Very good show but the final episode could have been done better
Overall amazing show.I think that it was great acting, casting, music and storyline idea and definitely worth the watch.
As the description of the show suggests, the storyline is based on a deception so if you don’t like the hiding something and the issues when the romantic interest finds out storyline then it is not for you but other than that it is very good.
Very good portrayal of a rollercoaster of emotions and I like that the characters have a bit of depth and complexity to them.
The only thing that kinda ruined it for me was the last episode. It felt kind of rushed and jumbled. I feel like they could have separated it into more episodes and fleshed out what’s going on in the episode a bit more as it does kind of just jump between things and just move on straight away after introducing some things to the plot. It just feels like they knew where the storyline should go but they just tried to tie up lots of loose ends too quickly which I think kind of spoiled it and took away from what could have been a lot more impactful and memorable scenes. And because of that the finale episode was a bit unsatisfactory for me but otherwise one of the best shows I’ve seen.

Lives Up to its Title - Unintentional
Sorry, but this BL is as the name implies - unintentional. There is no chemistry between the main actors and certainly no deep romance. Sure, they 'act' like their is but nothing of any sustainability or believability. These are two separate unintentional and I might add rather unfocused love stories separated by parallel paths but ironically headed in the same direction. Nowhere. Both poorly told but with one more entertaining. The main love interest story, which is certainly not the more entertaining one, is dark, doleful, dull, standard, too Thai-like, and as romantic as watching paint dry. I was disappointed to say the least. It seemed obvious that the chemistry between the lead actors was underwhelming and if you are expecting mountains to be moved by their love connections you had better move on to the next BL. It is just not there. Honestly, there is not even much of an emotional connection either. It really is pretty much standard stuff all done in some form or another endlessly before. The secondary love story is way more interesting but the use of physical violence to get your point across is for me simply knocks s series to its knees. I find it detestable and in no way cute, necessary, or remotely amusing.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
One of my favourite Korean BL's
If you enjoy a fluffy experience with some suspense and drama in between, this is for you.The story is well-written and thought-through. It's nothing too deep but it was entertaining and suspenseful. It had the perfect balance of 'setting the tone' and 'important plot points'. There were some cringe-worthy things here and there but it wasn't too much and easily ignore-able if needed.
The acting was great! Especially Cha Seowon did an amazing job of portraying Taejun here. I was somewhat worried about Gongchan, considering that I knew him from B1A4 only, but he did well. There is room for improvement, sure, but if he keeps at it, I'm sure he'll do even better in his next project.
It's a Korean Drama alright, so you will have 'those' moments. But in comparison to other BL's, they are acted out well and you can feel the chemistry between the Main Couple. It's absolutely adorable.
The cinematography was amazing. Very beautiful camerawork and editing. That's something a lot of BL's are still lacking in, but ULS is a very good example of how it should be done.
The OST for this is also very good. Gongchan and Seowon both have a song for this and I'm absolutely in love with them. The rest of the OST is just as amazing as well though.
TLDR: Watch it if you like a cute little love story with a bit of drama and suspense.

Enjoyable & Lots Of Wonderful Hugs
Acting 9.5, story 7, script 8, good chemistry, kisses short and simple but lots of skinship & tons of wonderful hugs, music 5 (one main song used for almost all big scenes and there were times when the music didn't match the nuances of a scene's mood and pulled me out of it a bit).Very cute and sweet (a couple slightly cheesy moments but they didn't detract) and straight-forward.
The pacing of the main relationship and plot was great all the way through the 10 episodes. Well-crafted tension and a nice long arc of light to medium angst that was resolved satisfactorily.
The lead actors where great in their roles and gave really distinct energies to their characters.
It was also different and interesting having one of the leads being a professional potter.
I will likely rewatch at some point.
GENERAL SPOILERS:
I didn't understand the crux of the issue that continued to hold the second couple back. I did like the actors and how they portrayed their characters though.
I really appreciated how it took a while for trust to be rebuilt between the main characters (not fixed in just one episode); it felt more realistic and was ultimately more satisfying when they reconciled.

