance steps made it so gorgeous, I could not keep my eyes off of them.
and then the trip after the wedding to the mountain meanwhile also covering Day's family past relation with his dad and present relation with his brother and their emotions and his own personal feelings, gosh it was beautiful.
And then the beautiful scenes of Day and Mhok becoming one and it was not in a beautiful place but its their presence with each other that made it all perfect and worth it; it was so lovely and precious.
Then journey to the mountaintop, came the moment when they were finally at the top of the mountain with Not the pretty Sunlight warming the mountains which they originally wanted to witness but a cloudy day and not so satisfying ending of Mee...but then as they looked further and opened their hearts and soul, they could finally see that beautiful Last Twilight and the pretty sunlight and the rainbow and everything shining the brightest. They could finally understand why Mee became a statue and gazed forever at tha twilight: Such a precious moment in life that you could spend forever in it.

It was so beautiful, the way they were describing it first that I could also see that scenery even before the cinematography showed it in the drama and I was already crying when they were describing it.
And finally the last and the most precious image of Day seeing his beloved the last time and Mhok finally breaking down, realizing it. And they just accepting it and hugging each other with that beautiful Last Twilight. It was beautiful end for Mee and could be for Day as well.

This episode could have been the best last episode among GMM's series. I'm looking forward to what the other 3 episode have in store for us but I have a feeling they won't be able to beat this EP.

Overall drama is also best, I love the fact that they didn't jump on each other from the start like most other BLs. Day and Mhok took their pretty time getting to know each other, the bad and the good, their past and present and the important people in their lives. They took the time and then finally accepted it that yes this is the person they had fallen in love with.
The drama of Day relation with his badminton buddy kinda made me sad and mad about it but I was glad how it turned out and that it ended soon.

Acting: I will be super honest here. I NEVER thought JimmySea could pull off such a drama to made me cry and write a review about it. I knew Jimmy was before and loved him. But when his ship partner was finally revealed to be Sea I was not really excited but I was excited for Vice Versa and then it came out and many people said how it was not good and their ship was also not that good, I was so disappointed. I also saw clips of Vice Versa and was not satisfied that the drama was not exciting enough in further episodes and their chemistry was also not that chemistrying with each other so never watches Vice Versa.
Then I saw them in Our Sky 2 special episodes and it was so adorable that I quite liked them both, I was finally accepting their ship and since then I liked Sea as well.
When Last Twilight first trailer came out, I was soooo excited cuz I absolutely loved this concept, I was afraid to be disappointed again like Vice Versa but still having faith cuz that trailer was awesome.
And now that its airing I wait every single feakin week for the episodes, only few dramas have made me wait for them like this. I usually binge watch it once its fully release but only sometimes some dramas force me to watch them as soon as the EP is released and this is one of those dramas for me. Their acting have goooonne uppp so high can't believe its really JimmySea. Its top notch acting. I have seen Jimmy acting before so I know he is good though he has improved a lot in this drama and I keep on looking at Sea trying to find flaws in his acting as a blind person but I can't seem to find it. So I will give an applause to Sea for doing this character so good. Mark and Namtan is also doing such a good job, as well as all the other side actors, they are good at their characters.

Story: I absolutely love this blind main character concept so not arguing on that, I love it. And I love the story of Mhok's character as well. So its always a 10 watch for me.

Rewatch value: gave it 6 cuz no series is as good as the first time. Can watch this one again as its really lovely but like I said at the start, Day and Mhok took their time understanding each other & I love it but we can have patience only the first time while watching such series, second and after times watching is only good for the exciting and cute and thrill parts only.

Music: its really good as well, I'm a kpop and music lover so I have known more best Osts and songs then this ones have but its still above average compared to other Thai series Osts..its more nice cuz they have put the perfect songs at the perfect times. I loved that song when they were dancing in Ep.9.

