Annoying and Boring

When I read the plot summary for the drama, it seemed interesting to watch. The drama had a lot of potential but didn't turn out to be well.
I did not have a lot of expectations from the story. At the start it seemed to be going good then the story became too slow and boring. Didn't find anything unexpected in the story.
The acting by the cast was amazing but the characters and story were annoying. Though Seo Ji Hye was great, her character was irritating.
I found many things in the drama that were unexplained and didn't make sense.
The side characters could have been developed better. Even for the main leads, the character development was not very strong.
Overall, I felt it was not worth the watch.

What a shame

I was enthusiastic and would have given 9 stars until the 10th episode but the last 2 episodes lowered my rating.
Bad episodes (for me): 8th and 11th.

A woman has the gift of seeing the future of the people she kisses. By an accident she happens to touch her boss's lips and discovers that they will have an affair. While for him kissing someone is an experience that makes him feel bad and sometimes even faint, but with her it's different.

Great cast! Many beautiful and interesting actors already seen in other roles, for examples:
-the boss (Yoon Kye Sang): "Chocolate"
-the sensitive (Seo Ji Hye): girlfriend in "Crash landing on you"
-her mate and friend (Hwang Bo Ra): many support roles
-her cousin (Kim Ga Eum): friend of girl-lead in "King the land"
-his doctor and friend (Tae In Ho): many support roles
-the director/producer (Kim Ji Suk): "Angel Eyes"

I've been a fan of this odd couple since the beginning but I didn't like so much the last two episodes. They lost their "abilities" and began to have divergences. The change is too much. Why this ending? Everything perfect and then... what a shame!

PS: I liked watching their work which consisted of advertising items, in this case a bed and a car, starting from a concept and developing it, looking for locations... I found it interesting.

Steamy yet mysterious?

I like that both FL and ML have secrets and supernatural abilities. For me, I think the plot was well written. The background story about her father, unknown killer, FL & ML's childhood memories were given in pieces as we watch the drama as to give us clues to solve the mystery. Towards the end, as the mystery unravel, we get a clear picture of what happened in the past. All the clues were like puzzle pieces and none of the pieces were missing at the end giving us a clear solved puzzle. I'd have given this drama a solid 10/10 if not for the weird extra story, post solving the mystery. Both ML&FL became silly. I don't think it was necessary to show us that.

I really don't know what to feel for this drama. For me, it's not that boring, but it's not that fantastic either. A typical romcom office drama but with fantasy. I wish they make their "sixth sense" more interesting. The flow of the story is good, but the random 'crime' on the last episodes feel so out of place..

The chemistry between the main leads for me are 50/50. They do look good together but at the same time they don't, it's like they look good together when they're working but outside the office they look meh.

I'll give it a 6/10. If you have a lot of time and you want to watch this, I guess you can give it a try, but if you don't then I suggest to just skip this drama.

Kiss Zero Sense? Fun nostalgic watch turns into caricature chaos

I watched Kiss Sixth Sense out of nostalgia. When I began watching Korean dramas in the early 2010s, so many of my favorite shows were like this one: contemporary romantic comedies with a workplace setting and a speculative or low fantasy spin on the central relationship. Back then, it was common to see two aspiring love birds communicate telepathically (I Can Hear Your Voice), swap bodies (Secret Garden), or travel through time (Rooftop Prince, Queen In Hyun's Man), and these outlandish scenarios were hilarious, of course, but the showrunners would also use them to tease out deeper or more complex themes, like the role of destiny in our lives, how we all perform gender, and the discovery of connection in the unlikeliest of places. Now, it seems as if this style of romantic comedy is falling by the way side, and shows like this, Jinxed at First, and Link: Eat, Love, Kill represent a dying breed.

Sadly, just as this sub-genre has receded into background, this drama paled in comparison to its predecessors.

In the beginning, I was charmed. I hadn't encountered Yoon Kye Sang in anything before, so even if this was one of his weaker performances, as a few of the reviews here mention, I couldn't tell, and I found myself enjoying his unexpectedly grounded, realistic portrait of the stereotypical cold boss ML. More surprisingly, this show really leans into the throwback version of this trope: Cha Min Hoo is a legitimate workplace bully, whereas today this type of character is watered down and far from toxic (see: the ML in Business Proposal). Obviously, this behavior is unacceptable in real life, but I thought his low starting point hinted at more character development.

Seo Ji Hye brings a similar levelheadedness to her performance as Hong Ye Sul, the long suffering employee working directly under Cha Min Hoo, and I enjoyed how the polished, more lifelike leads acted as a counterweight against the offbeat premise.

