Coup de cœur !
Je ne souhaite pas m'étaler des heures parce que les critiques précédentes sont toutes si bonnes que la mienne ne ferait que pâle figure en comparaison. Cependant, je ne pouvais pas ignorer la page de Under the Skin, car il est mon premier coup de cœur de l'année.Je vais essayer de ne pas trop en dire. En réalité, j'ai déjà passé pas mal de temps sur la critique publiée sur mon site pour ne pas trop en dire. Et comme je n'aime pas faire de stupide copié/collé. Bref ! Sachez juste que cette review n'est pas à la hauteur de Under the Skin qui mérite mieux.
Le scénario était stupéfiant. On part d'un fil rouge qui va s'étirer tout du long, mais on va lui apporter de nombreux connecteurs afin de ne pas tomber dans une ambiance terne et monotone. Certains pourront avoir le sentiment qu'il manque quelque chose. Mais cela dépendra de ce que vous attendez réellement de ce drame. Une histoire pleine de suspense avec de multiples sous-intrigue et un aspect tranche de vie ou une façon différente d'aborder les crimes en se concentrant sur les enquêtes. Les cas sont traités d'une façon unique et fascinante - je suis fascinée en tout cas. De simples cas, on construit toute une intrigue autour et chacun étant en lien avec le travail de Shen Yi, le dessin. C'était incroyable d'ailleurs de voir les portraits s'esquisser pour prendre vie par la suite. Et les personnages ne sont pas en reste.
Le casting était parfait ! Tan Jian Ci était spectaculaire dans le rôle de Shen Yi. Il est l'image même de Under the Skin avec sa palette d'expressions maîtrisée et la façon dont il a abordé son personnage au fil des épisodes.
Jin Shi Jia incarne bien le flic un peu brut en surface, mais au cœur tendre et au bon fond. Le reste du casting était bon, chacun amenant du dynamisme quand il le fallait et où il le fallait.
L'image était bonne avec des couleurs prenantes. La palette de couleurs nous plonge dans une ambiance. La musique était très bien. Mention spéciale au générique d'ouverture.
Under the Skin était pour moi une fascination qui aura alimenté mes soirées avec passion - la rime c'est cadeau. J'aime les séries policières, mais rares sont celles qui vont me marquer de la sorte. Et c'est totalement ce que fait Under the Skin. Difficile de l'ignorer une fois commencé, difficile de l'oublier une fois terminé.

This drama is quite different from the other crime investigation drama (at least for me). It's from the perspective of a criminal sketch artist and how he sees and analyses the cases. It was interesting. And not to mention, that it gave quite a heartfelt moment. The acting and cinematography were perfect. Only the plot felt a bit lacking.

Episode 16-18 made me so nervous. I felt like I was more anxious than the characters ?
Overall, this is a very good drama. I'll rewatch it someday.

This is probably the best show I have seen this year and maybe in the past couple of years also. I was engaged throughout the whole show. With the shows that have been coming out, very few have I seen where I just watch from beginning to end without the need to fast-forward, but I watched every second of this show. I loved the plot and the characters and I kept feeling myself wanting to be physically sucked in to the show and be a part of what was happening. I've never vibed so hard with a show. Both Shen Yi and Du Cheng's personalities contain parts of mine and I really love how they were portrayed. The only reason it didn't get a full 10 stars is because there's one thing I can't for the life of me figure out. Either my mind wandered when they explained it or it never got explained. Also if there's never a second season or like bonus episodes to explain that ending, I might go insane. I want so much more of this!!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Typical but done very well
The story here is the typical two main male characters who does not get along due to past incident happened to end up working together to solve crimes.As crimes are solve, it also allowed for each other to settle and clarify their anger and frustrations with each other.
I wasnt invested jn this series at the start but as tje story got more mysterious and intriguing, I ended up binge watching it.
The role portrayal is good, wardrobe was in queue, location fits, direction and flow of story is good.
If you are not a fan of detective story this might not be for you but i suggest to give it a try til episode 3.

This was amazing! I was drawn in from the very first episode and I just couldn’t. stop. watching! I burned through this drama in just a few days, that rarely happens to me. But it was so compelling, the stories, the acting, the cinematography, the music… It was the full package!My favorite part was definitely the deep friendship and trust that developed between Shen Yi & Du Cheng. Du Cheng started as Shen Yi’s, well, enemy is a strong word but definitely as someone who did not like Shen Yi all that much. And by the end, he laid down his life and his future in Shen Yi’s hands with absolute, unhesitant trust. It was truly a thing of beauty.
Also, what I loved was that both Shen Yi & Du Cheng were very, but very smart people, each in his own right. That Du Cheng wasn’t just Shen Yi’s plus one, his caretaker, the way these dramas about gifted individuals sometimes go.
Interesting, at least for me, was that one of the tensest moments of the whole drama was the speed chess game between Shen Yi and the main bad guy, that cat and mouse game where you didn’t know who was the cat and who the mouse. It reminded me so much of the amazing poker game scene between Bond and Le Chiffre in Casino Royale!
And then the ending! The set-up for something more! I really truly hope that there actually will be S2, that it won’t fall under the table like the sequels to SCI or When a Snail Falls in Love. That would irk me!
Overall, a fantastic, amazing, captivating drama!

