Cutie Pie: Special Episode (2023)

Waste of time, only watch if you are a big ZeeNunew or a Cutie Pie fan.

What was the point of this series really? I only watched because I love ZeeNuNew and TutorYim's chemistry. That, and Nuer and Syn of course. But where their 3 mins of screentime worthy of me watching this? Nah. I regret it heavily. So glad it's over. The only good thing was the cast, chemistry and the music.

I was hoping the writing would have improved for part 2, sadly it didn't! Kuea is even more annoying than he was in Cutie Pie. Seriously all this time and he's learned nothing? He still acts like a toddler and handles things like a baby most of the time. UGH. Sad that the writers didn't have him evolve like Lian did. The only thing I liked was NuerSyn. Okay and ZeeNuNew's chemistry that was the draw for me. This could have easily just been one episode. Why drag it for 4? The plot made no sense when it was dragged out like this. It became boring, senseless and frustrating. Mostly it just left me in a bad mood with how annoying most of the characters were.

I only give it 2.0 Because of chemistry between ZeeNuNew and TutorYim + NuerSyn's sweetness. The rest was awful. Not watching this ever again. Like with Cutie Pie I appreciate what the writers were trying to do with marriage rights etc but again they failed for me. If they wanted to touch on sensible topicis write them better and esp write your main character much better. sigh. Oh well forwards and onwards, just hoping other DD series are better than this if not I'm gonna end up disappointed.

Short story

It's such a shame that we only got 4 episodes of them. I would have watched them for a very long time. This series, this couple, really became one of my biggest favorites, so now my heart hurts because it ended so soon. The story was a bit confusing, it could have been worked out better, but that's because it was only possible to carry the story through 4 episodes. But overall I liked the second season as much as the first. The wedding night scene didn't make me swoon. To list these two negatives. The series was too short and as much as we saw them fall for each other in the first season, for me there was not much happening here...

Fan service...

Fan service, fan service as far as the eye can see you will get fan service... Couples getting together, kissing, people taking off their shirts and innocent and child like adult treated like most woman are portrayed gets it on with a mature stereotypical male ... Making this one of the gender convention wise most heteronormative portrayal of gay relationships I have ever seen.

To be clear I am all for mixing it up and portraying what usually counts as feminine traits in people who seen as me as a good thing. However when it is portrayed side by side and present in all the couples it becomes more complicated and less progressive... catering to the feminine eye...or something like that.

That said the story. was ok, nothing wow about it, there is not much of a plot so if you are expecting a plot or something the least bit meaningful that we could exhort in season one you will not find it here. At all, But it you just want an add on to the first season, to see more of the couples of season past. This is a decent place to find it.

Pretty much perfect for those days when you want to ignore the obvious and just be entertained by beautiful people touching each other in beautiful settings.

Also theOST has to be the most mismatched OST I have ever heard... the words do not fit the situation at all...

Adesso mi sento vuota.
Guardando la prima stagione ci rimasi male di come non avevamo avuto il loro matrimonio nonostante questa serie fosse incentrata praticamente solo sul matrimonio, allora pensai che sarebbe uscito un episodio speciale, seriamente non mi aspettavo ci sarebbe stata una seconda stagione.
Quando l’annunciarono rimasi stranita ma allo stesso tempo scoppiai di felicità, fin quando scoprii che ci sarebbero stati soltanto quattro episodi, dal trailer sembrava dovessero accadere un botto di cose e seriamente non riuscivo a pensare come sarebbe entrato tutto in quattro episodi, inoltre speravo in più episodi.
La prima cosa che ho notato in questa seconda stagione è il vibe completamente differente dalla prima, è così diverso che mi sembra una serie a parte. Devo dire che effettivamente amo molto di più questo vibe, la prima stagione era troppo rigida secondo alcuni aspetti, invece questa seconda stagione sembra più viva e felice, non so ma ho notato questa differenza.

