My honest review
Okay so I really really really liked what Yumi and Yu ba bi had, like he was perfect for her, honestly I think the writer/ director/ producer is the problem in this season 2 cos things were going really well between both of them but they just wanted to break them up at all cost, I get that they wanted to follow the books and all but they shouldn't have made ba bi perfect then, they are prolonging it for nothing, Yumi was really happy with him and if they knew they were not going to let them be together at the end, they should have not brought them back together. Well considering that babi is going on any blind dates I really hope in season 3, they end up together because he was really good for her, if we are being honest and compare her relationship with woongi that we know that babi was better for her but like I said they were just bent on making them split up, all in all it was a good watch until episode 14, the cast were still looking beautiful, the music was good, watch it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

we grow slowly from endings, then we realize the dreams we wish to come is our first priority
goshhhhh I love how the storyline goes on after season 1 :') It feels like im debating between the cells and the characters haha. I do love how it all started and how yumi find another life to live, which is moving on from her past relationship with woong, until she gets to fall in love with someone she met from work (which is babi). I love the continuation of the story, especially the story gets even more deeper... as its diving deeper to yumi's healing process from her heartbreak and how she changed her life completely due to her dream of being a writer ever since she was little. With the said storyline, I also do love how it is also based from the webtoon. This gave me so much questions to ponder inside my head from the scenes leading through the story, and wondering if this, that, or those would happen. And actually, I do love how I predicted some of the scenes on the go that made me get so proud at myself and binge-watching it as well! I finally decided that the two seasons would be part of my favorite kdramas of all time :>STORY/PLOT
The story continues after Yumi had her previous heartbreak, as she slowly matured enough, healing from the pain and suffering she encountered. Until then, thoughts ponders her head as she wants to pursue to be a writer. As few of her cells are fading away, but the other cells remains but a different primer cell is leading her life. With that, Yumi and Woong had a different path of life while focusing by their own dreams as they slowly get their success... but then, Babi, a colleague worker who give inspiration to Yumi until as they grow closer, Yumi had decided to open up a new relationship with him. The different path of the cells are having their mission to be a success, but with challenges and unexpected twists and turns to happen with Yumi and Babi. Will Yumi still had the feelings of emotion and love while chasing her dreams to come true?
That question ponders through my head while I was in the middle of the episode of the second season. I also love how the cells are slowly growing back together, controlling Yumi, and new cells are being introduced to make the story seems more exciting and interesting as well haha. Well with the second season, some parts of the story answers few questions that gave me a second thought of why and how it happened during the last season.
With rivalry comes in the middle with Babi and Woong, most especially with their own cells. From here, in between the two of them, I do love how Yumi grows apart from her past relationships. If I was asked who between the two, I would say Woong was still the best one yet, even if he had this "little childish act". But he's really good for Yumi, but seems due to their misunderstandings, Yumi decided to take a break, and where the miscommunications starts to happen, until it was a a little sad heartbreak for Yumi. On the other hand, I do love Babi, but not as same as Woong. Babi was a softie, king, generous, loyal to Yumi, but then he's too good for her. Because of his heartfelt feeling all of a sudden unexpected feelings he do feel other than to Yumi, I think its also one of the weaknesses he encountered. Not to be so biased, but in the second season, I do discovered and wondered at the same time the weaknesses that both Woong and Babi has. There, I do understand well the reasons of why Yumi ended her relationship. It also for the benefit that she could get to be away from her temptations and living no regrets at the end... :') With that, all of her struggles and pains she discovered in the middle and at the end, it grows inside of her differently. Learning from her past relationships of where she was also missing.
Overall with this part, I do love how it turns out, but still we deserve a season 3 since we need Yumi to be more happier with satisfaction :) And after all, Yumi wanted a life where she is satisfied with what's happening. Finding the happiness she deserves to feel... <3
CAST/CHARACTERS
Well well well, I would definitely thank the cast who did so well with the first and second season, but I do really fell in love each one of them also where they also find their own path of life not only to Yumi and the main characters, but as well as the characters who help cope Yumi's life ending to be a satisfaction <3
I'll go first with Kim Go Eun as Yumi. She has so much potential and she improved a lot from Little Women, Goblin, The King, Eternal Monarch (The first drama that I discovered her) and Cheese on the Trap!! Now I watched all of her projects, she deserve the recognition she has, and now since Little Women, I praised her a lot from her acting!! She's one of my lowkey favorite hallyu actress in kdrama!!
Gosh ever since the first season, I do love her and felt her feelings of emotions a lot. I do really love Yumi till the second season because in there its visible that she's growing a lot. I love her development throughout both the first and second season.
Next, Ahn Bo Hyun as Woong. Ahn Bo Hyun also improved a lot, after watching some of his roles from the very first kdrama appearance that I watched before, Itaewon Class and some of the dramas I continued watching because of his potentials as well! Such as Her Private Life, Descendants of the Sun and lastly, he's well known role from My Name!! With his character, not to be so biased, I'll start with him as I get so much feels when Woong and Yumi are together on screen!! I do get the feels haha :')) He's really paired up with Yumi as they really meant for each other. Woong's character development from season 1 till season 2 is still present. but the fact where his childness is still there haha :')) Woong is also one of my favorite characters, he shines so well for Yumi and very supportive and caring at the same time. No matter the relationship he had with Yumi, I do really ship Woomi :'))
Lastly, Park Jin Young as Yoo Babi. Park Jin Young's role is also not new to me since I also saw him for the first time from his role He is Psychometric. He was also did well with this drama. I appreciated his acting skills, but I do hate his character after all what Yumi feels. I do love the ending between them, ending with less to no regrets... <3 I do love Babi *again and again* but I was hoping he would change, but not that well... But overall, I do love Park Jin Young, but not the character much :') hehe.
And to the other casts, I thanked them because they made first and second season more interesting and how they made me happy and laughing all the way. It was a fun ride, with them and how the story was really well written <33 Rooting for the casts as well!!
To end this note, overall it was really a good watch for season 1 and 2. I do love how it ends pretty well... and speculations arise since the ending feels like there is a season 3 and hoping that it would be true tho ;') But still this drama is very recommended to those who wants to watch it <33
Great for binge-watch, a time killer, great for beginners and very recommended, love how the writer made the well made <33
And that's end of my note, I actually took almost 1 hour to type this note haha since I had good feelings with this drama having 2 seasons <33 really loving the drive of emotions I had while watching it. <33 Looking forward to the casts next projects to come!! DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION!!! <333