From the start, it's easy to see that Ye Sul needs to go on her own journey of professional growth: she doesn't stand up for herself when she's bullied by her superiors or targeted by undermining, jealous co-workers. She's a detail-orientated, hard working employee who doesn't whither under her boss' endless criticism or impossible standards, but she has yet to find her voice or emerge from beneath the safe umbrella of Min Hoo's mentorship. When she leads a meeting in front of important clients and they question her presentation, it's Min Hoo who steps up and lends her credibility. I was excited to see how this drama would show Ye Sul fighting these (often sexist) standards and confidently coming into her own.

From the beginning, I was fully hooked, watching episode after episode with interest. I was especially impressed with the scenes leading up to, during, and immediately after Ye Sul and Min Hoo's accidental first kiss. The scenes beforehand, when we see Min Hoo's intense preparedness during the weather snafu, pull double duty: revealing how he may have secretly looked after her for years and suggesting that this diligence may have contributed to his success in this industry. Then, we get this fantastic tension between the panic of the rainstorm and the sensual scenes of Ye Sul's first vision of their future, which are unexpectedly hot (not hot-for-a-Korean-drama, but hot-HOT). Afterwards, their varied reactions are intriguing: Ye Sul is understandably shocked to see Min Hoo in such a wildly different context while he's avoidant and distant, suggesting a whole new set of mysteries and backstory.

In the middle of the drama, once the couple get serious about their relationship, things started to wobble. For me, the biggest problem was the lack of relationship development between the main leads. Do we see Ye Sul gradually fall in love with her longtime antagonist? No, not really. Instead, there's this pervading sense that she's simply giving into the curiosity stirred by her sexy visions (really, who can blame her?!). When they agree to date, the decision reads like it's "legitimatizing" their future sexual relationship, rather than coming from a place of increasing emotional intimacy. Enemies to lovers romances require careful relationship building and scenes in which the characters go through phases of connection until their once-hostile bond is grounded in romantic love (Alchemy of Souls and Mad for Each Other are GREAT at this!). Here, we're fast tracked past the best parts of this trope for...what, exactly?! I couldn't tell. Zipping through the relationship building ill-serves the pace of the drama later on, that's for sure.

Smaller wobbles build elsewhere: the sabotage subplot outlasts its welcome, the stalker's delusions don't fit beside his otherwise high functioning life, and Lee Joo Yeon's "toxic love rival" role is dated (for a reason!) and pointless, since it's clear that Min Hoo isn't interested, like, at all. Ye Sul and Min Hoo's coded kiss cues are fun enough, but feel juvenile after the steamy blast that we know we're headed for. Small potatoes like these are fine, as a side dish, however here they're often served as the main course, which simply isn't enough to satisfy.

There are other opportunities lying around, as Kiss Sixth Sense possesses a deep bench in its strong supporting cast, yet this potential is repeatedly squandered. Kim Ga Eun is as cool and effortlessly watchable as usual and I found myself charmed by her gender-flipped, fast-burn secondary romance with Tae In Ho's "aw shucks!" good guy doctor, but at the last minute, their subplot runs straight into a big brick wall and her character is reduced to an inexplicably unfeeling, one-dimensional distraction. Worse yet, what the show does with Kim Mi Soo is downright criminal: asking a talented actress with a broad range to speak in a baby voice and cry through 12 episodes is an unpardonable sin. I'm also a huge fan of Hwang Bo Ra's eccentricity but here she's either terribly miscast or poorly directed (or both?) since her wild energy never matched Seo Ji Hye's sophisticated aura. It was impossible for me to envision those two characters as workplace buddies.

However, if this drama had knuckled through with its humdrum efforts, my rating wouldn't be so low. I could've tolerated the lack of relationship building, the misuse of talented actors, and even the poorly executed bits and bobs which this show wants to substitute for the main event (i.e., a well built romantic arc!). After all, the central theme -- that romantic relationships are unpredictable and it's impossible to guess their final outcome, yet we must remain hopeful and courageous regardless -- sits well with the supernatural premise. This concept is reinforced smoothly by Ye Sul's personal hesitancy and her questions about the role of fate and free will in her visions. Min Hoo's struggle to open up and share his own unusual power or disability is similarly poignant. Unlike a lot of reviews on MDL, I thought these themes fit the actors' ages perfectly. Like a lot of people in their thirties, they've "settled into" themselves, but it has taken on an edge of complacency, wherein Min Hoo's secretiveness and Ye Sul's self-doubt limit their ability to connect with one another. Again, if this now-mediocre drama had floated along on the back of good stuff like this, I would've given this show a 7.