last twilight is a real masterpiece

i’ve known jimmysea since vice versa and i was super excited when gmm announced that they’re gonna play main roles in last twilight. the eleven-months-wait for the airing was a torture, but now i can say for sure that it all is 100% paid off. i love every single detail about this show, cuz everything is just perfect. jimmysea’s acting is on another level; it can’t be put into words how much i’m proud of them. they both did an amazing job, you can really see it. since i am a jimmysea stan, at first i thought that it would be a little difficult for me to watch the series and see the characters, not the actors. but ever since the first second of the series i was so captivated by their acting that i never thought of them as jimmysea – while watching last twilight, i see the story of mhokday. the plot is really unique, and i’m so proud that jimmysea are the ones who got to play in such an amazing series. p’aof is truly a genius. this show teaches us to never lose hope and treasure every single moment of our lives. you never know what’s gonna happen tomorrow, so you have to enjoy your life and live it the fullest.

last twilight divided my life into before and after. i’ve watched so many bl series, but none of them made me feel the way last twilight does. i love this show with my whole heart, and nothing will ever change it. i hope that many people will enjoy this series. if you’re still doubting whether or not you should watch last twilight – i can guarantee that you’ll never regret watching it.

Can I start by saying that the title of the series is so beautiful. It literally depicts the entire theme of the series.

I did not watch Vice Versa so I am totally zero when it comes to anticipating the pairing of JimmySea though I saw Bad Buddy so I am familiar with Jimmy. But the chemistry is definitely more than what I expected. I can't describe into words but it feels like they are really destined. (Edit: I decided to watch Vice Versa and I realized that I should have watched it way before)

The acting is great (It isn't easy to act blind and Sea nailed it), the story is totally beautiful, and cinematography is perfect (how can i expect less from P'Aof?). The story of both main leads made me wish that I would find a love that is as pure, honest, and beautiful as them (where can I find my own Mhok?!).

The visuals are to be expected. hahahaha. like Doc Jimmy?

Totally a must watch. Been a bl fan since 2019 and this is definitely in the top list.

