I wish the main couple had more of a spark
This drama is suuuuuper cute and a lot of fun! It also has plenty of hilarious scenes.Honestly, there wasn't much plot to it and the last three episodes were pretty much a super long epilogue, but if you're in the mood for a light hearted drama with lots of laughs, a crazy amount of couples, wholesome friendship and even an epic bromance, this is the show for you!
When it was good, it was great. But I was a bit let down by a few things, the biggest being that, yes, Han Byeol and Tae Seong were super cute and adorable together, but when they kissed I didn't feel like there was any attraction between them. Most of the time, it very much looked like they were kissing because they had to and not because they wanted to. I wanted be convinced they were mad for each other, and the vibes weren't there. But maybe that was just me. I loved Weightlifting Fairy so much that it's hard to ship Sung Kyung with any other co-star that isn't Joo Hyuk.
P.S. for all intent and purposes, this drama doesn't have a villain or antagonist. There was a lame attempt at it, and tbh that was the weakest aspect of the show. Still a good watch experience overall though.

Slow start
July 2024I found the first episode chaotic in terms of setting the story. I had no idea where it was going and didn't feel engaged at all.
I always give a show at least 3eps before I decide whether to continue or not, and overall, am pleased I carried on. The more episodes that play out, the better it gets.
There's a little of everything here; showbizz setting of a successful acting agency, frienemies, work colleagues, friendships, relationships, love and some family stuff too.
The work environment is often hectic and seems most devoted to dealing with negative press and rumours/scandals, before they create too much damage. Lip service is paid to other aspects of the business. There is a fair bit around actors shooting their dramas, plus recruiting rookies in that profession and training new agency staff.
There was a definite message often projected, I felt, that famous people are also human. It gave examples of partially overheard conversations being misinterpreted and spread across social media, causing the inevitable 'scandals'. The Agency is then shown issuing warnings of legal action etc, etc. There's even an unlikely sasaeng type character.
Unfortunately what they don't do, is show those types getting punished.
There are some genuinely funny moments in this, where I had a good laugh; there are also some touching bits too. A lot of really daft stuff as well, which did make me cringe on a few occasions.
The romance is pretty immature at times, but then with little to no romantic relationship experience of the characters, it's not surprising and age isn't then relevant.
I like the cast a lot and thought Kim Young-dae portrayed the often dual personas of his mega star character, well. He's dedicated to his work and fans and professionally mature, but immature in other ways. It's interesting.
Have to drop in that on Gong Tae-sung's photo shoots, he looks ?
I like Lee Sung-kyung, too, and have seen her in a number of dramas. In this, she has a definite RBF (resting b***h face) and her character only just managed to stay on the right side of being too irritating for me, especially in earlier eps.
I rarely mention looks, but I can't not say that whenever she wore short skirts, I could not overlook how skinny she is, in this role. Not slim, but very thin, especially her legs. This really stood out to me and I found myself being distracted by that.
Also, one major aspect of the drama's story that suddenly popped up, was dealt with too lightly for me. For such a serious issue to be dropped in and then concluded so lightly, left me very unimpressed. A subject that has far too big a foot in reality, should have had a larger chunk of the plot's time, instead of repeated silly moments of bickering and running around. I think it would have added to the story and given it some gravity.
Even so, I did enjoy this, even if it lacked that depth to some of the characters. It's not a bad, or difficult, watch and often quite sweet. I wouldn't watch it again, but neither would I say don't bother.

mid level drama
the drama started off quite slow for me, only picking up about episode 7, though past that point it felt as though conflict was being created for the sake of it. there were about 5 different antagonists following one episode to the next..it felt like there was no real story so they were cramming in a bunch of mini ones.is it a love story? is it an office drama? is it an antifan drama? it it about the lost of a friend? is it about a stalker? it is about the strained relationship between mother and son? so many things going on!
I didn't mind the main characters, they seemed to have okay chemistry, but they were outshone by the 2 young actors (who got married in the end). Aside from that, the other characters felt unnecessary and used just to fill the time... no real substance or chemistry.
there were some laugh-out-loud moments though... wish it stuck to the comedy piece a little more, as I think it would have been a better watch
All in all, it was just okay. I don't like to rate unless I've watched it all, but this took me a month to get through and I watched a few dramas in between, so that should say enough.

