One of the things I liked the most is that not only the main characters get to develop themselves, the rest of the people in the drama get their own space, creating more than just two memorable characters.
Jia Yu, for example is one of the very best villains I've seen in a long time, and i'm not saying this only because in fact I can't even stand her, but because she's the type of villain that is bad because thinks she's right, and has reasons and background for her attitude.
The story, as i said before, you'd expect it to be very generic, but it develops in a way you find yourself thinking 'Now, how the hell will this be solved?' Usually I'm very good at guessing the solution... not this time.
As for the main couple FIRST TIME EVER I don't find them overly cheesy or annoying when they're being romantic and such, because it often happens that the couple's romance reminds us too much they're acting (seems exaggerated). Liang Liang and Qi Yi have great chemistry and give you a very nice, fluffy feeling when they're together (not fighting of course... wait even when they're fighting is cute).
In conclusion, Just you is a wonderful drama, good enough to keep me watching it on little breaks during my finals even when i'm the type of person that easy drops tv shows and movies.
I highly recommend it.

I do have to say that most of the male roles were reasonably acted, even the stock trite characters. A nice surprise was the relationship of two main male characters.
The portrayal of women was completely, mesmerizingly awful. They could have been drawn by children in crayon for all the depth or differentiation between them. I can only recall ONE scene which technically passed the Bechdel test, and even that one had sinister undertones of rivalry that were a demeaning caricature. The female lead was written and acted as the most addle-pated twiddlepoop I think I have ever seen, and in real life she would have qualified for supportive services and housing for persons with cognitive challenges. This portrayal was treated as though it was a common, ordinary state for women. It is insulting for adult women to be shown as if their common behavior is that of a love-smitten 12 year old, who shouts instead of speaking, is impulsive, routinely leaves food on her face, is unaware of any social nuance or rights of privacy, who falls down constantly, and who apologizes endlessly for being stupid and incompetent.
This was a huge contrast to the nicely nuanced, well-acted, and much more genuine Iron Ladies.
The best thing I can say about it is that the scenery was nice.

Instead the drama took a detour to crazy town and for far too long. Second female lead was ridiculous and annoying and almost ruined this drama for me. Add to that female lead's insane Noble Idiocy and a good chunk of this was strictly for fast forwarding.
I’ve only watched a few Taiwanese dramas but I’ve found almost all of them have some light, fun, very shallow rom com premise and then a bazillion episodes to fill. They nearly always end up in Makjang territory to try to stretch the story long after the premise has run its course. This wasn’t as bad as Fall in Love with Me, which completely forgot what it was supposed to be about in the first place. But it got pretty bad. Jia-yu should have just gotten the psychiatric help she needed early on and we could have gotten back to the fun.
If you fast-forward most of the back half, there's a delightful little rom-com in here trying to get out. Aaron Yan is always an enjoyable and Puff Kuo stops yelling her lines after a few episodes and becomes very enjoyable to watch. Edit out the makjang and it's a fun little show, second female lead notwithstanding.

Other casts wasn't really important but their story was a nice sight to see. I found their story quite meaningful but not so memorable. Ding Jia Yu was the only character that got on my nerves. She might not be the worst, but she sure a 'bad' second lead. She didn't deserve my sympathy about being a pitiful character when she didn't try to understand at all.
The music wasn't so captivating, but there's a song that i liked (i forgot the name).
For rewatch value, i give it 8.5 'cause i think i'll rewatch this often. This typical rom-com is my favorite, and it kinda helped me on healing my frustation. It's easy to watch, lovely, and cute.
Overall, this drama got 8/10. Even though the story was just so predictable, i found myself really fond of this drama. The main casts were pretty good, and the draggy scenes were not that bad. It's a typical drama which have a nice fluffy romance in it. In short, it was a cute drama that helped you on releasing your stress but not 'that' amazing.