THE FADING OF THE DAY INTO TWILIGHT IS NOT THE END, BUT THE BEGINNING OF LIFE AND LOVE

'Last Twilight' is a coming-of-age story of self-discovery that will surprise and excite you through the two young protagonists, played by Jitaraphol Potiwihok (Jimmy) as Mork, and Tawinan Anukoolprasert (Sea) as Day, whom we have already seen leading the cast artistic of “Viceversa” and “Our Skyy 2”. With this, their third leading role, the young actors seek to consolidate themselves as a ship within GMM25.
Written and directed by Noppharnach Chaiwimol (Aof), renowned director, screenwriter, producer and actor who has dramas such as 'My School Presidente' and 'Moonlight Chicken', both from 2023, among others, presents us with a story that not only seeks to make LGBTQ+ people visible, but also seeks to represent blind and visually impaired people, as well as the reintegration of the individual into society after spending time in prison.
Has Aof realized the dramatic potential of blindness and visual impairment to bring us a story on the subject? The social image of blind people has gone through different phases and, to a certain extent, has overcome the usual negative and stereotypical attitudes. Television is also responsible for the perceived public image of disability. Therefore, the representation of blind people in television programs contributes to the general perception that society has of this group.
Will it be Day's destiny to inspire pity, compassion and marginalization? Will the story focus on his struggle to overcome his limitations? Will the series revolve around the facet of his rehabilitation from a hopeful perspective? Is it intended to offer the image of a person who rehabilitates himself and lives a life that tries to get closer to the most normal that his circumstances allow? Will a story prevail in which the blind character seeks social integration? How to make a story with these characteristics, when in current filmography it is rare to see the person with a disability like any other person? Isn't it due to the fact that audiovisual productions show disability as a medical issue rather than from a social perspective? How to succeed in the process?
Aof has drawn on the changes produced in the way visual disability is represented in film and television. He also knows how society has evolved in its understanding of disability.
Taking all of the above into account, it would be appropriate to ask ourselves: to what extent does the series portray a blind character from a positive perspective? To what extent does it represent, and therefore promote, the progressive inclusion of visually impaired people in society? Is one of the purposes of 'Last Twilight' to contribute to enhancing the general perception that society has of disability? Does Day have a fully developed personality or is her character fundamentally defined by her disability? Does the series reflect Day's character as a unique and distinctive personality or is his disability the main focus of the plot? Is Day's personality unique because his character expresses the desire for independence and not wanting to be pitied?
What is Day's level of inclusion in the community? (considering that this includes areas such as inclusive education, employment, residential environment, community participation, recreation and social activities). What are Day's interpersonal relationships like with the people around him? Will your character move away from the stereotypes with which the visually impaired have been reflected in film and television?
TECHNICAL-ARTISTIC ASSESSMENT
Aof makes a triumphant return behind the cameras to create an entertaining product that had a sufficient dose of credibility in its cast for this plot to revolve between cold and warmth, between detachment and tenderness, suffering and illusion, discouragement. and optimism, darkness and light, although the viewer can, at times, decipher the story for themselves, including the final twist. I don't even doubt that this is one of the reasons why 'Last Twilight' is watchable and enjoyable. It is in its own way dreamy, in its own way hopeful, thanks to Jimmy and Sea's chemistry and the questions it seeks to answer.
With a pair of irresistible protagonists and a straightforward love-overcomes-adversity story, 'Last Twilight' hits the spot for the BL fan market. Others will also be able to enjoy it. Aof tries to fight for the desire that his work show a universal feeling, that knows no genres, and is close to anyone.
Although present, sex is not the mainstay of the relationship. Instead, Aof highlights looks, words, silences, gestures as a connection of feelings. In this sense, the series moves away from a common cliché in gay-themed cinema, which rarely seems concerned with delving into the emotions of its characters from a perspective that does not necessarily imply an immediate sexual attraction.
Without superficialities or exaggerated fuss, 'Last Twilight' tells a romance without causing discomfort and trying to find a universality that brings it closer to a majority audience. The series will touch the hearts of many people because it comes with a suggestive and different narrative when we talk about love stories and gender issues.
The mixture of captivating fiery and total trust between the two men is represented in the photograph, totally serene and at the same time always active, but very subjective.
There is no doubt: the public is faced with an irrefutable fairy tale that can win many followers due to the lyrical way of capturing the concerns of youth. Its episodic rhythm allows us to easily access this story about identity and sacrifices, about breakups and reunions, about pain and hopes.
The series cleverly emphasizes the sensual aspects of a coming-of-age story. Strokes of humor, tearfulness, self-improvement, sacrifice and fantasy give a welcome texture to the softness of the romantic novel. Audiovisual in general works despite its formulaic layout and loose ends.
This ambitious series, well shot, without shame, manages to maintain the charm of a plot made to please lovers of the genre. Premiered on November 10, 2023, the entertainment production company is committed to continuing to be a pioneer and leader in the creation of BL series, both originals and adaptations, with 'Last Twilight'.
Also in its good work with the cast, in addition to the aforementioned leading actors, Aof has other well-known faces in the company, such as Tipnaree Weerawatnodom (Namtan), as Phojai, Mohk's ex-girlfriend and friend; Pakin Kunaanuwit (Mark), as Nigh, Day's brother; Premsinee Ratanasopa (Cream), as Ramon, Day's mother; Thipakorn Thitathan (Ohm), as August, Day's sports partner and first love interest; Rachanun Mahawan (Film), as Gee, Day's friend and badminton partner, Kunchanuj Kengkarnka (Kun), as On, Day's friend and also a blind person, among others.
The series follows the love story of a young athlete who has lost his sight after suffering a traffic accident, and his caregiver. When Mhok, burdened by debt, agrees to be the caretaker of a blind boy named Day, they will both know true love. The two characters maintain a complex relationship, since each one is tied to a problematic reality.
The protagonists of this youth drama that promises and at times declines with a predictable course of events, brim with charisma. The story, which could have been told better, has plenty of heart. I would criticize him for saying that he is rich and he is poor, because to political correctness it would seem like just another melodrama.
Not exempt from melodramatic clichés, the program is original. Its director avoids the pitfalls of the typical audiovisual production of homosexual initiation, and presents us with a beautiful and tender story that will inevitably make you fall in love. Mohk and Day's relationship demonstrates that many people in the LGBT+ community are united by their sexuality, but they are also united by love, and it is a love that they have fought for and won.
Playing on the series' title and the name of one of its two protagonists, contrary to the fading of day into twilight, the effervescent nature of young love is deftly captured in 'Last Twilight'.