'Yumi's Cells' review: Back for a second chance at love and dreams
Is love sweeter the second time around or more cruel?Yumi's Cells Season 2 tells the story of Yumi and Babi's relationship from her brain cells' point of view. Will she get her happy ending this time or will another heartbreak be added to her list?
For starters, Yumi's Cells illuminates Yumi's conflicted emotional life with superb storytelling, animation and performances. This k-drama is very inventive and psychologically astute, witty, imaginative, and utterly relatable.
What sticked to me the most from Season 1 was the seamless transition between the animation and the reality. However, for this new season the show hardly shed light on Babi's cells. His thoughts and true intentions remained a mystery throughout the run time. Perhaps this was a plot device to keep the audience glued to their screens and constantly wonder if Babi is her endgame.
In contrast to Season 2, Woong's cell village had a fair share of screentime. Woong and Babi's personalities are in opposite spectrum after all. Woong is an introvert and is not expressive. Babi on the other hand is a straightfoward guy and always speaks his mind to avoid confusions and misunderstandings.
Woong ponders a lot before talking that's why the cell village can discuss what tactic to take on. He doesn't even have that much cells because almost everything acts according to an program That speaks volume to how intelligent Woong is.
However, Babi is very eloquent with words (he's actually a marketing specialist) but we don't get to see enough decision making going in on at his cell village. We don't even get to see his naughty cell. All that Yumi's love cell saw in his village is that he is very romantic and sincere. Babi was at a very disadvantageous point because no one really knows what's going on in his head.
The two seasons also highlighted different concepts. Season 1 pointed out that opposites attract while season 2 condemns this by telling that same people attract each other. Woong and Yumi do not share the same interests, hobbies and group of friends. Interestingly, Yumi and Babi had a lot in common. This is what essentially draws Yumi to Babi. They both like reading books and listening to the same type of music. It seems logical that they attract each other as they think similarly. The absence of AI in Babi's village cell attests to this.
Going back to Babi's character development, I still had tons of questions about it. When the story reached its dilemmas, Babi's change of heart suddenly doesn't make sense to me.
Babi is someone who speaks his mind and it is very unlikely of him to hide secrets and get swayed by a young intern. Those were my first thoughts. However, looking back at Babi's past actions and relationships, it seems like he's not the green flag guy we all thought he is. He's actually the opposite.
If one can remember, Babi actually developed his feelings for Yumi even while they were both in a relationship. Reason and sensitivity cells tried so hard to hide this fact from Yumi. The alarming red flag about Babi is that he gets wavered easily whenever his girlfriend is not around which is a very unfaithful thing to do. I really felt defeated and saddened by this realization because who on earth can resist Babi's charming and alluring presence? He's simply irresistable and attractive.
I can't help but notice the similarities between Babi and Yijin from Twenty Five Twenty One. Everyone keeps telling that Yijin is a green flag for being a supportive and understanding boyfriend to Heedo. The same thing can be applied to Babi.
Both guys are very considerate towards their partners. However, kindness is not the foundation of being a green flag. Both main leads failed to be consistent, honest and maintain an open communication. Babi and Yijin kept secrets from their partners — the former not telling Yumi how he got affected by an intern's confession as well as when he got in an accident; while the latter not telling his SO that he is going through a rough patch and he doesn't want to share his burden, pain and sorrows.
Still, one can't help but feel that the writers did dirty on Babi by the second half of the show. The sweet and romantic moments between Babi and Yumi were actually based on Yumi and Soonrok's scenes in the webtoon. The directors and writers purposefully led us to the thinking that Babi is a wonderful and dreamy partner. We, the audience, got fooled and disappointed at the end. I personally really felt that it was hard to let go someone like Babi.
As for the performance, Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung's chemistry was insane to say the least. They portray immense love for each on-screen and it's undeniable that they would make such a great couple in real life. Their soft face features compliment each other. I hope that they can work on a project soon with a HEA.
Overall, Yumi's Cells is a lovely kdrama which transforms emotional conflict into an adventure. There's a beauty and care in every scene of this k-drama. As we tag along Yumi's self-actualization journey, we learn about the pain of growing up, heartbreaks and handling big, new emotions as they come and go.