When you felt it like it should, you know its never gonna be wrong
Unintentional Love Story was in my park for quite sometime before I decided to give it a try... and I never regret doing so since the beginning. I really felt like SoKor has this sole BL entry who will captivate me each year and I believe this is it for 2023. The title says it all straight and forward as to what the story is all about.. but it didnt cut the chase and give us a full story with heartfelt dialogue instead. The lead acts are both impressive and expressive too that makes it engaging towards the main climax of the scenes. Hope to be able to watch both male actors in their future project soon! Plus, the production does well with the bgm so much that it soothes in every heartbreaking and lovely scenes.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Definitely worth watching
Korean BL with a wonderful cast and actual plot. Korean BLs do tend to have plot because they don't have NSFW scenes, but this one stands out. The acting was superb. The plot moved along at a reasonable pace. They didn't throw in any last minute surprises like cheating or sudden forgiveness on the last episode. It actually had rising action, climax, falling action, the whole story. Real character arc. I am really impressed. Sorry, just so many BLs (especially in Thailand more recently) have been wowing me with the low quality of their work, so when I find a BL that I can really relate to and care about the characters and not wonder where the plot has gone, I get excited. I enjoyed the music, though none of it was specifically outstanding, it was enjoyable. I don't want to give spoilers becaue this one had a fairly predictable plot and if I say how it started, it will pretty much give away the whole thing, but it's still worth the effort. The presentation makes it worthwhile despite it being a little predicatable. As I said before, the actors were spot on. Emotions and imperfections and learning to work through the scars of your past. Seriously, I would watch this again and then probably a couple of months later again and then awhile later, again. Whenever I want a reasonable BL without any cringe and with a good story. Plus happy ending. Love that. Adorable and definitely worth watching.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Amazing plot/story, lacklustre performance
I did thoroughly enjoy this show; I really liked the it was 10 full length episodes. That it majority stuck to the Manhwa, which is one of my favourites. The cinematography was impeccable. What I liked the most was the plot/story which made up for the lacklustre commitment to romance.I feel like Gongchan wasn't fully committed to the execution of the romance. I felt a lot of the time he was uncomfortable with physical interactions. I don't know if he was told by the director to play it like this. He played the emotional dialogue really well. I felt like he played his character as if he did generally like Yoon Tae Joon and I felt his guilty/remorse when he did Tae Joon wrong but when it came to the hugging he didn't really grasp/hold onto him tightly enough to express the emotion that is intended. There was that separation between their heads instead of leaning onto Tae Joon shoulder. And then I think we can ALL agree on the kisses. The classic dead fish kiss. Why, oh why is that still a thing?!?! After Our Dating Sim, that is my expectation. If they had committed themselves like the actors in Our Dating Sim that this would have blown me out of the water and I'd happily consider this my favourite KBL. But again Gongchan looked like he was uncomfortable.
It isn't fair to put it all on Gongchan, like I mentioned already it could have been how was directed to play it and then again it could have been Cha Seo Won. But I swear by it, I did see somewhere an article of Cha Seo Won say that playing a gay character is no different than playing a straight character. I know I have no evidence of this, I've tried finding it again but I just can't come across it again. So I'm bias towards Cha Seo Won because I do believe he would have gone all in if it wasn't for Gongchan being uncomfortable, if he was or not, or Gongchan being told to play it locked lip.
To sum up I just needed a little bit more commitment to the physical affection. Don't do the dead fish kiss if you're not going to fully commit. The hug would have been enough IF that was executed fully.
I am little sad that they didn't fully flesh out the story between Donghee and Hotae. There was a lot more context in the Manhwa. They didn't even show the back story explaining why Donghee is like that towards Hotae. Even with the little time we did see of them I really did enjoying seeing Hotae commitment towards Donghee. Their interactions were solid. I could really feel how much Hotae liked Donghee and wanted to make it up to him.
Also, if you're not going to include the story about the rings don't have them wear it and make it a thing.
Did anyone else see the message at the end? "Thank you to all the viewers who have loved Unintentional Love Story so far" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!