PLOT
Day, a player on the Thai national youth badminton team, has begun to lose his sight after suffering a traffic accident. Faced with the impossibility of having a normal life, he accepts Mohk as his caregiver because he senses that Mohk does not feel sorry for him. As the young people begin to get to know each other and get closer, Day will know that in approximately 180 days he will lose his vision completely.
Day considers that his disability represents a burden on his family and society, as he is unable to take care of himself. Hence the need to have care personnel and supervision by a psychic. He believes himself incapable of living a successful life. That is why he permanently abandons his studies and sports, and withdraws from his friends, from whom he hides his blindness.
Day has been rejecting all of his previous caregivers, because he does not want a person by his side who treats him like a sick person and feels sorry for him. After losing much of his vision and thus his autonomy, Day begins to treat everyone with disdain and turns his warm and kind personality into a colder and more distant one. He practically lives locked in his room and maintains contact only with his mother, on whom he is very dependent, his brother and his friend On. He blames Night for the tragedy he experiences. He will meet his father, as he divorced his mother when Day was still a child and was raised without his father's presence.
“I don't know what he looks like, all I know is that Mohk is the only one who doesn't feel sorry for me. “It doesn't make me feel like a disabled person,” says the character played by Sea to those close to him, while Mohk reads him the novel that gives the series its title and they strengthen ties.
That's why Day opts for the mechanic who was involved in a fight and just got out of jail after serving a one-year sentence for a misdemeanor. He will hide the fact that he has a criminal record and that is why he cannot find work in his profession.
Mohk will understand the challenges that a blind person faces.
This is how Mohk will initially become Day's mentor, guide and protector. He understands, like no other person around him, his need to relate to the physical and social world. It teaches you techniques to orient yourself and move in space, as well as to acquire habits of personal autonomy. His primary priority is for Day to know and accept his visual situation. For this, communication and complicity between the two is vital. He judges that Day needs empathy from his peers, above all.
His eyes are going to be Day's eyes. Your voice gives you confidence. Mohk will be in charge of creating soundscapes that will allow Day to imagine the world around him. Their hands, intertwined or attached to the rope as they run, create an imperceptible route that Day automatically makes his own.
Mohk is the first to discover that he is in love, but he keeps his love a secret. Some of the reasons why Day may feel insecure about himself will be the same reasons why Mohk begins to love him.
This relationship will be tested when August, Day's friend, reappears and enters his life once again. The dormant feelings are reborn and Day will confess to Mohk that he has had feelings for his sports partner for a long time. Initially, the caretaker will help Day chase August, but August will end up recognizing that he sees Day as just a friend.
That's when Mohk will confess his love, but Day is still heartbroken. It needs time to heal. The bonds between the two protagonists will continue to strengthen as one cares and the other grows as a person, until Day finally opens up to love. Physical attraction will soon turn into a deeper emotional bond.
From two different worlds, although, at first glance, they do not seem to be the most suitable person for each other, little by little they will get along until they forge a friendship as solid as it is unexpected. This will give way to an unusual love relationship that makes sparks fly and light up the night.
Mohk would become to Day the same as the rose to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's little prince: although it resembles the other roses in every way, his rose is unique because he has chosen it. And like the fox in that novel, it will allow itself to be “tamed” by its caretaker. Mohk will take responsibility for what he has tamed, while Day will take responsibility for his rose. The strategy used will be the same one proposed by the fox. They will sit on the floor at first a little far from each other. They will look at each other out of the corner of their eyes and say nothing. But every day they will be able to sit a little closer...
By domesticating it, then, they need each other. Mohk will be unique to Day, while Day will be unique in the world to Mohk. This is how Day will come to understand that happiness must be understood as a reward and not as an end. As the main character in 'The Little Prince', Day will understand that no one is ever happy where they are.
Mohk will be someone capable of taking care of everyone, not just Day. She recovers her sister's car, her only legacy when she died, and defends Pohjai from her abusive boyfriend and gives her shelter in her house. He will take care of her unborn child. Meanwhile, he will find work as a chef to prove that he can protect Day. Pohjai will become an accomplice in the passion shared by these two boys.
For Mohk there will only be one situation in which he feels unable to help his lover: he cannot save Day from completely losing her vision. Day will compensate, if it can be said that way, for his dedication and love, choosing his face as the last thing he sees before being totally blind. Mohk will cry out of rage and helplessness at not being able to help him under these circumstances. However, their destinies will be inextricably linked forever.
The trite phrase “love at first sight” has no place in the relationship between the mechanic turned caregiver and the blind athlete. In matters of love, the first has more experiences, while the second is a self-conscious person because, on the one hand, he has never been able to see the face of the boy he loves, and on the other, this is his first love experience, which he would have to add that the same is with a man.
The two characters are totally different, but that won't stop them from loving each other. In addition to the differences in social classes, one of them is still suffering from disappointment in love, while the other, a heterosexual boy who is very popular with women, is not happy because he has not been able to find the right person. They both need to regain the strength of love.
As they find love in each other, Day also gains independence, gaining self-confidence. That pathetic and pitiful person who believed that because of his disability he would be incapable of living a successful life, ceases to exist. In other words, stop being your own worst enemy. Smile again. Little by little, his bitterness will give way to joy and the desire to see all the sunrises.
But Day will face a dilemma: would he allow a beloved, free-spirited person like Mohk to end up tied to a disabled person? Was I being selfish? Wouldn't the right thing be to let him go so he can live his life without a burden like he is? “You want to push me aside even knowing that I love you. Grab your dreams and live them with me. Don't let them survive us,” is the message from Mohk, who sadly sees how the boy he loves abandons him. Will they travel different paths? Will the same love separate them? Will Day understand the meaning of the phrase “What is essential is invisible to the eye,” said by the fox to the little prince?