Maybe a waste of time? Maybe not...
Starts off strong, keeps you watching just to see what happens next but not necessarily in a "this is a really good drama" way. More like "wait... who is she going to end up with?" Keep in mind I did not watch the first season since the reviews weren't too great and I have not read the webtoon/comic it's based off of, but I decided to give this season a chance since I wanted to see Jinyoung and Kim Go-eun together. I was still able to understand and pick things up pretty quickly despite not having seen the first season.Positives:
- The cells were interesting and mostly fun to watch, although they can be a bit "in the way" when you just want to see what happens next to Yumi and Babi. Fun to see how they visually represent emotions and feelings mostly everyone has gone through. It does make typically short scenes drag on though.
- Acting is great, whole cast played their roles well.
- Nice to see Jinyoung and Shin Ye-eun together again, even if it wasn't the best of circumstances.
- Cute moments, heart fluttering moments, funny moments, dramatic moments
- Keeps you engaged for the most part
- The soundtrack for this show is great and fits well
Negatives:
- Some scenes drag on for a while since they have to show how the cells react to the situations
- Can obviously tell it's based on a webtoon given the way things play out. Ending is a set-up for another season?
- The show makes you go through two whole seasons with two different guys, only to have both of them discarded at the end in order to set up another love interest for the next season.
- By the end of the show, Babi and Woong are still not over Yumi, yet she's already off trying to find another guy. I wish they could've at least had Babi and/or Woong move on or find another love interest. Just seems weird to go through entire seasons with these characters and their relationships only to have them tossed to the side anyway (other than being swayed for a moment, Babi was such a great guy, and Woong seemed okay too despite being kind of stalkerish and overly-obsessed with Yumi, yet neither of them get a real happy ending).
- Some unrealistic moments that scream "webtoon plot progression" and unnecessary side plots. Woong suddenly becoming successful and rich, Ruby and Control Z's sudden relationship that I didn't really care for, editor Ahn Dae-young's plotline that was admittedly funny but not really necessary.

Kind of a letdown
OK I watched this in about a week and I wasn't hooked until the third or fourth episode. My eyes fall out over the male leads who are already two of my faves. Why she had trouble choosing is beyond me. Take 'em both. But what puzzles me is this: what the hell was she pissed about with either guy? Does she know anything about life? I had a great long marriage with an angel and now he is one but if you think there was never a moment of jealousy or doubt you're crazy and/or stupid. And she held them to higher standards than she did herself. Unfair.
And the real question is why did either of them want her in the first place because she's not that HOT looking and she is terminally BORING!!! BORING!! Jesus put you to sleep for a month.
I expected more.