But, no. First, the show panics and acts as if it doesn't have any material left (let me say once more: propelling past much-needed relationship development to rush the couple together was a bad idea!). Then, the script becomes totally and completely unglued. I expected this show to follow through on its own concepts, like revealing how Min Hoo grows out of his abusiveness at work. I was also really, really looking forward to seeing Ye Sul find her voice, earn her accolades independently of Min Hoo, and speak up for herself during confrontations. Her jealous co-workers repeatedly bring up this idea that she owes all of her success to Min Hoo and their mentorship isn't based on the quality of her work but her ability to attract him as a woman, which is gross and sexist. But then, the drama doesn't do anything to refute that perspective! Instead, Ye Sul achieves career advancement through Min Hoo's intervention, mimics his abusive communication as a boss, and behaves in an extremely childish way when she encounters her partner at the office. Episode 12 convinced me that she should be fired, tout de suite -- which should NEVER be the final note of a workplace rom com!

After the complete mismanagement of plot and pace, this drama makes a last ditch effort to find material by introducing an entirely new theme, halfway through its last episode. In a tone deaf turn towards realism, Kiss Sixth Sense wants its audience to contemplate how relationships require emotional work, compromise, and re-commitment after the initial Happily Ever After. Which is both a true fact of life, and a concept that wouldn't be out of place in a second chance romance or naturalistic prestige drama, but this show isn't either of those things. Oh, and it also wants to sell us this nonsense in 30 minutes. What do we get? Pure chaos, and not the good kind. We're subjected to a half hour of these mature, thoughtful actors running around like chickens with their heads cut off, fighting bitterly and insulting one another over imagined conflict. It's more than enough to convince me that this pair should've never gotten together in the first place, completely undermining the story that this drama has been telling for 11 1/2 episodes. By turning Ye Sul and Min Hoo into obnoxious caricatures, Kiss Sixth Sense abandons its own story, and when showrunners show such disrespect for their projects, it disrespects the audience who has been faithfully following along, and I can't stand that.

Kiss of not so much sense , but still entertaining

This is just my type of drama, it mixes genres just the way I like it romance, super powers (ish), cold leads, bossy...

There is one character that was a bit to much from start to finish but other than that I would say I enjoyed binging from start to episode 11, after that this drama went all Hometown Cha Cha Cha on me taking previously sensible and interesting characters and just ruining them completely in the name of something that could be considered a spoiler so I will spare you.

The second male lead, was an interesting man he is supposed to be made to be some kind of saint but I am not buying it. He was a lot of fun to watch but seemed like a narcissist in disguise the type who will not respect your boundaries at all and will make a movie out of every single one of your secrets.

The second female lead was pretty much a stalker, and much like the second male lead completely lacked respect for others boundaries. She was a little bit over the top but I found myself enjoying her scenes, just as long as I could use the mute button whenever she cried. .

The mom and second couple were also lovely, Tae In Ho did not played the cutest guy ever! AS this guy normally plays villains I found myself extremely impressed by this guys sweet side making me long for more of that. Please cast him as a Nice Male Lead!

I also enjoyed the way they showed enhanced senses as painful, I wish they would have worked on this a little bit more as there where a bunch of plot holes to his ability which is really such a shame.

So to conclude this review, there is a lot of good fun cliches done good in this. Do NOT expect things to make any sense, expect plot holes and expect annoying elements (especially towards the end). If you can live with all this you will get a decent OST, some pretty scenery and some pretty steamy scenes as well.

for a change..... a mature rom-com

Have been watching light rom coms recently along with revenge thrillers. So, Kiss Sixth Sense was definitely veering from my current norm.

The FL and ML have amazing chemistry. The second lead Male and the girl portraying the actress could have a drama of their own. Their visuals were just so good.

Storywise, this was a unique drama. There was a perfect balance of comedy and drama. However, the ever present amnesia angle and the childhood connection is once again present. (Wish they could do without these tropes in the future)

Overall, it was such a joy watching the series as a whole because they were not the typical "too cute" "too handsome" "too beasutiful" guys. Really just mature people in a relationship.

Melodrama with an interesting concept

What if you could tell the future of the person with just a kiss? It seems desirable to have a ‘superpower’ like that... but without any context of the vision you have, It could lead to many misunderstandings.