Finding light in unexpected places

It would be wrong to assume that "Last Twilight" is just a typical BL series. It weaves an intricate tapestry of love, emotions, disability, dependency, tragedy and acceptance. It is not a story of the two main characters but a journey that mutliple characters undertake in this 12 episodes.

The main plot revolves around Day, an athlete who is slowly losing his vision. Frustrated by his disability and fear of being pitied by people around him, he loses all motivation to leave his room. Mhok is a mechanic who is down on his luck. Incarceration and loss of his sister teaches him to turn over a new leaf and he decides to be Day's guide.

The brilliance of the series lies in its nuanced portrayal of Day's journey. We witness his initial denial and frustration, the fear of becoming a burden, and the struggle to redefine his identity in the face of his disability. Sea's performance is nothing short of masterful, capturing Day's vulnerability and strength with raw emotion. Every trembling touch, hesitant step, and averted gaze speaks volumes about his struggles. Mhok is the perfect counterpoint to Day's emotional turmoil. Jimmy brings an endearing roughness to the character, hiding a heart of gold beneath a tough exterior. His initial reluctance to care for Day gradually melts away, revealing a man yearning for connection and redemption. Their interactions are a slow burn, fueled by unspoken anxieties and a dependence on each other.

As I said, this is not a typical BL series. It also explores the relationship between Day and his brother Night, a stark contrast in personality yet unwavering in support. The wise guidance of Day's coach offer moments of warmth and hope. Day's mother is overbearing but understanding at the same time.

The series doesn't shy away from addressing the harsh realities of living with a disability. Day's growing dependence on Mhok is never romanticized. The frustration of everyday tasks, the fear of isolation, and the constant uncertainty about the future are portrayed well. It is in these moments that the show shines brightest, highlighting Day's unwavering spirit and his determination to carve a path despite his limitations. The use of touch, from Mhok's gentle hand guiding Day to Day's exploration of the world around him, becomes a sweet connection between them.

In conclusion, this is a beautifully crafted narrative with stunning cinematography, and unforgettable characters offering a refreshingly honest and nuanced portrayal of love, loss, and finding light in the face of difficulties. This is indeed a journey worth taking

"You changed my life, Day."

This was a beautiful journey, from beginning to end. Emotionally charged, carefully crafted, and you can tell how everyone gave all their passion into this drama.

Like, can y'all believe these two did 'Vice Versa' just 2 years ago? GROWTH, darling. All they needed was a better script and a director who could truly grasp their full potential as both individual actors and together. Cracking chemistry that can move a viewer to tears easily. I truly believe they carried the show.

That being said, I do have a couple 🤏 reservations when it comes to the writing. Obviously the best written BL drama that came out of Thailand in 2023, but still, I can't pretend like the writing was flawless. Some character decisions fell a bit short of logic for me, and a little more focus on the supporting characters would've been nicer in the 2nd half. HOWEVER, that's just me being nitpicky and annoying lol this was awesome.