Smiling with every episode!
I was giving up because of these awful reviews, but I gave it a chance and no regrets! It has been so many funny moments i couldn't stop watching it. It is a relaxing story without many kdrama expectations. I can say it is the funniest of this year 2022, much better than the overrated BP.I watched all episodes one after the other because I wanted it to happen soon. Lol! then i remember it is a kdrama so kissing wont happen before the final episode. Of course you will find so many drama cliches. Give it a chance and enjoy it.

I honestly think this is one of the best dramas
its had been very long since I was trying to find a good romance comedy drama. and I came across sh**ting stars. I promise you except wait for the episodes nothing abt this drama sucks. the acting is phenomenal. the story line is yes similar to alot of other k dramas but I think that's why I watch most of the k dramas too be swept of the feet with the tension, the romance, the wait for them to kiss and hold hands. and this k drama gives me all of that . every Friday and saturday I cannot wait for the episodes to come.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

It's the perfect combination of romance, comedy & a little bit of suspense (from ep 7)
The story goes around two college friends who met at a movie theater by chance. They both get attracted towards each other. And then came to knew that they are in same college. And futher they became colleagues as an Actor (Ging Tae Sung) & PR team head (Oh han Byul). And later realised their feelings for each other. I started this drama for Kim Young Dae (Gong Tae Sung) and ended up falling for Lee Jung Shin (Do Soo Hyuk) But after watching episode 7 & 8 you will be curious about the lady who makes food for Gong Tae Sung. Cause I'm really curious about her. Who's she? Why she always add extra salt in Gong Tae Sung's food? Why she went to store and bougth the limited edition watch? And why Gong Tae Sung mom is afraid of her?Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Very Boring
Come from the actress off weightlifting fairy, this is quite the disappointment. This show is very slow and is very boring, with the amount of boring scenes this could just be a bunch of fillers mashed together. With having such a great actress start this is totally wasted talent. I haven't seen such a boring show in a while, but this one is just cliché boring I wouldn't recommend to watch this one. If they were to redo the story and talk more about supporting the characters then it would be better, the story is all over the place and bland.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Love stories behind the scenes
Shooting Stars offers a story about the different lives of people behind the cameras. Starting from writers, managers and PR’s who work hard to take care of the image of their artists.During the drama, these characters also unveil the hardships of their work especially in handling their actors. Even though they are immersed in their jobs, they also opened their hearts to the people whom they like. Shooting Stars shows that a well-balanced lifestyle would make one’s heart happy.
The background music and the pairing were effective, although the acting of the cast felt overdone and sometimes there was a lack of stability. The drama felt monotonous at times however the end result was not bad at all.
My Rating : 7/10

Amazing
This show is so good and I was not expecting it at all. A lot of the things I wanted from Lovely Runner were given to me (finally) in this drama. The cast is filled to the brim and I still love every single character. The work that the writing put in to make SURE you know every character is so apparent. I loved the leads and ALL of the secondary romances. For once we don't have an awkward ending for the 2nd ML, he gets his own happy ending that is set up so well. This care is put into every storyline and I appreciated it so much.
Also this show is so freaking funny.
My main compliment is to the meaningful commentary that this show makes about the entertainment industry and fandom culture. It does a great job of highlighting how fandom culture strips a lot of celebrities of their freedom and humanity in exchange for the fame and wealth that they enjoy. There are multiple episodes that touch on that while cleverly utilizing its setting and premise to facilitate that… This drama also talks about celebrity depression and how fandom behavior contributes to that. While watching the characters reconcile their feelings about the tragedies of life you do the same… I did cry, I felt better after.
Anyways, great STUFF.
Will rewatch soon.

Gostei bastante

Surprisingly Satisfying... ?
I went into watching this drama having low expectations but I finished it feeling nicely satisfied. It was nothing mind blowing and it wasn't a drama that will have a lasting impact on me. When I think about the best dramas I've watched this certainly won't come to my mind, HOWEVER as an easy watch to view between dramas that are more on the gritty side it's very good!
The thing that makes this drama the most is the side characters. The main couple are great don't get me wrong, but if it wasn't for the rest of the cast it would've been very dull. It was fun to see all the couples get together and for friendships to form.
I did enjoy Gong Tae Sung's character, it was enjoyable to have a ml with a personality more on the silly side. As a result the humor in the drama was actually funny.
Overall a good drama to watch when you don't want to concentrate too hard but nothing really extraordinary.