A MASSIVE LETDOWN, poor writing, and even worse new male lead!
After the interesting 1st season, the second one was disappointing to say the least.I can only name like a few positive things about this season. The biggest one is when this irritating Bobi guy weren't around. I just can't understand why people on MDL keep saying, they're on his side and he's the best. Maybe all of you are GOT7 fangirls, I don't know, but if that's the case, don't rate Kdramas, please!
They had ZERO chemistry with Yumi, it was a physical relationship since day 1. The guy acted like a typical perfect, handsome and kind dude, but he was anything but that. HE WAS A REAL PLAYER! He may look handsome, but Yumi were still in a relationship when he started flirting with her in the 1st season. You just don't put your coat on a woman, especially if her boyfriend is there, doesn't matter if he's drunk or not. And when they broke up, the first thing he did was asked her out when she only broke up with Woong like a couple of days ago. Or at least, I that's what I thought, because we hardly got any info about how many months passed. I didn't get why Yumi started dating with him so soon, anyway. She didn't have anyone for 3 years after her 1st boyfriend cheated on him, and they were together for 7 years, I think.
The other thing is that the minute they started dating, Bobi already was on a speed dial, I thought he's gonna do the nasty with her in the car. Who the hell does that? I'm not a prude at all, but he was a completely different character after they started dating. And let's not talk about the fact that he basically cheated on Yumi. YES, it was (emotional) cheating. If you don't feel anything for another woman, you just don't move away because you're afraid of seeing her again. How old are you, 5?
And this wasn't even the worst thing he did with Yumi! He lied for a whole week about where he was, he broke his leg, but didn't tell her girlfriend, because he didn't want her to worry? Then, 1 minute later, asked her to marry him, and she said yes? WHAT THE ACTUAL BLOODY HELL? Who the heck does that? Both of them were crazy, for sure.
You can say whatever you want about Woong, he wasn't perfect, no one is, but he never cheated on Yumi, and he only lied about his company. That's a fixable problem. It's understandable why he felt, he's not good enough for her, even tho Yumi never cared about that, and honestly, their whole break up was nonsense. If Yumi wait for 5 minute, he would've said yes to her proposal.
Honestly, I can't believe I say this, but Ruby was the best character on the show and with Control Z they were so funny.😂
If there's gonna be another season, I'm not gonna watch it, unless if it's about Yumi and Woong, because I don't see the point of watching another season with another guy.
I already skipped most of the animated parts because it was boring and irritating. It only felt fresh and original in the 1st season. The writers overused it, and we saw the same scenes multiple times as well, that was also ridiculous.
I don't even remember when was the last time a Kdrama made me this frustrated.
Big potential, big letdown!

Yumi Cells 2 was a very cute watch and I will cherish all the sweet moments :)
After moving on from her heartbreak, we see Yumi (Kim Go Eun) and her colorful cells deal with the courage to step out on her own as a writer as her new romance blossoms with Yu Babi (Park Jin Young). The arc that bridges Yumi Cells 1 and 2 felt natural. In season 1, Babi has been around as her coworker but he never was presented as another love interest option for Yumi. So after breaking up with Woong and we see her moving on, Babi’s presence just fits as someone who is there for Yumi. The flow of both relationships were just as refreshing because Woong and Babi’s personalities were very different. I also appreciate seeing a more dynamic journey of Yumi as a writer since it was always been her dream.
Although I think season 1's cells were more charming, there are still hilarious, emotional moments. Also, surprisingly naughty moments between Yumi and Babi's little cells, I love those! XD That's a testament to how vibrant Yumi and Babi's chemistry were. I love every time he convinces her in his blunt and swoony manner, and when he was so sincere when he takes care of her. What I don't understand is the annoying side characters and the conflicts that seem to stem from out-of-character decisions, which makes me upset till the ending. Other than that, Yumi Cells 2 was cute and I will cherish all the sweet moments! :)

so disappointing it ended up NOTHING PS.I hope there is no season 3. If it still happens like this
The story was going well, but when it was ending, it was disappointing that nothing had ended in self love, it was boring, overall, it was good that they had chemistry, that's why they broke up, that's why I'm even more annoyed, why is it so irritating? with this acting, the good promise is gone, the story line is not really good, the ending is annoying, I wish it was good, but there is no ending. I wish I hadn't watched it so I wouldn't have been hurt. It's really annoying. The Worst And The Best Boyfriend Ever

Good Enough
Korean Drama "Yumi's Cells" follows the same pattern as the one in the first season, however, this time, it fails to deliver. The drama does have good performances that save the show, as do the cute cells that do what they do best, they offer solid comedy when it's needed. They are also well-made and nicely inserted into the story.
On the other hand, the story was messy and boring. The love story was just okay, but it wasn't as original and realistic as the first one, especially due to the unnecessary drama that was added to the love story.
So, overall, 5 out of 10.