*BIG SPOILERS AHEAD*
As in usual style, the last two episodes were definitely a let-down compared to the rest of the drama. A bunch of illogical conflicts were thrown in to use up the time, like a stupid break-up that could've been easily resolved with a bit of communication and even a time skip. Besides that, I hated that sudden eye donation twist in the last 5 minutes. I thougt we would finally have a healing story about a blind character that shows hope in life despite of it all because it would've been so realistic. I really don't get why they had to shove that last part in 🤦‍♀️

Anyways, overall, it was still such a good watch. I'm pretty sure I won't forget about how it made me feel anytime soon.

I'll be out here... missing them 🤧

That it's one of the best series, there's no question about it and that's where my rating comes from, I respect all those viewers who experienced it to the fullest (and that's what it's all about) and shed hectoliters of tears worldwide, because this series hit a large part of the world of BL viewers , but I'll take a few digs anyway, don't take me too seriously.
I had a lot of fun with the opposites in the first episode. The brawler and brawler, Mok, a stubborn debt-ridden slob, who has also been in prison, with a girlfriend and, as a contrast, Day, a stubborn adult child, perhaps spoiled by his mother and a little spoiled, and in the next episode, a very fast incomprehensible turn ... From a wolf, he became a lamb with a whip, from a greased up hetero mechanic to a patient nurse in love with a young man, and Day's character suddenly changed quite a bit as well. Here, I would have liked more time for mutual "learning", grinding the edges of the characters, instead of the fact that in the next episodes the time was increased with cotton wool such as walking, cooking, running and other more or less lengthening scenes, and the plot stood a lot except for the matter with August. then everything will return to the first plan, counting on the assumption that the audience will be wistfully talking about how poor Day is blind over the slow-moving plot ... and they would go crazy with tons of snotty tissues and tears in their eyes even if it was filmed Day going to the bathroom to poop and unable to find toilet paper.
On the other hand, the blindness was played very nicely and convincingly by Day, and kudos to the creators for a very tasteful and sensitive portrayal of a blind person, I mean it quite seriously and now again a little lightly - so nice that after the first eye surgery, the instrumentalist nurses apparently blew through his bandage hair dryer and hair straightener. But for a long time, I didn't believe Daya actually had feelings for Moka. Mok, that's a chapter in itself, it's cuteness in itself. I liked the character of Phojai (but also some other characters in the series), no hysterical and heart-wrenching scenes like how her partner "turned gay" and doesn't love her anymore. In ep.11, I was turned off by the predictable "artificial" breakup, instead of Day proving to his mom, who has to ask when he can fart, while he is a disabled but grown-up guy, how much he loves Mok and that he could leave with him despite his mother's ban and Mok, his love, would be able to take care of him even without his mother's money. And with Mok banging against the wall, that was a scene where I couldn't believe Mok and laughed out loud with rage at how they artificially lengthened it to make the last episode even sweeter. What bothered me the most about this series, which caught the attention of so many viewers, including me (!), was the incredibly fast transformation of Moka in the second and third episodes, the somewhat long-winded and sentimental slowness of the first plan, and above all the separation for a few years, I really hate that in Asian projects, and also that a relationship based on falling in love has to be worked on in order to grow into lasting love, and that requires an agreement, mutual respect, sanding the edges and not immediately insisting on a breakup (in that case, the one who insists on a breakup cannot to love the other to the bottom of the soul and to seek a compromise), that's why I can't give the story a ten.

A good show that could have been amazing

I didn't expect to love this show as much as I did. For the first 10 episodes I was HOOKED. I couldn't wait for the new episode each week, it became MY show. The one where I would sit down and never get distracted because of how invested I was.

I loved seeing the relationship between Mhok and Day grow how each of them were able to help each other, how Mhok was able to get Day to come out of his shell and how both of them were able to realize that life really is beautiful and worth living.

Then episode 11 happened.

Listen, as much as I love this show, I couldn't even finish episode 12. I was already disappointed with whatever the heck episode 11 was, and then there was a time jump. I rarely like a time jump, but I thought, maybe I'll just stick it out and see if episode 12 can kind of redeem itself. While there were some cute moments, Mhok flirting up a storm and Phojai and Night getting ready to marry each other, but I had already seen a couple of spoilers and I was just getting a bad feeling, so I fully spoiled myself. And honestly, based off the spoilers I did see, I'm pretty okay with not finishing the episode. I still feel like I got a full story and I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

If anyone is reading this and thinking about watching, my suggestion would be to watch till episode 10 and then call it good. I promise you're not missing much.