This is very good for a Kbl
So I’ve actually read the webtoon and watched the drama. Let me start off by saying the drama is basically a PG version of the webtoon which is 18+. The drama just completely blows me away. I’m so impressed with how good it is. Because it’s a Kbl my expectations were to say not very high. However my expectations were blown out of the water. I love all the characters and the cast. They all looked pretty comfortable with each other. The story in the drama though is a bit confusing for me. I wondered when certain things would get explained when they just ended up not getting talked about. Also the side couple felt way rushed and very poorly explained. The webtoon does a better job explaining as I feel like the drama skimmed over it and just barely scraped the surface of that relationship. The main couple is so cute. They’re adorable and I’m very impressed with their acting. I think the actors did a very good job with the characters. They both fit the webtoon very nicely. When I first watched Unintentional love story I kept rewatching it because it was so good. It’s like super untoxic. Nothing bad really happens. (Well side couple different story). If I could change something it’s that the webtoon is actually very good at talking about homosexuality and how Wonyoung found out he’s gay. It’s a a whole process because originally Wonyoung only dated girls. I know it’s a Kbl but I would’ve loved to see that added in.This by far exceeded any of my expectations. In a way it reminded me of Roommates of Poongduck 304. The drama and the webtoon differ by quite a lot but I love them both very much. I also think the kiss scenes weren’t that bad compared to other bls I’ve watched. At least it was pretty believable. It’s important to remember that the actors themselves may or may not be gay and I think it’s both the main actors first BL drama to do so they probably were in fact uncomfortable a bit to be kissing someone of the same gender on camera.
(Keep reading for spoilers in webtoon. Otherwise skip)
Now… to talk about the webtoon for those curious. Basically, Taejoon and his dad don’t get along. Like absolutely zero. It was believed the father took pics of Taejoon and Choi Inho(the ex) and threatened to send pics of them together as a couple to Inho’s work and family. So they broke it off but in actuality Inho didn’t want to be in the relationship anyways and begged the dad to get out of it and to be super rich and famous. In the webtoon, TaeJoon and Wonyoung are very um… active to say the least. They’re like always doing it. Taejoon builds a studio in Seoul to live with Wonyoung. However, Hotae and DongHee kind of slept together, when DongHee got drunk. After that, he kind of disappeared, but was later found in the end they both got together, and that is a summary of what happened. But TaeJoon and Wonyoung do get engaged. Like rings and everything. It’s actually pretty cute.

I'm being brutally honest so this might sound a lil too rude.
Pros and cons becuz that might work best :3pros (I had to think real hard for the pros and yet just 2 so uk wot u r gonna get) :
- if u r looking for something long and smth that would take time to watch this might be okay
-appreciate the amount of hugs.
cons (i have more than enough cons fr)
-half cooked romance.
-unhinged story.
-the romance of the main couple is so damn crusty.
-won-young's oblivious personality is so fcking annoying.
-won-young's habit of thinking out loud is cringe asf and him smiling to himself and stuff while doing smth looks so pick me.
- tae-joon will be a perfect match with someone more mature and straightforward rather than won-young who is childish and a total mess.
-the actor of tae-joon was great but unfortunately actor of wonyoung sucked for me.
- they were an officially couple for literally a single episode and the amount of clingeness is unbearable.
-dead fish lip press instead of kiss.
-i get that it's hard to smush in romance and the angst together but we could've had more of them as a couple if the process of them accepting their feelings was a bit faster. it would've managed the timeline and wouldn't have felt so rushed.
- sometimes you will REALLY wish the side couple was the main couple.
- idk how many times i fast forwarded bcuz i was tired of seeing the main couple.
-the side couple is so damn good and it's very disappointing that all we got from them is a hug they deserved a more generous ending.
- everything about the main couple falling in love was normal so idk why they are making it feel like it's some eternal love sorta thing.
- in fact the side couple has the most interesting storyline i would've given a 10/10 if i focused on them alone.
overall this sucked i won't even recommend yall to watch it for the first time so don't even ask me about rewatch value (1/10 bc they weren't letting me post with 0)
also a request for a new series starring the side couple as LEADS that would be a really great treat ^o^
all of this was just my opinion please don't attack me I'm just being absolutely honest :)))
have a good day/night <33

