Sad Ending …

I finished this drama about a few weeks ago but here i am writing a review before i forget about it ha

Positives : StoryLine
the storyline in my opinion was really nice. it’s unique and i loved that about this drama. i loved the fact that the fml was a four leaved lotus which was interesting because i’ve never seen a transformation like so.

i loved how the ml always flipped the tortoise ha-ha those parts were always so cute. they always made me laugh lmao

i also loved that that there was reincarnation and past lives which is a genre that i have a love for and this drama has PLENTY of it in it so if you love that type of genre this is a drama surely for you !!

Negatives: Storyline
- HATED THE ENDING OMG ( i’m pretty sure they both died .. sad ending and that’s the reason why i hated it, if they didn’t this drama wouldn’t gotten a higher rating ? ).

- a couple filler episodes

Positives: Acting
the acting from the actors were all decent but the "Yang Zi" , "Cheng Yi", and "Ray Chang" took the cake for me they were amazing. i think that "Cheng Yi’s" performance improved a lot from "Love and Redemption" and because of that it made the drama even more lovable.

the music was AMAZING !! i loved everything about it. i don’t usually enjoy many of all the osts from a sound track from a cdrama but this one had to be one i really enjoyed. all the songs are ????.

my favorite though is "Agarwood" by Jane Zhang, and Zhang Jie. the instrumental and the vocals from both singers is just ughh. the way the music touches my heart .. it’s so soothing. DEFINITELY A 10/10.


for sure would watch it it again in the far distant future and i can’t wait to rekindle the enjoyment i felt watching this drama again.


OVERALL .. i loved this drama and i encourage everyone to watch it if they love wuxia, fantasy, romance and reincarnation drama’s because this is the drama for you

Obsessed!!

Storyline is very heart wrenching and emotional, but the moments are very beautiful. Both the leads are beautiful and acting is too good. Their teary eyes express very realistic emotions and heart-breaking. If looking for a new Xianxia drama to watch, please give this a try! Romance is good and not slow paced, it is mutual. The costumes are very beautiful on the female and male lead.You know what I mean if you look at the photos. The producer has many hit historical dramas and this is definitely one of them. I watched all 11 episodes in go and I am a addicted I will continue to support and watch this drama

beautiful story

I love Xianxia dramas and this one is no different. I recommend if you like a drama like Ashes of Love or Eternal Love. The setting and storyline is very similar. There are a lots of sad moments between the two main leads and the evil characters are so vicious that you will want to slap them. It is a beautiful story about tragic love between two immortals who are not allowed to fall in love. The drama always leaves me with tears after watching every episode. One of the most deepest and heartbreaking Xianxia I have ever watched. I think this love story is more heart wrenching than Ashes of Love.

I knew this drama was coming, but didn't know when. I'm a fan of most of the characters although I love the FL more cause she is my favorite Chinese actress. The story line really threw me off in a good way because I was expecting the normal xianxia drama storyline, but this is way different and has a good pace, not slow like other xianxia dramas and not too fast too.
Another thing I love is the different costumes they have now. If you've been watching xianxia dramas, you will know that they rarely change their attires, but this is different, I'm in episode 14 and the female lead has changed her attire like 5 times now so I'm very happy about that too.
I had to stop at 14 although I've downloaded up to 18. The reason being that I'm too hooked and other episodes have not come out yet so I will wait till other episodes drop then I will continue watching.
A wonderful drama, I will highly recommend it to anyone

Beautiful story!