The story was fantastic the first 10 episodes, but the second half of the drama got draggy. It could had been condensed. But don't worry, the leads' chemistry is worth the watch. Aaron Yan and Puff Kuo are adorable in this drama. Their interactions were so cute. The supporting cast was also worth watching/caring. Their office romances were also cute.
If you like watching lots of cute romance like me, you must watch this drama! The plot wasn't great because the evil female lead was just plain annoying with soso acting, but watching it for Aaron and Puff's chemistry is worth it since their scenes are emotional and romantic.
I liked the music, especially the one sang by Aaron.
I would rewatch some of the scenes by the leads, or supporting cast, but I wouldn't rewatch episodes 10-18, mainly because they focused on the evil female lead, which I thought was irrelevant to the main leads, and definitely could had been condensed.
Overall, do watch it if you like cutie romances and non pressure dramas or if you're an Aaron Yan fan like me! To me, watching this drama was like sipping a smoothie, refreshing and cute. Don't watch it if you are looking for an amazing drama plot story with great acting from everyone. (9/8.25)

Save yourself the time and PASS
Only saving grace of this drama was Aaron Yan. I should've known better because I'm not a Puff Guo fan but wanted to try watching Just You based on some positive reviews. Big mistake. Puff's character is the type of FL I dislike the most...childish, naive, unaware, annoying, loud (oh so loud)...just UGH! I cringed so much whenever she spoke or ran like a toddler or did pretty much anything. And yes, I know that the drama wanted to show how all these qualities made her unique and special, but it was so over the top that I really couldn't see how ML would ever fall for her. Yes, she toned down towards the end, but not enough to redeem the damage already done for me.Also, Aaron Yan's manga hairstyle...I didn't mind it so much but I really disliked his "unstyled out of the shower" hair. It looked like a bowl cut. I think the show's hairstylists could have figured out a way to make his just-showered-going-to-bed hair a little better. Other than that, Aaron's character development of Qi Yi was what kept me watching the show.
My favorite character is actually Mei Mei, the office administrative assistant. Her lines toward her coworker who has a crush on her were unexpected, punchy, and on-point! She was fun to watch!
SPOILER...
The whole estranged family plot line seemed very far-stretched, and the reasons for sending Qi-Yi's mom away made no sense to me, and the dad's inability to bring her back made even less sense. Crazy ex-girlfriend plot line was also painful to watch.
If you are thinking of watching this for Aaron Yan...I would say pass on Just You and watch Refresh Man instead.

However, for TTV shows like these, if you've seen one...
They're predictable, cookie-cutter affairs that are ripe with mellow-drama, Disney-style humor, and OTT performances, which is what they're supposed to be. Formulaic.
TaiwaneseTV producers know all too well who the hell their target audience is and more importantly that they're willing to spend money on products that are carefully displayed (product placement) throughout the episodes.
Anywho, what I find entertaining and interesting about these shows is how Taiwanese culture defines romance and gender roles.
Unfortunately for Aaron Yan's character, Yi Qi, I was introduced to the role of the romantic male lead for the first time or who I would come to know as the lead asshole -- an arrogant, condescending prick who gets a free pass for being a dick because he has mommy issues. Of course, he's good looking, earns a lot of money and is well educated so he knows better than everybody else, meaning he has the power. He's in control. In most of the TTV dramedies I've watched, this has been the case.
Enter Puff Kuo's character, Liang Liang, who I absolutely adored. Her eyes are amazing. I mean, why else would I give a rat's ass that her goldfish died. Liang Liang is so likable to the point that I felt that no man deserved her attention, much less her affection. I was hoping at some point early on that the writers would have her character exhibit more independence and kickassery. But after watching all 39 episodes of this show I've learned, sadly, that that type of female character is not popular.

Drama Breakdown: First part was hard for me (way unrealistic, I mean who talks to your new boss this way). middle part got better and started to grow on me (started rooting for the couple). middle-almost end (WTH, why do you need this stuff to waste time, please make it stop). then finally the end (my comment, at least it ended happily, hugs & kisses). Moving on.