They completely won me over!
I heard nothing but good things about Unintentional Love Story, so I was really looking forward to watch it and make my own opinion about it. I'm not going to lie: I was also a little bit skeptical about it for some reason, and ready to look for flaws that would make me dislike this drama at least in part.As you might have guessed by the overall rate I chose, Unintentional Love Story ended up winning me over, and became one of the best Korean BLs I've ever watched.
The story starts off with multiple circumstances involving the main characters, Ji Wonyoung and Yoon Taejoon, that need to be kept in mind in order to make the watch more enjoyable. This is not the kind of drama that one can watch while half-asleep or unable to keep track of the plot details being revealed little by little in the story, you've been warned!
If I had to pick one recurring theme for this story, I'd say it's about freedom, in particular the need to break free from what hold people back in life. At the beginning Ji Wonyoung finds himself being swept away by situations and people much bigger and powerful than him, so he ends up acting against his own morals. At the same time, Yoon Taejoon is trapped by an intense feeling of loss and betrayal that made him unable to truly trust anyone around him. Not much is revealed in detail about these two protagonists, yet their interactions on screen and the way they slowly start taking space in each other's life and adapting to one another is a wonder for the eyes. I also really liked how they indirectly made the other people in their life change as well.
The pacing of the story was just perfect: I felt like the characters took the perfect amount of time to get to know each other and build up their chemistry, and the obstacles they found along the way were all reasonable. Even when things looked bad for their romance, I didn't feel frustrated nor annoyed at anyone's decision or train of thoughts a single time, precisely because the characterization AND the writing of the drama were so perfect - something that even dramas with the highest budget get wrong sometimes.
The two couples were very good and I really liked how different their respective dynamics were. Neither of them were a "passionate making out moments" kind of couple (if you're looking for steamy kisses and love scenes, this is not for you!), but they were both very cute. Wonyoung and Taejoon especially made a very warm and romantic couple; the secondary couple wasn't shown enough for me to make a clear opinion about it, but I've heard that a spin-off about them will be coming soon and I'm curious to see how they will do there.
In conclusion, I consider this a must-watch for any BL fan, and I also strongly recommend it to whoever wants to watch a nice romantic drama in general. Each episode lasts about 35 minutes, so it's about 6 hours overall - not too demanding at all, so dive in if you have the chance!

What Is The “Hidden Agenda”
10, 10, 9.5, 9.0… 1….I am never really surprised when an awesome BL dramas gets rated an 1 in several reviews without any substance behind the rating.
Many MDL reviewers have hidden agendas when it comes to rating a quality drama so low, reading some reviews it’s easy to figure out what is behind the agenda.
Quite petty and I for one would have lost out on many good series if I believed all the hate in reviews.
Trust me give it a watch and make your own judgment.

This has been my favorite BL drama and one of my top 5 dramas overall of 2023 so far!
If you like BLs, which make you smile, and you can care about the characters in them, then this is a great one for 2023, and it has adults, not high school or college students. One bone to pick, though...the characterization of "Won Young tries to curry favor by tracking down the chairman's favorite artist" is super inaccurate. He locates him entirely by accident after breaking a plate his vacation host had purchased from the artist. He doesn't even recognize him at first.
Now, on to my early review :)
It doesn't have the heat of a series like Bed Friends (at least not yet, but I don't expect it to develop into that either). It's a slow burn but a really sweet storyline compared to others, and I have totally fallen for the main characters and even care about what happens with the relationship between the two supporting characters. It just started, and I have been eagerly waiting for the next two episodes to be released on iQIYI later today.
I'm fairly picky and often find myself much more drawn to Thai BL selections, but I have watched the 4 episodes available so far a total of 7 times in sequence.
The actors are awesome, and the balance between cute, sweet, serious, and dramatic interactions and solo screenwork is delightful. I find the locations used in filming beautiful in their simplicity and very calming. This is not an edge-of-your-seat Kinn Porshe-style drama or a crush-your-heart-into-pieces Until We Meet Again-style drama. It's just a feel-good value of a simple accidental love story with some CEO-driven, get-my-job-back manipulation coming from a character that is a genuinely good (maybe a bit dim) person and his slowly developing feelings for the man he is trying to kind of manipulate/spy on, get close to. Even so, I expect the revelation scenario to be a hiccup at best.
I suffer from high anxiety and depression, and I love the boost of serotonin and the feeling of calm happiness that comes with each new episode and rewatching of old episodes. This show is currently one of the most effective happy places for me, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Final note: I also really love the Fallen For U ost.