Riguardo Kuea e Lian, hanno fatto tutto così difficile co sto matrimonio, tutto un casino aiuto.
All’inizio avevo paura perchè non vedevo Kuea molto convinto e non capivo il perchè, poi ho capito e mi son resa conto che giustamente doveva prima prendere una decisione riguardo il suo futuro, poi soprattutto con il fatto di aver ricevuto la proposta dall’agenzia è entrato in uno stato confusionario. A quel punto mi ha fatto veramente piacere che ne abbia parlato con Lian, di sua parte ho amato come Lian sia stato così comprensivo, senza appesantirlo e dandogli tutto l’amore possibile, sostenendolo. Purtroppo si vedeva ugualmente il dolore negli occhi di Lian, da una parte penso che comunque oltre alla sua forte voglia di sposare Kuea, c’è anche la situazione che per lui il matrimonio non poteva essere spostato perché effettivamente parlando ha un’età (lo sto dicendo come se avesse ottant’anni, sto morendo) e quidni bho non so se ci stiamo capendo, invece Kuea è molto giovane e ha una vita d’avanti quindi gli sembra più semplice posticipare.
In ogni caso è andato tutto bene fino al giorno del matrimonio e lì aiuto che casino, mi è dispiaciuto tantissimo per il segretario, dopo tutto quello che ha passato ha bisogno di una visita psicologica ma soprattutto di uno stipendio bello abbondante, si è solo esaurito con tutti i vari problemi.
Mi è dispiaciuto un botto poi quando è piovuto, erano così tristi, anche Diao era tristissimo, quasi più di Kuea. Lì mi è piaciuta la forza d’animo che hanno avuto, l'importante è avere l’un l’altro, una pioggia il giorno del loro matrimonio non può rovinare la loro relazione.
Quindi nulla, mi ha fatto morire come è stato scelto il prete, ce lo vedo un botto, e nulla si sono spostati, inutile dire che lì mi sono fatta uno di quei pianti che manco la pioggia di prima. Ho pianto tutta me stessa, stavo aspettando questo momento come i bambini aspettano il natale, vi giuro. Sono troppo felice.
Poi ovvio al lancio dei fiori mi son detta “Mo sicuro lo prende Yi o Diao” e vai a vedere avevo ragione.
Sinceramente pensavo che finisse col matrimonio ma penso che questa fine sia molto bella perchè veramente mi stavo chiedendo che fine avesse fatto tutta quella situazione dell’agenzia, quindi ci hanno dato anche questo finale, carinissimo peccato che nella realtà l’avrebbero subito cancellato scoprendo che fosse sposato (ma a questo non ci facciamo caso).

Parlando di Yi e Diao forse è meglio che non parlo…no dai fatemi spiegare.
Loro carinissimi e tutto peccato che la rigidità nella loro relazione è ancora viva e vegeta.
Nonostante tutto quello che hanno passato nella prima stagione per riuscire a parlarsi dei loro sentimenti, pare non abbiano imparato nulla dalle loro precedenti azioni.
Incominciamo con l’esempio che più mi ha turbato, cioè il pretendere da parte di Yi di controllare Diao quando sta fuori.
Nonostante Yi sapesse che Diao stesse nello STESSO HOTEL O CHE CAZZO È QUELLA ROBA, lui subito ha mandato messaggi dicendo di tornare così e collà, cazzo vuoi bello, Diao è adulto quindi ciò significa che lui esce DOVE vuole e PER TUTTO IL TEMPO che vuole, non sei suo padre che gli dici a che ora deve tornare eccetera, lui deve fare ciò che vuole. Eppure così è stato e non solo, quando Diao è tornato ha fatto di fretta e aveva PAURA che Yi si arrabbiasse, menomale che almeno con la parte della sgridata sì è tolto il vizio, ma vi pare il caso che Diao debba avere paura di essere sgridato? La relazione è fatta in primis di fiducia nell’altro, se state messi così mi dispiace ma sinceramente non credo funzioni. Per questo quando Yi ha incominciato a fare pressioni sul matrimonio subito mi sono opposta, ho detto “Diao, fammi il piacere, SCAPPA”, e ho pensato che sinceramente già li vedevo a firmare le carte di divorzio ahahah, però seriamente a me la loro relazione non pare aver fatto grandi passi avanti ed è per questo che per me hanno bisogno di conoscersi meglio perché non si conoscono, inutile fare, non c’è possibilità tra loro in sta maniera.
Oltre tutto mi sono piaciuti lo stesso, alla fine l’amore c’è.

Riguardo, infine, Nuer e Syn, sarò sincerissima se dico che nella prima stagione non mi facevano impazzire e mi erano indifferenti, che poi Nuer l’odiavo proprio, invece in sta seconda stagione iniziato il primo ep il mio amore per Nuer è diventato infinito e durante tutta la stagione posso dire di averli amati alla follia.
Per me sono carinissimi e c’è ancora bisogno di conoscenza, e mi fa piacere che pare lo sappiano. Purtroppo non ho capito nulla di quella situazione col tempio aiuto.
Poi passiamo direttamente a quella notte in cui hanno dormito assieme, ho visto molti criticare così come moltissimi amare tutto ciò che è successo. Da una parte capisco che le persone volessero vedere di più o magari non tutta quella scena ma personalmente l’ho trovata molto carina in quanto rispecchia molto la realtà ma soprattutto i loro personaggi, ho amato quella scena.
Mi dispiace che non abbiano fatto vedere molto, per questo non ho più da dire aiuto.

