Living for Tomorrow.

IMPECCABILE.

Hope in the Face of Adversity
I really liked this drama. Suicide is an extremely complex topic and this drama wasn't always realistic in terms of how quickly some of the cases seemed to be wrapped up. I wished they'd emphasized the importance of treatment/ therapy after the chraracters overcame their crisis situations, but overall the drama did touch on some very important aspects and shed light on the struggles that people face on a daily basis.I went through so many emotions watching this, sadness, rage, irritation, disbelief and happiness to name a few. This drama tugged at my heart strings like very few dramas before this could and to me the underlying theme was always having hope in the face of adversity. I appreciated the bits of humour sprinkled in since it made me smile in some of the heavier parts of the show.
The entire cast, main, suppoting and guests, did an amazing job and the acting was quite moving. I was a little disappointed that Lee Soo Hyuk didn't have a bigger role since I originally started this drama because he was listed as a main character, but that's a small issuse.
If you're watching this drama, beware of the tags since the themes are on the heavier side.

Visually perfect and a great story
Tomorrow is about the reasons as to why people commit suicide, and it explores this theme through a squad of grim reapers called the Risk Management team. It's pretty clever, and the story is told really well. They don't hesitate to delve into the emotional, personal stories they're telling, and I ended up crying multiple times. It also presents a critique of various social issues, including hypercapitalism, social status, comfort women, etc. I thought it was wonderfully done, and it looked perfect throughout. Only complaint I might have is that it got a little slow at times, so if you're the type of person who likes constant action it may not be for you. Otherwise, amazing show.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

The feelings remain askdsald
So, this drama. I wasn't a fan of Rowoon's character, but he grew on me. And I must say that he is getting at acting, which is nice.I've seen Yun Ji On in Be Melodramatic, and I liked him back then, I also liked his acting now. His character is interesting and I must say that, out of the main characters, he was the one that had the most satisfying ending for me.
Before I talk about the other two mc characters (and, tbh, the reson I picked up the drama) I want to say that I liked the way they approached the different cases, especially the one of the comfort women. It was done with respect and it does help to make people take knowledge of it (I myself didn't know anything about them until I saw Chicago Typewriter a few years ago, and then I read about it and consumed other novels like, for example, Pachinko, that also mentions them), especially considering the international audience a show that can be seen through Netflix has. The case I wasn't completely satisfied with was the one about the eating disorder, because it isn't as simple as suddenly accepting yourself and deciding to eat, I would've liked to see that character getting proffesional help from an interdisciplinary team.
Now, regarding Goo Ryun and Park Joon Gil, the pacing the directors chose left little time and they gave them a rushed conclusion that only didn't suck because this two CAN ACT, their eye acting was so good that it saved a little the lack of dialogue and scenes they should've been given together. I'm still annoyed that they waited until the final episode for PJG to know about their past and, that after he found out, they had only one scene in which they talked about it. That scene served as an apology from PJG about his rash decitions in the past, and as an exoneration for GR because now he understands what she went through and there is some peace in his acceptance. I get that, but I honestly think we should've been given more scenes of them post that, not a vague one at the end that is supposed to be lighthearted. Because their relationship was one of the things this drama revolved around, and then it was just discarded. This is what I meant when I said that, out of the mcs, Im Ryung Goo is the one that had a more satisfying resolution about his past life.

People's words/ actions can really make or break someone...
Woah! The plot is so good! There are scenes that made me pause watching just to cry and pause to feel a little better. There are also scenes that made me mad with the society we live in. The world is just so cruel for everyone. And there are people who needs help to survive this cruel reality.
We need more people who have kind souls and people who utter kind words. We all need need to be careful on what to say and we do.
This drama is so recommendable but might not be suitable for everyone. It tackles a lot of cruel things but there are a lot of comforting words from it too.
The actors really amazed me by their acting! Kuddos to the team! We need Season 2!

The one with the dog...
I was warned that this one would be really heavy and they were right. I'm a binge watcher. Give me everything all at once, please and thank you! But this one I had to have some space in between episodes to process. The subject matter is clear based on the synopsis but I could see how some would find this to be a bit of a torture fest.Story
Each episode is it's own story, with the past of reapers sprinkled in. Episodes 6, 10, and 13 really gutted me. Full on sobbing. While those stories were painful to watch, they needed to be told. Episode 9 was also hard to watch and I'm pretty sure I disassociated for some of it as my dog was on the bed while I watched. The ending was bitter sweet. I was hoping they would have Joon Woong use his 'freebie' with the Jade Emperor to stay with the RM team. They had a few great gateways as in the marketing episode he commented on the plight of working in a traditional job. I will give props to the writers for the way they handled Ryeon and Joong Gil.
Acting/Cast
*Takes Deep Breath* Now I know there is a lot of back and forth over a certain actor but I think this was casted very well. Hee Sun was a badass. She made Ryeon human but also powerful. Soo Hyuk always gives villain vibes which worked out so well in as Joong Gil is the perfect gray character. Do we like him? Do we hate him? That depends on the episode. Rowoon/Joon Woong was the perfect balance that the show needed. He was the over emotional and immature human (he coworkers were over 400 years old.) He offered comedic relief but also true emotion. I'm pretty sure I sobbed even harder when he saluted the guy at the end of episode 6. I can't imagine this work was easy for the cast to complete. These are the stories that weigh heavy on a person and they have to live them (to an extent.)
Music
I enjoyed the intro and epilogue music. Was it memorable? No. But that isn't a bad things as in these case the stories needed to the be the star.
Rewatch Value
I'm torn on this one as the content (again) is heavy. This may be one of those that you can go into select episodes for a quick hit. I can see re watching this with a friend to generate some conversation or see what their thoughts are on these social topics.

Fantasy realism
The premise might be fantasy but the topics taken up were all about the real world. Never seen anything like it before and somehow it kinda restored my faith in why I am such a big fan of Korean dramas. This drama had everything; mystery, fantasy, action, romance, you name it and it will be present in this drama. At parts this drama made me genuinely cry and I had to sit back and take a breather to calm down. But at the same time, the level of satisfaction you get from the fact that there were absolutely no loose ends left in this drama was the best part. It touched so many sensitive topics and made me have some self realisation and a reality check about the gravity of these for the first time in my life, this was probably the most important area of the drama for me which really had loving and binging this series before I knew it.If I wished for anything more from this drama, it would just be that I wanted more episodes.
This drama left me craving for more!

Best k-drama ever
This drama made me cry sometimes. It has a lot of stories inside, not only helping people from suicide. Also this drama can help absolutely everyone with their choices of life. I very loved it, and also it is enough funny for everyone! Every single episode was very interesting. All actors are best. 쿠션 was the best!! I really love her. Sometimes this drama is very sad because of story of Lim Ryung Gu or even Ku Ren. There is a lot of unexpected moments that we understand only in the end of whole drama and it made interestEsta resenha foi útil para você?
What would you do with a second chance?
You've been working so hard all your life, but just when you reach out to someone needing help, everything comes to an end. Lost and hopeless, you get a second chance to prove your value by learning how much life is worth living. When I saw in the cast list the lovely Rowoon and immidiately thought fo my precious Haru (character from Extraordinary You), and watching the trailer I bielieved it would have been a funny kdrama, something not so deep and thoughtful. Well, I was wrong.
This drama keeps you up with a smile just to throw the rought reality in front of your face as hard as it can. The backstories and the link between the main characters, but also the stories of the people they have to help make you simpathize with them.