Best BL of All Time

Don't say no more, it belongs to the greatest BLs of all time in the history of BLs. It's not often GMMTV produces a BL that is genuinely great, let's be honest. The story concept really fits JimmySea's image.

The OST? Spot on! Though, i thought Joong was the one who sang it haha they have the same singing voice. The minor characters are great. There were just some sloppy writings towards the end.

An unwanted opinion, the script almost felt like they were antagonizing Mhok by always baby-ing Day. I felt like they didn't delve enough on Mhok's side. Just my cents.

Overall, one of the best out there.

"Last Twilight": A Luminous Finale to a Tale of Love, Growth, and Cultural Splendor.

As the final credits roll on "Last Twilight," I find myself reflecting on a story that was as stunning in its narrative as it was in its presentation. Each character's journey was a testament to growth and resilience. Night's learning curve through her brother's mishap, Porjai's renewed trust after betrayal, and Day and Mhok's painful yet growth-inducing breakup were masterfully showcased, culminating in a culturally rich and respectful marriage ceremony that was nothing short of beautiful.

The chemistry between Jimmy and Sea, who brought Mhok and Day to life, was palpable. Their performances were not just acting; they were the pure embodiment of their characters' souls, bringing a raw emotional depth that resonated with authenticity. The mature handling of their relationship, characterized by open communication and emotional intelligence, was a refreshing departure from the often dramatic and concealed nature of television romances.

Night and Porjai's narrative was a masterpiece in subtlety, proving that sometimes less is more. Porjai's portrayal was stunning, and Mark's versatility shone through, demanding greater recognition.

However, the series wasn't without its minor flaws. Day's portrayal of blindness sometimes missed a beat in logical consistency, leaving room for a more nuanced depiction that could have lent greater agency and realism to his character.

In its entirety, "Last Twilight" was a celebration of television's potential to craft stories that resonate deeply with its viewers. Its end marks the culmination of a journey that has been as much ours as it was the characters'.

To the cast, especially Jimmy Sea, Mark & Phojai, to the director, the crew, and every single hand that contributed to this series, your work has left an indelible mark. Thank you for this journey, and may your future endeavors be just as impactful and cherished.

BL addressing captivingly a difficult topic, very memorable moments but wish for different ending

This drama revolves around the relationship of Day who faces partial blindness and Mhok who is hired as his caregiver. This BL has a very interesting plotline which addresses in a gripping way the topic of disabilities. The subject is discussed in the series through several angles: the perspective of the person having the disability, the perspective of his entourage, the way the world see him and how he perceives the world...I liked a lot some of the parallelisms done in the story, in particular thanks to a very special book featured in the drama.

The story is not without flaws but those are minors comparing to the overall quality and excitment the show provides. The pacing could have been a bit better as well as the treatment of some of the secondary characters. There was also a certain predictability to the overall scenario. I was expecting some scenes, it lacked a bit of surprises but was still very well done. I regret a bit a specific scenaristic choice made for the ending. I was expecting the series to take that road but still hoped the series would have gone into another direction as I think it could have been even more meaningful in that way.

The casting was generally good. Mark Pakin has a support role and is excellent (as usual) in it. I personally think that the overall series would have been less good without him to carry a storyline that could have felt flat and one note with a less talented actor. It is my first time watching the Jimmy X Sea pairing and they were very good together...Their chemistry was very convincing, it is not about lust but rather about love and care in each other...It was truly pure and enjoyable.

The OST was quite standard with one nice romantic song but I was bothered by some of the background music, the melodramatic music was sometimes overused and overwhelming..It was supposed to amps up the drama but it lacked subtlety and was a bit too much for my taste. In terms of production, there are some really memorable scenes with some good filmmaking and directing choice. The production value is quite in line with most of similar production but it is the way some scenes were filmed and some of the direction choices regarding for example the disability of the main character that are making the difference and elavating the series.

I would recommend this to people looking for a BL story quite deep and which is very healing while approaching a difficult topic. Its treatment of disability feels relatable and real. The acting was solid and despite some minor flaws in the writing and questionable scenaristic choice in the ending, it is very worth the time as it will leave on the viewer a lasting and resounding impression.