Oddio mi sono dimenticata di parlare poi di una scena ben precisa, cioè la scena di Kuea e Lian dopo il matrimonio, stavano aspettando di fare cose da un botto (soprattutto Lian) e nulla l’ho amata. Non sono solita amare ste scene così perché sì faccio parte delle persone che skippano ste scene e che non gli danno tanta importanza, ma vi devo dire che questa ha del speciale proprio speciale. Gli sguardi, l’amore puro e intenso, loro, tutto perfetto e penso sia una delle scene intime più belle mai viste, i loro sguardi erano così intensi ed era come se gli occhi parlassero…stupenda.

In generale devo dire che ho amato questa stagione, sia per il vibe più vivo che per tutto, ci sono stati momenti tristi, momenti felici, ho anche riso e sviluppato un amore per il segretario; diciamo che è stato un finale stupendo e degno di questa serie, sento di amarla molto più di quanto ho fatto in precedenza.

It was four episodes of nothing. Ok, I'm not gonna say nothing because I like Yim and Tutor's roles. And Nunew singing but that's it. The first episode KINDA got me thinking "Hmm, this is better. Lian is more supportive, less toxic." but then the other episodes were so empty and boring. I think Kuea didn't even want to get married in the first place, since he turned him down a few times already. It was so stupid how Nu Kuea just decided to save his body for honeymoon LMAO who wrote this? I can't stand this couple anymore. If it was for me, Kuea would end up with Kon Diao and their tops could end up together idc

'Love is Love'

I am rarely the type to write reviews or comments since everyone is bound to their own opinions but sadly a lot of negativity here makes me compel to write what I felt watching this.

Cutie Pie 2 you is not a series made for popularity or is not looking forward to showcase the perfect ever series. It is a gift to us, a gift to the fans for the success of cutie pie. yes, there were some things that were not upto the mark but the amount of hate here is just astronomical. This is liankuea's story, undoubtedly I love all the 3 couples but it is their own story, so I dont see any issue with the story focusing only on them. Although still the other couples got good amount of screentime. People asking for more nuersyn scenes, I hope ya'll can support tutoryim in Middleman's love and also bed friends.

Comments about kuea's character development, kuea is just 21 he finished his uni the question of choosing between dream and love its not easy. Him being a bit wary before saying yes to marry lian is given he has his whole life ahead its not just easy to say yes to marry but knowing how his whole life lian has been there for him and he has loved him with his whole heart, he is so stern on the marriage. Some comments being on his singing career, Being an idol is not easy you dont get to live your life the way you want so its only given he was worried about it at first, as much as he loves lian he doesnt want to give up on music. Love isnt the only thing that is important in one's life, he did engineering but leaving that he decided to pursue music and it just shows how much he loves it, Kirin is is alter self, both of him as kuea and kirin is precious to him so him choosing both just shows how even with love one should never lose their individuality. Its not easy to be someone like that and kuea even in his young age achieves it. So comments about kuea being childlike is so strange, if you arent in the same position you'll never get what it feels like to be there.

Now coming on to their honeymoon, yes honeymoon and not just a nc scene. Back in cp ep8 they both showed their desire for each other and so how much fast paced and engaging it was, it was their first time and they felt the hurry. But now this isnt the case now. After marrying they know they are each other's from now on. There's no need to be in a hurry. They showed their gentleness, softness and expressed their love to each other. It is not about having sex now, it is about showing how they are gonna be there for each other in everything. Lian is a lot older than kuea he has a lot of responsibilities and is always supposed to be upright but him surrendering to kuea and kuea only by kneeling and showing his vunerabilities to him knowing that now he has someone beside who is gonna love him and take care of him unconditionally. There are hundreds of hardcore nc scenes out there but nothing can compare to what they showed and felt for each other. This is how we people from the community are looking for the representation for. Their love is so beautiful. To think they couldnt stop crying just shows how much they have waited for this moment and want to savour every single moment of each other together.

Yes, Cutie Pie is not your perfect story but is there any story that is. We makes mistakes, learn from it, try out different thing, look for love, go through trials. it is what is realistic. Cutie Pie will forever remain in my heart. The amount of comfort have gotten from is indescribable. Thanks to it I got to know Zeenunew as well. I have never believed in love but it is them that makes me want to believe in it. I just want to tell anyone who is in doubt about watching it, Do give it a try. It is only you who can decide if its worth it or not but without trying you'll never get to know it!