I do like the concept and base storyline of this drama. I like how the FL character develops - in the past she would live her life based on her visions, which led her to be very miserable. She then realises that her visions might not be exactly how she imagined it to be; she then chooses to live more spontaneously and in the present. Good for her. Subsequently the ML also has a gifting of his own and learns to control it and finds comfort with the FL.

The love relationship between the leads takes awhile to develop , and there is some misunderstanding and lack of communication (typical). However there are some nice skinship and PDA scenes :) Because it’s an office romance, you have the humour and storyline of the colleagues and after work dinners etc.. There’s also the ex-boyfriend factor - his tale was a sad and unfortunate one, but he was matured enough to handle it. The female rival on the other hand was a tad annoying, but nothing overly dramatic. Towards the end the added mystery/ past crime element was a nice touch to the melodrama pace. I liked the two kid actors scenes.

It’s a simple romance story, so watching it gives you a feel -good feeling. Somehow the character of the ML changes when he starts dating her- he becomes more comical and cracking jokes, which I thought was out of character. It wld have been better if he was more aloof and cold on the outside but warm and loving towards her alone. This comic side of him did not bode well.

The OST is nice but I don’t find it very memorable. Didn’t add any of it onto my Spotify playlist :(

Have a go with this one. The FL is the 2FL in Crash Landing On You, very pretty and classy ;)

The Storyline is really full of Curiousity

DEFINITELY WORTH BINGE WATCH THE BEST DRAMA AFTER "GOBLIN"

Tbh, I started watching this drama when saw a fan edit about storyline, I became really curious and I did some research about the story and cast, the FL is from CLOY, I was surprised. That's how I started watching this drama, honestly this drama is the best it's genre is similar to Drama "Goblin" but difference is storyline. So far I have watched 10 Eps, the romance, suspense, mixed feelings and cast is the best. Love This Drama So Much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Future we see might just be our wilful imagination

Seo Ji Hye has been unlucky in her last 2 KDramas :
CLOY - Not satisfactory ending for her and second ML
Dinner Mate - A show with good start went downhill completely in last quarter
This one looks to be good show so far. The character played by her matches her inherent quirkiness. I sincerely wish this drama to succeed.

Kiss Sixth Sense is an aggregation of various genres - comedy, romance, supernatural, corporate life. So far they have meshed them together well. Hong Ye Sul is a successful office worker. She has been working with her mentor Cha Min Hoo for 5 years. HYS has ability to see future events of the person she kisses. This fact has prevented her from being a long term relationship with anyone. All is going well, when she accidentally kisses CMH and sees them together intimately in bed. This will on which story progresses.

As I said before they are trying to mix multiple genres together. Let's hope they do it well. OST is good, though I feel some sort of receptiveness and primitive quality in it.

Coming to some people's complaints regarding ML is falling short in looks department. I would argue with point. ML is 43+ actor. He is playing this 30+ role pretty well. One more problem I see in comment is related to cinematography. I've seen 200+ KDramas. If I've to rank its cinematography, it will definitely be in top 20 with respect to first 2 episodes.

Till episode 6 story was going in predictable direction, a bit monotonous too. Episode 7, 8 abruptly (in a good way), escalated the tension. To people who criticised FL on her seemingly impulsive behaviour: she suddenly comes to know that though her memories represent future, the underlying canvas on those memories is a figment of her own feelings and insecurities. Hence, she is troubled, hence, indecisive.

Please watch this you are interested in rom-com with a bit of supernatural element.

Good casting, office romance, cliche storyline

This has everything that Korean dramas usually have. Past connections between FL and ML, secret dating in the office, overflowing office pantry, good aesthetics, soothing color palette, irritating second ML and second FL, totally interesting colleagues in the office. Apart from the ML and FL, I noticed the diversity of acting in Tae In Ho and Kim Ga Eun. Both characters were well written and portrayed. I was more interested in their dynamics than the original storyline. They were total fun to watch. Cliche storyline. I mean, the story went pretty predictable and I think there is something about the serial killers/thieves that are always in dramas. The whole black outfitted, cap and mask-wearing random/bad people is so out of fashion. I mean doesn't the whole black outfit negates the "hiding in plain sight" concept? I would totally notice a human in a full black outfit for 1) Black is awesome, 2)Black is sexy and 3) It draws too much attention. Let it be. That is a food for thought for writers out there.
I enjoy and even wait for the episodes. So, I can say it is pretty good. I would not be gearing up for a rewatch though.