First, I had no idea this even aired as it came out of nowhere, despite their being a lot of rumored dates. I am so addicted to this drama. The main leads have great chemistry and you can feel the realistic emotion shown by both of them. CGI is really good and I don't know why some people were complaining about. The scenes looked very beautiful and creative. I feel like it's classic Xianxia CGI. I would recommend if you like Eternal Love, Love and Redemption or Ancient love Poetry. The storyline can be seen to be filled with laughter and sadness. I think the mixture of both is done very well, definitely suspenseful. It starts off more light and comedy, but from what I can see, it gets really deep and emotionally. If you like Xianxia, give it a try!

well at first i was so excited that a drama starring Chen Yi was finally out in 2022 as i have missed him since stand by me in 2021. but honestly when i started watching the show i was kind of disappointed considering i like the main leads but i wasn't feeling the chemistry and the female main lead seemed more comfortable around other actors that the male lead. but i endured and am at episode 22 which i am getting use to the show now. though it so much episodes to get hooked but its worth it for Cheng Yi. well i would recommend the show if someone is patient enough for the show to really develop because am glad i was patient enough.

I wouldn't necessarily say this is a bad drama, but I've certainly seen better. I think the casting was great, but the story is not very captivating, not unique, and boring. Out of the xianxia dramas, I've liked most of YZ dramas like ashes of love, but this one isn't my favorite. Plot-wise, it is bland, not unique, and it feels like I've watched many copies of the same type of drama. The FL also is a little annoying and immature, but maybe that will change as the show moves forward. A little disappointed as I was looking forward to this drama, but we will see if it gets any better.

i really wanted to like this

despite the ML and FL's great acting and the excellently crafted trailers, i do not see anything good about this drama. i watched the trailers and the official mv straight after they were released and was extremely excited initially and having waited more than a year for the drama, i think it's highly disappointing.

i am a big fan of yang zi and a general drama fan of cheng yi and let me make this clear THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ACTING AT ALL - i thought the acting was great. hence why they cut some good scenes for the trailers, which attracted a lot of anticipation from viewers - i was attracted too to the trailers.

but the outcome of the drama is really quite boring to me. i did not have the feeling of wanting to watch one episode after another and basically tried to force myself to keep going because i really did like the cast and trailers. but after 10 episodes, i really don't think i can force myself any longer into this.

the story is more than generic for a xianxia drama, i see so many aspects from several dramas. i just hate how i know exactly what will happen each time because everything is so generic. the character of the FL is also so annoying to me - it's like xianxia dramas cannot have a FL with a brain (i feel very sorry that yang zi has to act like someone like that every time). and the fact that the sister HAD to turn bad like that was so expected and it's like this happens in every drama? i really hoped that they would've done something different with zixi's character but unfortunately not.

i also found the "not being able to fall in love" part very confusing? how come there is this strict rule but 1) girls publicly talk about how they lowkey have a crush on yingyuan to each other 2) they even write it on the wish sticks (lol idk what they're called sorry) and 3) that library dude keeps joking about finding love and even seducing yingyuan? like? it just confuses me.

the music was alright but nothing special + i felt nothing listening to it because of how dry the story was. even the actors' great acting seemed to be dim under the basic plot.

i really hoped that i would eventually like this but i simply don't have the energy to watch on anymore. in conclusion, i did not like this and i felt no emotions watching this.

Amazing show so far !!!

The story is really amazing. The chemistry between the two leads is epic. I have to give major kudos to the producer I can sense that we are going to be taken through a world of emotions.
Yang Zi -Is so beautiful and has a great personality. Her acting is really amazing. So far in the first ten episodes I have been amazed at how smart , funny and caring she Is.
Cheng Yi - Looks amazing - He is a really good actor he knows how to draw in his audience. I love his personality. He has a great sense of humor and is really caring.

I am really intrigued that we are going to be seeing the actors play 3 different characters , I am also happy its a rather long drama I enjoy watching Long series. I know its been chopped down from 80 eposides (Which I would of love to have ) However 57 will do.

The costumes look good ! Love the make up every one looks amazing. I been waiting for this show to launch and it was so worth the wait. I watch all ten episodes twice and it the story line is really interesting. I will keep this very vague and will not give any spoilers however I feel like there is a big secret and who is suppose to be pure and mighty is really keeping a huge secret and manipulating his people.