A wonderful disaster

I'm glad it's over.
We have the actors, the characters, the couples we know and love. Also, Nu's beautiful voice. What's wrong then? The story. It was a disaster.
It didn't bring anything new to the table. Same old misunderstanding from the first season.
I liked the first episode, the moments between Hia Yi and Diao, Syn and Nuer, that "meaw" situation between Hia Liam and Kuea. And Kirin, of course.
The last episode was pure drama. I didn't like it. And the moment between Kuea and Lian after the weeding gave me chills. I couldn't feel that amazing chemistry between them that we enjoyed in the first season.
Not bad, but not good. Sorry.

i watched only for Syn and Nuer

the only good thing about this serie is Syn and Nuer tbh, and even they cant save this show, there is nothing going on in this serie, barely anything, its just fan service and i was about to fall asleep when im watching this
i want to see Syn and Nuer in another serie but not a tiktok one, not a 2 mins videos no thank you, so i coudnt watch Our Winter and they have another tiktok one Crush on You ? why!!!!lets stop with those 2 min videos we can barely watch anything. i heard they have another new serie together about jade's character in bed friend so im looking forward for that one, i really hope the plot is good because i cant deal with nonsense and bs like this one and its not that cutie pie s1 was good, no it wasnt. Kuea's character is so frustrating to watch, he is that partner that will stress you out and give you gray hair in your 20-30 age, the guy cant communicate at all and is always whinning non stop. miscommunication happen to couples but he is the worst as 0 communication on his part, and he is great at assuming because thats the only thing he keep doing
the second couple look so stiff and so awkward so i also dont like them that much, the only couple i do love is Syn and Nuer and i really hope for good plot because no matter how much i love a couple, if the plot is so bad i will not be able to fully watch nor enjoy it

Este Cutie Pie 2 You ceea ce trebuie?

In 4 episoade nu ai cum sa extinzi prea mult povestea, avand 3 cupluri de data aceasta. In cuplul principal nu prea am ce sa spun, deoarece se axeaza pe casatorie si pe decizia lui Kuea in legatura cu meseria de artist. In primul cuplu secundar ce s-a regasit si in primul sezon, lucrurile au evoluat foarte putin, iar cat despre al doilea cuplu secundar a fost cam de umplutura, din pacate. Voiam sa aflu mai multe despre ei si despre relatia lor, nu doar sa vad o scena fierbinte si asta sa fie tot.

Despre actori nu am nimic de comentat, isi fac foarte bine treaba si au jucat extraordinar ca in primul sezon, iar OST a fost chiar bun si mi-a placut ca nu l-au schimbat. Daca l-as recomanda? Probabil ca nu acest sezon, insa primul merita tot timpul din lume.

Plot is even dumber than in S1

When you think S1's plot is dumb, S2 somehow manages to beat it. What was the point? Should have given us 4 Episodes of them making out or just being couply instead, I would have given it a 10!
There was some angst about their marriage. I do appreciate that Kuea talked about it eventually and the moment Lian looked so hurt but so ready to support him? Man, I hate Zee, stop making me feel so WEAK.
Yey for the character development (?) of Kuea telling that dude he's got a rich and hot boyfriend like yeah! You go buddy, show off your sexy man.

The whole wedding itself was a big wtf. These guys have been engaged for 20 years and never talked about what they wanted and then threw everything at the poor secretary instead of hiring and actual wedding planner??? Man deserves a raise and 2 months paid vacation.
Also what was that catastrophe plot at ep 4 and then Perth/Jay magically appears and suddenly everything is sunny and amazing again?

The side pairings have great moments, though. NuerSyn are adorable!

Anyway, it was fun while it lasted, while I have a lot to criticise about Cutie Pie, I did enjoy watching it. ZNN's chemistry alone is worth everything.

A fan serviced season.

I love how protective Kuea’s friends are of him and his and Lian’s relationship. First it was Syn in the first season now It’s Nuer. I’m enjoying seeing more of Syn and Nuer and Kondiao and Yi. I also love the way the first episode was structured.

This was a complete fan serve second season and I love that. The 4 episodes had enough drama to keep it interesting without overdoing it and making it seem unnecessary. I’ve grown to really love Kuea and Lian’s relationship.

The acting was good, I really enjoyed it and Foei continued to make me laugh. I could not stop smiling during episode 4.

Finally married.

Totally story was awesome. Lian and Kuea got married. Yi asked Diao that can we get married? and told him to think about what he told. Cute interactions between Syn and Nuer was little bit funny but good.

Starting of the episode Lian proposed Kuea to get married in graduation meet and he said yes to Lian. After that Kuea got offer as a singer from Korean music( i didn't mention the name) company. Kuea wanted to be a singer and also wanted to get married with Lian. And he also discussed with Lian(in this scene, i love how they respect eachother feelings and understandings). On the wedding day, they faced so many obstacles to get married. if you want to know, you have to watch the series.

Lian and Yi conversations was good. Jealousy Lian, naughtiness of Diao, Syn and Nuer scenes are awesome.