Good story but a bit too fast paced
The story itself is interesting with some veteran actors. 20 short episodes that could've been longer if they spend more on character development or spent more time on the supporting actors. There were quite a few potentially interesting supporting characters but they hardly had any screen time.Shen Yi (Artist) & Du Cheng started off as enemies but a bit too quickly Du Cheng's 7 years worth of anger towards him resolved?? ..... It felt rather instant so the subsequent bromance wasn't strong. It still worked well enough for the story line as it focused mainly on cases. Each case went by fast w/o many twists. It would've been better if they slow the pace down a bit.
The last 2 episode circles back to the original murder from 7 years ago to resolve unanswered questions.
Overall a great crime drama well worth the time for any viewers that enjoys this genre!

─ artistic approach to the crime cases
I had watched many crime thriller dramas that focuses on talented detectives in the police station setting. Yet, Under the Skin is one of the unique ones that deliver a new approach to this genre. Before I started the drama, I had high expectations because I only saw positive reviews about it. After watching it, I definitely agree that it deserves all the compliments.The story is actually quite captivating even from the premise. Overall, it is an interesting and binge worthy story ─ not with just cases as some of them might appear familiar but the way they deliver it from the eyes of a genius artist. It also has a smooth pace, doesn't drag the story unnecessarily. In fact, it is one of its charms that they know exactly where to conclude the cases and move to the next one.
Dynamics and acting are absolutely amazing ─ you don't feel awkward or think any character doesn't belong there. They all have their roles and perfectly showcases it.
I also think the ending is satisfying and mysterious enough to set the vibe for the second season. This being said, I'm definitely looking forward to the next season and what they prepared with cases and characters.

Excelente serie policíaca
Under the skin me atrapó desde el primer episodio, excelente historia, excelente actuaciones, excelentes escenas. Nos encontramos con la trama de un pintor dotado que decide entrar a la policía para sentir que su don pueda servir de algo después de haber sido una razón indirecta de un homicidio. Shen Yi es un personaje lejos de ser perfecto, pero podemos ver dentro de su perfección la humanidad que posee. Simplemente Tan Jianci hizo un gran papel en esta serie. Esperare con ansias la siguiente temporada.Pd: ame que los casos se centraran en mujeres, le dio por alguna razon un toque único.

One of the best c-dramas I've watched in my life
The main leads are extremely smart. They use both facts and intuitions to do things. What I like the most is the plot and the leads' chemistry. Highly highly highly recommended.I know, some people may think of the main leads are too overpowered like they're invincible. The plots may feel boring for some pople, not to mention that it is a completely crime and mystery drama, so there's no any romantic scenes.
The interaction between the 2 leads are refreshing and heartwarming, how they turned from being hostile toward each other to the kind of swore buddies who will never leave the other behind. Their bond is even stronger than my balance these days.

Thrills, Chills, and Forensic Genius: 'Under the Skin'
I really enjoyed this drama! And I think it's definetly a gem amound Chinese crime dramas and also the start of my mini obsession with Tan JianCi lol. The aspect that makes this stand out the most is the way they solve the cases, using forsenic science. The focus on forensic portrait drawing is so well done, and really exciting. In a way to see how ShenYi will solve the next case is always so fun and exhilarating. The drama consists of multiple cases with no filler episodes all leading to the overaching case which involes both leads ShenYi and DuCheng. The other side character are also pretty memorable within the drama. At times, ShenYi seems like an absolute god that can solve anything lol and the music fits really well with converying and influencing emotions. I also think that ShenYi is kinda hawt lol. This drama does contain various triggering topics so be warmed before watching this, I think it's funny how this kind of thing scared me but I still wait it. pas incontournable
Ce n'est pas une mauvaise série, mais elle ne fait pas partie des séries "À voir absolument".Il y a des choses intéressantes dans le scénario (le postulat de départ est plutôt original) et les personnages ne sont pas aussi simples qu'ils le semblent le paraître au premier abord. C'est plutôt bien interprété, mais pas de grosse révélation de ce côté là non plus. Et puis, la fin est cousue de fils blanc, c'est sans surprise (bonnes ou mauvaise)
Je n'en garderais pas un souvenir impérissable et je ne la reregarderais pas.

An artist solves crimes by drawing plus good friendship between the Leads
This drama has unique way of solving crimes never seen before in any other detective drama ,, the male lead is a brilliant artist also a very smart person who uses his creativity in his drawings to expose criminals and solve difficult crimes but he has mysterious past that wasn't ever revealed in the drama also he's some what lonely , polite and very calm not arogenate geniusthat's what I love about the male lead ,,he's not just a genius artist no he also a genius detective ,, psychological profiler and very polite towards people around him , he wasn't ever arogenate nor condescending as the other male lead
There are a lot of un answered questions in this drama about the male lead
like
was he an orphan ?? what is his background ?? they didn't mention but the incident that turned him in a detective artist and his teacher's case that's it
also the friendship was lacking alot and the director wasted so many good scenes to show proper friendship or Bromance
they are two detectives who are in danger most of the time and they save each other rather quickly then move on with no much of friendship talk scenes or caring scenes as if they were wrong to happen between them
but there were good friendship scenes towards the end nothing big just some jokes and ordinary friendship

The cases were really smart for the first half of the drama and really intriguing very fast paced ,, they didn't drag any case but they used too much time to confuse us in every case
this drama is one of the best detective chinese dramas and it's light with absolutely no romance to ruin it
I hope there is a second season for it
this drama will get you hooked from the start to finish but it has so many holes and rushed scenes unfortunately
but I recommend it to anyone likes friendship and unique detective drama
